ECCOMAS Thematic Conference Multibody 2003 was held at IST (Instituto Superior Technico), Lisbon, Portugal from July 1 to July 4. 2003. And MBDV(Multibody Dynamics and Vibration) in the 2003 ASME DETC was held at Chicago, U.S.A. from September 2 to September 6. In this paper, the presented papers in these conferences were reviewed and the trends in the multibody dynamics are summarized. The session titles in these conferences include Flexible Multibody Dynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, Contact, Biomechanics, Real-time Challenges, Spatial manipulator and Control, Multidisciplinary Applications, and Advanced Education. The poster session was also organized for more discussions in the Multibody2003 conference.

International Hull Clauses(IHC(2003)) which have replaced the old system, Institute Time Clauses, Hull(ITCH), used more than 100 years in the shipping industry that did not fit the reality of the market and customs was announced in 01/11/2003 and was intended to supplement the existing issues to reflect the terms that had been used. IHC(2003) was composed of systematical and logical phrases to minimize the conflict which happened between the insured and the insurer after the incident. But IHC(2003) is being ignored by both the insured and the insurer in the shipping industry due to the differences in both positions. In addition, the studies about IHC(2003) in local academics are very low and many companies in the shipping industry are using both systems, IHC(2003) and ITCH so the usage of IHC(2003) is not so activated. Thus, this study will examines the main features and the compositions of IHC(2003) and compare IHC(2003) with ITCH(1983) in some provisions in both systems and then derive some similarities from the both systems and finally would suggest the necessity and validity of active use of IHC(2003).

지난 10월 29일부터 10월 31일까지 동경 국제 포럼 전시장에서는‘동경 데이터베이스 2003(DATABASE 2003 Tokyo)’ 전시회가 개최됐다. 이와 함께 오사카에서는 10월 29일, 30일 양일간에 걸쳐 ‘인터미디어포럼 2003(INTERMEDIA FORUM 2003)’이 개최됐다. 최근 일본의 데이터베이스 및 GIS, 특허정보 등을 한 눈에 볼 수 있는 동경 데이터베이스 전시회와 인터넷&모바일 솔루션 기술력을 느낄 수 있었던 인터미디어포럼의 현장을 소개한다.

본 고에서는 국제전기통신연합 무선분과(ITU-R)의 주관 하에 2003년 6월 스위스 제네바에서 개최된 세계전파통신회의(WRC-2003)에서 다루어진 주요 의제에 대한 회의 경과 및 결과를 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 이를 통하여 향후 국내 무선 통신에 미치는 영향 및 이에 대한 대응방안을 제시하고자 한다.

본 고에서는 2003년 스위스 제네바에서 개최될 WRC 회의를 대비하여 아시아/태평양 지역의 상호 정보교환 및 WRC 회의에서의 지역적 입지 강화를 목적으로 APT 주관으로 지난 8월 26일부터 8월 31일까지 대한민국(부산)에서 개최된 APG2003-4차 회의의 주요 경과 및 결과를 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 이를 통하여 향후 국내에서 전개될 주요 의제별 표준화 활동에 대한 대응 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

이 글에서는 PISA 2003(Programme for International Student Assessment 2003)에서 우리나라 학생들이 낮은 정답률을 나타낸 문항을 집중적으로 분석하기로 한다. 우리나라 학생들의 국내 정답률이 국제 평균 정답률보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 낮은 문항들과 국내 정답률이 상대적으로 낮게 나타난 문항들을 상세하게 살펴보기로 한다. 이를 토대로 우리나라 수학교육의 개선 방향에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.

2001, 2003년의 7월부터 10월까지 대청호에 위치한 댐 지역에서 식물플랑크톤 군집, 환경요인 및 강우량을 조사하였다. 조사 기간동안의 월평균 강우량은 2001, 2003년 각각 91.3, 265.3mm로 조사되었다. 최대 Chl. a의 농도는 2001, 2003년 각각 45.4, 131.5 ㎍ L/sup -1/로 조사되었다. 남조류 세포수는 2003년 최대 49,000 cells mL/sup -1/로 조사되었고, 2001년은 최대 200,000 cells mL/sup -1/ 이상으로 조사되었다. 그리고 식물플랑크톤 군집에서 남조류의 상대 풍부도는 2001년 97%, 2003년 74%였다. 2001년은 Microcystis spp.가 조사기간동안 우점종으로 조사되었고, 2003년은 Oscillatoria spp., Phormidium spp. Chroococcus spp. 그리고 Microcystis spp. 순으로 우점종의 변화를 보여줬다. 결론적으로 강우량은 식물플랑크톤의 종 다양성 및 수화현상을 일으키는 남조류 세포 밀도에 영향을 주었다.
