The Suggestion of Effective Measurement Techniques for Positioning Under Poor GPS Reference Network Condition

  • This research is suggesting the most effective positioning method for GPS based positioning when no GPS reference point is available in the neighborhood. For this purpose, we carried out positioning of the IGS realtime observatories in Australia in various conditions. According to the research, we were certainly assured the one reference point with a short baseline length is more effective for differential positioning than multiple reference points with a long baseline distance beyond 1,000km and suggested the precise point positioning based positioning method can be an excellent substitute when no reference point is available around an unknown point. The research result may be used as the basic data for accurate positioning in poor reference point environments, especially in Antarctica.

有限要素法에 의한 舶用機關軸系裝置의 最適配置에 關한 硏究 (Optimum Alignment of Marine Engine Shaftings by the Finite Element Method)

  • The authors have developed a calculating method of propeller shaft alignment by the finite element method. The propeller shaft is divided into finite elements which can be treated as uniform section bars. For each element, the nodal point equation is derived from the stiffness matrix, the external force vector and the section force vector. Then the overall nodal point equation is derived from the element nodal point equation. The deflection, offset, bending moment and shearing force of each nodal point are calculated from the overall nodal point equation by the digital computer. Reactions and deflections of supporting points of straight shaft are calculated and also the reaction influence number is derived. With the reaction influence number the optimum alignment condition that satisfies all conditions is calculated by the simplex method of linear programming. All results of calculation are compared with those of Det norske Veritas, which has developed a computor program based on the three-moment theorem of the strength of materials. The authors finite element method has shown good results and will be used effectively to design the propeller shaft alignment.

  • 본 논문에서는 사영과 치환불변 점 특징을 기반으로 카메라의 외부인수를 산출하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존 연구에서의 특징 정보들은 카메라의 뷰 포인트에 따라 변화하기 때문에 대응점 산출이 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 카메라 위치에 무관한 불변 점 특징을 추출하고 시간 복잡도 감소와 정확한 대응점 산출을 위해 유사도 평가함수와 Graham 탐색 방법을 이용한 새로운 정합방법을 제안한다. 또한 카메라 외부인수 산출단계에서는 LM 알고리즘의 수렴도를 향상시키기 위해 2단계 카메라 동작인수 산출방법을 제안한다. 실험에서는 다양한 실내영상을 이용하여 기존방법과 비교, 분석함으로써 제안한 알고리즘의 우수성을 입증하였다.

선분분류를 이용한 실내영상의 소실점 추출 (Vanishing Points Detection in Indoor Scene Using Line Segment Classification)

  • 본 논문에서는 선분분류를 이용하여 실내영상의 소실점을 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 실내영상을 효율적으로 검출하기 위하여 2 단계로 소실점을 추출한다. 1 단계에서는 이미지가 1 점 투시인지 2 점 투시인지 판별한다. 만일 이미지가 2 점 투시이면, 선분분류를 위하여 검출된 소실점을 지나는 수평선을 구한다. 2 단계에서는 선분분류를 이용하여 2 개의 소실점을 정확히 검출한다. 또 본 논문에서는 인공영상과 이미지 DB를 이용하여 제안한 방법을 평가하였다. 노이즈를 첨가한 인공 영상에 대해서는 노이즈가 60%를 차지할 때까지 검출한 소실점과 실제 소실점과의 차이가 16 픽셀 이하였다. A. Quattoni 와 A. Torralba가 제안한 이미지 DB를 이용한 평가에서는 87% 이상의 이미지에 대하여 소실점을 검출하였다.

확률적인 소실점 추정 기법에 기반한 강인한 송전선 검출 방법 (A Robust Power Transmission Lines Detection Method Based on Probabilistic Estimation of Vanishing Point)

  • We present a robust power transmission lines detection method based on vanishing point estimation. Vanishing point estimation can be helpful to detect power transmission lines because parallel lines converge on the vanishing point in a projected 2D image. However, it is not easy to estimate the vanishing point correctly in an image with complex background. Thus, we first propose a vanishing point estimation method on power transmission lines by using a probabilistic voting procedure based on intersection points of line segments. In images obtained by our system, power transmission lines are located in a fan-shaped area centered on this estimated vanishing point, and therefore we select the line segments that converge to the estimated vanishing point as candidate line segments for power transmission lines only in this fan-shaped area. Finally, we detect the power transmission lines from these candidate line segments. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust to noise and efficient to detect power transmission lines.

  • In this paper, we first propose a fast one-parameter relaxation (FOPR) method with a scaled preconditioner for solving the saddle point problems, and then we present a formula for finding its optimal parameter. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed FOPR method with a scaled preconditioner, numerical experiments are provided by comparing its performance with the existing one or two parameter relaxation methods with optimal parameters such as the SOR-like, the GSOR and the GSSOR methods.

  • 소실점이란 실제 공간의 평행한 선들이 영상 내에 투영되면서 한곳에 모이는 점이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 소실점의 특성을 이용한 실시간 소실점 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 소실점 검출 방법은 1) 복잡한 계산이 요구되거나 2) 알고리즘에 따라 소실점을 검출할 수 있는 영상이 제한되어 있다. 제안하는 방법은 블록 기반의 HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradient)를 구하여 영상의 구조적 특성을 이용하는 것으로 영상 내에 존재하는 소실점을 실시간으로 검출한다. 먼저 영상의 블록 단위로 HOG 기술자를 구한 뒤, 제안하는 동적 프로그래밍(dynamic programing)을 이용하여 소실점의 위치를 예측한다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 영상에 대한 실험을 통해 제안하는 알고리즘이 효율적인 소실점 검출 방법임을 보이고자 한다.

A Method to Compensate the Distorted Space Vectors in the Unbalanced Neutral Point Voltage of 3-level NPC PWM Inverters

  • This paper proposes a compensation method to improve the distorted space vectors when a 3-level Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) inverter has an unbalanced neutral point voltage. Since both the neutral point voltage of the DC link and the space vector of a 3-level NPC inverter are closely related depending on the output load connecting state, a distorted space vector can occur when the neutral point voltage of a 3-level NPC inverter is unbalanced. The proposed method can improve the distorted space vectors by adjusting the injection time of the small and medium vectors and by modulating the amplitude of the carrier waveforms. In this paper, the proposed method is verified by both simulation and experimental results based on a 3-level NPC inverter.

Camera Motion Parameter Estimation Technique using 2D Homography and LM Method based on Invariant Features

  • In this paper, we propose a method to estimate camera motion parameter based on invariant point features. Typically, feature information of image has drawbacks, it is variable to camera viewpoint, and therefore information quantity increases after time. The LM(Levenberg-Marquardt) method using nonlinear minimum square evaluation for camera extrinsic parameter estimation also has a weak point, which has different iteration number for approaching the minimal point according to the initial values and convergence time increases if the process run into a local minimum. In order to complement these shortfalls, we, first propose constructing feature models using invariant vector of geometry. Secondly, we propose a two-stage calculation method to improve accuracy and convergence by using homography and LM method. In the experiment, we compare and analyze the proposed method with existing method to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithms.

  • The specifications needed for the mobile cranes are summarized as the following : 1) there may be not occured the oscillation of the cargo at unloading point. 2)the required time from departure point to destination point may be as short as possible. 3) there may be not a collapse of cargo caused by the oscillation in the course that the crago is mobilling. In this paper, the linear fractional transformation method is adopted as a method in order to improve the above mentioned problems. A design method of servo system is developed by modifying Davison's method for the case that the homogeneous differential equations of reference input and disturbance are different types. The real time control of a mobile crane system is implemented by 16bits microcomputer with A/D and D/A converters to illustrate the application of the adopted method. The experimental results for the three types of the design methods; linear fractional transformation method, servo system design method and optimal control method are shown for the comparison.
