금속고정용의 강도 평가 알고리즘 구현 (Implementation of Strength Estimation Algorithm on the Metallic Plate Fixation)

  • 본 논문은 신경외과 및 일반외과 영역에서 골 고정용 금속판으로 골 수술 및 치료를 하는 과정에서 골 고정요 금속판의 굴곡강도와 강성을 평가할 수 있는 강요평가 알고리즘을 구현하였다. 굴곡곡선의 최대 포인트 점은 0.2% 상쇄변위(offset displacement)에서 평형하게 접근 할 수 있는 포인트 P점을 최대 하중에 부여하는 굴곡 점으로 적용하였다. 실험에 사용한 플레이트(Plate)는 ${\Phi}13$${\Phi}18$이며, 강도평가의 알고리즘은 플레이트 ${\Phi}13$, ${\Phi}18$, ${\Phi}13-{\Phi}18$ 비교하였으며, 플레이트에 압박하는 힘의 알고리즘을 산출한 결과 굽힘강도의 최대값이 311N, 387N, 410N, 474N로 나타났고, 변위(Displacement)에 따라 하중에 견디는 시점인 인장강도가274(N), 324(N), 382(N), 394(N)로 나타났음으로 이 시점이 금속판의 굴곡운동 값으로 결정되었다. 본 연구의 결과로 한 개의 축을 기준으로 발생하는 골 고정용 금속판의 강도 조절 문제를 평가알고리즘으로 구성함으로 해결할 수 있었고, 형태 변화에 따른 조절기능을 검증할 수 있는 시스템이 새로운 알고리즘 형성으로 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

OSP와 ENIG 표면처리에 따른 BGA 패키지의 무연솔더 접합부 피로수명 (Solder Joints Fatigue Life of BGA Package with OSP and ENIG Surface Finish)

  • Many researches related to the reliability of Pb-free solder joints with PCB (printed circuit board) surface finish under thermal or vibration stresses are in progress, because the electronics is operating in hash environment. Therefore, it is necessary to assess Pb-free solder joints life with PCB surface finish under thermal and mechanical stresses. We have investigated 4-points bending fatigue lifetime of Pb-free solder joints with OSP (organic solderability preservative) and ENIG (electroless nickel and immersion gold) surface finish. To predict the bending fatigue life of Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu solder joints, we use the test coupons mounted 192 BGA (ball grid array) package to be added the thermal stress by conducting thermal shock test, 500, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 cycles, respectively. An 4-point bending test is performed in force controlling mode. It is considered that as a failure when the resistance of daisy-chain circuit of test coupons reaches more than $1,000{\Omega}$. Finally, we obtained the solder joints fatigue life with OSP and ENIG surface finish using by Weibull probability distribution.

CFRP 적층판의 동적 층간파괴인성의 평가법 (A Study on the Estimation of Dynamic Interlaminar Fracture Toughness on CFRP Laminates Plates)

  • In this paper, the estimation of dynamic interlaminar fracture toughness on fracture mode II in CFRP(carbon fiber reinforced plastics) laminates in made. Dynamic ENF(End Notched Flexure) apparatus used in this paper is manufactured by suing Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar. The static and impact load history in the CFRP specimen is measured by using manufactured dynamic ENF tester and 3-point bending test is carried out to find the load history. Also dynamic interlaminar fracture toughness can be found by using the J integral obrained from dynamic analysis in consideration of intertia-force effect.

트러스형 금속 샌드위치 판재에서 심재의 전단특성계수의 실험적 결정 (Experimental Investigation of Shear Modulus of a Core in a Metallic Sandwich Plate with a Truss Core)

  • A sandwich plate with a truss core is composed of two face sheets and a pyramidal truss core between face sheets. This paper shows how to estimate the shear modulus of a truss core, experimentally. To determine the shear modulus of truss cores, 3-point bending tests are performed. For tests, metallic sandwich beams with truss cores are fabricated. Two kinds of truss cores are tested to investigate the shear modulus. Each test is repeated under different widths in order to increase accuracy. As a result, the shear modulus of sandwich beam is properly calculated. The deflection of a sandwich beam with a truss core by shear deformation takes the major contribution of the total deflection and the shear modulus of sandwich beam should be considered whenever it is designed.

스프링백 관측기를 이용한 축교정기 개발 (Development of Shaft Straightening Machine with Springback Observer)

  • In order to compensate for out-of-straightness of shafts, an automatic straightening process composed of an automatic measuring module, an automatic control unit and operating softwares was developed with a hydraulic press. The out-of-sraightness of each shaft was measured automatically in the measuring stage. An optimal pressure point was determined to minimize TIR value of the shaft according to press count of 3-points bending process. In the geometric adaptive control procedure, punch stroke and springback of the shaft were predicted by an observer using on-line measured values of press force and deflection amount I each press count. An automatic straightening machine was realized with the measuring module, the GAC module, PLD, IBM-PC and the operating software on the hydraulic press. the validity of the proposed straightening process was confirmed through a series of experiments with cam shafts.

초경량 금속구조재의 제작을 위한 새로운 방안 (A New Way to Manufacture Ultra Light Metal Structures)

  • Recently, the ultra light metal structure with periodic and three dimensional truss elements takes attention because of its multi-functionality and substantial heat resistance. However, the complicated fabrication process leading to high cost has been a major obstacle to wide applications. In this paper, a new idea to construct an ultra light structure with periodic, three dimensional truss using metal wires is presented. To prove the practical validity, a Kagome-like structure was fabricated from stamped wires and punched face sheets. It was assembled by soldering. Through three-point bending and compression tests, the strength was evaluated and compared with the theory.

  • The mechanical behaviors of multi-layered foam core sandwich composite were investigated through a 3-point bending test. The sandwich specimens were obtained from sandwich panel consisting of aluminum faces and urethane foam core. Three types of sandwich specimens such as a single structure, a double structure and a triple structure were considered. The span of sandwich specimens were varied from 170mm to 350mm. According to the results, the flexural and shear properties of multi-layered sandwich composite were found to be higher than those of single-layered sandwich composite.

분말고속도공구강 JYPS-23에서 열처리조건에 따른 3점 굽힘피로특성 (Three Point Bending Fatigue Property with Heat Treatment Condition in a Powder Metallurgical High Speed Steel JYPS-23)

  • The effect of tempering temperature on the three point bending fatigue behavior of a P/M high speed steel JYPS-23 (1.28% C, 4.20% Cr, 6.40% W, 5.00% Mo, 3.10% V, bal. Fe) was investigated. The number of cycles to failure of the specimen austenitized at $1175^{\circ}C$ drastically increased with increasing tempering temperature. As tempering temperature increased from 500 to $620^{\circ}C$, the volume fraction and average size of carbides (MC or M6C) did not significantly changed, while hardness decreased drastically. The reduced hardness is due to the softening of matrix, which increased the resistance of the fatigue crack propagation. For a practical application, powder compacting test were also conducted with the P/M high speed steel punches tempered at 500, 580, and $620^{\circ}C$. The number of compacting cycles to failure of the punches also increased with increasing tempering temperature.

Interface characteristics of RC beams strengthened with FRP plate

  • A four-point bending RC beam strengthened with FRP plate is investigated based on the theory of elasticity. Taking the adhesive layer into account but ignoring some secondary parameters, the analytical solutions of the normal stress and shear stress on concrete-adhesive interface are obtained and discussed. Besides, the pure bending region of the beam is analyzed and the ultimate load of the beam is predicted. The results obtained in the present paper agree very well with both the results of FEM and the experimental findings.

알루미나 세라믹스의 동적피로거동 (Dynamic Fatigue Behavior of Alumina Ceramics)

  • The dynamic fatigue behavior of alumina ceramics was observed at room temperature using four point bending system. The dynamic fatigue fracture strength and the dynamic fatigue lifetime were observed as a function of crosshead speed and the notch length. The notched specimen showed the smaller deviation in dynamic fatigue fracture strength than the unnotched specimen. The crack growth exponent n and the material constant A of the notched specimen could be represented as functions of the notch length. Fracture strength of the specimen calculated from the notch length, when the notch length was regarded as the crack size, was in good agreement with the measured 4 point bending strength. Fracture surface of the specimen showed the different fracture modes according to the crosshead speed. The four point flexural strength, fracture toughness, Young's modulus and Weibull modulus of the alumina were measured as 360 MPa, 3.91 MPa.m1/2, 159GPa, 17.64, respectively.
