Seismic Fragility of Underground Utility Tunnels (지하 공동구 시설물의 지진취약도 분석)

  • Damage of infrastructures by an earthquake causes the secondary damage through the world at large more than the damage of the structures themselves. Amomg them, underground utility tunnel structures comes under the special life line: communication, gas, electricity and etc. and it has a need to evaluate its fragility to an earthquake exactly. Therefore, the destruction ability according to peak ground acceleration of earthquakes for the underground utility tunnels is evaluated in this paper. As an input ground motion for evaluating seismic fragilities, real earthquakes and artificial seismic waves which could be generated in the Korean peninsula are used. And as a seismic analysis method, response displacement method and time history analyzing method are used. An limit state which determines whether destruction is based on the bending moment and shear deformation. A method used to deduct seismic fragility curve is method of maximum likelihood and the distribution function is assumed to the log normal distribution. It could evaluate the damage of underground utility tunnels to an earthquake and could be applied as basic data for seismic design of underground utility tunnel structures.

액화석유가스(LPG) 지하저장기지에서의 TSP(Tunnel Seismic Prediction)탐사

  • A TSP(Tunnel Seismic Prediction) survey which is modified VSP(Vertical Seismic Profiling) survey applied in tunnel was carried out at Pyongtaek and Incheon liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) storage cavern during excavation. The TSP survey in Pyongtaek LPG storage cavern which is located below Namyangho was performed to confirm the location and orientation of the fault detected at pre-investigation stage. The TSP survey was carried out in access tunnel, construction tunnel, and watercurtain tunnel to characterize 3 dimensional figure of the fault. The results of TSP survey are compared four in vestigation boreholes drilled in shelter of access tunnel. The fault was also detected by borehole survey and the location was coincided with the result of TSP survey. Depending on the result of TSP survey and core logging, the design such as cavern layout and length was changed. Another TSP survey was performed in Incheon LPG storage cavern which is located below sea. Because of poor geological information at pre-investigation stage and suffering from heavy leakage of groundwater, the TSP survey to detect fracture zone was carried out. The support and grouting design was reflected by the result of TSP survey.

Higher-order Shear Deformable Analysis of Laminated Plates on Two-parameter Elastic Foundations (Two-parameter 탄성지반위에 놓인 고차전단변형 적층판의 해석)

  • The main purpose of this paper is to present deflections of laminated composite plates on the two-parameter foundations. that is an elastic foundation with shear layer. This paper focuses on the deformation behaviour of anisotropic structures on elastic foundations. The third-order shear deformation theory is applied by using the double-fourier series. To validate the derived equations the obtained displacements for simply supported isotropic and orthotropic plates on elastic foundations are compared with those of Timoshenko and LUSAS program. The results show an excellent agreement for the isotropic and LUSAS program. The results show an excellent agreement for the isotropic and orthotropic plates on the elastic foundations. Numerical results for displacements are presented to show the effects of side-to-thickness ratio aspect ratio, material anisotropy and shear modulus of foundations.

  • As ship-based tourism increases, safe sailing and management are necessary to prevent maritime accidents. Because external rescue support cannot arrive rapidly in the case of ship-related accidents, the initial response is very important for damage minimization. Further, for secondary damage prevention, it is necessary to accurately determine passenger positions. In this paper, considering the characteristics of a ship, the enhanced-Zigbee(e-Zigbee) position determination technology (PDT) is applied, which improved upon the Zigbee PDT by having advantages such as low power consumption and smaller size. According to user needs, a low-cost and high-precision passenger positioning tag and access point(AP) is provided. A ship testbed that yields improved positioning accuracy based on a performance evaluation is constructed.

TENSILE STRENGTH OF DIRECT-BONDING BRACKETS (Direct-bonding bracket 의 인장강도(引張?度))

  • As adhesive systems were improved, a great variety of bracket bases were available. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the adhesive porperties of 3 types of direct-bonding brackets by testing the tensile stremgth. 60 noncarious premolars extracted for orthodontic treatment were used. The tensile strength was tested by Tensilon/UTM-1-10000C after 24 hours from bonding. Following results were obtained; There was no difference between the tensile strength of foil-mesh base bracket and photoetched base bracket statisstically. However, the accurate test result of plastic bracket could not be obtained due to the distortion of bracket wing during testing. Of the failure in fail-mesh base bracket and photo-etched base bracket, the combination type of failure, where part of the adhesive remained on the tooth and part on the bracket was the most common type (50%, 50%), The second type of failure occured at the bracket-adhesive interface (30%, 35%) and the last type of failure occured at the adhesive-tooth interface (20%, 15%).

  • 치의학 분야에서 디지탈 근적외선 체열측정 장치(digital infrared thermographic imaging; DITI)의 응용이 미미한 것은 과거 열측정장치의 기술력이 부족한 것이 주된 요인이었다. 그러나 최근들어 기술이 진보함에 따라 실시간 열영상을 재현할 수 있게 되었고 이는 치의학 및 의학계에 많은 관심을 일으키고 있다. 지금까지의 연구를 보면 두개하악장애시 구강영역의 온도변화의 임상적 효용 가능성을 제시하였으나 안면 및 두경부에 대한 실제 기기 및 측정방법의 신뢰도에 대한 연구는 이루어지지 못한 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 DITI에 대한 신뢰도를 조사하였다. DITI의 모니터 상에서 비활동성 발통점의 부위를 찾아내기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 모니터상에서 안면발통점(joint, temporalis anterior, masseter anterior, masseter inferior)의 부위를 찾아 온도를 찾아내는 방법과 미리 발통점 피부상에 링모양의 마크를 부착하여 모니터상에서 쉽게 찾아내는 방법을 사용하여 신뢰도를 조사하여 비교한 결과 다음과 같다. 1. 조사한 발통점 중에서 temporalis anterior, joint, masseter anterior과 masseter inferior의 순서로 피부온도가 유의하게 온도가 높았으나(p<0.05) masseter 내에서는 유의한 차이를 보여주지 않았다. 2. 4개의 발통점 모두에서 높은 열적 대칭성을 보였으며, 좌우 온도차이는 $0.1^{\circ}C$미만이었다. 3. 다른 시기에 조사한 조사자내 신뢰도는 두 조사자 모두 높은 상관관계를 보여주지 않았으며 대조군과 마크를 사용한 군간에는 뚜렷한 차이를 볼 수 없었다. 4. 동일한 시기에 조사한 조사자간 신뢰도는 두 시기 모두 joint 부위의 일부를 제외하고 높은 상관관계를 보여주었으며, 마크를 사용한 경우 사용하지 않은 경우 보다 훨씬 신뢰도가 높은 상관관계를 나타내었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 DITI는 두개하악장애환자에 대한 두경부 발통점의 온도변화를 측정하는 데 있어 시간에 따른 신뢰도는 결여되었으나 동일 시기의 측정에는 매우 유익할 것으로 사료되며, 특히 발통점에 대한 표시를 사용하는 경우 매우 정확한 온도를 조사할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

한강유역의 3개보(강천보, 여주보, 이포보)건설로 인한 남한강 유역의 공사 전.후의 수리 분석

  • 정부에서 기후변화로 인한 홍수와 가뭄, 수질개선 등 물 문제 해결을 위해 시행하고 있는 4대 강사업을 아직도 언론이나 환경단체, 대다수의 국민들이 보 건설로 인해 홍수의 위험성이 높아지고, 수질이 악화되어 생태계와 생명이 파괴된다고 오해하고 있다. 이런 오해를 불식시키기 위해 남한강유역의 보 건설 공사 전 후의 발생 가능한 수리변화 예측을 통하여 4대강사업에 따른 수리 수질 논란에 대비하고, 기존의 수위-유량 곡선식 및 홍수분석시스템 변화에 따른 개선을 통하여 보 건설 후 댐과 보의 운영시 각 보 지점의 수리분석을 통해 적절한 방류 규모, 시기를 결정하고 하류영향을 효과적으로 분석하는 등 환경변화에 대한 사전 대책마련을 위해 EFDC 모형을 구축하였다. 본 연구는 한강유역의 팔당댐을 기준으로 북한강 10km, 경안천 10km, 남한강 65km 구간의 공사 전 후 수위변화를 분석하기위해 남한강 유역의 2006년도부터 2010년까지의 여주, 이포, 양평 수위국의 최고수위 기간을 조사하여, 최고기간인 2006년 7월 15일부터 17일에 발생한 태풍 에위니아의 첨두유량(13,022CMS)을 사용하였고, 하천단면 측량자료는 2010년에 실시한 보 공사구간 횡단면도와 준설 후 계획 횡단면도와 과거 측량자료를 이용하였고, 총 3,794개의 격자망을 평균 $200m\times80m$ 간격으로 구성하여 3차원 수리/수질 모델 프로그램인 EFDC를 사용하여 수리모델링을 실시하여 보 건설 전 후의 수위변화를 모델링 하였다. 모델링 결과 남한강 상류인 강천보 지점의 수위 저감효과가 최대 2.0m로 가장 큰 효과를 보였으며, 상대적으로 남한강의 하류인 여주보 지점은 최대 1.5m, 이포보 지점은 상대적으로 작은 1.0m 정도의 수위 저감효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 이포보 하류의 양평수위국 지점과 북한강, 남한강, 경안천이 합류되는 팔당댐 상류 지점의 경우 모델링 결과 공사 전 후 수위 차이가 없는 것으로 보아 보 건설이 남한강 하류 지점에는 큰 영향을 끼치지 않는 것으로 판단된다. 이처럼 EFDC 모형을 이용하여 정밀 수리모형 검토를 통해 수위변화를 비교해 본 결과 지점별로 약간의 차이는 발생하지만 보 건설을 통하여 수위 저감효과가 발생하는 것으로 판단된다. 보다 정확한 검토를 위해 추후에는 남한강 상류의 강천수위국 상류지점의 검토와 남한강유역의 지류 유입량을 추가하여 모델링을 실시하면 보다 더 정밀한 분석이 가능할 것이라고 판단된다.

Robust Speed Control of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor using a Fuzzy Logic Controller (퍼지제어기를 이용한 영구자석 동기전동기의 강인한 속도제어)

  • This paper proposes a new fuzzy speed controller based on the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy method to achieve a robust speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The proposed controller requires the information of the load torque, so the second-order load torque observer is used to estimate it. The LMI condition is derived for the existence of the proposed fuzzy speed controller, and the gains of the controller are provided. It is proven that the augmented control system including the fuzzy speed controller and the load torque observer is exponentially stable. To evaluate the performance of the proposed fuzzy speed controller, the simulation and experimental results are presented under motor parameter variations. Finally, it is clearly verified that the proposed control method can accurately control the speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor.

Classification of Clothing Using Googlenet Deep Learning and IoT based on Artificial Intelligence (인공지능 기반 구글넷 딥러닝과 IoT를 이용한 의류 분류)

  • Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of things (IoT), which are represented by machine learning and deep learning among IT technologies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, are applied to our real life in various fields through various researches. In this paper, IoT and AI using object recognition technology are applied to classify clothing. For this purpose, the image dataset was taken using webcam and raspberry pi, and GoogLeNet, a convolutional neural network artificial intelligence network, was applied to transfer the photographed image data. The clothing image dataset was classified into two categories (shirtwaist, trousers): 900 clean images, 900 loss images, and total 1800 images. The classification measurement results showed that the accuracy of the clean clothing image was about 97.78%. In conclusion, the study confirmed the applicability of other objects using artificial intelligence networks on the Internet of Things based platform through the measurement results and the supplementation of more image data in the future.

A Nonlinear Finite Element Formulation for Very Large Deformation based on Updated Material Reference Frame (변화되는 재료의 기준 물성치에 근거한 매우 큰 변화에 대한 비선형 유한요소의 정식화)

  • A nonlinear finite element formulation which has the capability of handling very large geometrical changes is presented. The formulation is based on an updated material reference frame and hence true stress-strain test can be directly applied to properly characterize properties of materials which are subjected to very large deformation. For the large deformation, a consistent formulation based on the continuum mechanics approach is derived. The kinematics is referred to an updated material frame. Body equilibrium is also established in an updated geometry and the second Piola-Kirchhoff stress and the updated Lagrangian strain tensor are used in the formulation. Numerical examples for very large deformation of framed structures and plane solids are analyzed for verification purposes. The numerical solutions are obtained by an incremental numerical procedure. The importance of handing material properties properly is also demonstrated.
