파종성 폐결핵으로 오인된 갑상선 유두상암종의 폐전이 (Lung Metastasis of Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma which was Temporarily Treated for Milliary Tuberculosis)

  • The patient a 24-year-old male, was shown to have milliary shadows on chest radiographs from the age of 20. He was temporarily treated for pulmonary tuberculosis without success. He had left thyroid mass and lymph node metastases in neck CT scan which was taken after admission but fine needle aspiration result in scanty cellularity. He underwent total thyroidectomy with left modified radical neck dissection and right selective neck dissection under the impression of differentiated thyroid cancer with bilateral neck metastases. Then he underwent 131I ablation treatment and postoperative whole body 131I scintigraphy revealed diffuse intensive uptake in the bilateral lung fields, demonstrating that the pulmonary lesions were metastases of the thyroid cancer.

축전결합형 고주파 $BCl_3$/He 플라즈마를 이용한 GaAs와 AlGaAs의 건식식각

  • 본 실험에서는 축전결합형 고주파 플라즈마와 $BCl_3$와 He의 혼합가스를 이용하여 화합물 반도체인 GaAs와 AlGaAs의 건식식각에 대해 연구하였다. 공정변수로는 첫째, BCl3와 He의 혼합가스 비율을 0%에서 100%까지 변화시켰다. 둘째, 고주파 파워를 50 W에서 200W 까지 변화를 주었고, 셋째, 공정압력을 120 mTorr~300 mTorr 까지 변화시켰다. 식각 실험을 마친 시료는 표면 단차 측정기와, 주사전자현미경을 이용하여 식각률과 선택비, 표면거칠기, 표면형상에 대하여 분석을 진행하였다. 또한, 광학발광분석계 (OES)를 이용하여 건식식각 실험 중 혼합가스에 의해 발생하는 플라즈마의 발광특성에 대한 실시간 분석을 하였다. 결과에 따르면, 1) 혼합가스에서 He의 비율이 20%일 때 GaAs와 AlGaAs 시료의 식각율이 $0.7\;{\mu}m/min$$0.6\;{\mu}m/min$ 로 가장 높게 나타났다. 2) 감광제에 대한 시료의 선택비 또한 동일 조건에서 GaAs의 경우 1 : 12, AlGaAs의 경우 1:8로 가장 높게 나타났다. 3)고주파 파워의 변화에 따른 식각률의 경우 100 W에서 GaAs 의 경우 $0.6\;{\mu}m/min$, AlGaAs의 경우 $0.5\;{\mu}m/min$ 이었고, 고주파 파워가 증가할수록 식각률은 감소하였다. 4) 감광제에 대한 시료의 식각 선택비의 경우 50 W에서 GaAs 시료가 1:14, AlGaAs 시료가 1:10으로 가장 높은 선택비를 보였고 고주파 전원이 증가할수록 선형적으로 감소하였다. 5) 표면거칠기는 50~100 W 구간에서는 1.0~1.5 nm 으로 큰 증가폭이 없다가 150 W 이상에서는 3.0~5.0 nm 으로 증가하였다. 반응기의 압력이 120 mTorr에서 300 mTorr로 변화할 때 식각률과 선택비는 비교적 선형적으로 감소하였으며, 표면거칠기 또한 증가하였다. 결론적으로 $BCl_3/He$ 고주파 플라즈마에서 약 20%의 He을 포함하고 있을 때 가장 우수한 건식 식각 결과를 얻었다.

  • Remembering a meaning of fashion started in the early 20C, Paul Poiret is one of the most important designer. If so, what does his achievements and assessment his costume design have to be? That is the spirit of his design. Through the creation of the new style which is totally different from a period before, introduction of the vivid color, the new line and the enthusiasm of the fashion business, he showed the roll and the possibility of the modern designer. In Poiret's women's costume, harmonious beauty of women could be discovered in beautiful color which was not used in the 19th and elegance line. Furthermore, in the creation of the color and style, he got a strong influence by the art of early 20C's Europe. This was an opportunity that todays fashion has treated as a part of the or her art, and many modern designers are contacting with the art. The excellent ability in the fashion business has the composite as total fashion. Fashion business including perfumes, cosmetics furnitures, accessories is a model for most designers who follows him.

『청강의감』의 구성과 내용 (A Study on the Organization and Contents of "CheongKangEuiGam")

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the organization and contents of "CheongKangEuiGam" and raise interests in study on Oriental Medicine in the 20th century. Songjae, LeeJongHyeong was a disciple of Cheongkang and published this book in 1984 by organizing the medical theory of Cheongkang, KimYoungHoon who lived in the turbulent period from the late period of Joseon to a chaotic state of Korea after the independence of Korea. Even though it is relatively recently published, it is a very important clinical book as well as historical material to look at the aspects of Oriental Medicine in the 20th century. The book contains several notable medical thoughts. First, you can look at one perspective of the 20th century Oriental Western medical study which is initiated by the introduction of Western Medicine in classification schemes and description of disease symptoms. In addition, he uses medicinal herbs such as Cyperus rotundus L., Pinellia ternate(Thunb.) Breit., Poria cocos Wolf, Angelica gigas Nakai, Cnidium officinale, and Paeonia lactiflora Pall as important items, it is found that qi and blood depressed gallbladder is considered as the main pathology of the disease. In terms of names and meaning of prescriptions, he prefers to use mild medicinal herbs rather than intense medicinal herbs. It seems that he tries to help people's lives with cheap and effective medicinal herbs.

조선조 성리학자 윤지(尹指)의 "둔옹연소천지문답(鈍翁演小天地問答)"에 나타난 의학사상 연구 (Yun-Ji(尹指)'s Medical Thought in "Dunongyeonsocheonjimundap(鈍翁演小天地問答)")

  • Dunong(鈍翁), Yun-Ji had born by a concubine, and his dream didn't come true for the restraint of his social position, so he tried to train younger men. His writings still remain 4 volumes of "Dunongyeonsocheonjimundap" and "Dunongdongmongmundap(鈍翁童蒙問答)", which may be called its primer. "Dunongyeonsocheonjimundap" is written in question-and-answer form between Chal-Hye-Ja(察慧子) who has a meager knowledge and Sim-Gyeong-Ong(心耕翁) who search for the truth. It is progressed from the law of nature to human's cultivation of the mind so as to reconfirm the recognition of the unity between the heaven and human beings and lead the interpretation and practice of the metaphysical proposition. It is characterized by making use of metrical compositions to induce plain tone of argument. "Dunongdongmongmundap", whereas, uses archaic writings to describe natural science including astronomy to the beginners. Dunong's scholarship is characterized by these: He explained the metaphysical propositions by approaching usual things including oriental medicine practically; He comprised the Confucian concepts intensively to examine the Oriental studies closely; He groped for the outlooks on the world of taking serious view of human being or human body. And his medical thought is characterized by these: He attached importance to the theory of viscera and bowels based on yin-yang and five phase theory; He suggested the concrete yin-yang theory with a viewpoint of qi-blood theory; He considered the concept of 'six' only as mutual rooting of yin and yang and five visceras and six vowels, and denied the traditional six qi concepts; He explained the ghost theories of the metaphysics based on the yin-yang theory to analogize points of sameness between the oriental medicine and the metaphysics; He emphasized restore yang theory. Therefore, we can say that he regarded the human body as small heaven-earth and grafted the abstract propositions into the actuals so as to put the metaphysical propositions in practice.

HeLa cell에서 산약(山藥)의 항산화 작용을 통한 세포보호효과에 대한 연구 (The Cell Protective Effects of Dioscoreae Rhizoma by Antioxidant Activities on HeLa Cells)

  • Purpose: This study is to examine antioxidant activities of Dioscoreae Rhizoma on HeLa cell Methods: Aqueous extract was used to treat HeLa cell with different concentrations treated with water or MeOH extract of Dioscoreae batatas (0, x10, x20, x40, x80). The MTT reduction assay and flow cytometric analysis was employed to quantify the differences in cell activity and viability. Results: Co-treatment with $H_2O_2$ and Dioscoreae batatas extracts reduced apoptosis of HeLa cells by decreasing G2/M arrest. Dioscoreae batatas extracts increased the survival rate of cells treated with cisplatin and Scutellaria barbata. Conclusion: Our results suggest that Dioscoreae Rhizoma extracts induce cell protective effect by antioxidant activities.

Globotriaosylceramide (Gb3) content in HeLa cells is correlated to Shiga toxin-induced cytotoxicity and Gb3 synthase expression

  • Globotriaosylceramide (Gb3) and globotetraosylceramide (Gb4) are the proposed functional receptors for Shiga toxin (Stx). To elucidate the effect of Gb3 content on Stx-induced cytotoxicity in HeLa cells, we cloned HeLa cells and determined the correlation between glycolipids content and Stx-induced cytotoxicity. The 29 HeLa cell clone (HLCC) lines used showed a wide range of sensitivity to Stx, compared to Gb3-rich cells which were more sensitive, showing as little as 20% viability to 100 pg/ml Stx. In contrast, Gb3-deficient cells proved resistant as they were more than 80% viable to 100 ng/ml Stx. Gb3 content in the HLCC lines corresponded with Stxs-induced cytotoxicity as well as Gb3 synthase expression, but no correlation with Gb4 content was noted. These data show that Gb3 content, which is regulated by the expression of Gb3 synthase, determines the sensitivity of HeLa cells toward Stx.

운동강도의 차이가 60주령된 흰쥐의 Soleus와 EDL에서 Bcl-2, Bax, caspase-3와 DNA 절편화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Exercise Intensity on Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 Protein Level and DNA Fragmentation in Soleus and EDL Muscle on 60 wk SD Rats)

  • 본 연구에서 60 주령된 쥐를 대상으로 8 주간 트레드밀 운동강도와 근섬유 유형에 따른 apoptosis 관련 인자를 연구하였다. 결론적으로 노후된 쥐의 apoptosis 관련 인자는 운동강도와 근육유형에 따라 차이가 났다. EDL이 Soleus보다 apoptosis인자의 변화가 운동강도에 의해 더 민감하게 나타났다. 또한 casepase-3의 발현은 고강도 운동에서 나타났으나 DNA 절편화는 나타나지 않았기에 실질적인 apoptosis는 발생되지 않았다. 이는 노후된 개체의 운동 수행방법으로 고강도 운동은 적합하지 않으며, 고강도 운동상태를 지속할 경우 근섬유의 apoptosis를 유도할 가능성이 있다는 것을 시사한다. 그러므로 추후 실험에서는 운동시간과 빈도에 의한 apoptosis의 time-course impact 관찰과 외재적 경로(caspase independent apoptosis)에서의 apoptosis 관련 단백질 변화에 대한 연구를 통하여 노화에 의한 근손실의 원인 규명이 요구된다.

가정과교사의 임파워먼트 측정도구 개발 및 인식과 요구도 분석 (Development of Empowerment Scale Instrument and Needs Assessment of Home Economics Teachers' Empowerment)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 가정과교사의 임파워먼트를 측정할 수 있는 측정도구를 개발하고, 우리나라 가정과교사의 임파워먼트에 대한 인식과 요구도를 분석하는 것이다. 이에 '전문성'과 '교사 효능감'을 포함한 개념으로 가정과교사의 임파워먼트를 측정할 수 있는 구성요소 및 문항을 추출하고, 내용 타당도 검증과 문항이해정도에 대한 예비조사를 거쳐 임파워먼트 측정도구를 6점 리커트 척도로 20문항 개발하였다. 가정과교사 234명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 하였으며 SPSS/Win 10.0과 AMOS 6.0을 이용하여 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 요구도 분석 등을 하였다. 연구 결과, 가정과교사의 임파워먼트 측정도구는 19문항 6요인으로 개발되었다. 수업운영능력, 영향력, 자율성, 신념, 전문성, 윤리성의 6개 요인이 전체 변량의 72.18%를 설명하였고, Cronbach's $\alpha$ 값이 0.94로 내적 일치도가 매우 우수하게 나타났다. 가정과교사의 임파워먼트에 대한 인식과 요구를 살펴본 결과, 가정과교사는 현재 '윤리성'과 '자율성'을 높게, '영향력'을 가장 낮게 인식하고 있었다. 한편 미래 가정과교사가 지녀야 할 임파워먼트에 대해서는 '수업운영능력을 가장 중요하게 인식하고 있었다. 그러나 가정과교사의 임파워먼트에 대한 요구도는 '영향력'이 가장 높았고, '수업운영능력'이 그 다음으로 나타났다.
