  • 미국 MIT의 기술혁신 잡지인 테크놀로지 리뷰(Technology Review)는 2004년 2월호에서 미래를 변화시킬 10대 기술(10 emerging technologies that will change your world) 중 그 첫 번째로 만국어 번역 (Universal Translation)을 선정하였다. 만국어 번역은 통역자가 중간에서 어떤 음성언어를 상대방 언어로 즉시 통역해 주는 일을 컴퓨터가 자동으로 처리해 주는 것이다. 이 기술이 상용화되면 그 사회적 파급효과가 실로 지대한 꿈같은 기술로서이 기술의 핵심에는 음성정보처리 기술 및 언어정보처리 기술이 자리 잡고 있다.(중략)

  • This study is performed to analyze the turbulence distribution of Fev. & Mar. in 2000 by the analysis of the parameters related with flight data of FDR(Flight Data Recorder). In the analysis, we selected the Solid State Flight Data Recorder(SSFDR) & Universal Flight Data Recorder(UFDR) flight data of the exact same aircraft(capacity 120 persons). Through this study, we verified that turbulence is concerned with configuration of the ground and flight situation of aircraft.

  • Given a Unimodular polynomial P of degree N$\geq$1, the exteremal problem for ${\gamma}$ =max{|P(eit)|:0 $\leq$t$\leq$2$\pi$} satisfies ${\gamma}$$\leq$C{{{{ SQRT { N+1} where C is a universal constant. Here we show that C < 2+{{{{ whenever N is fixed and P has the coefficients of a Rudin-Shapiro polynomial.

  • Monolayer $MoS_2$의 metastable phase인 T' phase가 stable한 H phase보다 안정해지는 조건을 모색하기 위해 substitutional doping을 했을 때와 strain을 걸어주었을 때의 에너지 차이를 DFT 방법으로 계산하였다. Doping을 했을 때와 strain이 있을 때 T' phase와 H phase의 에너지 차이가 감소함을 확인하였으나 H phase보다 T' phase가 안정해지는 조건을 찾지는 못하였다. 하지만 이 방법을 기존의 alkali adsorption 방법과 병행하여 기존 방법의 단점을 보완할 수 있을 것을 기대해 볼 수 있다. 또한 전자구조 분석 중 얻은 dopant의 주기와 족에 따른 경향성은 다른 TMD 물질의 phase engineering을 design할 때 universal한 design rule로서 응용할 수 있음을 기대해 볼 수 있다.

  • This paper reviews current developments in UG-related SLA·FLL research. It discusses the findings of Hahn (2000), Shin (2000) and Yang (2001) with respect to the following issues: the role of UG parameters in SLA·FLL and the developmental aspects of inflectional categories in Korean EFL learners' interlanguage. It contends that Korean EFL learners' inflectional grammars are constrained by L1 as well as by Universal Grammar.

  • Different units of metrology were used in the Joseon Dynasty, such as Yeongjocheok, Pobaekcheok, Jolegicheok, and Jucheok. In many cases, Yeongjocheok and Pobaekcheok were of different dimensions depending on the region. Therefore, this study analyzed Jaseungcha Dohae of Ha BaeckWon to restore the scale of Hwasun Dongbok area in which Seokdang Na GyeongJeokyung and Gyunam Ha BaeckWon lived and made practical devices. The results of the analysis show that a universal Yeongjocheok of 30.6 cm was used.

Design of an Image Processor for UXGA Class LCD

  • We propose a universal image processor for a-Si TFT LCD of UXGA class that can display the full screen on the LCD panel with low resolution of video sources such as NTSC, VGA, SVGA, XGA, and SXGA by using the proposed interpolation filter. In addition, we propose a real-time contrast controller for image improvement of multi-gray scale image. The operation of the proposed methods has been verified using Synopsys VHDL and computer simulation. Results show that the proposed methods might be suitable for a UXGA LCD controller for real-time image improvement.
