In this study, the improvement of the operation condition and the water quality in water treatment plant by operating information system(OIS) was evaluated for Ansan water treatment plant. The average flow rate of raw water in the year 2005(after constructing the OIS) appeared 15.6 % lower than that in the year 2004(before constructing the OIS). The mean value(12.37 NTU) of raw water turbidity in the year 2005 remained constant, or nearly so with that(12.06 NTU) in the year 2004. The average dosing rates of coagulant appeared 12.06 mg/L in the year 2005 which was higher than 10.31 mg/L in the year 2004. Furthermore, the average turbidity concentration of fresh water in the year 2005 appcared slightly better than that in the year 2004. From $COD_{Mn}$ and BOD concentration of raw water, the water quality in the year 2005 were better than those in the year 2004. The average concentration of $KMnO_4$ in the year 2004 and the year 2005 was 2.95 mg/L and 1.25 mg/L, respectively, and the average concentration of THMs in the year 2004 and the year 2005 appeared 0.038 mg/L and 0.025 mg/L, respectively. Therefore, the fresh water quality in the year 2005 was better than that in the year 2004. In this study, it is considered that the operation of Ansan water treatment plant may be optimized by OIS, and thus the OIS may be very useful method to improve the water quality.

The design standards, such as AISC-LRFD (2005) and KBC-2005, specify the maximum width-to-thickness ratio that can be used for computing the strength of the concrete-filled tube (CFT), and do not include any formula for computing the strength when the width-to-thickness ratio is over the limit. This paper proposes a strength equation for CFTs with a large width-to-thickness ratio by acknowledging the fact that the stiffened slender steel platehas substantial postbuckling strength, and that it therefore can be more economical to use it. The equation adopts the concept of effective width,which is very useful for plate analysis. By comparing the strengths of AISC2005, KBC2005, and the proposed method with the results of the experiment, where the width-to-thickness ratio was regarded as the main parameter, the applicability of the proposed method was verified.

건설업 등록기준과 관련하여 건설산업기본법시행령 개정(2005년 5월 7일, 공포) 및 동법시행령 제16조 제1항의 규정에 근거한 건설업 등록기준의 특례 개정 고시(2005년 6월 3일)가 지난 6월 8일부터 시행되고 있으며, 동법 시행령 부칙 제4항의 규정에 의거 개정 규정에 의한 건설업의 등록기준에 미달하는 종전의 건설업자인 경우 2005년 12월 7일까지 개정된 등록기준을 구비하도록 유예기간을 부여한 바 있다. 이에 따라 2005년 12월 7일까지 강화된 건설업 등록기준을 구비하지 못한 때에는 동법 제83조 제2호의 규정에 의건 영업정지 등의 처벌을 받을 수 있으며, <국가를 당사자로 하는 계약에 관한 법률시행령> 제12조 제1항 제2호의 규정에 의거 공공 공사의 입찰참가에 제한을 받을 수 있다. 따라서, 대한설비건설협회 회원사는 강화된 등록기준을 보완하지 못하여 영업정지 등 불이익을 받는 사례가 없도록 미연에 방지하여야 한다.

89년 첫 전시회 이후 해를 거듭할수록 사진인들의 물적, 인적교류의 장으로 거듭나고 있는‘2005 서울국제사진영상기자재전/ 디지털영상전’이 지난 5월 26일부터 29일까지 코엑스 태평양홀에서 성공적으로 휘날레를 장식했다. 미국‘PMA 2005’와 일본 동경에서 열린‘Photo Imageing Expo 2005’에서 선보인 최첨단사진영상기기들의 여세를 몰아 이번‘2005 서울국제사진영상기자재전/디지털영상전’에서는 18개국 200여 업체가 참가했으며 지난 전시회보다 한 층 더 보강된 신제품과 신기술로 5만명이 넘는 관람객의 발길을 사로잡았다. 이번 전시회에서 주목할 점은 디지털카메라의 보급으로 디지털사진 및 관련 업계에 대한 일반인의 관심이 집중되면서 일반 참관객들의 적극적인 전시회 참여가 돋보였다는 점이다. 또한 디지털포토 및 배경, 의상, 앨범, 액자, 스튜디오기자재, 조명기기, 기타 액세서리 등에서도 소비자들의 변화된 구매 욕구를 충족시켜줄 수 있는 각 종 아이템들이 선보여 국내외 바이어들과 전문가, 일반인들에게 사진시장의 확대와 가능성을 엿볼 수 있었던 전시회로 평가된다.
