An Efficient Data Dissemination Protocol for Cluster-based Wireless Sensor Networks (클러스터 기반의 무선 센서네트워크에서 통신량을 줄인 데이터 보급방법)

  • A sensor network is an important element of the ubiquitous and it consists of sensor fields that contain sensor nodes and sink nodes that collect data from sensor nodes. Since each sensor node has limited resources, one of the important issues covered in the past sensor network studies has been maximizing the usage of limited energy to extend network lifetime. However, most studies have only considered fixed sink nodes, which created various problems for cases with multiple mobile sink nodes. Accordingly, while maintaining routes to mobile sink nodes, this study aims to deploy the hybrid communication mode that combines single and multi-hop modes for intra-cluster and inter-cluster transmission to resolve the problem of failed data transmission to mobile sink nodes caused by disconnected routes. Furthermore, a 2-level hierarchical routing protocol was used to reduce the number of sensor nodes participating in data transmission, and cross-shape trajectory forwarding was employed in packet transmission to provide an efficient data dissemination method.

  • 우리나라는 과거부터 현재까지 미래 성장동력 육성을 목표로 정부주도하에 국가 R&D 투자를 점진적으로 늘려왔다. 그 결과, 최근에는 GDP 대비 연구개발비 비중이 세계 최고 수준에 이르렀다. 이렇게 연구개발 예산의 양적인 확대와 함께 연구개발 예산의 효율적 활용은 더욱 중요한 과학기술 분야의 정책적 이슈로 부각되고 있다. 연구개발 예산의 효율적인 집행을 위해서는 R&D 사업의 유사 중복성의 검토가 필수적이지만, 대부분의 유사 중복성 검토는 전문가의 직관적인 판단에 근거하여 이루어져왔다. 하지만, 전문가의 직관에만 의지한 판단은 때로는 불명확하거나 잘못된 결과를 가져올 수도 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 네트워크 분석을 통해 정부 R&D 사업의 유사 중복성을 체계적으로 검토하기 위한 데이터기반의 방법론을 제안하여 전문가의 직관에 의한 유사 중복성 검토를 보완할 수 있는 가능성을 모색하고자 한다. 먼저, 본 연구에서는 정부 R&D사업 유사영역의 전체적인 구조 및 형태와 국가과학기술연구회 소속 25개 정부출연연구기관 R&D사업의 유사영역의 전반적인 형태를 시각화하여 유사영역을 파악하고 직관적인 판단과 선택을 할 수 있는 의사결정 정보를 제공하는데 초점을 두었다. 이를 위해, NTIS의 2015년 데이터를 사용하여 과제 키워드 기반으로 동시단어출현 분석을 수행하였다. 본 분석을 통해 25개 기관의 세부적인 유사연구영역 형태를 제시하였으며, 국내의 과학기술정책적 또는 과학기술학적인 현상들을 시각화하였다. 그 결과, 국내 출연연 R&D사업이 기관별 고유영역이 확고히 보이는 Mode 1적인 형태와 사회경제적인 맥락과 필요 및 유망성을 따르고, 다학제적, 적용중심적이며 과제별로 다양한 과제수행기관들이 과제들을 동시에 수행하는 Mode 2적인 형태가 출연연의 R&D사업 내에 공존하고 있음을 확인하였다.

Implementation of IEEE 802.15.4a Software Stack for Ranging Accuracy Based on SDS-TWR (SDS-TWR 기반의 거리측정 정확도를 위한 IEEE 802.15.4a 소프트웨어 스택 구현)

  • The localization accuracy in wireless sensor networks using ranging-based localization algorithms is greatly influenced by the ranging accuracy. Software implementation of HAL(Hardware Abstraction Layer) and MAC(Medium Access Layer) should seamlessly deliver the raw performance of ranging-based localization provided by hardware capability fully to the applications without degrading the raw performance. This paper presents the design and implementation of the software stack for IEEE 802.15.4a which supports normal ranging mode of the Nanotron's NA5TR1 RF chip. The experiment results shows that average ranging error rate with our implementation is 24.5% for the normal mode of the SDS-TWR ranging scheme.

  • Guanxi could be regarded as communities based on blood, regionalism, school ties centering on individual person. It has been used as a means of personal interests security and acquisition. What is more, it has formed a mode of socio-economic order, which is an inter-obligation relations based on mutual benefits. In practice, it is necessary to understand and accept guanxi in China, as it is a key factor to understand consumer patterns, inter-firm relations and extra-firm relations between firm and government. In this context, the main aim of the reserach is to identify the impact of guanxi on the business activities of Korean foreign direct investment firms in China by investigating their networks based on guanxi.

Performances of wireless ATM cell transmission with partial concatenated coding (무선 ATM셀 전송을 위한 부분 연쇄 부호화 기법의 성능분석)

  • In this paper, the performances of wireless asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) cell transmission in mobile work are analyzed. We adopt 16Star QAM as amodulation technique in wireless channel and considered Reed-Solomon, convolutional, and concatenated coding to improve the error rate performances, and also proposed the Partial Concatenated Coding (PCC) technique as UEP(unequal error protection) code for efficient transmission of ATM cell in the air interface. We consider Doppler's effect, Rician fading, and diversity technique of maximal-ratio combining (MRC) for mobile channel model. For performance measure, we analyze bit error rate, ATM cell loss probability, ATM cell error probability, and network performances of ATM cell transmission delay and throughput. The numerical results show that the adoption of PCC is a prospective way for the evolution of future wireless ATM network on mobile environment.

Status and Role of Technological Knowledge Exchange Network in Regional Cluster: Performance Differences in Structural Equivalent Groups (지역 클러스터 내 기술지식 교류 네트워크의 지위와 역할: 구조적 등위성 집단의 성과 차이)

  • This study empirically conduct structural equivalence analysis based on social network analysis in picking up on overall structural characteristics of technological knowledge exchange in a regional cluster. Previous conceptual studies so far have argued that performance differences among structurally equivalent groups exist. However, because little research has been done to empirically investigate this conceptual hypothesis, this study is conducted as complementary to fill this void. For analysis, we utilize two-mode network data consisted of 2,550 firms by investigating 53 technological knowledge exchange-related associations within Gumi national industrial cluster. The results show that some structurally equivalent groups can be defined appropriately and its role can be conditioned by firms' salient characteristics attached to each structural equivalent groups. In addition, it is presented through the present study that performance difference in structural equivalent groups can be distinct by some selected performance indicators. Finally, this study suggests the need to advance the study of performance differences in structurally equivalent groups in the future.

A Backup Node Based Fault-tolerance Scheme for Coverage Preserving in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서의 감지범위 보존을 위한 백업 노드 기반 결함 허용 기법)

  • In wireless sensor networks, the limited battery resources of sensor nodes have a direct impact on network lifetime. To reduce unnecessary power consumption, it is often the case that only a minimum number of sensor nodes operate in active mode while the others are kept in sleep mode. In such a case, however, the network service can be easily unreliable if any active node is unable to perform its sensing or communication function because of an unexpected failure. Thus, for achieving reliable sensing, it is important to maintain the sensing level even when some sensor nodes fail. In this paper, we propose a new fault-tolerance scheme, called FCP(Fault-tolerant Coverage Preserving), that gives an efficient way to handle the degradation of the sensing level caused by sensor node failures. In the proposed FCP scheme, a set of backup nodes are pre-designated for each active node to be used to replace the active node in case of its failure. Experimental results show that the FCP scheme provides enhanced performance with reduced overhead in terms of sensing coverage preserving, the number of backup nodes and the amount of control messages. On the average, the percentage of coverage preserving is improved by 87.2% while the additional number of backup nodes and the additional amount of control messages are reduced by 57.6% and 99.5%, respectively, compared with previous fault-tolerance schemes.

PCB Component Classification Algorithm Based on YOLO Network for PCB Inspection (PCB 검사를 위한 YOLO 네트워크 기반의 PCB 부품 분류 알고리즘)

  • AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is a very important step to guarantee the product performance. The process of registering components called teaching mode is first perform, and AOI is then carried out in a testing mode that checks defects, such as recognizing and comparing the component mounted on the PCB to the stored components. Since most of registration of the components on the PCB is done manually, it takes a lot of time and there are many problems caused by mistakes or misjudgement. In this paper, A components classifier is proposed using YOLO (You Only Look Once) v2's object detection model that can automatically register components in teaching modes to reduce dramatically time and mistakes. The network of YOLO is modified to classify small objects, and the number of anchor boxes was increased from 9 to 15 to classify various types and sizes. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a good performance with 99.86% accuracy.

A Modified PTW Wakeup Scheme for Performance Enhancement in Wireless Sensor Network (무선 센서 네트워크에서 성능향상을 위한 수정된 PTW Wakeup 구조)

  • A Pipelined Tone Wakeup(PTW) scheme(1) was proposed to support energy saving and end-to-end delay for sensor networks by providing an asynchronous wakeup pipeline to overlap the wakeup procedures with the packet transmission. But the scheme uses two radios and assumes error-free environments. In this paper, we propose a modified PTW scheme for wireless sensor networks. The proposed scheme is based on the PTW. The difference is that next hop information will be included in the ack packet from receiver node to sender node, So all the other neighbor nodes can stay in sleep mode long enough to save energy. Also ore get enhanced delay performance.

  • IoT 환경에서는 자원 제약적인 디바이스가 보안이 취약한 무선 네트워크에 연결될 가능성이 존재한다. 초저전력 디바이스를 지원하는 무선 네트워크 표준 DASH7 Mode 2는 보안 분야 표준화가 진행 중이며 다양한 취약점에 대한 해결 방안을 모색 중이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 DASH7 환경에서 IoT 표준 프로토콜인 CoAP를 이용하여 안전한 메시지 전송을 위한 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 또한 데이터 위변조, 재전송 및 가장 공격에 대한 안전성에 대하여 분석하였다.
