  • 1차 안전기준은 안전한 공사관리를 위한 목표치이며, 2차 주의기준은 주변구조물이나 주민에게 안전에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 범위 값이며, 3차 정밀분석기준은 공사장 자체의 위험에 대비하는 기준을 의미 하므로 향후에는 계측항목별로 계측관리기준을 세분하여 적용하는 것이 필요하다.

Three-dimensional finite element analysis on the effect of maxillary incisor torque (상악 절치부-토크에 의한 치아 이동과 응력 분포에 관한 유한요소법적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the stress distribution in the periodontal tissue and the displacement of teeth when active torque was applied to the maxillary incisors by three-dimensional finite element analysis A three-dimensional finite element model consisted of the maxillary teeth and surrounding periodontal membrane, $.022{\times}.028$ Roth prescription bracket and stainless steel, NiTi and TMA rectangular ideal arch wires which were modeled by hexahedron elements. Applied active torques were 2, 5 and 10 degrees ThHe findings of this study showed that the reaction force acting or the bracket was the extrusion force on the mesial side of the incisors and canine and the intrusion force on the distal side of the incisors and canine. The amount of force and moment was greatest at the lateral incisor. When active anterior labial crown torque was applied. labial crown and distal tipping and Intrusion of the incisors took place. and lingual crown distal tipping and extrusion of the canine occured. An excessive force was concentrated on the lateral incisor, when the stainless steel wire was used NiTi or TMA wire is desirable for torque control.

A PHOTOELASTIC STUDY ON THE STRESS DISTRIBUTION OF THE UPPER ANTERIOR TEETH WHEN RETRACT WITH HIGH PULL J-HOOK HEADGEAR (상악전치의 후방견인시 J-hook headgear의 사용이 응력분포변화에 미치는 영향에 대한 광탄성학적 연구)

  • This study was designed to investigate the stress intensity and distribution produced by 1mm activation of retraction archwire with $0^{\circ},\;7^{\circ},\;14^{\circ}$ torque and application of high polk J-hook headgear during retraction of four maxillary incisors using the photoelastic stress analysis. The photoelastic model was made with a PL-3 type epoxy resin which was substituted by alveolar bone portion. Each retraction archwire was fabricated from .020' X .025' stainless steel wire which had vertical loops in 7mm height and hooks for high pull J-hook headgear between central and lateral incisors. The high pull J-hook headgear was applied 35 degree backward and upward to occlusal plane with 200gm pet each side The findings of this study were as follows: 1. In case of $0^{\circ}$ torque, the stress was distributed from cervical 1/8 to apex of roots of central and lateral incisors which were the forms of arc mode. When the high pull J-hook headgear was applied, the stress distributed by arc mode was presented from cervical 1/2 to apex of roots of central and lateral incisors. And the stress distributed by following the root surface was presented from alveolar crest to cervical 1/2 of roots of central and lateral incisors. The stress between apecies of central and Lateral incisors was presented also. 2. In case of $7^{\circ}$ torque, the stress distributed by arc mode was presented from cervical 1/2 to apex of roots of central and lateral incisors. And the stress distributed by following the root surface was presented from alveolar crest to cervical 1/2 of roots of central and lateral incisors. When the high pull J-hook headgear was applied, the stress distributed by following the root surface was presented mote apically than without headgear. The stress between apecies of central and lateral incisors was presented also. 3. In case of $14^{\circ}$ torque, the stress distributed by following the root surface was Presented from alveolar crest to apex of roots of central and lateral incisors. When the high pull J-hook headgear was applied, the stress distributed by following the root surface was presented stronger than without headgear The stress between apecies of central and lateral incisors was presented also.

A Field Evaluation of Calcium Carbonate Scale Prevention using Molecular Vibration in Subway Tunnels (분자진동을 이용한 스케일 방지 기술의 지하철 터널 내 현장적용성 평가)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the field applicability of Quantum Stick in scale deposit prevention for subway tunnels in Seoul. This technology was installed into drainpipes and its performance was monitored through occasional site visits. SEM and EDS were also performed on scale collected from these drain pipes. Results showed a decrease in scale deposits due to Quantum Stick treatment. In the field test, the device was found to be effective in preventing scale formation in new pipes as well as reducing existing scale in previously installed pipes. However, further investigations are necessary to account for various environmental conditions. In conclusion, the results indicate that molecular Vibration technology is effective in suppressing scale formation.

  • The performance of the National Highway is raised, but the capacity of the signalized intersection on the National Highway is low. It's operated by TOD(Time Of Day) mode. To evaluate of the performance of COSMOS(Cycle, Offset, Split Model for Seoul), a real time traffic adaptive signal control system, on the National Highway, studied volume, travel time and queuing length at TOD control and TRC(Traffic responsive Control). Consequently, the average travel speed at TRC is high $2.9\~16.7$km/h then the average travel speed at TOD control. And te queuing length at TRC is low $15\~196m$ then the queuing length at TOD control.

  • The blasting to construct subways in Seoul, Korea. have often increased complaints of ground vibration. In order to prevent the damage to structures, it was necessary to predict the level of blasting induced vibration and to determine the maximum charge weight per delay within a allowable vibration level. A total of 109 blasts were recorded at ten sites. Blast-to-structure distances ranged from 8 to 84.2 meter, where charge weight varied from 0,1125 to 7.85 kg per delay. The data from blast were studied to determine the effect of explosives type on the vibration constants(k). Vibration constants were also analyzed in terms of compressive strength of rock and blasting patterns.

  • This research is about executing the suitability evaluation of the data through wireless communication system in comparison with the data through the wire system used in National Highway Traffic Management System. The communication system for the evaluation was established on Peoyngteak-Anjung section(about 19 Km) at Route 38 in southern National Highway of the National Capital region where image detectors with the communication by wire were set up. In the situation, the comparison of the data transmission rates between the wire system and the proposed system was accomplished. Before we evaluate the possibility of application about the proposed system, the elements of wireless systems performed the spot investigations. Traffic data transmission test among the equipments was accomplished on the section of the Route 38 where wireless communication equipments were set up. And then, the test of traffic data transmission between the field equipment and the data collective center of wireless communication system was carried out. It evaluated the reliability of wireless communication data for the suitability evaluation of cable/wireless data collected while 73 days.

  • This research, which was started with a need for constant monitoring to find out urban societies and spacial effects by urban railway after the opening, was intended to empirically explore urban and social changes by the opening of Daejeon City metro line 1st which would greatly affect the spacial structure of the city. For this goal, we expected the effect of urban subway on the city with academic consideration and precedent study. Monitoring results of the subway station areas of Daejeon City metro line 1st showed the opening of urban railway had an influence on the flow of urban plan and urban space structure through population, land use, total-developing areas, and land price change. In other words, as urban railway opens the number of population and population activities centered on the subway station areas, and these movements led to the expansion of the commercial areas. Finally, they caused the average land prices to rise. Likewise, urban monitering is significantly useful comprehending the generally time-periodic changes of cities and even conceiving the present cities.

  • Traffic demand is continuously increasing due to the development of urban areas in Korea. To cope with this, many efforts have been done including constructions of new roadways and increasing the number of lanes of the existing roadways. Those efforts, however, have been performed for only a short segment of target links having similar traffic characteristics. As a result, most urban cities experience bottle-neck phenomena which lead decreasing flow speed and increasing possibilities of accidents. Thus, this study aims to analyze problems of bottle-neck phenomena and effects of balancing number of lanes along the same corridor having similar traffic characteristics. For this, Route 32 passing the city of Daejeon in Korea has been selected as a case study, and a micro-simulation tool, VISSIM, has been adopted for the analysis. The results show that balanced number of lanes along the same corridor with similar traffic characteristics can increase flow speeds and enhance safety.

A study on establishment of measurement and analysis frequency of maintenance monitoring in tunnel (터널 유지관리계측의 측정 및 분석주기 설정 연구)

  • In this study, research was performed to establish the measurement and frequency of analysis for maintenance monitoring by investigation of tunnel maintenance monitoring system in the tunnel which was installed in the Seoul metro line 5, 7 and 8, using that the domestic and foreign application case, results of analyzed maintenance monitoring in the domestic tunnel and legal safety management standard of the facility. The results of the monitoring management about analysis frequency to the present are considered that the problem about measuring frequency does not occur. According to the analysis results of the maintenance monitoring which are located on the 5, 6th subway line, they are analyzed that the stress of concrete lining and reinforced bar are converged gradually after 45 months. Therefore Monitoring of measurement and analysis frequency is conduct more often within about 4 years after the measuring instrument installation. Four years later, slowing the frequency of measurement is considered reasonable.
