Analysis of Satisfaction Level Regarding Removable Dentures for Aged Patients in Dental Hospitals or Clinics (치과병·의원 노인환자들의 가철성 의치 사용 만족도 분석)

  • This study investigated the satisfaction level of aged patients over sixty five years old or over who were treated in a dental hospital or clinic in the metropolitan area. The difference in satisfaction level by general characteristics of aged patients and characteristics related to the treatment as well as the correlation of satisfaction level by each factors with the overall satisfaction level of the treatment were analyzed, resulting as follows. 1. Satisfaction level of dentures by each factors resulted as following. Average general satisfaction level marked $3.47{\pm}0.74$, average functional satisfaction level marked $2.66{\pm}0.83$, and aesthetic satisfaction level marked $3.78{\pm}0.65$. 2. There were no significant difference in general and functional satisfaction level by each factors from the population statistic of the participants. Aesthetic satisfaction level differed by the educational background(p=0.01). 3. There were no significant difference in general and aesthetic satisfaction level by the oral health condition as well as the treatment quality. Functional satisfaction level differed by the oral health condition(p=0.01). 4. The correlation of satisfaction level by each factors with the overall satisfaction level of the treatment differed as follows. In case each factors were satisfactory, the overall result of the treatment marked satisfactory as well. However, in case each factors were dissatisfactory, the overall result of the treatment marked dissatisfactory showing difference with the above result(p=0.000). 5. Each factor showed statistically positive correlation. Functional satisfaction level and general satisfaction level showed the highest correlation(r=0.677).

A Study on Contemporary Beauticians' Job Satisfaction

  • This study was conducted out of necessity for attempting to identify what degree of satisfaction contemporary beauticians having to accomplish this expanded role of theirs had and what factors had an effect on their job satisfaction. Based on the study results, the following conclusion was drawn: 1) It was found that beauticians‘ level of job satisfaction with its components was in the order of 'vocational pride'(3.66), 'human relations'(3.39), 'autonomy'(3.29), 'required job'(3.13), and 'vocational duty'(3.01). 2) It was found that as to the level of job satisfaction according to religions beauticians with Buddhism had the highest level of job satisfaction with each of its components, followed by 'Others'(3.37), 'Christianity'(3.26), 'Catholicity'(3.25) and 'No Religion'(3.24). 3) It was found that as to the level of job satisfaction according to the future plan beauticians saying 'I will stop working at the same time that I marry'(3.68), 'I will continue working'(3.33), 'I will work for several more years'(3.30) and I will stop working at any time depending on circumstances'(3.29).

The Study on the Improvement of the Letter Sorting Station to Prevent WMSDs (집배원 근골격계 질환 예방을 위한 수구분대 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to redesign a letter sorting station and to present the optimal work-space through the ergonomic analysis of the sorting station for reducing the 'Work-Related MusculoSkeletal Disorders(WMSDs)'. We surveyed the work environment in terms of the reason causing WMSDs. According to the survey results, Deltoid on the arm, Trapezius on the shoulder and Erector Spinae on the waist are most frequent attacking parts. Accordingly, We classified sorting stations by the horizontal work-space(Level 1, Level 2, Level 3) and the vertical work space(Level 1, Level 2) based on the criteria of ergonomic optimal work-space. In addition we improved the sorting station through investigation and analysis of the work-load regard the each defined work-space. In order to analyze the effect of the horizontal and vertical work-space, subjects carried out simulated sorting tasks. Each level(Level 1, Level 2, Level3) of the horizontal work-space is significant regarding each muscles(the shoulder, arm and waist), and each level(Level 1, Level 2) of the vertical work-space is significant regarding the arm and waist, but not shoulder. Finally, we founded the difference of work-load according to the work-spaces. Then, it is necessary to improve the work-space causing the high work-load(Level 3 of the horizontal work-space). Then, this study presented the specification of a sorting station which is suitable to the korean body size, and constructed the 3D shaped model of the stations by the ergonomic analysis.

  • My questionaire survey revealed that even those experts that engage in architectural design did not precisely understand much of the regulations concerning ground-level. In terms of restricting the size of the building area, the generous policy of excluding balconies and basements from the calculation of building size actually causes problems. As far as the right to sunshine is concerned, the weighted average ground-level is determined to be the ground-level standard of the neighboring plot when the neighboring plot is a sloping bare ground. When the difference of heights is over 3 meters, it would be appropriate to assess the weighted ground-level standard every 3 meters.

An Exploratory Study on Institutional Commitment of C-University Students (C대학교 대학생의 대학 몰입에 관한 탐색적 논의)

  • The purpose of this study is to pave the way to promote the institutional commitment of the students enrolled by identifying the factors that affects on their institutional commitment. The data collection was conducted starting from November 19, 2020 until November 26, 2020 by using online questionnaires and 220 participants were from C-university students in Chang-won, Kyung-nam Province. As a result of analysis, the average score for institutional commitment was 3.30, the average level of satisfaction of university life was 3.62, the cultural climate was 3.39 and the level of satisfaction for extracurricular program was 3.48, which was in high range. Institutional commitment has a positive correlation between the level of satisfaction of university life, the level of satisfaction for extracurricular programs(p<.001). The most critical factor that affects the institutional commitment was the level of satisfaction of university life and the level of satisfaction for extracurricular programs, the cultural climate in order. The result can be interpreted that institutional commitment is influenced by students' major and the level of satisfaction of university life and the level of satisfaction for extracurricular programs, and the level of satisfaction of university life has relatively high level of influence out of other factors, indicating that the effort to improve the institutional commitment of the students is needed at the collegiate level.

Correlation between BMI and Physical Fitness of College Women in Seoul

  • This study investigated the correlation of the physical measurements and the basic physical fitness of 158 female students in the city of Seoul. The average age of the subjects was 22.0 ${\pm}$ 0.13 years old, the average height was 160.9 ${\pm}$ 0.7cm and the average weight was 53.4 ${\pm}$ 0.6kg. The mean BMI (Body Mass Index) was 20.7 ${\pm}$ 0.2kg/㎡. The average muscle mass was 36.5 ${\pm}$ 0.3 and the average body fat percentage was 28.0 ${\pm}$ 0.4%. The basic fitness levels of the subjects were measured based on the evaluation chart of the Korea Health and Science Research Institution (1994). The subjects were divided into 3 groups based on BMI(Group I : BMI < 20, Group II : 20 $\leq$ BMI < 25, Group III BMI $\geq$ 25) and the correlation between BMI and physical fitness was assessed. 1) The muscle strength of the subjects was measured by their grip strength, among other tests. Groups 1 and 2 were evaluated as “su” (level 1) and group 3 was “woo” (level 2). 2) Endurance 1 was tested by push-ups, and while groups 1 and 2 were evaluated as “su” (level 1), group 3 was “ga” (level 5). This result did not suggest any significant relevance among the subjects. 3) Endurance 2 was tested by sit-ups : groups 1 and 2 were evaluated as “mi” (level 3) and group 3 as “yang” (level 4). Group 2 and group 3 showed a significant difference. 4) Instant power was tested by standing high jumps, and although there was a significant difference between group 1 and group 3, all of the subjects were evaluated as “ga” (level 5). 5) Flexibility was measured by how far the subjects could bend forward. There was no significant relevance between the groups and they were all respectively evaluated as “woo” (level 2). 6) Agility was tested with side-steps and all the subjects showed poor agility as “yang” (level 4). 7) Heart and lung endurance was tested by the step test, calculating the maximum oxygen intake with the Physical Energy Index (PEI) and using the numbers according to the evaluation chart. Group 1 was evaluated as “mi” (level 3) and groups 2 and 3 were “woo” (level 2). From these results, we could see the group III (obese group) had a tendency of lower levels in all the variables related to body fitness They showed significantly lower endurance assessed with time for sit-ups and instant power by the standing high jumps. A Study on the Performance Enhancement of Radar Target Classification Using the Two-Level Feature Vector Fusion Method

  • In this paper, we proposed a two-level feature vector fusion technique to improve the performance of target classification. The proposed method combines feature vectors of the early-time region and late-time region in the first-level fusion. In the second-level fusion, we combine the monostatic and bistatic features obtained in the first level. The radar cross section (RCS) of the 3D full-scale model is obtained using the electromagnetic analysis tool FEKO, and then, the feature vector of the target is extracted from it. The feature vector based on the waveform structure is used as the feature vector of the early-time region, while the resonance frequency extracted using the evolutionary programming-based CLEAN algorithm is used as the feature vector of the late-time region. The study results show that the two-level fusion method is better than the one-level fusion method.

  • Two-level inverter has some disadvantages like high harmonics contained in the output current, efficiency limit and stress to switching device as IGBT and FET. Many researches have reported multi-level inverter to complement two-level inverter of problems. In this paper, we suggest MPPT algorithm of multi-string three-level solar inverter that considered nowadays. We added midpoint controller in order to implement the MPPT algorithm because the three-level inverter has to need midpoint controller and procured the stability of direct current link. We verify the superiority of multi-string T-Type inverter and the algorithm we suggested with solar irradiance variation experiment and MPPT efficiency measurement. The MPPT efficiency was confirmed with a high efficiency more than 99.97%.

  • The increasing computational capability of processors is driving the need for high bandwidth links to communicate and store the information that is processed. Such links are often an important part of multi processor interconnection, processor-to-memory interfaces and Serial-network interfaces. This paper describes a 0.11-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS 4 Gbp s/pin 3-Level transceiver using RSL/(Rambus Signaling Logic) for high bandwidth. This system which uses a high-gain windowed integrating receiver with wide common-mode range which was designed in order to improve SNR when operating with the smaller input overdrive of 3-Level. For multi-gigabit/second application, the data rate is limited by Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) caused by low pass effects of channel, process-limited on-chip clock frequency, and serial link distance. In order to detect the transmited 4Gbps/pin with 3-Level data sucessfully ,the receiver is designed using 3-stage sense amplifier. The proposed transceiver employes multi-level signaling (3-Level Pulse Amplitude Modulation) using clock multi phase, double data rate and Prbs patten generator. The transceiver shows data rate of 3.2 ~ 4.0 Gbps/pin with a 1GHz internal clock.

Constitutive Model of Tendon Responses to Multiple Cyclic Demands(I) -Experimental Analysis-

  • The work reported here is an extensive study of tendon response to multiple cyclic tests including 3% constant peak strain level test (A-type test), 3% constant peak strain level test with two rest periods (B-type test), and 3∼4% different peak strain level test (C-type test). A sufficient number of specimens were tested at each type of the test to statistically evaluate many changes in response during testing and differences in response between each type of the test. In cyclic tests, there were decreses (relaxations) in the peak stresses and hysteresis, increases in the slack strains, and during lower peak strain level (3%) cyclic block after higher peak strain level (4%) cyclic block in the C-type tests. Considering the results of this study and those of the other study of multiple cyclic tests with rest periods by Hubbard and Chun, 1985, recovery phenomena during the rest periods occurred predominantly at the beginning of the rest periods. Consistently in both studies, the effects of rest periods were small and transient compared to the effects of the cyclic extensions. The recovery with cycles at lower peak strain level (3%) after higher peak strain level (4%) in the C-type test has not been previously documented. This recovery seems to be a natural phenomena in tissue behavior so that collagenous structures recover during periods of decreased demand.
