The advancement of information technology along with the proliferation of communication and multimedia has increased the demand of digital contents. Video data of digital contents such as VOD, NOD, Digital Library, IPTV, and UCC are getting more permeated in various application fields. Video data have sequential characteristic besides providing the spatial and temporal information in its 3D format, making searching or browsing ineffective due to long turnaround time. In this paper, we suggest ATVC(Authoring Tool for Video Contents) for solving this issue. ATVC is a video editing tool that detects key frames using visual rhythm and insert metadata such as keywords into key frames via XML tagging. Visual rhythm is applied to map 3D spatial and temporal information to 2D information. Its processing speed is fast because it can get pixel information without IDCT, and it can classify edit-effects such as cut, wipe, and dissolve. Since XML data save key frame information via XML tag and keyword information, it can furnish efficient browsing.

Three-dimensional geo-spatial information is important for the efficient use and management of the country and the three-dimensional expression and analysis of urban projects, such as urban plans devised by local governments and urban management. Thanks to the revitalization of the geo-spatial information service industry, it is now being variously used not only in public but also private areas. For the creation of high-guiltily three-dimensional geo-spatial information, emphasis should be placed on not only the quality of the source image and three-dimensional geo-spatial model but also the level of visualization, such as level of detail and texturing. However, in the case of existing three-dimensional geo-spatial information, its establishment process is complicated and its data are not updated frequently enough, as it uses ready-created digital maps. In addition, as it uses Ortho Images, the images exist Relief displacement. As a result, the visibility is low and the three-dimensional models of artificial features are simplified to reach LoD between 2 and 3, making the images look less realistic. Therefore, this paper, analyzed the quality of three-dimensional geo-spatial information created using the three-dimensional modeling technique were applied using Digital photogrammetry technique, using digital aerial photo images by an existing large-format digital camera and multi-looking camera. The analysis of the accuracy of visualization information of three-dimensional models showed that the source image alone, without other visualization information, secured the accuracy of 84% or more and that the establishment of three-dimensional spatial information carried out simultaneously with filming made it easier to gain the latest data. The analysis of the location accuracy of true Ortho images used in the work process showed that the location accuracy was better than the allowable horizontal position accuracy of 1:1,000 digital maps.
Since a display device such as TV or digital signage is getting larger, the types of media is getting changed into wider view one such as UHD, panoramic and jigsaw-like media. Especially, panoramic and jigsaw-like media is realized by stitching video clips, which are captured by different camera or devices. However, a stitching process takes long time, and has difficulties in applying for a real-time process. Thus, this paper suggests to find out 2D Adjacency Matrix, which tells spatial relationships among those video clips in order to decrease a stitching processing time. Using the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), we convert the each frame of video source from the spatial domain (2D) into frequency domain. Based on the aforementioned features, 2D Adjacency Matrix of images could be found that we can efficiently make the spatial map of the images by using DCT. This paper proposes a new method of generating 2D adjacency matrix by using DCT for producing a panoramic and jigsaw-like media through various individual video clips.
The vitual reality technology to assist fire activities has been developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). For this, the 3D-geographic information of Nagasaki city, Japan was constructed from tracing the aerial photograph and adding the height information of measured buildings including stairs. And also, with large multi-plane stereo presentation equipment called Immersible Projection Technology (IPT), and the 3D-digital map was presented in actual scale of town. As the result, the observer could obtain three-dimensional information in the various angles as if we can gain our experience at first hand, it will help to assist fire activities.
To investigate the observational environment, sky line and skyview factor (SVF) are calculated using a digital elevation model (DEM; 10 m spatial resolution) and 3 dimensional (3D) sky image at radiation site, Gangneung-Wonju National University (GWNU). Solar radiation is calculated using GWNU solar radiation model with and without the sky line and the SVF retrieved from the 3D sky image and DEM. When compared with the maximum sky line elevation from Skyview, the result from 3D camera is higher by $3^{\circ}$ and that from DEM is lower by $7^{\circ}$. The SVF calculated from 3D camera, DEM and Skyview is 0.991, 0.998, and 0.993, respectively. When the solar path is analyzed using astronomical solar map with time, the sky line by 3D camera shield the direct solar radiation up to $14^{\circ}$ with solar altitude at winter solstice. The solar radiation is calculated with minutely, and monthly and annual accumulated using the GWNU model. During the summer and winter solstice, the GWNU radiation site is shielded from direct solar radiation by the west mountain 40 and 60 minutes before sunset, respectively. The monthly difference between plane and real surface is up to $29.18M\;m^{-2}$ with 3D camera in November, while that with DEM is $4.87M\;m^{-2}$ in January. The difference in the annual accumulated solar radiation is $208.50M\;m^{-2}$ (2.65%) and $47.96M\;m^{-2}$ (0.63%) with direct solar radiation and $30.93M\;m^{-2}$ (0.58%) and $3.84M\;m^{-2}$ (0.07%) with global solar radiation, respectively.

A shoreline mapping is essential for describing coastal areas, estimating coastal erosions and managing coastal properties. This study has planned to map the 3D shorelines with the airborne LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging) data and the KOMPSAT-2 imagery, acquired in Uljin, Korea. Following to the study, the DSM(Digital Surface Model) is generated firstly with the given LiDAR data, while the NDWI(Normalized Difference Water Index) imagery is generated by the given KOMPSAT-2 imagery. The classification method is employed to generate water and land clusters from the NDWI imagery, as the 2D shorelines are selected from the boundaries between the two clusters. Lastly, the 3D shorelines are constructed by adding the elevation information obtained from the DSM into the generated 2D shorelines. As a result, the constructed 3D shorelines have had 0.90m horizontal accuracy and 0.10m vertical accuracy. This statistical results could be concluded in that the generated 3D shorelines shows the relatively high accuracy on classified water and land surfaces, but relatively low accuracies on unclassified water and land surfaces.
High dynamic range (HDR) images represent a far wider numerical range of exposures than common digital images. Thus it can accurately store intensity levels of light found in the specific scenes generated by light sources in the real world. Although a kind of professional HDR cameras which support fast accurate capturing has been developed, high costs prevent from employing those in general working environments. The common method to produce a HDR image with lower cost is to take a set of photos of the target scene with a range of exposures by general purpose cameras, and then to transform them into a HDR image by commercial softwares. However, the method needs complicate and accurate camera calibration processes. Furthermore, creating HDR environment maps which are used to produce high quality imaging contents includes delicate time-consuming manual processes. In this paper, we present an automatic HDR panorama environment map generating system which was constructed to make the complicated jobs of taking pictures easier. And we show that our system can be effectively applicable to photo-realistic compositing tasks which combine 3D graphic models with a 2D background scene using image-based lighting techniques.
This paper is related to color image segmentation and textile texture mapping for the 2D virtual wearing system. The proposed system is characterized as virtually wearing a new textile pattern selected by user to the clothing shape section, based on its intensity difference map, segmented from a 2D clothes model image using color image segmentation technique. Regardless of color or intensity of model clothes, the proposed system is possible to virtually change the textile pattern or color with holding the illumination and shading properties of the selected clothing shape section, and also to quickly and easily simulate, compare, and select multiple textile pattern combinations for individual styles or entire outfits. The proposed system can provide higher practicality and easy-to-use interface, as it makes real-time processing possible in various digital environment, and creates comparatively natural and realistic virtual wearing styles, and also makes semi-automatic processing possible to reduce the manual works to a minimum. According to the proposed system, it can motivate the creative activity of the designers with simulation results on the effect of textile pattern design on the appearance of clothes without manufacturing physical clothes and, as it can help the purchasers for decision-making with them, promote B2B or B2C e-commerce.

In current, as the release of national base map with an equivalent scale and accuracy for the whole territory areas in South Korea, rapid spatial information industry such as national land development, GIS, and car navigation are used in a variety of spatial information industry as decision making method, and a lot of research and policies are proposed for the wide expansion of spatial information industry. For this, as of 2013, it contributes to the latest trend of spatial information field in order to solve the problems for the latest trend of spatial information, replacing modification of base maps as dividing the whole territory to zone with policy transformation by ordinary modifications. Therefore, this paper evaluates the possibility of modification and renewal of national base maps(scale: 1:5,000) using drones which currently get the limelight from a variety of research fields and industries. In particular, as a result of overlapping orthophoto, 3D point clouds extracted from images acquired by low-cost drones, and digital maps which are applied for the tasks of modification and renewal, it presents 0.2m precision and 0.1m accuracy. This means that drone-based photorgammetry technique can be fully utilized in the tasks of digital map modification and renewal because it conforms the error range of work regulation in making the national base maps(scale 1: 5000).
