1,12-diazacyclodocosane-2,11-dione was first isolated from a plant Phyllanthus niruri Linn. Its structure has been determined by means of spectroscopy methods and X-ray crystallography. Two peptide groups in the big ring (lactam) are the main factors influencing intermolecular contacts. The hydrogen-bond interaction of these hydrophilic groups is observed in the crystal structure. Meanwhile, C-H···O hydrogen bonds in molecules contribute to the formation of the whole crystal. These two kinds of hydrogen-bond form six- member rings among molecules. This compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P-1 with a= 9.588(1) $\AA$, b= $9.850(1)\AA$, c = $11.810(1)\AA$, $\alpha=$ 68.18(1)$^{\circ}C$ , $\beta=$ 84.98(1), $\gamma$ = 86.03(1)$^{\circ}C$ , V = $1030.66(17)\AA3$ , Z = 2. A disorder of five-member carbon chain in the whole ring is observed in the title compound. The bond angle 105.8(4) is determined for a extreme configuration C(14)-C(15)-C(16), and 117.7(10) for another extreme configuration C(14')-C(15')-C(16'). In this crystal, two molecules are tied each other by short intermolecular hydrogen bonds, the oxygen atom being tied by hydrogen bond to nitrogen atom of another two molecules. The NMR and IR spectral data coincides to the structure of the compound.
The DCF of IEEE 802.11 standard coordinates transmissions onto the shared communication channel based on CSMA/CA protocol. Currently, 802,11 is the most widely deployed wireless LAN standard. In this paper, for 802.11-based wireless LAN we propose a service differentiation scheme adopting different contention window sizes and retransmission schemes for two different types of data packets and we present a Markov model for the state of a given station under a finite load traffic condition. We then derive an algorithm to find the transmission probability and the throughput. The proposed model is validated through simulation under various system settings.
The dependence of activities of Aspergillus phoenicis on the culture conditions in the progesterone transformation reaction was investigated. In the beginning of the reaction, $6{\beta},\;11{\alpha}-dihydroxyprogesterone$ was not produced even at high concentration of $11{\alpha}-hydroxyprogesterone$. However, large amount of the product was obtained after the complete exhaustion of progesterone. When spores of A.phoenicis replaced mycelia as enzyme source, $11{\alpha}-hydroxyprogesterone$ was produced after a considerably long indyction period, and its maximum production rate followed the exponential growth phase. The $6{\beta}-hydroxylation\;of\;11{\alpha}-hydroxyprogesterone$ continued, even after the stationary growth phase. A. phoenicis showed high enzyme activity for these reactions when the phosphate buffer solutions were used in place of the ordinary culture medium. The buffer solutions of low pH gave more yield of $11{\alpha}-hydroxyprogesterone$ than those of high pH. However, the addition of flucose to the buffer solutions did not activate the transformation reaction. The presence of progesterone seems to be necessary for the induction of enzymes for the $6{\beta}-hydroxylation\;of\;11{\alpha}-hydroxyprogesterone\;since\;6{\beta},\;11{\alpha}-dihydroxyprogesterone$ is not produced in the reaction medium containing only $11{\alpha}-hydroxyprogesterone$ as a substrate.

Recently, wireless technology gains attention for industrial networks due to low cost, flexibility, relatively easy installation and most importantly, solving the rouring issue. ISA100.11a is one of promising standard for wireless industrial networks (WINs). Data traffic in industrial networks are known to be periodic and must satisfy the real-time property namely deadline. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed to apply deadline monotonic scheduling to periodic tasks in ISA100.11a networks and to evaluate the performance of ISA100.11a by checking the schedulability and beacon frame overhead. Simulation results showns, that our proposed scheme can reduces the network overhead while maintaining schedulability as compared to the previous algorithm. In addition, by reducing the network overhead, our proposed scheme can send more data without degrading the overall performance of WINs.
Purpose - This is a case study aimed at finding a solution for improving the pallet loading efficiency in the process of delivering products through a transshipment using the T-11 and T-12 pallet systems. The study proposes a solution by demonstrating the case of a certain manufacturer A, who aims to reduce the logistics cost by using packaging sizes that are commonly applicable and can improve the compatibility between the T-11 pallet system, designated as the standard pallet in Korea, and the T-12 pallet system, which is commonly used in other foreign countries. The use of common sizes increases compatibility among the two systems and reduces both logistics and environmental costs. Thus, this case study calculates the quantitative benefits of applying common packaging sizes to improve the compatibility between the T-11 and T-12 pallet systems. These systems are considered to be the most important and widely used transportation systems in the global logistics industry. Research design, data, and methodology - This study examined manufacturer A's representative product and delivery system and assessed how manufacturer A was affected by the use of incompatible packaging sizes in the T-11 (1100 mm×1100 mm) and T-12 (1200mm×1000 mm) pallet systems, which were specified in the KS T 1002 standard. In addition, this study analyzed the impact of these packaging sizes on A's logistics cost. The TOPS program (Total Packaging System) was used to simulate pallet loading efficiency, and the main parameter studied was volume, as calculated from length, width, and height. Results - When the sizes of secondary packaging were not compatible across the T-11 and T-12 pallet systems, a reduction in loading efficiency was observed, leading to an increase in logistics cost during transshipment. Such low loading efficiencies led to a further loss of efficiency in transportation, storage and unloading. This may have a possible environmental impact with high social expenses, such as increased CO2 emissions. Hence, this study proposed that the KS T 1002 standard be amended to include 21 packaging sizes, including 7 sizes of the 600 mm×500 mm category, which are compatible with both the T-11 and T-12 pallet systems. Conclusions - This study found that the 69 standard sizes under the T-11 pallet system and the 40 standard sizes under the T-12 system in the KS T 1002 standard can be simplified and reduced to 21 mutually compatible packaging sizes, enabling logistics standardization and reducing national-level logistics costs. If the government pays attention to this study and considers the standardization of common sizes for the T-11 and T-12 pallet systems and amends the KS T 1002 standard, this study will deliver practical value to the global logistics industry, apart from being of academic significance.

Chromosome 11q13 deletion syndrome has been previously reported as either otodental syndrome or oculo-oto-dental syndrome. The otodental syndrome is characterized by dental abnormalities and high-frequency sensorineural hearing loss, and by ocular coloboma in some cases. The underlying genetic defect causing otodental syndrome is a hemizygous microdeletion involving the FGF3 gene on chromosome 11q13.3. Recently, a new form of severe deafness, microtia (small ear) and small teeth, without the appearance of eye abnormalities, was also reported. In this report, we describe a 1-year-old girl presenting with ptosis of the left upper eyelid, right auricular deformity, high-arched palate, delayed dentition, simian line on the right hand, microcephaly, and developmental delay. In this patient, we identified a deletion in the chromosome 11q13.2-q13.3 (2.75 Mb) region by using an array-comparative genomic hybridization analysis. The deletion in chromosome 11q13 results in a syndrome characterized by variable clinical manifestations. Some of these manifestations involve craniofacial dysmorphology and require a functional workup for hearing, ophthalmic examinations, and long-term dental care.
Different Y mutation in Yq11 occurring de novo in sterile males were first described 19 years ago. Since the phenotype of the patients was always associated with azoospermia or severe oligospermia, it was postulated that these mutations interrupt a Y spermatogenesis locus in the euchromatic Y region (Yq11) called azoospermia factor (AZF). Recently, it became possible to map AZF mutations to different subregions in Yq11by molecular deletion mapping. This indicated that azoospermia is possibly caused by more than one Y gene in Yq11 and the Yq11 chromatin structure. The frequency of AZF mutations in idiopathic sterile males $(5{\sim}20%)$ may indicate a need for a general screening programme for its analysis in infertility clinic. We have experienced a case of deletion distal to Yq11 region in azoospermic patient. So we report this case with a brief review of literatures.
Chromatin remodeling regulates gene expression through epigenetic mechanisms. Aberrations in histone modification have been associated with depression-like behaviors in animal models. Additionally, growing evidence also indicates that epigenetic modification is associated with depression. p11 (S100A10) has been implicated in the pathophysiology of depression both in human and rodent models. In the present study, we investigated alterations in histone acetylation and methylation at the promoter of the p11 gene in the hippocampus of mice subjected to chronic unpredictable stress (CUS). C57BL/6 mice were exposed to CUS daily for 3 weeks. Depression-like behaviors were measured with the forced swimming test (FST). The levels of hippocampal p11 expression were analyzed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and Western blotting. The levels of acetylated and methylated histone H3 at the promoter of p11 were measured by chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by real-time PCR. CUS-exposed mice displayed depression-like behaviors with prolonged immobility in FST. CUS led to significant decreases in the expression of p11 at both protein and mRNA levels. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in histone H3 acetylation (Ac-H3) and H3-K4 trimethylation (H3K4met3) and an increase in H3-K27 trimethylation (H3K27met3) at the p11 promoter. These results indicate that chronic stress causes the epigenetic suppression of p11 expression in the hippocampus.
The purpose of this study was to develop a gas chromatographic (GC) method to analyze fatty acids in milk fat with a single injection. The single-injection GC method we developed for analyzing fatty acid composition can separate a wide range of fatty acid methyl esters from butyric acid to docosahexaenoic acid. It separated 6 isomers of 18:1 (cis-6, cis-9, cis-11, trans-6, trans-9 and trans-11), 4 isomers of 18:2 (cis-9-cis-12, trans-9-trans-12, cis-9-trans-12 and trans-9-cis-12), and 4 isomers of conjugated 18:2 (cis-9- trans-11, trans-9-cis-11, cis-10-trans-12 and trans-10-cis-12).
A basic access method using for IEEE 802.11a wireless LANs is the DCF method that is based on the CSMA/CA. But, Since IEEE 802.11 MAC layer uses original backoff algorithm (Exponential backoff method), when collision occurs, the size of contention windows increases the double size. Hence, packet transmission delay time increases and efficiency is decreased by original backoff scheme. In this paper, we have analyzed TCP packet transmission time of IEEE 802.11 MAC DCF protocol for wireless LANs using a proposed enhanced backoff algorithm. From the results, in OFDM/quadrature phase shift keying channel (QPSK), we can achieve that the transmission time in wireless channel decreases as the TCP packet size increases and based on the data collected, we can infer the correlation between TCP packet size and total message transmission time, allowing for an inference of the optimal packet size in the TCP layer.
