박리형 폴리이미드 나노복합재료 제조와 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preparation of the Exfoliated Polyimide Nanocomposite and Its Characterization)

  • 합성한 polyamic acid의 말단기인 anhydride기와 반응시키기 위하여 나트륨 몬모릴로나이트에 diamine (p-phenylenediamine, m-phenylenediamine, and n-hexamethylenediamine)을 삽입시켰다. 그리고 4,4'-oxydianilline : 1,2,4,5-benzene tetracarboxylic dianhydride의 몰비를 1.50 : 1.53으로 하여 말단기가 anhydride된 polyamic acid를 합성하였다. 이렇게 치환된 몬모릴로나이트를 말단기가 anhydride된 polyamic acid와 N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone용액에서 반응시켰다 (polyamic acid/clay nanocomposite) 이것을 열이미드화하여 polyimide/clay 나노복합재료를 제조하였다. XRD와 TEM으로 관찰한 결과 실리케이트 층이 단일층으로 폴리이미드 매트릭스에 잘 분산되어 있는 박리형 폴리이미드 나노복합재료가 제조되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이들의 기계적 특성을 관찰한 결과 박리형 폴리이미드 나노복합재료의 경우가 순수한 폴리이미드와 삽입형 폴리이미드 나노복합재료의 경우보다 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

Copolymerization of N-Vinyl Pyrrolidone with Functionalized Vinyl Monomers: Synthesis, Characterization and Reactivity Relationships

  • Copolymers of N-vinylpyrrolidone (NVP) comonomer with styrene (St), hydroxypropyl methacrylate (HPMA) and carboxyphenyl maleimide (CPMI) were synthesized by free radical polymerization using 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) initiator in 1,4-dioxane solvent. The copolymers formed were characterized by FTIR, $^1H$ NMR and $^{13}C$ NMR techniques and their thermal properties were studied by DSC and TGA. Copolymer composition was determined by $^1H$ NMR and/or by elemental analysis and monomer reactivity ratios (MRR) were estimated by the linear methods of Kelen-Tudos (K-T) and extended Kelen-Tudos (EK-T) and the non-linear approach. Copolymers of St and HPMA with NVP formed blocks of one of the monomer units, whereas alternating copolymers were obtained in CPMI-NVP, depending upon the side chain substitution. The MRR values are discussed in terms of monomer structural properties such as electronegativity and electron delocalization. The sequence distribution of monomers in the copolymers was studied by statistical method based on the average reactivity ratios obtained by EK-T method.

HEMA가 치환된 Polyphosphazene의 공중합 및 콘택트렌즈 응용 (Copolymerization and Contact Lens Application of HEMA-Substituted Polyphosphazene)

  • Phosphonitrillic chroride cyclic trimer 화합물을 $200{\sim}300\;{^{\circ}C}$ 하에 개환중합하여 선상 고분자를 얻 은 후 Grignard 시약 ($CH_2$=CH-MgBr)을 천천히 가하여 vinyl 기를 포함하는 polyphosphazene을 합성하였 으며, 이 폴리머를 HEMA(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate)와 반응시켜 HEMA/vinyl-substituted polyphosphazene 을 얻었다. 이 고분자를 AIBN (azobisisobutyronitrile) 개시제 존재 하에서 교차결합제로 EGDMA(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) 그리고 NVP (N-vinyl-pyrrolidone)을 혼합하여 공중합 시켰다. 얻어진 공중합체에 대한 측정 결과 산소투과율 (Dk/t)은 88로 측정되었으며, 함수율은 30.89% 그리고 가시광선 투과율은 87%로 나타났다. 이 자료로부터 이 공중합체가 우수한 콘택트렌즈 재료임을 발견하였다.

술폰화된 polysulfone 비대칭막의 제조와 이를 이용한 물-부탄올 수용액의 탈수거동 (Dehydration Behavior of Water-butanol Solutions through Asymmetric Sulfonated Po.ysulfone Membrane)

  • Polysulfone을 술폰화하여 물-부탄올 용액의 분리를 위한 투과증발용 비대칭막을 제조하였다. 술론화제로는 chlorosulfoneic acid-trimethyulchlorosilane을 반응시킨 후 이용하였다. FT-IR과 $^1H$-NMR을 이용하여 치환여부를 살펴보았고 술폰화정도는 역적정법과 $^1H$H-NMR을 이용하여 구하였다. DSC와 TGA를 이용하여 열적특성변화를 알아보았다. 비대칭막을 제조하기 위하여 N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP)rhkdiethyleneglycol dimethyl ether (DGDE)의 혼합용매를 사용하였다. SEM을 이용하여 단면과 skinlayer 의 구조변화를 살펴보았다. 한 연구에서 제조한 비대칭막은 dense film에 비하여 물에 대한 선택도는 거의 변화가 없고 투과유량은 약 80배 정도 증가하였다.

Morphology of Membranes Formed from Polysulfone/Polyethersulfone/N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone/Water System by Immersion Precipitation

  • The polysulfone(PSf)/polyethersulfone(PES) blend membranes were prepared by an immersion precipitation method. N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP) was used as a solvent and water as a nonsolvent. The composition of the coagulation bath and the dope polymer concentration as well as the blend ratio of two polymers were varied. The membrane morphologies were interpreted on the basis of the phase diagram of the PSf/PES/NMP/water system. As the solvent content in the coagulation bath increased in the single polymer system, the number of macrovoids decreased and the morphology was changed from finger-like to cellular structure. In the given bath condition phase separation occurs earlier for the solutions of PSf/PES blend than for those of single polymer. A horizontally layered structure and horizontal protuberances inside the macrovoid were observed for the membranes formed from PSf/PES blend solutions. This peculiar structure formation can be interpreted by a PSf-rich/PES-rich phase separation followed by a polymer-rich/polymer-lean phase separation during the exchange of solvent and nonsolvent.

비휘발성 용매(NMP)를 사용한 인산형 연료전지(PAFC)용 전해질 매트릭스 제조 및 특성 (Preparation and Characteristics of a Matrix Retaining Electrolyte for a Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell Using Non-volatile Solvent, NMP)

  • Preparation and characteristics of a matrix retaining electrolyte using SiC whisker, PES binder, and NMP(n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) as a non-volatile solvent for a phosphoric acid fuel cell were investigated. The conditions of binder and plasticizer, and the effects of substituting a volatile solvent by a non-volatile solvent were also studied. The minimum amount of the binder was about 17 wt% for the proper bubble pressure and surrounding SiC whiskers. And the maximum amount of the plasticizer was about 10wt% to be fitted into the polymer chain of the binder. The matrix prepared by using a non-volatile solvent needed longer time to dry, and its pore size was smaller compared with that of the matrix prepared by using volatile solvent. The small pore size resulted in decrease of the overall pore volume. The ionic conductivity in the condition of the same thickness was decreased due to decrease of phosphoric acid absorbancy. As the internal resistance of the electrolyte increased, the fuel cell performance slightly decreased.

Poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) Conjugated Lipid System for the Hydrophobic Drug Delivery

  • Water soluble polymer, poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) was chosen to conjugate with 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-(succinyl) (N-succinyl DPPE) to make a new drug delivery system. PVP with an amine group (amino-PVP) was polymerized by free radical polymerization. The amine group of amino-PVP was conjugated with the carboxylic group of N-succinyl DPPE. The resultant conjugate could form nanoparticles in the aqueous solution; these nanoparticles were termed a lipid-polymer system. The critical aggregation concentration was measured with pyrene to give a value of $1{\times}10^{-3}g/L$. The particle size of the lipid-polymer system, as measured by DLS, AFM and TEM, was about 70 nm. Lipophilic component in the inner part of the lipid-polymer system could derive the physical interaction with hydrophobic drugs. Griseofulvin was used as a model drug in this study. The loading efficiency and release profile of the drug were measured by HPLC. The loading efficiency was about 54%. The release behavior was sustained for a prolonged time of 12 days. The proposed lipid-polymer system with biodegradable and biocompatible properties has promising potential as a passive-targeting drug delivery carrier because of its small particle size.

Synthesis of Polyimide Derived from 4-Methyl-1,2-phenylene Bis(4-aminobenzoate) and 4,4'-Hexafluoroisopropylidenediphthalic Anhydride

  • Aromatic diamine containing ortho catenation and methyl group was synthesized from 4-methyl catechol and 4-nitrobenzoyl chloride. Subsequently, a poly(amic acid) was prepared by reacting 4-methyl-1,2-phenylene bis(4-aminobenzoate) with 4,4'-hexafluoroisopropylidenediphthalic anhydride (6FDA). The resulting poly(amic acid) was transformed into a polyimide through chemical imidization. The polyimide formed was soluble in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and could be cast into a flexible, transparent film. Furthermore, the polyimide exhibited a 5% weight loss at 380 ℃ in the nitrogen atmosphere.

폴리이서설폰 비대칭 기체분리막의 제조와 분리성능 (Preparation of Asymmetric Polyethersulfone Membrane and its Gas Separation Performance)

  • 건/습식 상전환법을 이용하여 비대칭 polyethersulfone (PES) 기체분리막을 제조하였으며, $CO_2$, $N_2$등의 기체에 대한 투과특성을 조사하였다. 분리막 제조에 있어서 주요 변수인 캐스팅 용액과 증발시간 등이 분리막의 구조에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 투과특성을 조사하여 최적의 제조조건을 확립하였다. 또한 제조된 분리막의 표피층에 존재하는 pin-hole과 같은 결점을 보완하기 위하여 실리콘 수지를 코팅하여 그 투과특성의 변화를 조사하였다. 실리콘 수지 코팅이 결점을 보완하는데 효과적임을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 분리막 제조에 주로 사용한 캐스팅 용액은 PES, 14-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, 아세톤, 에탄올로 구성되었으며, 응고제로는 증류수를 사용하였다. 캐스팅 용액 중의 PES 함량이 높아질수록, 휘발성 유기용매의 비율이 높아질수록, 증발시간이 길수록, 에탄을 첨가제의 농도가 낮을수록 $CO_2$/$N_2$의 선택도는 높아지고 투과도는 낮아지는 결과를 보였다. 최적의 분리막 제조조건 하에서 얻어진 분리막의 분리성능은 $CO_2$/$N_2$의 선택도가 61이고 $CO_2$의 투과도는 21 GPU인 우수한 결과를 보였다.

Vinylanisole을 포함한 고굴절률 안의료용 렌즈 재료에 관한 연구 (Study on the Ophthalmic Lens Materials with High Refractive Index Containing Vinylanisole)

  • 본 연구는 3-vinylanisole과 4-vinylanisole를 교차결합제인 EGDMA (ethylene glycol dimethacrylate)와 HEMA (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), MMA (methyl methacrylate), NVP (N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) 그리고 개시제인 AIBN (azobisisobutyronitrile)과 함께 공중합 하였다. 생성된 고분자 재료의 물리적 특성을 측정한 결과 굴절률 1.4496 - 1.4894, 함수율 22.93 - 35.50%, 가시광선 투과율 88.8 - 90.8%를 나타내었다. 또한, 3-vinylanisole과 4-vinylanisole의 비율이 증가할수록 굴절률은 증가하였으며, 함수율은 감소하였다. 3-vinylanisole과 4-vinylanisole을 15% 첨가한 콘택트렌즈의 경우, UV-A 52.8 - 82.2%, UV-B 13.2 - 26.2%의 투과율을 나타내어 자외선 차단 효과가 다소 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 실험결과로 볼 때 생성된 공중합체는 자외선 차단성과 고굴절률을 가진 안의료용 재료로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
