Poly-Si wafers with resistivity of 1 [${\Omega}$-cm[ and thickness of 50 [${\mu}m$] were used as a starting material. Various efficiency influencing parameters such as rear surface recombination velocity and minority carrier diffusion length in the base region, front surface recombination velocity, junction depth and doping concentration in the Emitter layer, BSF thickness and doping concentration were investigated. Optimized cell parameters were given as rear surface recombination of 1000 [cm/sec], minority carrier diffusion length in the base region 50 [${\mu}m$], front surface recombination velocity 100 [cm/sec], sheet resistivity of emitter layer 100 [${\Omega}/{\Box}$], BSF thickness 0.5 [${\mu}m$], doping concentration $5{\times}10^{19}\;cm^{-3}$. Among the investigated variables, we learn that a diffusion length of base layer acts as a key factor to achieve conversion efficiency higher than 19.8 %. Further details of simulation parameters and their effects to cell characteristics are discussed in this paper.

The details of engine manufacturer's engine simulations are generally kept secret and only those parameters that are used for control purposes are accessible to users. Hence, there is often only a limited amount of data accessible for creating a performance model of the engine. The performance modeling of a low bypass turbofan engine for supersonic aircraft is described herein. The Pratt and Whitney F100-PW-229 engine has been employed for low bypass turbofan engine performance modeling. Published data from the open literature are used as initial data for building the F100-PW-229 engine performance model. The unknown components' characteristics were estimated by optimization of parameters using by adaptive random search method and sensitivity analysis with respect to design variables. The engine performance model was evaluated to be properly constructed through the comparison of result of engine performance analysis and engine deck data.
This paper was proposed a wave path loss prediction algorithm using multilayer perceptron (MLP) model and wave propagation characteristic parameters for Wireless LAN in indoor radio environments. Receiving power was predicted by calculating indoor path loss in a Wireless LAN that has transmission power of 100mW and frequency of 2.4GHz, and was compared with measured. In the result of measurement shows that there is a difference between predicted and measured receiving power which can be reduced by an accurate analysis of the various path loss factors. In order to fix the access point(AP) positions was used the proposed a wave path loss prediction algorithm, and designed the optimum cell for Wireless LAN.

As a measure of the combined effect of fracture geometry, the fabric tensor parameters could quantify the status of the connected fluid flow paths in discrete fracture network (DFN). The correlation analysis between fabric tensor parameters and hydraulic properties of the 2-D DFN was performed in this study. It is found that there exists a strong nonlinear relationship between the directional conductivity and the fabric tensor component estimated in the direction normal to the direction of hydraulic conductivity. The circular radial plots without significant variation of the first invariant ($F_0$) of fabric tensor for different sized 2-D DFN block are a necessary condition for treating representative element volume (REV) of a fractured rock mass. The relative error (ER) between the numerically calculated directional hydraulic conductivity and the theoretical directional hydraulic conductivity decreases with the increase in $F_0$. A strong functional relation seems to exist between the $F_0$ and the average block hydraulic conductivity.
Recently, the population of people exploring High Mountain trekking or expedition is increasing as an increase in the backpackers. Many accidents occurring at High Mountain above 6,000 m are the results of snow blindness. The damage of cornea and/or retina is direct cause of snow blindness. The UV intensity increases on the hand, along with the altitude caused by decrease in the atmospheric pressure, on the other hand the reflections by bright snow at high mountain area. And it increases approximately 3 times and 4 times higher than the ground level at altitude of 4,000 m and 8,000 m, respectively. The use of sunglasses is more favorable than goggles for the protection of snow blindness at High Mountains. The eye frames that have high mechanical strength and the plastic lenses which can protect UV 100% are recommended. The attachable shielding pads are needed to prevent the incident UV light reflected or scattered from the gap between glasses frame and face. The sunglasses must have flexible and long temples to wind the ears adequately for the prevention of detachment during climbing and it is recommended that the metal frame to be coated with plastics to prevent the eye surroundings from frostbite.

This classification of walking patterns is important and many kinds of applications. Therefore, we attempted to classify walking on level ground from slow walking to fast walking using a waist acceleration signal. A tri-axial accelerometer was fixed to the subject's waist and the three acceleration signals were recorded by bluetooth module at a sampling rate of 100 Hz eleven healthy. The data were analyzed using discrete wavelet transform. Walking patterns were classified using two parameters; One was the ratio between the power of wavelet coefficients which were corresponded to locomotion and total power in the anteroposterior direction (RPA). The other was the ratio between root mean square of wavelet coefficients at the anteroposterior direction and that at the vertical direction(RAV). Slow walking could be distinguished by the smallest value in RPA from other walking pattern. Fast walking could be discriminated from level walking using RAV. It was possible to classify the walking pattern using acceleration signal in healthy people.

Convolutional neural networks are widely used to manipulate data arranged in a grid, such as images. A general convolutional neural network consists of a convolutional layers and a fully connected layers, and each layer contains a nonlinear activation functions. This paper proposes a combined parametric activation function to improve the performance of convolutional neural networks. The combined parametric activation function is created by adding the parametric activation functions to which parameters that convert the scale and location of the activation function are applied. Various nonlinear intervals can be created according to parameters that convert multiple scales and locations, and parameters can be learned in the direction of minimizing the loss function calculated by the given input data. As a result of testing the performance of the convolutional neural network using the combined parametric activation function on the MNIST, Fashion MNIST, CIFAR10 and CIFAR100 classification problems, it was confirmed that it had better performance than other activation functions.
We developed a digital 3-axis flux-gate magnetometer for magnetic field signal measurement from warship during demagnetizing and degaussing processes. For the magnetometer design, we considered following points; the distance between magnetic field measurement station and magnetometer located under sea is about several 100 m, the magnetometer is exposed to magnetic field of ${\pm}1mT$ during demagnetizing process, and magnetometer is located under the sea about 30 m depth. To overcome long distance problem, magnetometer could be operated on wide input supply voltage range of 16~36 V using DC/DC converter, and for the data communication between the magnetometer and measurement station a RS422 serial interface was employed. To improve perming effect due to the ${\pm}1mT$ during demagnetizing process, magnetometer could be compensated external magnetic field up to ${\pm}1mT$ but magnetic field measuring rang is only ${\pm}100{\mu}T$. The perming effect was about ${\pm}2nT$ under ${\pm}1mT$ external magnetic field. The magnetometer was tested water vessel with air pressure up to 6 bar for the sea water pressure problems. Linearity of the magnetometer was better than 0.01 % in the measuring range of ${\pm}0.1mT$ and noise level was $30pT/\sqrt{Hz}$ at 1 Hz.
