균일예혼합 압축착화 조건에서 PRF75 연료의 비정상 연소특성 해석 (Unsteady Analysis for Combustion Characteristics of PRF75 Fuel under HCCI Conditions)

  • HCCI engines have mainly focused on achieving low temperature combustion in order to obtain higher efficiency and lower emission. One of practical difficulties in HCCI combustion is to control the start of combustion and subsequent combustion phasing. The choice of primary reference fuels in HCCI strategy is one of various promising solutions to make HCCI combustion ignition-controlled. The behavior of ignition delay to the frequency variation of sinusoidal velocity oscillation is computationally investigated under HCCI conditions of PRF75 using a reduced chemistry in a counterflow configuration. The second-stage ignition is more delayed as the higher frequency is imposed on nozzle velocity fluctuation whereas the first-stage ignition is not much influenced.

  • Eu(III)과 말단에 중성의 O, N 및 S 주게를 포함한 다가 단일 카르복실산 (glycolic acid, glycine 그리고 thioglycolic acid) 및 단일 카르복실산(propionic acid)과의 착화합물을 Eu(III)의 $^7F_0{\rarw}^5D_0$ 전이를 이용한 여기 스펙트럼으로 관찰하였다. 단일 카르복실산인 propionate결합된 Eu(III) 착화합물의 여기 스펙트럼에서 금속 대 리간느 농도를 증가시킴에 따라 $EuL^{2+},\;EuL_2^+$ 그리고 $Eu:_3$(L: 카르복실기)의 착화합종에 해당하는 최대 피크가 각각 579.0, 579.2 그리고 579.5 nm 에서 나타났다. Eu(III)과 다가 단일 카르복실산 착물도 금속 대 리간드 농도를 증가시킬때, Eu(III)-propionate와 유사한 결과가 얻어졌다. Eu(III)착화합물의 발광 붕괴 상수로부터 얻어진 q값(Eu(III)에 배위된 물분자의 수)도 Eu(III)-glycolate가 7.0, Eu(III)-thioglycolate가 7.1로 Eu(III)-propionate의 7.3과 유사하게 약 2개의 물분자가 하나의 카르복실기에 의해 치환된 값으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 다가 단일 카르복실산들은 propionic acid와 유사한 경향으로 Eu(III)과 착물을 형성한다는 것을 나타낸다.

연료조성에 따른 HCCI 엔진의 냉염 및 열염의 2단연소 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Two Stage Ignition of Cool Flame and Hot Flame in HCCI Engine According to Fuel Composition)

  • As the environmental pollution becomes serious global problem, the regulation of emission exhausted from automobiles is strengthened. Therefore, it is very important to know how to reduce the NOx and PM simultaneously in diesel engines, which has lot of merits such as high thermal efficiency, low fuel consumption and durability. By this reason, the new concept called as Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition(HCCI) engines are spotlighted because this concept reduced NOx and P.M. simultaneously. However, it is well known that HCCI engines increased HC and CO. Thus, the investigation of combustion characteristics which consists cool and hot flames for HCCI engines were needed to obtain the optimal combustion condition. In this study, combustion characteristics for direct injection type HCCI engine such as quantity of cool flame and hot flame, ignition timing and ignition delay were investigated to clarify the effects of these parameters on performance. The results revealed that diesel combustion showed the two-stage ignition of cool flame and hot flame, the rate of cool flame increase and hot flame decrease with increasing intake air temperature. On the other hand, the gasoline combustion is the single-stage ignition and ignition timing is near the TDC. In addition mixed fuel combustion showed different phenomenon, which depends on the ratio of gasoline component. Ignition timing of mixed fuel is retarded near the TDC and the ignition delay is increased according to ratio of gasoline.

  • 구리 이온은 -0.40V (vs. SCE)에서 전기화학적 환원이 일어나는 반면, 니켈 이온은 -1.19V (vs. SCE)에서 전착이 발생한다. 따라서, 단일 도금욕조 내에서 Ni-Cu 합금도금층을 제조하기 위해서는 두 금속 이온종 간의 전위차를 줄여주어야 하는데, 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 $Na_3C_6H_5O_7{\cdot}2H_2O$를 착화제로 사용하였다. 다양한 Ni-Cu 합금 도금층의 조성을 얻기 위하여 기본 도금욕 내 황산니켈과 황산구리의 비율을 10:1로 설정하였다. 도금 공정 조건에 따른 합금 도금층 조성 변화를 관찰하기 위하여 도금액 pH와 교반 속도에 따른 도금층 조성 변화를 분석하였으며, 도금액의 UV-VIS과 도금층의 XRD 와 SEM 측정을 통하여 도금욕과 도금층 간의 상관 관계를 유추하였다. 본 도금액에 사용된 $Na_3C_6H_5O_7{\cdot}2H_2O$ 착화제의 효과는 pH3에서 가장 현저하였으며, pH 변화 및 교반 속도 변화를 이용하여 다양한 합금 조성을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Currently, due to the serious world-wide air pollution by substances emitted from vehicles, emission control is enforced more firmly and it is expected that the regulation requirements for emission will become more severe. A new concept combustion technology that can reduce the NOx and PM in relation to combustion is urgently required. Due to such social requirement, technologically advanced countries are making efforts to develop an environment-friendly vehicle engine at the nation-wide level in order to respond to the reinforced emission control. As a core combustion technology among new combustion technologies for the next generation engine, the homogenous charge compression ignition(HCCI) is expanding its application range by adopting multiple combustion mode, catalyst, direct fuel injection and partially premixed combustion. This study used a 2-staged injection method in order to apply the HCCI combustion method without significantly altering engine specifications in the aspect of multiple combustion mode and practicality by referring to the results of studies on the HCCI engine. In addition, this study confirmed the possibility of securing optimum fuel economy emission reduction in the IMEP 8bar range(which could not be achieved with existing partially premixed combustion) through forced charging, exhaust gas recirculation(EGR), compression ratio change and application of DOC catalyst.

  • HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) combustion has a great advantage in reducing NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) and PM (Particulate Matter) by lowering the combustion temperature due to spontaneous ignitions at multiple sites in a very lean combustible mixture. However, it is difficult to make a diesel-fuelled HCCI possible because of a poor vaporability of the fuel. To resolve this problem, the two-stage injection strategy was introduced to promote the ignition of the extremely early injected fuel. The compression ratio and air-fuel ratio were found to affect not only the ignition, but also control the combustion phase without a need for the intake-heating or EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation). The ignition timing could be controlled even at a higher compression ratio with increased IMEP (Indicated Mean Effective Pressure). The NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) emission level could be reduced by more than 90 % compared with that in a conventional DI (Direct Injection) diesel combustion mode, but the increase of PM and HC (Hydrocarbon) emissions due to over-penetration of spray still needs to be resolved.

제염용액내 유기산이 금속이온 이온교환에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Organic Acids in Decontamination Solution on Ion Exchange of Metal Ions)

  • 원자로 냉각계통의 방사성 오염물질을 제거하기 위한 제염공정에서 유기산에 용해된 금속이온들은 이온교환 수지를 통과하면서 제거된다. 그러나 제염용액내 유기산들은 용액내 금속이온과 착화합물을 형성하여 이온교환수지에 대한 친화도를 감소시킨다. 이같은 관점에서 착화합물 형성이 이온교환공정에 미치는 영향 해석을 위해 코발트와 철 이온을 대상으로 Amberlite IRN-77 양이온수지와의 이온교환실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과에서 화학제염제로 사용된 유기산 가운데 EDTA는 철 이온보다 코발트 이온과 강한 착화합물을 형성하여 코발트 이온의 수지에 대한 이온교환용량을 현저히 감소시켜 주는 성분으로 나타났다. 반면에, Oxalic Acide와 Citric Acide의 영향은 미미하였다. 또한, 실험결과로부터 이들 금속이온 들에 대한 단일 성분계 및 2성분계 비선형 평형식을 결정하였다.

  • In this study, combustion characteristics and various performances of a Diesel fuel DI-HCCI engine using 2-stage injection method were investigated. From these researches, application ability of 2-stage injection strategy to a DI-HCCI engine was confirmed and improvement methods of performances were considered. As the results, Using 2-stage injection method, without change of engine specifications and loss of IMEP, exhaust of NOx and Smoke emissions could be reduced to about 1/3 (at 1400rpm, IMEP 6bar) compared to conventional Diesel combustion.

However, there is trade off between output and NOx in a HCCI engine. In this study, output and emission characteristics for a gasoline direct injection type HCCI engine were investigated to clarify the effects of intake air temperature, injection time and mixture formation. From these experiments, we found that the smoke was not produced when the fuel was injected earlier than BTDC 90$^{\circ}$. In addition, the output was increased because of delay of ignition time and NOx emission was decreased because of homogeneous charge of first injection in case of split injection.

  • It is well known that Premixed Charge Compression Ignition (PCCI) diesel engines according to many technologies such a change in injection timing, multiple injection strategy, cooled EGR, intake charging and SCV have the potential to achieve homogeneous mixture in the cylinder which result in lower NOx and PM as well as performance improvements. This may generate merely the infinite number of experimental conditions. The use of Response Surface Methodology (RSM) technique can considerably pull down the number of experimental set and time demand. This paper presents the effects of both fuel injection and engine operation conditions on the combustion and emissions in the PCCI diesel engine system. The experimental results have revealed that a change in fuel injection timing and multiple injection strategy along with various operating conditions affect the combustion, emissions and BSFC characteristics in the PCCI engine.
