Application of a Digital PSS to 220MVA Pumped Storage Unit and Its Validation Using Real-Time Digital Simulator (청평양수 발전기의 PSS 파라메터 튜닝 및 시뮬레이터를 이용한 성능검증)

  • This paper describes practical tuning methods and testing of a digital PSS, which uses both frequency and power, with the 220MVA Chungpyung P/P #1 in the KEPCO system to enhance the damping of local modes. In the first step, the objective phase of PSS is computed through a phase leading function to provide compensation between the exciter reference point and the generator air-gap torque before tuning the PSS's time constants. In addition, eigenvalue analysis was used to determine a range of PSS's gain, whichis the more useful for field testing rather than a single gain value. The Real-Time Digital Simulator was used to verify safe operations of the PSS in the presence of disturbances, such as AVR step and three phase fault.

  • We are concerned with estimating the average performance of a re-entrant line with single-job machines and batch machines. The system has multiclass jobs, which will be processed in predetermined routes. An analytical approach may be intractable since the system would not be modeled by product form queueing networks due to the inclusion of batch machines and the consideraton of multiclass jobs which have different processing times. We propose an approximation method based on the Mean Value Analysis(MVA). Our method obtains the mean walting time in each buffer of a workstation and the mean cycle time using the MVA and heuristics. numerical experiments show that the errors of our method are within 5% compared with simulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 신재생에너지원인 1.5MW 풍력발전기가 연계된 계통에 2MVA/500kWh BESS(Battery Energy Storage System)를 적용하여 실증시험을 수행한 결과를 기술하였다. 풍력발전기의 출력 전력을 측정하여 제어 알고리즘에 따라 충, 방전 지령값을 계산하는 상위제어기 EMS와 BESS를 연동하여 운전하였다. 이를 통해 BESS를 이용하여 풍력발전기의 출력이 심하게 변동하여도 계통으로 송전되는 전력을 안정적으로 제어할 수 있음을 검증하였다.

  • 2대의 교류발전기 G1과 G2가 병렬운전 중 일 때 내부 기전력 E1, E2는 같은 위상이지만, 크기가 E1>E2로 될 때 두 발전기 사이에는 전위차가 있으므로 횡류 Ic가 흐르게 된다. 남강수력발전소는 주변압기(15MVA, 3.45/66kV) 한대에 수차발전기(7MVA) 2대가 병렬로 운전 중인데, 남강수력 제1호 수차발전기 AVR 시스템의 고장(RS 1기판)으로 G1 발전기의 내부 유기전압과 G2 발전기의 내부 유기전압에 차가 생기고, 이 양자의 차 전압을 전원으로 하여 발전기 G1과 G2를 환류하는 전류가 발생하여 발전 기동 중 비상정지 하였다. 본 논문에서는 고장원인 분석과정 및 AVR 시스템 보수 전 후 파형 비교 및 사고원인을 논하고자 한다.

  • A 1 MVA transformer with BSCCO-2223 high Tc superconducting (HTS) tapes was designed. The rated voltages of each sides of the transformer are 22.0 kV and 6.6 kV respectively. Double pancake HTS windings, which have advantages of insulations and distribution of high voltage, were adopted. Four HTS tapes were wound in parallel fer the windings of low voltage side. Each winding was composed of several double pancake windings made of four parallel conductors were transposed in order to distribute the currents equally in each conductor. A core of the transformer was designed as a shell type core made of laminated silicon steel plate and the core is separated with the windings by a cryostat with a room temperature bore. The operating temperature of HTS windings will be 65K with liquid nitrogen, and a cooling system using a cryocooler was proposed and designed conceptually. This HTS transformer is going to be manufactured in near future based on the design parameters presented in this paper.

제벤처생태계 개념통합형 기초공통교육 모델화 연구

  • 이 연구는 경영학과 MBA교육과정이 세상의 모든 제품과 기업에 공통적으로 적용되듯이, 세상의 어떤 분야의 제품이든 그 시작인 한 개 착안에서부터 시장력 확보를 위해 시도 되는 도전행위의 매개인 모든 착안과 아이디어가 기업이 되는 과정인 제벤처행위에 공통적으로 적용되는 학문이 될, MVA(PH-MVA, master of venture arming, 벤처무장학)학의 개념적 모델링의 시작에 필요로하는 정의론과 개념론으로, MBA에 있어 경영학원론이 개론화되듯, MVA에 있어 그 개론서가 될 벤처학원론서 설계에 있어서의 시작인 1편 기초론을 구성하는 내용을 벤처창업이나 기업의 신제품개발 부서에의 취업을 희망하는 학생들과 제벤처 생태계의 모든 직간접 관련 직무자 들이 공통적으로 무장하면 벤처적 행위에 필요로하는 여러 가지 직무자들 같이 소통력은 물론 직무매칭력 등의 분업 협업력이 매우 높아 질 것이라는 주장을 바탕으로한다. 그리고 제시하는 정의와 개념을 제벤처 생태계 전체의 표준으로 참고 삼아, 누구의 어떤 모델이든, 창조경제의 일부로서 미생들의 벤처(창업, 기업만들기 도전)행위나 완생기업들의 신제품개발 모두에 두루 적용 될 수 있는, 누구나가 이해, 공감, 교감, 습득이 용이한 벤처학 개발이 왕성하게 활성화될 수 있도록 하는 것이 곧 창조경제 활성화를 위한 학자들의 사명이자 새로운 성장동력 모델의 발굴이기도하다는 측면에서의 동참이 될 수 있기를 바라는 마음이다. 아울러, 이러한 정의와 개념을 바탕으로 전개되어, 벤처생태계 전반에서 수행 될 교육이 개인들의 창업(기업만들기)을 목표로하는 공부가 되기도하고 연장에, 완생기업들이 필요로하는 신제품개발에 있어서의 기본적인 능력과 자질을 갖춘 인재선발적 취업준비공부도 될 수 있는 통합적 교육이되어야한다는 취지를 가지고있다. 또 연구를 통해 제벤처(기업의 신제품개발 도전협업행위 포함) 생태계에서의 직무자들의 직무매칭력 및 협업행위에 있어서의 다양한 용어와 정의와 개념들의 제각각으로 부터 발생되는 상치(相馳, 제각각, 불통, 협업마찰, 대립, 갈등, 등)력을 해소하는 것이 역설적으로 협업력을 최적으로 활성화 할 수 있다는 사실을 모두가 인지, 수용토록 하고자 함을 목적으로한다. 이러한 연구를 전벤처단계의 벤처기초학을 바탕으로하는 제벤처생태계 개념을 일원화 통합화하는 연장에 전개되는 공통무장교육 모델화를 목적으로한다.

  • The design and the fabrication of a 1 MVA single-phase HTS transformer are presented in this paper, The rated voltages are 22.9 ㎸ for primary and 6.6 ㎸ for secondary, and the rated currents are 44 A and 152 A respectively. The transformer has HTS double pancake type windings. This type of winding has many advantages such as ease of fabrication and maintenance, good distribution of surge voltage and insulation of windings. Single HTS wire was used for primary winding and four HTS parallel wires were used for secondary winding. These windings are arranged reciprocally with the shell type iron core. An FRP cryostat with room temperature bore was fabricated to isolate the iron core from the coolant. The winding will be cooled down to 65 K with sub-cooled liquid nitrogen using a GM-cryocooler. The sub-cooled liquid nitrogen has advantages of good insulation because of no bubbles as well as increased current capacity of HTS wire.

  • In December 2011 and July 2012, two sets of 840MVA hydro-generator of Three Gorges on Yangtze River with Close-loop-self-circulating evaporative cooling (CLSCEC) system were put into commercial operation. In this paper, we make engineering summary of these two generators with CLSCEC system. We also make a comparison between the internal water cooling (IWC) hydro-generator and the CLSCEC hydro-generator used in Three Gorges power plant in fields of their operating characteristics, working performances, technical features, working safety and reliability. In addition, engineering structures, type tests' results and systematic emulating calculation of CLSCEC schemes are analyzed.

  • This paper presents a high performance low switching PWM technique or the propulsion system of railway such as subway and high speed train. In order to achieve the continuous voltage control to six-step and s low harmonics with low switching frequency under 500Hz, the synchronous technique is combined with a space vector overmodulation and implemented by using DSP. Improved performance and a validation of proposed method are showed by the digital simulation and the experimental results using a 1.65MVA IGBT VVVF inverter and inertia load equivalent to 160 tons railway cars.

Characteristics of a 190 kVA Superconducting Fault current Limiting Element (190 kVA급 초전도한류소자의 특성)

  • We are developing a 22.9 kV/25 MVA superconducting fault current limiting(SFCL) system for a power distribution network. A Bi-2212 bulk SFCL element, which has the merits of large current capacity and high allowable electric field during fault of the power network, was selected as a candidate for our SFCL system. In this work, we experimentally investigated important characteristics of the 190 kVA Bi-2212 SFCL element in its application to the power grid e.g. DC voltage-current characteristic, AC loss, current limiting characteristic during fault, and so on. Some experimental data related to thermal and electromagnetic behaviors were also compared with the calculated ones based on numerical method. The results show that the total AC loss at rated current of the 22.9 kV/25 MVA SFCL system, consisting of one hundred thirty five 190 kVA SFCL elements, becomes likely 763 W, which is excessively large for commercialization. Numerically calculated temperature of the SFCL element in some sections is in good agreement with the measured one during fault. Local temperature distribution in the190 kVA SFCL element is greatly influenced by non-uniform critical current along the Bi-2212 bulk SFCL element, even if its non-uniformity becomes a few percentages.
