In this study, sewage were treated with operating Two-step Aeration System and conventional activated sludge process together in a condition. At the same HRT 8hr of Two-step Aeration System and Activated Sludge Process, BOD treatment efficiency of 1st sedimentation basin effluent 36.9% by Two-step Aeration system was 12.3% higher than 24.65 by Activated Sludge Process and the COD treatment efficiency 39.8% by two-step Aeration System was 11.6.3% higher than 28.2% by Activated Sludge Process. BOD and COD treatment efficiencies of 2nd sedimentation basin effluent were 88.1% and 85.6% Two-step Aeration System and were 83.8% and 82.3% Activated Sludge Process. In the first treatment, as BOD was relatively removed a lot, F/M ratio 0.17, $0.21{\cdot}BOD/kg{\cdot}MLSS.d$ was maintained by Activated Sludge Process. Therefore it was proved that organic matter treatment efficiency by Two-step Aeration System os Higher than by Activated Sludge Process in a aeration time 8hr. $NH_4^{+}-N$ treatment efficiencies were 55.5% by Two-step Aeration System and 39.75 by Activated sludge Process. $NO_3^{-}-N$ concentration in 2nd. sedimentation basin effluent were 3.33% by Two-step Aeration System and 2.36% by Activated Sludge Process. From this result, Two-step Aeration System was proved more advantageous treatment process for nitrification than Activated Sludge Process. The fluctuation range of BOD, COD and SS concentration in 2nd sedimentation basin effluent $16~33mg/{\ell}$, $15~23mg/{\ell}$ and $14~22mg/{\ell}$ by Two-step Aeration System was smaller than $16~57mg/{\ell}$, $15~25mg/{\ell}$ by Activated sludge Process. Overall the fluctuation range in 2nd sediment basin effluent by was smaller than by Activated Sludge Process. As a result, it is possible for this Two-step Aeration with no facility investment and a little of operation condition change in a conventional sewage treatment plant to get stability and nitrification of treatment water quality.
This paper investigates the change of mechanical properties and thermal shrinkage in commercial multi-filament PET(polyethylene terephthalate) , namely, regular yarn, POY, DTY and composite yarn. To determine changing the effects of processing steps, these were examined at three steps process simulation conditions. The first step is sizing simulation$(S-1\;step\;:\;130^\circ{C}\times2\;min$., hot air treatment under 0.1 gf/d load), the second step is scouring simulation$(S-2\;step\;:\;100^\circ{C}\times20\;min$., boiling water treatment under free tension)and final step is setting simulation$(S-3\;step\;:\;180^\circ{C}\times2\;min$., hot air treatment under free tension). Regular yarn in multi-step treatment showed higher shrinkage at S-3 step and DTY showed higher in at S-1 step. While POY was relaxed at S-1 step, composite yarn showed different shrinkage properties depending on composite yarn type. Mechanical properties showed good relationship with shrinkage : high shrinkage makes initial modulus decrease and bleating strain increase. It also makes decreasing yield strain and yield stress decrease.
The impact of two-step treatment on the mechanical properties of the 6061 Al alloy was investigated by testing the hardness and electrical conductance values. After two-step aging treatment, the hardness and electrical conductivity of the alloy was increased, and if the first aging treatment temperature was lower than the secondary aging treatment temperature, both the hardness and the electrical conductivity were not increased. The higher the temperature of the first aging treatment, the higher the hardness. The temperature of the first aging treatment is $175^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, $120^{\circ}C$, and the second is $175^{\circ}C$ and $120^{\circ}C$.

A two-step process was investigated for pretreatment and fractionation of rice straw. The two-step fractionation process involves first, soaking rice straw in aqueous ammonia (SAA) in a batch reactor to recover lignin-rich hydrolysate. This is followed by a second-step treatment in a fixed-bed flow-through column reactor to recover xylo-oligomer-rich hydrolysate. The remaining glucan-rich solid cake is then subjected to an enzymatic process. In the first variant, SAA treatment in the first step dissolves lignin at moderate temperature (60 and $80^{\circ}C$), while in the second step, hot-water treatment is used for xylan removal at higher temperatures ($150{\sim}210^{\circ}C$). Under optimal conditions ($190^{\circ}C$ reaction temperature, 30 min reaction time, 5.0 ml/min flow rate, and 2.3 MPa reaction pressure), the SAA-hot-water fractionation removed 79.2% of the lignin and 63.4% of the xylan. In the second variant, SAA was followed by treatment with dilute sulfuric acid. With this process, optimal treatment conditions for effective fractionation of xylo-oligomer were found to be $80^{\circ}C$, 12 h reaction time, solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:12 in the first step; and 5.0 ml $H_2SO_4/min$, $170^{\circ}C$, and 2.3 MPa in the second step. After this two-step fractionation process, 85.4% lignin removal and 78.9% xylan removal (26.8% xylan recovery) were achieved. Use of the optimized second variant of the two-step fractionation process (SAA and $H_2SO_4$) resulted in enhanced enzymatic digestibility of the treated solid (99% glucan digestibility) with 15 FPU (filter paper unit) of CTec2 (cellulase)/g-glucan of enzyme loading, which was higher than 92% in the two-step fractionation process (SAA and hot-water).

This study aims to analyze dose distribution and treatment time of endobronchial brachytherapy (EBBT) by changing the position step size of the dwell position. A solid water phantom and an intraluminal catheter were used in the treatment plan. The treatment plans were generated for 3, 5, 7, and 10 cm treatment lengths, respectively. For each treatment length, the source position step sizes were set as 2.5, 5, and 10 mm. Three reference points were set 1 cm away from the central axis of the catheter, along the axis, for uniform dose distribution. Volumetric dose distribution was calculated to evaluate the dosimetric effect. The total radiation delivery time and total dwell time were estimated for treatment efficiency, which were increased with position step sizes. At half-life time, the differences between the position step sizes in the total radiation delivery time were 18.1, 15.4, 18.0, and 24.0 s for 3, 5, 7, and 10 cm treatment lengths, respectively. The dose distributions were more homogenous by increasing the position step sizes. The dose difference of the reference point was less than 10%. In brachytherapy, this difference can be negligible. For EBBT, the treatment time is the key factor while considering the patient status. To reduce the total treatment time, EBBT can be performed with 2.5 mm position step size.
Clinical studies were performed on 119 cases who had HIVD and chronic back pain cured by chuna treatment from August 1984 to June 1997. The results were as follows 1. In 119 cases of HIVD and chronic back pain, 39 cases(32.8%) were male and 80 cases (67.2%) were female. 2. In 119 cases of HIVD and chronic back pain, 19 cases were under the age of 30 and 30 cases were under the age of 40 and 42 cases were under the age of 50 and 28 cases were older than 60 years old. 3. On Duration of Treatment in a Step, 29 cases were taken I -step treatment and 53 cases were taken II -step treatment and 31 cases were taken III -step treatment. 4. In 119 cases of HIVD and chronic back pain, recurrent rate was 12.6%.
This study intends to examine the influence of foliage treatment and seed treatment on the suppression of the succulent growth of tomato seedlings, and further, to clarify the proper way of suppressing the succulent growth of tomatoes. For the foliage treatment, the time and the concentration of diniconazol treatment were considered, and for the seed treatment, the soaking time was considered. As a result of examining the stem elongation of tomatoes based on the time and the concentration of diniconazol treatment, suppression of stem elongation and internodal length was found in step 1, 2, and 3. Plants absorb more quantity of a chemical when they are young, so a good chemical effect was found. In step 1, the number of suppressed nodes was 4, which was decreased to 3 in step 2 and to 2 in step 3. As a result of examining the influence of chemical tenacity on stem elongation, $5\;mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ in step 1 and 2 showed the suppression of stem elongation after chemical treatment, but it became recovered fast after a particular time, compared with others. In step 3, the period of stem elongation suppression was short and they were recovered fast. In step 1, the effect of chemical tenacity was found for 5 weeks, but in step 2 and 3, it lasted for 4 weeks respectively. After raising seedlings was finished, they got planted and the quantity of living bodies increased fast so there was no significant difference in breeding from non-treatment.

Low temperature plasma treatment with different gases and rf powers were performed to improve the adhesion strength between polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) and electroless deposited copper. According to the research, $H_2$ plasma having hydrogen radical was more effective in surface polarity modification than $O_2$ plasma due to the defluorination reaction. However, surface roughness of PTFE was more increased with $O_2$ than $H_2$ plasma. PTFE treated with $120W-O_2$ plasma and $250w-H_2$ plasma, consecutively showed rougher surface than single step $250w-H_2$ plasma treated one and more hydrophilic than single step $120W-O_2$ plasma treated one. And it showed 5B tape test grade, which is better adhesion property than 1B or 3B obtained by single step plasma treatment. In addition, adhesion strength between PTFE and Cu deposit is also deeply affected by residual water on its interface.

CIGS (Cu-In-Ga-Se) films were deposited on the Mo coated soda lime glass (Mo/SLG) by RF magnetron sputtering using a single sintered target with different chemical compositions. Heat treatment of the CIGS films were carried out under three different conditions, 1step ($350^{\circ}C$ for 2 hour and $550^{\circ}C$ for 2 hour) and 2step ($350^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour and $550^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour). In the case of CIGS films post-annealed on 2step method, grain size remarkably increased compared to other methods, indicating that chemical composition [Cu/(Ga+In) = 1] of CIGS films was same as CIGS target. After heat treatment by 2step method, band gap energy of the CIGS film deposited at RF 80 W showed 1.4 eV which is broadly similar to identical band gap energy (1.2 eV) of CIGS film prepared by evaporation method. Therefore, 2step heat treatment method could be expected to low temperature process.
The sintering process of BSCCO 2223 tapes is a complex process that is very sensitive to parameters, such as temperature, oxygen partial pressure, heating and cooling rate and holding time. During the first heat treatment, 2212 phase of precursor powder is partially transformed into 2223 phase and some residual secondary phases, such as $(Bi,Pb)_2$$Sr_2$CuO/sub y/(2201), $(Ca,Sr)_2$CuO/sub y/(2/1AEC), (Ca,Sr)/sub 14/Cu/sub 24/O/sub 41/(14/24 AEC) etc. The secondary phases are difficult to be removed from the BSCCO 2223 matrix on the heat treatment. These secondary phases degrade the critical current density. In order to minimize the amount and size of alkaline earth cuprate(AEC) particles step heat treatment is applied during the first heat treatment under the varying atmosphere. Experimental results showed that by adapting the step heat treatment process, the amount and particle size of the secondary phases in the final tapes are decreased. Consequently, the BSCCO 2223grain texture and Jc properties are improved.
