Identification of System Frequency Variations in Vehicle-Bridge Interaction Systems (교량-차량 동적상호작용을 고려한 시간가변적 시스템 특성 분석)

  • Natural frequency variations in a vehicle-bridge interaction system is examined. The interaction system is designed for a simple beam subject to a moving vehicle. The equation of motion for the system is derived under the quarter-car condition, and numerical simulation is performed. Frequency amplification ratio (FAR) is defined as a ratio between the initial and the varying natural frequency of the system; a discontinuity in the FAR implies a resonance condition. Analysis is mainly focused on patterns, frequency variation characteristics, and discontinuity points of the FAR under the vehicle mass and tire stiffness variations. The result reveals that the interactions between the system affects the natural frequency of both the vehicle and the bridge in similar frequency regions that can be visually identified at the middle of the span using the FAR.

  • The fluid system such as, the quantity control of raw water, chemicals control in the purification, the waste water system as well as in the feed water or circulation system of the power plant and the ventilation system is controlled with the valve and moter pump. The system's performance and the energy saving of the fluid systems depend on control of method and delicacy. Until, PI controller use in these system but it cannot control delicately because of the coupling in the system loop. In this paper we configure a single flow system to the multi variable system and suggest the application of 2-DOF PID controller and the tuning methods by the neural network to the electrical power of the flow control system. the 2-DOF controller follows to a setpoint has a robustness against the disturbance in the results of simulation. Determination of Freely Dissolved PAHs in Seawater around the Korean Peninsula Using High Speed Rotation-Type Passive Sampling Device (고속회전식 수동형 채집 장치를 이용한 한반도 주변해역에서의 자유용존상 PAHs 측정)

  • A new high speed rotation type-passive sampling device (HSR-PSD), which can rotate seawater at high speed and absorb easily and quickly the freely dissolved hydrophobic organic contaminants from seawater, was developed and then applied around the Korean Peninsula. Freely dissolved concentrations (Cfree) of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were determined using the HSR-PSD with low density polyethylene (LDPE) sheets as a passive sampler. Furthermore, dissolved concentrations (Cdissolved) of PAHs in seawater were also obtained from high volume water sampling as a conventional method to account for actual bioavailability. When the LDPE sheets were rotated in the HSR-PSD at 900 rpm, PAHs with log KOW 3.4 ~ 5.2 were equilibrated between the LDPE and water in 5 hours. Although the high molecular weight PAHs with log KOW 5.6 ~ 6.8 was expected to be 2 to 30 days to reach the equilibrium, the Cfree of the PAHs at equilibrium could be corrected using performance reference compounds in 5 hours. Meanwhile, the total Cfree of PAHs were from 0.32 to 1.2 ng/L, which were higher than reported values in other oceans, but lower than in coastal water such as estuary, harbor, or shore. A bioavailability from the detected PAHs was highest at the sampling line near the dumping site of the Yellow Sea. Predicted residual concentrations in biota were relatively higher in offshore including the dumping site than in coastal regions.

  • 본 논문에서는 자유 선택 신호 전이 그래프와 비동기 유한 상태기로 기술된 회로 명세로부터 직접 속도 독립 회로를 합성하는 시스템에 대해 기술한다. 기존의 상태 그래프 기반의 합성 시스템은 상태의 수가 지수승으로 증가할 수 있기 때문에 큰 규모의 회로에 대해서는 합성에 실패할 수 있다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 여러 직접 합성 방법들이 제안되었는데, 본 논문의 합성 시스템은 마크드 그래프 분할 방법과 임시 전이의 사용을 허용함으로써 합성할 수 있는 회로의 범위를 넓혔다. 기존의 벤치마크 회로에 대한 실험결과 본 합성 시스템은 기존의 상태 그래프 기반의 합성 시스템에 비하여 현저하게 수행 속도를 단축시킬 수 있었고 기존의 직접 합성 시스템에 비하여 보다 확장된 그리고 보다 실용적인 회로 명세를 처리할 수 있었다.

Development of User-friendly Modeling Interface for Process-based Total System Performance Assessment Framework (APro) for Geological Disposal System of High-level Radioactive Waste (고준위폐기물 심층처분시스템에 대한 프로세스 기반 종합성능평가 체계(APro)의 사용자 친화적 모델링 인터페이스 개발)

  • A user-friendly modeling interface is developed for a process-based total system performance assessment framework (APro) specialized for a generic geological disposal system for high-level radioactive waste. The APro modeling interface is constructed using MATLAB, and the operator splitting scheme is used to combine COMSOL for simulation of multiphysics and PHREEQC for the calculation of geochemical reactions. As APro limits the modeling domain to the generic disposal system, the degree of freedom of the model is low. In contrast, the user-friendliness of the model is improved. Thermal, hydraulic, mechanical and chemical processes considered in the disposal system are modularized, and users can select one of multiple modules: "Default process" and multi "Alternative process". APro mainly consists of an input data part and calculation execution part. The input data are prepared in a single EXCEL file with a given format, and the calculation part is coded using MATLAB. The final results of the calculation are created as an independent COMSOL file for further analysis.

  • To understand the concept of dynamic motion in two degree nonlinear coupled system, free vibration not including damping and excitation is investigated with the concept of nonlinear normal mode. Stability analysis of a coupled system is conducted, and the theoretical analysis performed for the bifurcation phenomenon in the system. Bifurcation point is estimated using harmonic balance method. When the bifurcation occurs, the saddle point is always found on Poincare's map. Nonlinear phenomenon result in amplitude modulation near the saddle point and the internal resonance in the system making continuous interchange of energy. If the bifurcation in the normal mode is local, the motion remains stable for a long time even when the total energy is increased in the system. On the other hand, if the bifurcation is global, the motion in the normal mode disappears into the chaos range as the range becomes gradually large.

  • In this paper, two plant models, of which one is newly developed and the other one is the conventional one, of the focus servo system of DVD drive are presented and a two-degree-of freedom controller consisted of Inverse dynamics feedforward and LQG/LTR feedback controller is designed. The newly developed plant model is used to design the feedforward controller and the conventional model is used for the design of feedback controller. The output of newly developed model is the displacement of objective lens and the output of conventional model is the focus error of the DVD focus servo system. The displacement of the objective lens is estimated by the dynamics model of the DVD focus servo system. The disturbance rejection performance of the two-degree-of freedom controller is compared with that of an LQG/LTR one.

  • A mathematical modeling for a magnetic levitation system is proposed using the Taylor series expansion of differential function for obtaining linearity. It is confirmed that this kind of linear approximation method can be used to the modeling of a magnetic levitation system. The two-degree-of-freedom optimal servo system for a constant reference signal is proposed using the LQ optimization technique. An additional state feedback is introduced at the output of the integrator to cancel the integral action for reference signal if there is no modeling error of the plant and no disturbance input to the plant. When the modeling error or the disturbance input exists, the integral effect appears. The system has a free parameter which can b used to tune the effect of the integral compensation.

  • In this paper, we designed neural network predictive two degree of freedom PID controller to control sway of crane Crane's trolley arrive minimum oscillation of transfer body and establishment position in minimum time. When various establishment location and surrounding disturbance were approved based on mathematical modeling of crane, controller designed to become effective control location error and oscillation angle of two control variables that simultaneously can predictive control. We wish to develop automatic travel control system through anti-sway skill of crane.

  • In this paper, a controller design method is proposed for haptic interface considering transparency and robust stability. For this, a performance index for the transparency as performance measure is defined in the points of impedance matching and the optimal solution which is minimizing the performance index is obtained by solving H2 optimal problem. In haptic interface, the modeling uncertainties can be restricted to that of haptic device. To implement the robust stabilizing haptic controller to the uncertainties of haptic device, a robust stable condition using H$\infty$ norm from small gain theorem is proposed. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed haptic controller design scheme, numerical examples and experimental results are illustrated for virtual wall consisting of stiffness and damping factor.
