이중구조를 가진 비공기압바퀴의 구조해석에 관한 연구 (A study about structural analysis of double structured non-pneumatic wheel)

  • Non-pneumatic wheels have been widely used instead of general tube type wheels beause of many reasons, for example, wheel size, price restriction, heavy-duty problem and so on. Almost small size wheels or casters were non-pneumatic type but structural stability was not certified. This paper presents a double structured non-pneumatic wheel, called "smart caster", which consisted with inner and outer wheels connected by chips, and finite element analysis processes were conducted in order to determine important dwsign factors before actual design for mass production. For structural analysis ABAQUS was used under various boundary conditions with incrementally varied loads until 2,000N. Then structural staility was evaluated according to varied loads below ultimate stress. Generally stresses were concentrated at the lower parts of the wheel, and especially contact parts between wheel and ground. In addition, maximum stress appeared at contact parts between the wheel lower part and chips.

수치해석적 기법을 활용한 골재 도로의 콜루게이션 발생 및 진전 분석 (Numerical Analysis of the Initiation and Development of Corrugation on a Gravel Road)

  • PURPOSES : In this research, the initiation and development of corrugation on a gravel road with certain wheel and boundary conditions were evaluated using a coupled discrete-element method (DEM) with multibody dynamics (MBD). METHODS : In this study, 665,534 particles with a 4-mm diameter were generated and compacted to build a circular roadbed track, with a depth and width of 42 mm and 50 mm, respectively. A single wheel with a 100-mm diameter, 40-mm width, and 0.157-kg mass was considered for the track. The single wheel was set to run slowly on the track with a speed of 2.5 rad/s so that the corrugation was gradually initiated and developed without losing contact between the wheel and the roadbed. Then, the shape of the track surface was monitored, and the movement of the particles in the roadbed was tracked at certain wheel-pass numbers to evaluate the overall corrugation initiation and development mechanism. RESULTS : Two types of corrugation, long wave-length and short wave-length, were observed in the circular track. It seems that the long wave-length corrugation was developed by the longitudinal movement of surface particles in the entire track, while the short wave-length corrugation was developed by shear deformation in a local section. Properties such as particle coefficients, track bulk density, and wheel mass, have significant effects on the initiation and development of long-wave corrugation. CONCLUSIONS : It was concluded that the coupled numerical method applied in this research could be effectively used to simulate the corrugation of a gravel road and to understand the mechanism that initiates and develops corrugation. To derive a comprehensive conclusion for the corrugation development under various conditions, the driver's acceleration and deceleration with various particle gradations and wheel-configuration models should be considered in the simulation.

전동차 차륜답면 마모에 따른 차량 진동 특성 영향 분석 (An Analysis on the Influence of Wheel Flange Wear on the Vibration of EMU)

  • 전동차 차륜에 대한 마모 특성과 차륜의 마모가 차량 진동특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 도심 곡선구간에서 운용되는 전동차를 대상으로 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 차륜답면의 마모는 차륜 원형삭정 후 주행 초기(30,000km 이하)에 차륜 치수 및 등가답면구배 변화가 심한 직립마모 특성을 보이고 있다. 시험차의 누적주행거리가 증가함에 따라 차륜의 마모가 진전되고 그에 따른 차체의 진동 수준은 증가하는 경향을 보이고 있음을 확인하였다. 차체 진동 평균은 좌우, 상하방향 모두 "양호" 수준으로 평가되고 있으나 누적주행거리 증가에 따라 증가하여 "양호" 구간의 한계치에 이르고 있다. 특히, 차체 진동 최대 값은 더욱 뚜렷한 증가 특성을 보이고 있으며, 이는 불균일한 진동발생 가능성이 커진다고 예측할 수 있다.

  • 본 연구는 호빙 가공공정 없이 워엄 휠 기어 형상을 만들기 위한 워엄 휠의 개발을 위한 제품을 만드는 것이다. 호빙 가공 공정이 없기 때문에, 증가된 생산성과 등가의 품질을 가지는 플라스틱 워엄 휠이 결국 만들어지게 된다. 그 결과, 이 제품은 현대 모비스, 만도, TRW, KOYO/NSK/Showa(Japan), Delphai(Amercia)에 판매 될 것이다. 핵심 기술 및 전략은 다음과 같다. 워엄 휠의 성형을 위한 기술 보호는 최근 "헬리컬 기어(No. 10-2008-0105908) 성형"이 특허 공정으로 되어 있다. 나아가, "보스 삽입을 위한 위치 결정을 위한 성형 시스템"을 위한 특허 절차가 준비 중이다. 기어 기계가공 절차 없이 호빙 머신에 기어 성형 절차로서, 무엇보다 먼저, 기어를 만드는 코어 개발 기술이 주된 주제이다. 따라서, 코어 및 성형 기초가 초기 순서로 개발되지 않아서, 현재 개발되는 워엄 휠의 경우, 기어는 이차적으로 호빙 M/C로 기계가공 된다. 최종적으로는, 성형 기초 구조체를 위한 특허가 본 연구결과로 만들어질 예정이다.

가변 공기압력 초경면 연마기의 성능 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Characteristics of Super-mirror Face Grinding Machine Using Variable Air Pressure)

  • The comparisons of performance characteristics between the super-mirror face grinding machine using variable air pressure developed in this laboratory to grind precisely the sliding face of a surface hardened workpiece with thermal spray and the conventional one are investigated by measuring the surface roughness and hardness for a SCM440. To process variously workpiece according to shape, size and materials, the rotating and contacting forces of the developed grinding machine can be changed by air pressure. The surface roughness of processed workpiece can be also attained to state of mirror face by grinding precisely the sliding face with changing the rotating speed of diamond wheel. It is possible to be attached to the various machine tools because the super-mirror face grinding machine using variable air pressure is a small size. The grinding efficiency is elevated because it can be worked by two or more grinding machines attached to concurrently a machine tool for the large workpiece. In this study, results show that the cusp height of the super-mirror face grinding machine for the particle size of 100 and $1500No./mm^2$ is lower than that of the conventional one because the vibration is reduced by rotating very fast the diamond wheel with a pressed air and it can be processed by rotating the diamond wheel with a constantly varied air pressure perpendicular to workpiece surface, and that the workpiece in the super-mirror face grinding machine for the particle size of $3000No./mm^2$ can be processed to state of mirror face that is rarely seen by the cusp height. It is also found that the surface hardness of both the conventional and the super-mirror face grinding machines are increased as the particle size of diamond wheel is reduced, and the surface hardness of the super-mirror face grinding machine is HRC 1.1 ~ 1.8 higher than that of the conventional one.

3-Piezo 센서 기반 교통량 조사시스템의 차종분류방식에 대한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Vehicle Classification based on 3-Piezo Sensor AVC SYSTEM)

  • 국도 및 고속도로에 기 설치된 AVC System은 두 개의 Piezo Sensor를 평행 하게 설치하여 차량의 축수,축간거리, Front hang 등의 정보를 취득한다. 이러한 시스템은 두 개의 Piezo 신호만을 분석하여 사용하기 때문에 차량의 편향 주행등과 같은 주행패턴이나 센서 이상 등에 능동적으로 대처하기 힘들다. 차종의 분류성능 개선을 위해 제3의 센서인 사선 센서를 도입하여 3-sensor AVC 구동 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 본 알고리즘은 차량의 유거 및 윤폭정보를 기존의 정보 스키마에 추가함으로써 취득된 차종분류 정보 오분류를 획기적으로 줄일 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 이론적 알고리즘을 현장에 적용하여 실질적인 개선 효과가 있음을 증명할 수 있었다.

자동차 휠용 6061 Al합금의 단조 및 T6 열처리 전후의 미세조직과 기계적 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Mechanical Property and Microstructure of Forged and T6-treated 6061 Aluminum Alloy Wheel)

  • Effects of forging and mechanical properties of 6061 aluminum alloy wheel for automobiles were investigated in the present study. Microstructural and tensile characteristics of automobile wheel after hot forging process using dynamic screw press were analyzed to evaluate effect of metal flow on mechanical properties. The results showed advanced mechanical properties of 6061 alloy wheel because of $Mg_2Si$ precipitation by T6, elongated grain by forging, and work hardening by dense metal flow, etc. Hot compression tests were conducted in order to characterize high temperature compression deformation behaviors and microstructural variation in the range of $300{\sim}450^{\circ}C$, in the strain rate range of $10^{-3}{\sim}10^1\;sec^{-1}$. As strain rate increased, maximum compression stress increased but it was shown the reverse linear relation between temperature and maximum stress irrelevant to strain rate variation. On the other hand, temperature and yield stress didn't have any linear relation and its relation showed big deviation by a function of strain rate and test temperature.

인공위성 반작용휠의 미소진동 측정 및 분석

  • 본 논문에서는 인공위성 반작용휠의 미소진동 측정을 위한 테스트 장비와 이를 이용하여 실측한 반작용휠의 미소진동을 측정 및 분석 결과를 소개한다. 위성의 미소진동은 KISTLER dynamic platform 이라는 400Hz 이내의 3축의 힘과 3축의 토크를 동시에 측정할 수 있는 장비에 의해 측정되며 측정된 데이터는 회전 속도에 따라 3차원 주파수 분석, order tracking 등의 방법을 이용하여 분석된다. 반작용휠의 미소진동 분석 결과, 회전 속도와 비례하는 일차 성분 외에 고차 조화 성분, 구조 진동 성분, 회전 속도에 따라 고유진동수가 변하는 rocking 모드 성분 등을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 휠의 정적 및 동적 불균형은 각각 0.79gcm과 17.4gcm²으로 나타났다. 이러한 다양한 진동 성분들은 회전체의 특성, 구조물의 특성 및 베어링의 영향으로 기인한다.

선박용 과급기 타이타늄합금 압축기휠의 열간단조 공정설계 (Hot Forging Design of Titanium Compressor Wheel for a Marine Turbocharger)

  • Hot-forging process and die design were made for a large-scale compressor wheel of Ti-6Al-4V alloy by using the results of 2-D FEM simulation. The design integrated the geometry-controlled approach and the processing contour map based on the dynamic materials model and the flow stability criteria. In order to obtain the processing contour map of Ti-6Al-4V alloy, compression tests were carried out in the temperature range of $915^{\circ}C$ to $1015^{\circ}C$ and the strain rate range of $10^{-3}s^{-1}$ to $10s^{-1}$. In the die design of the compressor wheel using the rigid-plastic FEM simulation, forging dimensional accuracy, the capacity of the forging machine and defect-free forging were considered as main design factors. The microstructure of hot forged wheel using the designed die showed a typical alpha-beta structure without forging-defects.

차량 모델을 이용한 구동력 제어 시스템 (TCS)의 제어 방법 개발 (Development of a Control Method of Traction Control System Using Vehicle Model)

  • A traction control systems (TCSs) composed of either a wheel slip controller or a throttle valve controller or an integrated controller of both systems are proposed in this study. To validatethe dynamic characteristics of a vehicle and TCS, a full car model that can simulate the responses of both front wheel drive (2WD) and four wheel drive (4WD) vehicle is also developed. The wheel slip controller uses a sliding mode control scheme and the throttle valve is controlled by a PID controller. The results shows that tHe brake TCS and the engine TCS achieve rapid acceleration, and reduce slip angle on slippery road. When a vehicle is cornering and accelerating maneuver with the brake or engine TCS, understeer or oversteer occur, depending on the driving conditions. The integrated TCS prevents most of these problems and improves the stability and controllability of the vehicle.
