선박용 디젤기관의 재킷 냉각청수시스템 성능 비교에 관한 연구 (A study on performance comparison of jacket cooling fresh water system for marine diesel engine)

  • 2008년 금융위기로 인하여 세계 경제가 어려워지면서 국제 유가 상승과 물동량이 감소하였으며, 대다수의 대형선사들은 차선책으로 대형선박 발주, 항로변경 및 운항방식 등을 개선하여 적자폭을 줄이게 되었다. 특히, 저속 운항 방식은 눈에 띄는 연료비 절감으로 많은 선주사들로부터 호응을 얻었으나 장기간 저속 운전시 고속 운전에 최적화된 주기관의 재킷 청수 냉각시스템은 정상 운전온도를 유지하지 못하고 하강하여 저온부식의 발생을 가속화 하게 되었다. 이로 인해 엔진의 부하가 낮을 경우 기존에 설치되는 재킷 냉각수 냉각기의 역할은 감소하고 조수기의 사용도 제한이 됨으로 재킷 청수 냉각 시스템의 개선이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 선박의 저속운항에 따른 선박용 디젤 주기관의 냉각시스템 개선 사항을 검토하기 위하여, 파나막스급 산적화물선인 82k와 케이프급 산적화물선 180k 선박들을 대상으로 주기관 재킷 냉각수 냉각기를 설치 및 미설치하여 주기관 청수 냉각 시스템의 성능 결과를 검토 및 비교 분석 하여, 현 저속 운항선박에 탑재되는 주기관의 성능변화에 적절한 냉각시스템의 설계 개선방안을 제안하였다.

등유 개질가스를 이용한 고체산화물 연료전지 스택의 시스템 구성과 운영 (System configuration and operation for Kerosene-driven SOFC stack)

  • Kerosene-driven solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system with reformer, desulfurizer and after-burner was mainly developed for this study. Originally the system was developed for 1kW class SOFC system for residential power generation (RPG) application. As a preliminary study of 1kW class SOFC system operation, a short stack was applied to the system. The short stack consists of 7 cells of $10cm{\times}10cm$ area and was operated at $720^{\circ}C$. The effect of anode inlet gas composition to stack performance was investigated. Firstly, I-V characteristics of SOFC with different fuel of kerosene and hydrogen were studied. Secondly $CH_4$ internal reforming was performed at various anode inlet gas compositions of $H_2$, $CH_4$ and $H_2O$. Through these experiments the effects of each anode inlet gas component to stack performance were analyzed and the significant operating parameters were iscussed.

  • This paper aims to investigate characterizations on parameters k1, k2, k3, k4, k5, l1, l2, l3, and l4 to find relation between the class of 𝓗(k, l, m, n, o) hypergeometric functions defined by $$5_F_4\[{\array{k_1,\;k_2,\;k_3,\;k_4,\;k_5\\l_1,\;l_2,\;l_3,\;l_4}}\;:\;z\]=\sum\limits_{n=2}^{\infty}\frac{(k_1)_n(k_2)_n(k_3)_n(k_4)_n(k_5)_n}{(l_1)_n(l_2)_n(l_3)_n(l_4)_n(1)_n}z^n$$. We need to find k, l, m and n that lead to the necessary and sufficient condition for the function zF([W]), G = z(2 - F([W])) and $H_1[W]=z^2{\frac{d}{dz}}(ln(z)-h(z))$ to be in 𝓢*(2-r), r is a positive integer in the open unit disc 𝒟 = {z : |z| < 1, z ∈ ℂ} with $$h(z)=\sum\limits_{n=0}^{\infty}\frac{(k)_n(l)_n(m)_n(n)_n(1+\frac{k}{2})_n}{(\frac{k}{2})_n(1+k-l)_n(1+k-m)_n(1+k-n)_nn(1)_n}z^n$$ and $$[W]=\[{\array{k,\;1+{\frac{k}{2}},\;l,\;m,\;n\\{\frac{k}{2}},\;1+k-l,\;1+k-m,\;1+k-n}}\;:\;z\]$$.

2.5 kW 급 프로펠러형 마이크로 수차 매개변수 연구 (Parametric Study of 2.5 kW Class Propeller Type Micro Hydraulic Turbine)

  • A parametric study of a 2.5 kW class propeller type micro hydraulic turbine was performed. In order to analyze the internal flow characteristics in the hydraulic turbine, three dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with shear stress transport turbulence model were used and the hexahedral grid system was used to construct computational domain. To secure the reliability of the numerical analysis, the grid dependency test was performed using the grid convergence index method based on the Richardson extrapolation, and the grid dependency was removed when about 1.7 million nodes were used. For the parametric study, the axial distance at shroud span (L) between the inlet guide vane and the runner, and the inlet and outlet blade angles (β1, β2) of the runner were selected as the geometric parameters. The inlet and outlet angles of the runner were defined in the 3 spans from the hub to tip, and a total of 7 geometric parameters were investigated. It was confirmed that the outlet angles of the runner had the most sensitive effect on the power and efficiency of the micro hydraulic turbine.

10 kW급 수직축 풍력터빈에 대한 구조물 동적응답 계측 및 분석 (Dynamic Response Measurements and Analysis on a 10 kW Class Vertical Axis Wind Turbine)

  • The dynamic characteristics including natural frequencies and excitation frequencies are evaluated for a small 10 kW vertical axis wind turbine. Acceleration responses were measured at 12 distributed locations for impact vibration tests, ambient vibration tests during non-operational and operational conditions, and braking tests during operational condition. The natural frequencies for the lowest 2 bending modes and the first torsional mode were estimated and also the excitation frequencies, i.e. 1P, 2P, 4P, were also estimated according to the rotational speed using the responses under operational conditions (i.e. power generation condition).

20kW급 폐열회수 시스템 공정 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Engineering Design for 20kW-Grade Waste Gas Heat Recovery)

  • This study is collects design data through the process design of the organic Rankine cycle, which can produce 20kW of electric power through the recovery of waste heat. In this study, the simulation was conducted by using APSEN HYSYS in order to make the model for the process design of the 20kW class waste heat recovery system. For the thermodynamic model, the test was conducted with hot water as the heat source, with the water steam used as the cooling water for the cooler and the refrigerant R245fa in the cycle. In Case 1 and Case 2, it was expected and found that the cycle efficiency was 10.6% and that 36.86kw was produced, considering the margin of 84% of 20kW. In Case 3 and Case 4, it was expected and found from the simulation that the cycle efficiency was 12% and that 30.0kw was produced, considering the margin of 84% of 20kW.

S-대역 고효율 Pallet 전력증폭기 모듈 설계 (Design of an High Efficiency Pallet Power Amplifier Module)

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication of a high-efficiency GaN HEMT(Gallium Nitride High-electron Mobility Transistor) Pallet power amplifier module for S-band phased array radar applications. Pallet amplifier module has a series 2-cascaded power amplifier and the final amplification-stage consists of balanced GaN HEMT transistor. In order to achieve high efficiency characteristic of pallet power amplifier module, all amplifiers are designed to the switching-mode amplifier. We performed with various PRF(Pulse Repetition Frequency) of 1, 10, 100 and 1000Hz at a fixed pulse width of $100{\mu}s$. In the experimental results, the output power, gain, and drain efficiency(${\eta}_{total}$) of the Pallet power amplifier module are 300W, 33dB, and 51% at saturated output power of 2.9GHz, respectively.

0.35㎛ CMOS 공정에서 벌크 입력을 사용한 저전압 저전력 OTAs (Low voltage Low power OTAs using bulk driven in 0.35㎛ CMOS Process)

  • 본 논문에서는 저전압, 저전력 회로에 적합하고, $0.35{\mu}m$ 공정을 이용한 3가지의 OTA를 제시한다. 첫 번째는 1V의 공급전압과 $1.774{\mu}W$의 소비전력을 사용하며 모든 트랜지스터들이 strong inversion 영역에서 동작한다. Bulk 입력으로 인해 줄어든 gm을 보상하기 위해서 Gm-enhancement 기법을 사용하였고, 저전압으로 동작하는 Wide swing current mirror, Class-A output을 적용하였다. 두 번째는 0.8V의 공급전압과 52nW의 소비전력을 사용하여 112dB의 높은 이득을 가지는 2-stage OTA이다. Current mirror는 두 개의 MOS의 Gate를 묶는 Composite Transistor 구조를 사용하여 마치 Cascode와 같은 효과를 주어 출력저항을 높여주었다. 세 번째는 0.6V의 공급전압과 160nW의 소비전력을 사용하여 77dB의 이득을 가지는 2-stage OTA이다. 두 번째 증폭 단에 추가적인 바이어스전압이 필요하지 않으면서 증폭할 수 있도록 Common Gate 구조로 구현하여 Level Shift 기능을 사용하였다.

LLC 공진형 하프브릿지 컨버터의 동기정류기 구동회로에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Synchronous Rectifier Driver Circuits in the LLC Resonant Half-Bridge Converter)

  • In this paper, we propose a current-driven synchronous rectifier driver circuit for LLC resonant half-bridge converters. The proposed driver circuit detects a relatively low current in the primary side of the transformer although a large current is flowing in the secondary side. Due to this feature, the driver circuit has a simple circuit structure and stabilizes the switching operation with a logic-level switching voltages for the synchronous rectifier. The operation and performance of the proposed driver circuit are confirmed with a prototype of 1kW class LLC resonant half-bridge converter. The experimental results proved that the proposed synchronous rectifier driver method improves the power conversion efficiency by around 1% and reduces the internal power loss by 17W.
