A Study on the Practical Use of Rich-Media in the Internet Advertisement (인터넷 광고에서의 리치미디어 활용에 관한 연구)

  • Today's internet advertisement market is growing rapidly placing great importance on banner advertisements. Still, banner advertisements are being ignored by the users because most of these banners are exaggerated, visually distracted and they usually interfere with internet surfing. These banners make the agents and the users feel displeased and furthermore, make internet market unstable. 'Rich-Media'came in sight as the new way of advertising means in the internet market as the users demand for more dynamic and interactive media. In Rich-Media, sound and animation interact with former animated banner advertisements. Internet advertising businesses inducing web agencies have positive views about Rich-Media, because more information and ideas are shared through aural and visual integration and it is very effective way to draw attentions from the users. In this study, we have examined the effects of Rich-Media advertisements through surveys. As a result, Rich-Media advertisements are superior to ordinary banner advertisements in visual effect, leading interests of users, inducing mouse did(s and providing of information. The recent uses of Rich-Media is just a mere beginning, but we expect to make the Rich-Media an essential medium of internet advertisement as we continue studying the uses and effects of Rich-Media.

A case study on the effects of programs utilizing learning strategies on the development of learning strategies and science academic achievements of the 7th grade science underachievers (학습전략을 활용한 프로그램이 중학교 과학학습 부진아의 학습전략 및 학업성취도에 미치는 효과에 대한 사례 연구)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop a program utilizing learning strategies for underachieving middle school students in science and to identify the effectiveness of the program on the ability of using learning strategies and the improvement of science academic achievement. For this study, we developed the program of learning strategies consisting of eleven consecutive lesson plans focusing on the content of 2009 revised national science curriculum and applied the program to three underachieving students in science of 7th grade, who have weaker learning strategies that can be used for science study than other underachievers. After treatments, we analyzed the effectiveness of this program through science learning strategy tests, overall assessments, student-activity sheets, research logs, learning-transcription details, analysis of interviews with students, and observation of classes. According to this study, the enhancement of the ability of using learning strategies was limited because it was difficult for the students to change their fossilized strategies. On the other hand, their overall academic performance was considerably improved since the students became interested in studying science drawing on the learning strategies. Therefore, the program of learning strategies had a positive effect on improving the science underachievers' ability of using learning strategies and academic achievements.

Interactive Statistics Laboratory using R and Sage (R을 활용한 '대화형 통계학 입문 실습실' 개발과 활용)

  • In this paper, we introduce development process and application of a simple and effective model of a statistics laboratory using open source software R, one of leading language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. This model consists of HTML files, including Sage cells, video lectures and enough internet resources. Users do not have to install statistical softwares to run their code. Clicking 'evaluate' button in the web page displays the result that is calculated through cloud-computing environment. Hence, with any type of mobile equipment and internet, learners can freely practice statistical concepts and theorems via various examples with sample R (or Sage) codes which were given, while instructors can easily design and modify it for his/her lectures, only gathering many existing resources and editing HTML file. This will be a resonable model of laboratory for studying statistics. This model with bunch of provided materials will reduce the time and effort needed for R-beginners to be acquainted with and understand R language and also stimulate beginners' interest in statistics. We introduce this interactive statistical laboratory as an useful model for beginners to learn basic statistical concepts and R.

  • As the Internet has been a daily instrument of our lives, the numbers of Internet users are increasing rapidly. Especially, we have to pay special attention to about rapid increasing of juvenile users. In the 1990's, Kids are growing up literally surrounded by new technologies and mu1timedia experiences. For these kids, most of the techno1ologies that we adults find surprising or even incredible are a part of their everyday landscape, a fact of life. Currently, only few of research and discussion has gone into understanding this field. And most of these web sites, set importance on furnishing information only. So educational characters of web are not manifested fully as well as children soon get board with learning with Internet so that feel difficulties in searching and accepting information. At this point, we must try to develop educational sites Not only to show information but also to offer a rich and entertaining time for kids while providing playful teaming and increased technological fluency. Fer this purpose, Web site should be all about combining play with learning. Site navigation should be easy and the pages load quickly. The page download time is also being considerable, which could send kids withy mouse-fingers looking for entertainment elsewhere. Everything about the site must have a familiar feel, uses adequate colors to be satisfied with the juveniles. Multimedia can help the communications in the websites. To maximize the educational effect, technological research and continues invest are need, in addition to usability test.

Effects of Child-Initiated Cooking Activity on Young Children's Self-Efficacy and Learning Interest (유아주도 요리활동이 유아의 자기효능감 및 학습흥미도에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to examine the effects of child-initiated cooking activity on young children's self-efficacy and learning interest. To achieve this, the child-initiated cooking activity and teacher-initiated cooking activity were performed on an experimental group and comparative group, respectively. A total of sixty-eight subjects in 2 classes of 34 four and five year old children in private child-care centers in Chungnam from September 9 to December 31, 2013 were evaluated. The results were as follows. First, the general self-efficacy of the comparative group increased slightly, but that of the experimental group increased significantly, which showed a statistically significant difference in the general self-efficacy. In addition, the child-initiated cooking activity had an effect on the improvement of the cognitive domain, social-emotional domain and physical domain by each sub-factor. Second, the general learning interest of the comparative group increased slightly, but that of the experimental group increased significantly, in which there was a statistically significant difference in the general learning interest. In addition, the child-initiated cooking activity had an effect on the improvement of attention, interest, confidence, conscientiousness and activity interest by each sub-factor. In the findings stated above, the child-initiated cooking activity was an education activity that had a positive effect on the young children's self-efficacy and learning interest.

Developing Korean Learning Contents Using Augmented Reality (증강현실을 활용한 한국어 학습 콘텐츠 개발)

  • With advancements in augmented reality technology, attempts to apply it in various fields have increased. With advancements in information technology and a growth in the number of Korean learners in Korea and abroad, there is a growing demand for state-of-the-art Korean learning contents. Because the Korean learning contents developed using augmented reality have been found insufficient, this paper investigates ways to develop better contents. This paper proposes ways to develop learning contents that can increase learners' interest in learning and lead to academic achievement, because the methods of education in Korea are limited to textbook learning and learning through the media. Because of the structure of fairytales and the educational lessons that can be learned from them, Korean learning contents are developed using fairytales. Additionally, Korean contents are designed to implement augmented reality technology, and learners need only have computers, webcams, and markers to make use of it. In consideration of Korean learners who do not have access to augmented reality technology, this paper clarifies that there should be a harmony between existing and new Korean learning contents. On the basis of this study, further studies on Korean education exploring the role of augmented reality should be conducted so that Korean learning contents that use diverse types of augmented reality technology can be will developed.

A Content Analysis on Learning Experience of K-MOOC(Korea-Massive Open Online Course) : Focused on Korean University Students (한국 대학생의 K-MOOC 학습 경험에 대한 내용 분석)

  • The purpose of the study was to understand the various aspects of learning experiences of Korean university students on K-MOOC. Analyses on the major motivation of the enrollment in a certain MOOC class, the actual learning experiences in the class and the perception of the achievement of the class were the three main foci of the current study. The study employed inductive content analysis as a major analysis tool. Reflective journals from 94 students who enrolled in K-MOOC classes were collected and analyzed at the end of the semester. The result of this study indicated that most of students selected the specific K-MOOC classes based on their general interests on the topics the class offered. Other factors such as intellectual curiosity, practical reasons for their study or work and popularity were also influential on the selection of MOOC classes. Watching videos, taking quizzes and taking tests were the three major sources of the students' satisfaction. Most students felt that K-MOOC is technically satisfactory. However, some students reported on simple errors and absence of advanced functions in the platform. Students perceived positively on their academic achievements of obtaining knowledge(remembering and understanding), attitudes (receiving), and skills through K-MOOC. This study ultimately showed a new awareness of learning experiences around K-MOOC from the perspective of the students. Future research is needed to understand the relationships between the students' learning experience and the students' performance in MOOC classes.

A Study on the revitalization of Urban Periodical market in Won-ju City (도시풍물시장의 활성화방안에 관한 연구 - 원주시 쌍다리 풍물시장을 중심으로 -)

  • 이제까지 부활된 정기시장인 원주시 쌍다리 풍물시장의 현황을 관찰, 면담, 설문지를 통하여 많은 문제점과 나름대로의 대안을 살펴보았다. 여러 가지 문제해결의 요소들이 복잡하게 얽혀 있는 쌍다리 풍물시장의 활성화 방안을 살펴보기에 앞서 풍물시장의 이해 관계자들을 살펴보기로 하자. 쌍다리 풍물시장의 이해관계자는 크게 4가지 부류로 나눌 수 있다. 첫째로, 상설상인들을 들 수 있다. 이들은 거리에서 노점상을 했던 도시빈민들이 대부분이며, 설문지에서 나타나듯이 낮은 학력, 소자본 그리고 노령인구층과 여자의 비율이 높다. 이들은 두 가지에 큰 관심을 가지고 있는데, 매장의 소유권과 5일장이다. 매장의 소유권은 이들에게 있어서 큰 희망이며, 5일 장날의 매상은 평소의 $5{\sim}6$배를 웃돌고 있기 때문이다. 또한 풍물시장 번영회라는 그들의 이익을 대변할 수 있는 단체를 구성하고 있으며 이러한 풍물시장 번영회는 상설상인들의 이익을 도모할 수 있는 여러 노력들을 하고 있다. 둘째로는 이동상인들을 들 수 있다. 이들은 장터를 떠돌아 다니며 상행위를 하는 부류로서 상설상인에 비해 상대적으로 고학력과 장년층이 많다. 이들은 5일장의 성쇄와 깊은 관련이 있으나, 5일장이 열리는 상설시장의 발전에는 아무런 흥미가 없다. 즉, 이동상인이 많이 모여드는 곳은 5일장이 크게 번창하지만, 그곳의 장이 패할 기미가 보이면 미련 없이 떠난다. 따라서 보다 많은 이동상인의 유치는 도시 5일장의 성쇄와 깊은 관련이 있다. 셋째로는 시당국을 들 수 있다. 시당국에 의해서 쌍다리 풍물시장은 노점단속에 반발하는 노점상들에 대응하기 위하여 생겨났으며, 5일장 역시 시당국에 의해서 부활된 것이다. 그러나 단기적인 측면만을 고려한 듯한 인상을 풍기는 쌍다리 풍물시장에 대한 행정은 대단히 아쉬운 부분이며 앞으로도 여러 가지 구조적인 문제점의 해결은 시당국에 달려있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 즉, 풍물시장에 관련된 이해관계자들 중 유일하게 조직과 행정력을 가지고 문제해결을 할 수 있는 주체인 것이다. 넷째로는 풍물시장을 이용하는 소비자를 들 수 있다. 이들은 주로 원주에 살고 있는 사람들이 대다수이며 쌍다리 풍물시장을 이용하는 이유는 저렴한 가격에도 원인이 있지만 민족의 정서가 어려있는 시골장터에 대한 향수 역시 큰 원인으로 꼽을 수 있다. 이러한 점은 소비자 설문에서 구경거리를 위하여 장에 오는 소비자의 비율이 생각 외로 높게 나타남으로써 알 수 있다. 미국을 위시한 선진국들의 시장개방 압력과 우루과이라운드의 등장으로 우리나라는 경제, 사회문화적인 위기에 봉착해 있다. 1960년대 이후 계속되어 온 경제 제일주의 정책으로 우리 민족의 정서와 문화를 보존하는 일에 등한시하여 왔다. 이 때문에 우리 민족 고유의 뿌리를 점차 잃어가고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 도시노점상을 정리하기 위한 목적으로 정부에서 도시 5일장을 개장한 것은 역사의 아이러니라 아니할 수 없다. 이렇게 정부주도로 개장된 5일장이 운영되어 온 지 2년이 되어가고 있다. 개장 초기에는 시에서의 지원도 적극적이고 소비자들의 호응도 좋았으나, 최근에 들어 활성화의 속도가 둔화되면서 도시 5일장의 개념을 재정립할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 정부의 주도로 시작된 5일장이므로 정부의 적극적인 추진하에 풍물시장 번영회와 활성화 방안을 모색해야 한다. 쌍다리 풍물시장의 5일장을 활성화하기 위하여 도시 5일장의 개념을 ${\ulcorner}$국민들의 생활수준이 향상되고 여가를 즐길 수 있는 여건이 형성되고 있으므로 전통문화(향토문화)를 유지하고 시민들의 정서함양에 기여할 수 있는 여가공간 조성${\lrcorner}$으로 규정해야 한다. 이러한 개념 하에 5일장의 주체를 명확히 하기 위해 시청 지역경제과를 중심으로 지자제의 실시에 발맞춰 지역특색에 맞게 5일장을 활성화하기 위한 전학을 수립해야 한다. 서울대형백화점인 롯데 슈퍼백화점이 송파 큰장터나 그랜드 백화점의 향토물산전의 성공은 도시 5일장의 활성화 가능성을 미루어 짐작할 수 있다.

A qualitative case study about mathematics pre-service teachers' deep motivation, pedagogical content knowledge and inner vision (중등 수학 예비교사의 심층 동기, 교과교육학 지식 및 내적 비전에 관한 질적 사례 연구)

  • The aim of this paper is to explore and understand, using in-depth interviews, the participant's enthusiasm for and involvement in studying mathematics and the deeper nature of his/her interest in mathematics teaching. In addition a larger aim is to understand how the individual's interest in mathematics and teaching are linked to his/her larger personal fulfillment. We conducted in-depth interviews with 4 pre-service teachers' subjective experiences focusing on deep motivation, pedagogical content knowledge, inner vision. Interviews focus much more on the participant's spontaneous feeling, consciousness, and state as these arise in the interview, and on past foiling, consciousness and state as they appear to the participant subjectively retrospectively in his/her memory. The output of this research consists of 2 portraits out of 4 individual participants, highlighting and conceptually developing the specific aspects under study; different ways in which individuals' involvement with the subject area affects their motivation, inner visions and academic efforts toward becoming teachers. Larger aspects of pre-service teachers' subjective experiences were sketched by contrasting the two cases. Several suggestions were put at the end to enhance mathematics education concerning curriculum development.

Surface Chemistry in Biocompatible Nanocolloidal Particles (생체 적합한 나노입자와 계면화학)

  • Colloid and surface chemistry have been focused on surface area and surface energy. Local surface properties such as surface density, interaction, molecular orientation and reactivity have been one of interesting subjects. Systems of such surface energy being important would be listed as association colloid, emulsion, particle dispersion, foam, and 2-D surface and film. Such nanoparticle systems would be applied to drug delivery systems and functional cosmetics with biocompatible and degradable materials, while nanoparticles having its size of several nm to micron, and wide surface area, have been accepted as a possible drug carrier because their preparation, characteristics and drug loading have been inves-tigated. The biocompatible carriers were also used for the solubilization of insoluble drugs, the enhancement of skin absorption, the block out of UV radiation, the chemical stabilization and controlled release. Nano/micro emulstion system is classified into nano/microsphere, nano/microcapsule, nano/microemulsion, polymeric micelle, liposome according to its prep-aration method and size. Specially, the preparation method and industrial applications have been introduced for polymeric micelles self-assembled in aqueous solution, nano/microapsules controlling the concentration and activity of high concen-tration and activity materials, and monolayer or multilayer liposomes carrying bioactive ingredients.
