1.25Cr-0.5Mo강을 이용한 합성가스 조성 변화에 따른 SNG 1차반응기의 부식특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Corrosion Characteristics of 1.25Cr-0.5Mo in the 1st-mathanator reactor for Synthetic Natural Gas according to Gas Compositions)

  • 최근 급속한 플랜트 설비의 발전과 더불어 각종 기계 구조물들의 운전조건이 가혹해지고 사용시간이 길어짐에 따라 신뢰성에 대한 문제가 제기되고 있다. 특히, SNG 설비에 사용되는 재료는 설계조건에 따라 1.25Cr-0.5Mo 또는 2.25Cr-1Mo강과 같은 내열강들이 주로 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 Lab-scale용 합성천연가스 반응기를 제작하여 생산공정 반응기 재질인 1.25Cr-0.5Mo강을 이용하여 실제 SNG 공정중 1차반응기와 동일한 운전 조건에서 부식 특성에 대하여 실험적 연구를 진행하였다. 1.25Cr-0.5Mo강을 운전 시간에 따라 각각 배출조성 조건과 주입조성 조건에 노출시켜 부식에 대한 실험을 수행하였으며 실험 결과 내구성에 가장 영향을 미치는 요소는 수소로 인한 수소취성과 산화 부식임을 알 수 있었으며, 배출조성보다 주입조성에서 더 빠른 부식이 발생함을 확인하였다. 그러나 배출조성 조건에서는 산화부식과 더불어 수소취성에 의한 부식이 동시에 발생하여 장시간 운전 후 부식정도가 갑자기 증가하고 부식강도가 급격히 강해지는 것을 나타났다. 또한 주입조성에서는 산화물들이 시편에 흡착되어 두꺼운 산화층을 형성시켰으며 이로 인하여 재료의 내산화성이 크게 저하되는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • The thermomechanical control process(in hot rolling strip mill) was employed to produce 2.25Cr-1Mo steel, which is to be construction material for the steam generator for power plant. Although the Conventional processes has been the primary means of producing the 2.25Cr-1Mo steel, an alternative method was used to meet the specification of ASTM heat treatment for A387-22-Classl using autotempering after coiling in hot rolling strip mill. The microstructures, tensile properties at various temperatures, and creep-rupture properties have been investigated to compare the properties with those of materials produced by the conventional process and to certify the application of the thermomechanical control process to an actual process of manufacturing 2.25-Cr-1Mo steel, this in turn, will reduce the cost of the process. About 14 to 34% glanular bainite (remainder proetectoid ferrite) formed in a coil, and this variety of volume fraction stems from the different cooling rates, which varies with position of the coil after coiling. Tensile testing from room temperature to 700$^{\circ}C$ indicated that strength increases with test temperature showing peaks at around 600$^{\circ}C$. Creep-rupture properties have been being investigated at the temperature of 500$^{\circ}C$ with 27.5, 32kg/$\textrm{mm}^2$ loads and have showed no rupture for over 1000 hours.

전기비저항을 이용한 2.25Cr-1Mo 강 열화재의 미세조직 및 연성-취성천이온도 평가 (Evaluation of Microstructure and Ductile-Brittle Transition Temperature in Thermally aged 2.25Cr-1Mo Steel by Electrical Resistivity Measurement)

  • 전기비저항법을 이용하여 2.25Cr-1Mo 강의 경년열화도를 평가하고자 하였다. 2.25Cr-1Mo 강이 $540^{\circ}C$에서 장시간 노출되었을 때 일어나는 미세조직 변화를 모사하기 위해 인공 열화를 실시하였으며 열화에 따른 미세조직 인자 (고용원소의 함량), 기계적 성질 (연성-취성 천이온도 ), 전기비저항을 측정하여 이들간의 상호관계를 구하고자 하였다. 열화재에서는 기지내의 고용 원소 (Mo 와 Cr)의 고갈이 나타났다. 연성-취성 천이온도는 열화 초반부에 급격히 증가 후 포화되는 경향을 보인 반면 전기비저항은 열화 초반부에 급격히 감소 후 포화되는 경향을 보였다. 즉, 열화 시간에 따른 연성-취성 천이온도의 변화 경향과 전기비저항의 변화는 서로 반대적으로 변화하는 관계를 나타내었다.

  • It was attempted to evaluate the degree of degradation of thermally aged 2.25-1Mo steek by ultrasonic monlinear parameter(UNP) measurement and X-ray diffraction analysis of extracted carbide. Artificial aging was performed to simulate the microstructural degradation in 2.25Cr-1Mo steel arising from long time exposure at $540{\circ}C$. Microstructural analysis (number of carbides per unit area) and measurements of mechanical properties(Vickers hardness, DBTT) and degradation evaluation parameters(UNP and intensity ration of X-ray diffraction peak of electrolytically extracted carbide) were performed. Both of UNP and intensity ratio of X-ray diffraction peak for M6C carbide to that of M23C6 carbide(IR) increased abruptly in the initial 1000 hour of aging and then changed little. UNP and IR were proposed as potential parameters to evaluate the degree of aging degradation of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel.

  • This paper describes the high temperature creep characteristics for virgin material of 9Cr1MoVNb steel using small punch creep(SP-Creep) test technique which is developing recently. In addition, the several results of SP-Creep test are compared with that of 2.25Cr- 1Mo steel which is widely used as boiler materials and that of conventional uniaxial creep test. The obtained SP-Creep curves show the creep behaviors of three regimes like that obtained from conventional uniaxial creep test, and SP-Creep properties are definitely depended on applied load and test temperature. The correlation of SP-Creep rate and creep rupture life with applied load has been determined like the correlation between creep rate/rupture life and stress in uniaxial creep test, and also is satisfied with Power law. The creep rupture times of newly 9Cr1MoVNb steel are higher than those of 2.25Cr1Mo steel at the same creep temperature and applied loading condition, and the decrease extent of creep rupture life with loads is very lower compared with 2.25Cr1Mo steel.

650 ℃의 10%O2+10%CO2 가스 환경에서 2.25Cr-1Mo강의 산화특성에 미치는 KCl(s)과 K2SO4(s)의 영향 (Effect of KCl(s) and K2SO4(s) on Oxidation Characteristics of the 2.25Cr-1Mo Steel in 10%O2+10%CO2 Gas Environment at 650 ℃)

  • In this study, the effects of KCl(s) and K2SO4(s) on the oxidation characteristics of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel were investigated for 500 h in 10O2 + 10CO2 (vol%) gas environmen at 650 ℃. Oxidation kinetics were characterized by weight gain, oxide layer thickness, and fitted models for the experiment data were proposed. The fitted models presented considerable agreement with the experimental data. The oxide layer was analyzed using the scanning electron microscope, optical microscope, and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The oxidation kinetics of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel with KCl and K2SO4 coatings showed significantly different oxidation kinetics. KCl accelerated the oxidation rate very much and had linear oxidation behavior. In contrast, K2SO4 had no significant effect, which had parabolic kinetics. The oxide layer was commonly composed of Fe2O3, Fe3O4, and FeCr2O4 spinel. KCl strongly accelerated the oxidation rates of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel in the high-temperature oxidation environment. Conversely, K2SO4 had little effect on the oxidation rates.

  • The effects of post weld heat treatment(PWHT) on the mechanical properties of 2.25Cr-1Mo steels were investigated. As the PWHT temperature or holding time increased, the strength of low alloy steels progressively decreased due to softening process. After the conventional PWHT, the strength was larger than the minimum value of materials specification. The Charpy impact energy was hardly affected by the conventional PWHT. The trend of mechanical properties was analyzed in terms of tempering parameter. Most materials replaced from a power plant met the requirements of materials specification except for one heat. Same heat of materials with low impact energy were attributed to the voids formed during casting process.

  • This study presents the hydrogen emblittlement in the metal, which decreases the ductility and then induces the brittle fracture. The contribution deals with the effect of strain rate and notch geometry on hydrogen emblittlement of 1.25Cr-0.5Mo and 2.25Cr-1Mo steels, which are in use at high pressure vessel. Smooth and notched specimens were examined to obtain the elongation and tensile strength. For charging the hydrogen in the metal, the cathodic electrolytic method was used. In this process, current density is maintained constant. The amount of hydrogen penetrated in the specimen was detected by the hydrogen determenator(LECO RH404) with the various charging time. The distribution of hydrogen concentration penetrated in the specimen was obtained by finite element analysis. The amount of hydrogen is high in smooth specimen and tends to concentrate in the vicinity of surface. The elongation and tensile strength decreased with the passage of charging time in 1.25Cr-0.5Mo and 2.25Cr-1Mo steels. The elongation increased and tensile strength decreased as strain rate increased. As a result of this study, it is supposed that 1.25Cr-0.5Mo steel is more sensitive than 2.25Cr-lMo steel in hydrogen embrittlement. Hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility of notched specimen after hydrogen charging is more remarkable than that of smooth specimen.

X20CrMoV121강과 2.25Cr1Mo강 용접부의 ASP 시험과 CVN 충격 시험의 상관관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Correlation between Advanced Small Punch Test and Charpy V-notch Test on X20CrMoV121 and 2.25Cr1Mo steels Weldment)

  • Charpy V-Notch test is commonly used to evaluate fracture toughness. However, since the region to be evaluated is limited to bulk material due to the specimen size required, individual evaluation of micro-structures on weldment is very difficult. In this study, ASP(Advanced Small Punch) test was carried out to evaluate material degradation and fracture toughness on the B.M, W.M and each micro-structures of HAZ for X20CrMoV121 and 2.25Cr1Mo steels with artificial aging time. In addition, to evaluate fracture toughness and material degradation of B.M and W.M of X20CrMoV121 steels with aging times, CVN (Charpy V-notch) test was performed. And then the correlation between ASP and CVN test on X20CrMoV121 steels was obtained. Furthermore, through this correlation, material degradation property of each micro-region of the HAZ in weldment, which was impossible to be evaluated by the CVN test, can be estimated and determined.
