The Crystal and Molecular Structure of Sulfapyridine

  • The crystal structure of sulfapyridine, $C_{11}H_{11}N_{3}O_{2}S$, has been determined by X-ray diffraction method. The compound crystallizees in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 12, 80(4), b= 11.72(4), $c= 15.36(5){\AA}, {\beta}= 94(3)^{\circ}$and Z = 8. A total of 1133 observed reflections were collected by the Weissenberg method with CuKaradiation. Structure was solved by the heavy atom method and refined by isostropic block-diagonal least-squares method to the R value of 0.14. The nitrogen in the pyridine ring of sulfapyridine is associated with an extra-annular hydrogen. The C (benzene ring) S-N-C (pyridine ring) group adopts the gauche form with a fonformational angle of $71^{\circ}$. The benzene ring are inclined at angle of $84^{\circ}.to the pyridine ring plane. Sulfapyridine shows three different hydrogen bonding in the crystal. They are two N-H...O hydrogen bonds with the distance of 2.90 and 2.98${\AA}$ respectively, and on N-H...N with the distance of 3.06 ${\AA}$.

개별화된 교육이 허혈성 뇌졸중 환자의 불안과 자가간호수행에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Individualized Education on Stroke Patients' Post-discharge Anxiety and Self-care Compliance)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effect of individualized education on stroke patients' post-discharge anxiety and self-care compliance. Methods: It was a pretest-posttest design with non-equivalent groups. A total of 32 hospitalized stroke patients in experimental group were given individualized education three times at one day before, the day of and one week after discharge. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and $x^2$-test. Results: The scores of anxiety at posttest were $45.66{\pm}9.58$ in control group and $35.44{\pm}8.21$ in the experimental group. Self-compliance scores were $44.00{\pm}7.99$ in control and $61.06{\pm}7.69$ in the experimental group. These indicate that anxiety score is significantly lower (t=-4.58, p<.001), and self-compliance score is significantly higher (t=8.70, p<.001) in experimental group. Conclusion: If stroke patients receive a relevant individualized education, it could help reduce their anxiety. Also it would be useful to maintain and improve their self-care compliance after discharge.

A Computerized Doughty Predictor Framework for Corona Virus Disease: Combined Deep Learning based Approach

  • Nowadays, COVID-19 infections are influencing our daily lives which have spread globally. The major symptoms' of COVID-19 are dry cough, sore throat, and fever which in turn to critical complications like multi organs failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, etc. Therefore, to hinder the spread of COVID-19, a Computerized Doughty Predictor Framework (CDPF) is developed to yield benefits in monitoring the progression of disease from Chest CT images which will reduce the mortality rates significantly. The proposed framework CDPF employs Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) as a feature extractor to extract the features from CT images. Subsequently, the extracted features are fed into the Adaptive Dragonfly Algorithm (ADA) to extract the most significant features which will smoothly drive the diagnosing of the COVID and Non-COVID cases with the support of Doughty Learners (DL). This paper uses the publicly available SARS-CoV-2 and Github COVID CT dataset which contains 2482 and 812 CT images with two class labels COVID+ and COVI-. The performance of CDPF is evaluated against existing state of art approaches, which shows the superiority of CDPF with the diagnosis accuracy of about 99.76%.

Target Market Determination for Information Distribution and Student Recruitment Using an Extended RFM Model with Spatial Analysis

  • Purpose: This research proposes a new modified Recency-Frequency-Monetary (RFM) model by extending the model with spatial analysis for supporting decision-makers in discovering the promotional target market. Research design, data and methodology: This quantitative research utilizes data-mining techniques and the RFM model to cluster a university's provider schools. The RFM model was modified by adapting its variables to the university's marketing context and adding a district's potential (D) variable based on heatmap analysis using Geographic Information System (GIS) and K-means clustering. The K-prototype algorithm and the Elbow method were applied to find provider school clusters using the proposed RFM-D model. After profiling the clusters, the target segment was assigned. The model was validated using empirical data from an Indonesian university, and its performance was compared to the Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)-based RFM utilizing accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. Results: This research identified five clusters. The target segment was chosen from the highest-value and high-value clusters that comprised 17.80% of provider schools but can contribute 75.77% of students. Conclusions: The proposed model recommended more targeted schools in higher-potential districts and predicted the target segment with 0.99 accuracies, outperforming the CLV-based model. The empirical findings help university management determine the promotion location and allocate resources for promotional information distribution and student recruitment.

황복(Takifugu obscurus♀)과 자주복(T. rubripes♂) 교잡종의 형태 비교 및 분자분석 (Morphological Characteristics and Molecular Analysis of the Hybrid Takifugu obscurus♀ × T. rubripes♂)

  • Hybridization is a major production method used to combine beneficial traits from two different species to obtain a potentially dominant trait. In China, Takifugu obscurus and T. rubripes were artificially crossed, and the resulting hybrids had an average body weight 38.06-8.93% higher than that of the parental species, which enabled the hybrids to be grown in freshwater. This study aimed to provide the basic data necessary for the classification of T. obscurus♀×T. rubripes♂ hybrids in terms of economic value and market potential. Morphological comparing the morphology of hybrids and parental species, we discovered that the hybrids had intermediate traits of the parental species. In morphometrics, the hybrid index (HI) value of head length against standard length was close to the trait of T. rubripes, and the HI values of preanal length and predorsal length were close to those of T. obscurus; however, the HI values of nasal length, snout length, length of anal fin, length of pectoral fin, caudal peduncle depth and caudal peduncle length were found to be unique characteristics of the hybrids. Regarding molecular analysis, a 99.8% nucleotide sequence similarity was found between the hybrid and T. obscurus.

홍화(Carthamus tinctorius L.)의 부위별 이화학적 특성 (Properties of the Chemical Composition of Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.))

  • In order to develop new materials for the functional feed, the components of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) was studied. Chemical composition, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids of the seed and the flower of safflower were analyzed. The chemical composition of safflower seed was 3.48% (w/w) moisture, 17.10% crude protein, 30.10% crude fat, 6.11% crude ash and these of safflower flower was 7.47% moisture, 26.30% crude protein, 11.50% crude fat, 5.73% crude ash. Mineral contents of the seed were K 170.70ppm, P 14.82ppm, Ca 13.17ppm, Mg 7.83 ppm whereas these of the flower were K 64.99 ppm, P 49.90 ppm, Ca 10.43ppm. Other mineral contents were less than 7.00ppm in all parts. The composition of the amino acid were approximately as follow, the major amino acid in all parts were aspartic acid, leucine, glycine, and arginine, the contents of these were 12.17mg/g, 11.52mg/g, 8.27mg/g, 6.99mg/g, 4.86mg/g in the seed, 19.35mg/g, 31.67mg/g, 10.30mg/g, 9.06mg/g, 12.51mg/g in the flower, respectively. The mahor fatty acids in the all parts were linoleic acid (C아래첨자). The linoleic acid and the palmitic acid (C아래첨자) in the seed and the flower parts were 77.75% (w/w), 19.32% and 8.37%, 25.62% respectively. On the basis of chemical analysis, the safflower showed to have relatively high contents of crude protein and crude fat, minerals, polyunsaturated fatty acid as linoleic acid. These results suggested that safflower was found to be a useful material of natural health food for the functional food development.

상표전환행렬을 이용한 이동통신 시장점유율 분석 (Analysis of Market Share using Brand Switching Matrix in the Korean Mobile Market)

  • 한국의 이동통신시장은 이미 경쟁이 치열한 성숙기에 진입했으며, 최근 LTE서비스가 출시되면서 여러요인으로 인해 이동통신 시장구조가 급격히 변동하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 이러한 시장상황에서 이동통신서비스 이용고객의 상표전환의향 및 상표전환행동이 어떠한 영향이 있는지를 증명하고, 그 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 미래창조과학부가 제공하는 전체 스마트폰 가입자 비율과 본 연구가 제시하는 현재 시장점유율은 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 스마트폰 이용고객의 잠재고객유지율은 SKT > KT > LGU+순으로 높게 나타났으며, 이용통신사 전환 선호도도 SKT, KT, LGU+ 순으로 조사 되었다. 본 연구에서 조사된 자료와 상표전환행렬을 활용한 향후 스마트폰 시장의 최종 시장점유율은 SKT 63.65%, KT 21.99%, LGU+ 14.36%로 추정 되었다. 또한 잠재고객유지율이 1년 전에 비하여 큰 폭으로 하락한 것으로 나타나, 스마트폰 시장은 당분간 변동이 심할 것으로 예측되었다.

이동통신 기지국을 위한 적층된 원형 마이크로스트립 안테나 설계 (Design of Stacked Circular Microstrip Antenna for Mobile Communication Base Station)

  • 본 논문에서는 이중공진 및 광대역, 고이득의 특성을 갖는 적층된 원형-디스크 마이크로스트립 1×4 배열 안테나를 차세대 이동통신인 IMT-2000시스템(상향링크: 1.885 GHz∼2.025 GHz, 하향링크: 2.11 GHz∼2.2 GHz)기지국에서 응용할 수 있도록 설계 제작 및 실험하였다. 실험결과 상향:l.885 GHz, 하향:2.178 GHz로 원하는 주파수대에서 정확히 이중 공진하고, 궤환 손실은 -30.19dB, -24.99dB로 나타났으며 VSWR은 각각 1.06, 1.43, 그리고 VSWR<2 에서의 대역폭 402 MHz, -3dB 빔 폭은 1.88 GHz에서( αE :16.8。, αH : 69。), 2.178 GHz에서(αE:15.2。, αH:51.5。)를 갖고, 이득은 사용 하고자 하는 주파수 전반에 거쳐 약 13.7 dBi∼15.21 dBi의 이득을 얻었다.

파주 갈대 샛강 생태적 복원을 위한 식생구조 모니터링 연구 (Monitoring on Vegetation Structure for Ecological Restoration of Small Stream in Paju)

  • In this study vegetation structure was monitored focusing on slanting surface of stream for the purpose of developing a management plan and ecological restoration of small stream in Paju. The study was conducted by types of geographical structure, yearly flora, naturalization rate changes, actual vegetation changes, plant community changes. Slope area of small stream in Paju was varied in the slope range of $10{\sim}35^{\circ}$. The survey results of yearly flora showed that 37 species appeared in 2000, 55 species in 2001, 95 species in 2002, and 125 species in 2003. Therefore, the trend of continuous increase of flora each year was observed. In the case of yearly changes of actual vegetation, indigenous wetland herb community including Phragmites communis$(19.99%{\rightarrow}18.42%{\rightarrow}19.60%)$ did not show substantial changes in the area, while the influence of controlled flora such as Humulus scandens$(8.86%{\rightarrow}5.26%{\rightarrow}9.73%)$, and Ambrosia artemisiifolia$(1.06%{\rightarrow}1.43%{\rightarrow}6.93%)$ were increased. The vegetation structure investigated by 18 preset belt-transects also indicated that Phragmites communis and Miscanthus sacchariflorus were maintaining the status or decreasing the population, while the population of Humulus scandens, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Setaria viridis, and Erigeron canadensis were greatly increased. Our proposal management to restore ecology is as follows: first, preservation and restoration of Phragmites communis landscape; second, restoration of potential stream vegetation community; third, selection and removal of controlled plants.

반코마이신 내성 장구균 환자 보호자의 질병 불확실성과 감염관리 수행 (Uncertainty and Performance of Infection Control in Caregivers of Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococci Patients)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 VRE 환자 보호자의 질병 불확실성과 감염관리 수행 정도를 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사 연구이다. 방법: 본 연구는 D광역시에 소재한 D의료원에 입원한 VRE 환자 보호자 82명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 21.0을 이용하여 실수, 백분율, t-test, ANOVA로 통계 분석하였다. 결과: VRE 환자 보호자의 질병 불확실성은 56.99점이었고, 감염관리 수행 정도는 35.09점이었다. 대상자의 특성에 따른 감염관리 수행 정도 차이 검정에서 나이(F=121.38, p<.001), 학력(F=102.77, p<.001), 환자와의 관계(F=17.80, p<.001), 하루 평균 간호하는 시간(t=3.14, p=.002), 가족의 형태(t=-8.65, p<.001)에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 대상자의 질병 불확실성은 유의하게 감염관리 수행 정도와 부적인 상관관계를 보였다(r=-.96, p<.001). 결론: 본 연구결과는 VRE 환자 보호자를 위한 감염관리 프로그램 개발 및 감염관리 표준지침 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
