Development of Cam Die for Processing Four Lateral Switch Box (스위치 박스 4측면 가공용 캠금형 개발)

  • A switch box is metal box for electric wire pipes in building. In manufacturing this box, the first press is used to mold and the second to fifth presses are used to process four-sides of a box. So four presses, four molds and four workers are needed. This leads to raise the manufacturing cost including machine lease rent, molding fee, and wages. To make matters worse, the roaring sound, vibration, and dangers of safety accidents make employees avoid from working that job. To solve this problem, a new Handling Mechanism and a cam die which combined four-die-involving processes into one die process were developed. That results job automation of the Job with one press and one die. The job avoidance problem is solved and manufacturing cost is reduced as well.

Effects of Paper Mill Sludge-Fertilizer Application on the Growth Performances of Tree Seedlings (제지(製紙)슬러지 가공비료(加工肥料)의 시용(施用)이 수묘(樹苗)의 생육(生育)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • Effects of paper mill sludge-fertilizers were investigated on the growth performances of tree seedlings under field conditions. Two types of sludge-fertilizers applied were an organic sludge compost and a processed sludge-pellet fertilizer strengthened with several components of organic and inorganic nutrients. Three species of tree seedlings studied were ibota privet(Ligustrum obtusifolium) and yellow poplar(Liriodendron tulipifera) of 1-0 year seedlings and also eastern white pine(Pinus strobus) of 2-2 year seedlings. Nitrogen and phosphorus contents of plot soil treated with sludge compost+sludge-pellet fertilizer+sludge-pellet fertilizer plot were increased to 8 times and 2.6 times as those of control plot, respectively. The growth performances of root collar diameter and seedling height were repeatedly measured up to five times through the growing season and the results were analyzed statistically by analysis of variance of randomized block design and Duncan's multiple range test. The growth performances of dry weight were measured after last fifth measurements.

  • Effects of powder sintering and 2nd, pressing on the superconducting characteristics in the (Bi,Pb)SrCaCuO system have been studied. The sample prepared by the powder sintering process had a porous microstructure with a $T_c$ below 77 K, while the sample prepared by 2nd. pressing process had highly oriented microstructure with a $T_c$ above 100 K. The critical current density($J_c$) was relatively improved in the sample prepared by the 2nd. pressing process. But the value of $J_c$ is cosiderably low in practical use.

Early Tailoring Thoracoplasty in Patients Undergoing Pulmonary Resection (폐의 부분 절제시 조기 변형식 흉곽성형술의 임상적 의의)

  • Tailoring thoracoplasty is employed prior to, following, or concomitant with pulmonary resection when it is anticipated that insufHclent lung tissue will remain to fill the pleural space following a pulmonary resection. This study reviewed a series of eight patients treated with tailoring thoracoplasty between 1990 and 1995. Indications were to close a persistent space In four patients and to tailor the thoracic cavity to accept diminished lung volume concomitant with a pulmonary resection in the other four patients. The primary underlying disease was lung cancer in three patients and pulmonary tuberculosis In five patients, two of whom had concomitant aspcrgilloma, two, pneumothora , and one, empyema with bronchopleural fistula. In four patients with a prior pulmonary resection, the tailoring thoracoplasty was performed within eight days after the resection surgery. There was no failure to accommodate the thoracic cavity to insufficient lung tissue, even though two patients needed a second thoracoplasty. We conclude that tailoring thoracoplasty may be performed to close anticipated persistent pleural space and to accommodate diminished lung volume with acceptable cosmetic results Early, after, or concomitant with pulmonary resection in selected patients.

Properties of Amaranth Flour Processed by Various Methods (다양한 방법으로 가공처리한 아마란스 가루의 특성)

  • Processed foods were developed using amaranth starch and flours. Amaranth seeds were untreated (UT), defatted (DF), germinated (GM), roasted (RT), popped (POP), and extruded (EX1 and EX2). Amaranth flours showed A-type pattern on X-ray diffractograms, while crystallinity was not observed in POP, EX1, and EX2. POP and EX1 showed highest (740.3%) and lowest (38.5%) water-binding capacities, respectively. Transmittances of RT, POP, EX1, and EX2 flour suspensions were higher than those of others. Transmittance of amaranth starch and flours differed with processing methods. RT, POP, EX1, and EX2 showed higher transmittance at $60^{\circ}C$. Initial pasting temperature of amaranth flours by RVA were $68.1-73.0^{\circ}C$, and peak viscosities of GM and RT were 31.6 and 401.1 RVU, respectively. Melting endotherms of POP, EX1, and EX2 were not observed in DSC thermograms.

  • 국제적으로 에너지 고갈에 대한 문제점과 환경적은 측면에서 대체 에너지 개발에 대한 관심이 뜨거워 지고 있는 지금 그중에서 에너지 하베스팅에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다 에너지 하베스팅 이란 "자연에서 버려지는 에너지를 수확하여 저장하는 기술" 이며 에너지 하베스팅 방법으로는 태양광을 이용한 태양광발전, 기계적인 운동과 전자기적 현상을 이용한 발전 등이 있다. 태양광발전 같은 경우에 흐린날 이나 실내에서는 사용 할 수 없는 반면 날씨와 관계없는 진동의 기계적 에너지를 전기적 에너지로 변환 할 수 있는 압전 세라믹스를 이용한 에너지 하베스팅의 연구가 이루어 지고 있다. 에너지 하베스팅을 하기 위한 여러 가지 type의 소자가 있지만, 본 논문에서는 무연 압전 세라믹스를 이용한 cantilever type의 실험을 진행하였으며 에너지 하베스팅 시스템에서 핵심이 되는 것은 압전 세라믹스의 성능이므로 비교적 높은 $d_{33}$$g_{33}$를 가진 소자를 선정하였다. 압전 세라믹스를 이용한 에너지 하베스팅의 장점으로 소형 경량으로 이용할 수 있는 범의가 넓으며 진동 또는 충격을 효과적인 방법으로 에너지로 변환할수 있다. 실험 과정으로 KNNS에 CuO를 첨가하여 1차 밀링후 $Ag_2O$를 첨가하여 2차밀링 하여 $900^{\circ}C$ 하소 cantilever type으로 성형 후 $1080^{\circ}C$ 소성을 하여 세라믹스를 제작하여 그에대한 발전 특성을 조사하였다.

  • In this study, structural design and analysis of the automobile bonnet is performed. The flax/vinly ester composite material is applied for structural design. The Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding-Light (VARTML) manufacturing method is adopted for manufacturing the flax fiber composite bonnet. The VARTML is a manufacturing process that the resin is injected into the fly layered-up fibers enclosed by a rigid mold tool under vacuum. A series of flax/vinyl ester composite panels are manufactured, and several kinds of specimens cut out from the panels are tested to obtain mechanical performance data. Based on this, structural design of the automobile bonnet is performed.

  • Cu2ZnSnSe4는 CIS 태양전지의 In 대체 물질계로 주목을 받고 있는 저가형 태양전지 재료로 장차 차세대 태양전지 재료로 응용이 기대되고 있다. 그러나 에너지 밴드갭이 0.9~1.1eV로 다소 낮아 태양전지 광흡수층 재료로 사용하기 위해서는 wide band gab화 처리가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 CZTSe에 S를 첨가하여 에너지 밴드갭을 확장하고자 하며, S의 첨가가 CZTSe 박막의 특성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 조사하였다. 실험의 편의성을 도모하고자 펄스레이저 법을 사용하여 증착하였다. 박막 조성 제어에는 Cu, Zn, Sn, Se, S 분말을 볼밀로 분쇄, 혼합하여 균질 혼합상 프리커서를 제조하고 이를 Cold Isostatic Press(CIP) 성형하여 Source target을 사용하였다. Pulsed YAG-Laser를 사용하여 soda lime glass상에 증착하고 조성, 구조, 조직을 관찰하고 에너지 밴드갭, 광흡수계수, 면저항, 전하밀도 등 특성을 조사하였다.

  • Kinetic studies were carried out on urethane polymerization reaction of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene with isophorone diisocyanate under presence of Hexogen as solid additive. The rate was found to increase with the amount of Hexogen added. However the rate acceleration was not a catalytic effect but solely due to an increase of activation entropy. The reaction was a good 2nd order process with nearly constant activation energy of 8.4 kcal/mole.

  • Aluminum can to can recycling was divided into two stpes. The first step was composed of the processes such as collection of used beverage cans (UBC), shredding, magnetic separation, De-laquiring, melting and casting. The second one was remelting and casting, heat treating, hot and cold rolling, annealing, and can making. In this study, the effect of alloying elements on the microstructure and texture of the secondary ingots made by Al UBC was investigated. In aluminum can to can recycling, the second phase particles appeared in the solidification stage must be controlled by heat treatment. The optimum heat treatment condition was $615^{\circ}C$ for 5hrs. the texture in hot rolled sheet was depressed with increasing Mn content, on the other hand, Si and Fe elements promoted the texture development. The textures of can-body sheet should be controlled in the hot rolling and annealing stage because can was formed from cold rolled sheet without heat treatment.
