A Study on Crack-Prevention of Pinus Rigida during Drying by Suction Treatment of Polyetylene Grycogen (PEG흡입처리에 의한 Rigida 소나무의 건조균열방지에 관한 연구)

  • 목재의 건조 균열방지를 위한 진공흡입기술의 새로운 목재처리방법에 대해 연구를 수행하였다. 목재의 건조균열 방지를 위해 사용된 ployetylene grycogen(PEG) 처리재들은 PEG-1540, PEG-2000, PEG-4000, PEG-10000이었으며, 진공펌프의 감압정도는 85kPa과 39kPa 이었다. 시험결과, 진공흡입처리에 의한 PEG액의 흡입은 방사단면에 걸쳐 고르게 이루워졌음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 또한 PEG의 분자량이 증가할수록 단위시간당 PEG의 분자량이 증가할수록 단위시간당 PEG의 흡입량과 처리전.후의 함수률의 차인$\Delta$ M.C 는 PEG-2000을 변곡점으로 하여 감소하였다. 그리고 리기다 소나무의 건조균열 방지를 위한 약제 흡입처리에 있어 최적의 PEG 분자량과 농도 그리고 감압력의 조건은 각각 PEG-2000과 30%(wt.)그리고 85kPa임을 알 수 있었다.

  • Development and validation of performance analysis model for dual combustion ramjet engines has been performed. A typical performance model for hypersonic intake flow and supersonic mixing and combustion was demonstrated; Taylor-Maccoll equation for coaxial intakes and a quasi-one dimensional reacting flow analysis with CEA chemical equilibrium for supersonic combustion. The results, thermodynamic data of intake and supersonic combustor were validated with CFD numerical results.

  • 본 논문은 분사제트 주위에 형성되는 와류를 조절하여 제트를 제어하기 위하여 유동가시화, 속도분포 및 난류성분을 측정하는 실험을 수행하였다. 와류를 조절하기 위한 방법으로 제트노즐 주위에 환형관을 설치하여 환형관으로부터 2차제트를 분사 또는 흡입함으로써 제트주위에 형성되는 전단류를 변화시켰다. 2차제트 분사시 주제트 주위에 형성되는 와류의 발달을 억제함으로써 제트 포텐셜코어의 길이가 아주 길어지는 제트유동을 얻을 수 있었다. 환형관으로부터 주제트주위의 유체를 흡입하는 경우 제트주위의 전단류가 흡입비 R=1.3∼l.65에서 대류불안정성에서 절대불안정성으로 바뀜으로써 형성된 와류가 하류에서 제트중심부까지 발전, 결합되는 것을 방지하여 더 긴포텐셜코어와 중심에서 낮은 난류강도를 얻었다. 위의 결과는 환형관 주위에 부착한 깃의 높이 변화에 따라서 변화하였는데, 이것은 깃이 환형관을 통한 흡입유동의 유로역할을 함으로써 제트밖으로부터 흡입되는 것을 방지할 수 있었다. 분사제트 벡터링을 위하여 제트노즐 주위의 환형관을 이등분하여 한쪽으로만 제트주위의 유동을 흡입함으로써 제트주위에 다른 전단류를 형성함과 동시에 Coanda효과를 이용하여 분사제트를 편향시켰다. 편향되는 정도 및 난류성분은 홉입속도 비에 따라서 크게 바뀌었다.

램제트 엔진 흡입구의 점성 유동장 수치계산

  • 램제트 추진기관은 압축과정을 별도의 부품 없이 형상에 의해서 감속하여 연소 압력비를 얻는다. 따라서 구동 마하수와 형상에 의해 흡입과정의 압축 효율이 결정된다. 설계점은 충분한 유량을 확보 할 수 있는 유량과 충격파 각을 조절하여 전압력 손실을 줄이도록 고려되어야 한다. 또한 연소가 일어나면 연소실 압력이 배압으로 작용하고 비행시에 받음각은 변하므로 이에 따른 성능 분석도 고려 되어야 할 사항이다. 본 연구는 국내에서 실험한 형상에 대해 수치계산을 수행하여 코드의 검증과 아울러 램제트 유동장의 수치적 시뮬레이션도 설계단계에서 하나의 도구로 이용할 수 있음을 보여준다. 실험에서는 배압 조건을 얻기 위해 유동 블록키지를 유로 내에 두어 상응하는 배압을 얻었지만 본 계산에서는 압력 경계조건을 직접 사용하였다. 유동이 비정상 특성을 가지므로 시간 정확도를 이차로 가지도록 이중시간 전진법을 사용하였다. 사용한 압력비는 충격파가 카울 끝에 닿는 임계상태에 가까운 12, 13, 14에 대해 계산을 수행하였고 부스터모드로 흡입구 끝이 막혀 있다가 램제트 모드로 바뀌어 연소실 압력이 위의 압력비라고 가정할 때의 비정상 천이 과정을 계산해 보았다. 본 계산은 흡입구 부분만을 떼어놓고 적절한 가정 하에 수행되었지만 연소실 내부도 비정상 특성을 가지므로 흡입구와 연소실을 동시에 같이 계산해야한다. 추후에 전체적인 계산을 진행하기 위한 전 단계로 흡입구 계산만을 수행하여 실험과 잘 일치하는 계산 결과를 얻었고 전체 계산을 위한 연구는 진행 중에 있다.

Optimal Design of Two-Dimensional Hypersonic Intake Geometry (2차원 극초음속 흡입구 형상 최적 설계)

  • The optimal method to intuitively and systematical design hypersonic intakes is reported. In Mach 7 flow condition, the hypersonic intake model designed by theoretical approach is corrected by CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis based on viscous flow condition, leading to the optimum hypersonic intake model. For performance comparison with CFD analysis, the double ramp intake is superior to the single ramp intake. Furthermore, in the off-design condition, the performance of the designed hypersonic intake is little degraded.

  • It is definitely important to measure thrust during ground test when developing air-breathing engine, and in case of air-breathing engine, gross thrust should be calculated considering not only the measured thrust but also the force induced by the air flow of engine intake. Also, side thrust like yaw and pitch should be measured and analyzed using multi-component thrust measurement system. Engine performance was accurately evaluated by calculating the gross thrust of air breathing engine precisely which is analyzed from below serial procedure: labyrinth seal isolation, 1-axis gross thrust calculation, develop multi-component thrust measurement system, and side thrust analysis.

  • The performance of ramjet engine is closely associated with a supersonic intake. In this study, experiments and computational simulations were conducted to observe the internal flow characteristics of the supersonic intake. The supersonic intake which have self-starting characteristics was designed and manufactured. The flow characteristics was analyzed from the experimental results using the supersonic wind tunnel testing and computational results using RANS equation and Menter's SST turbulence model. The detailed visualization results were suggested for the pseudo-shock wave of stable operations and for the inlet buzz phenomenon of unstable operations.

  • Bell mouth inlet is applied in various industries due to the advantage of little pressure loss and accurate flow measurement. In this study, the configuration of the bell mouth intake is designed in a long radius shape, and a suitable grid size was selected to minimize the pressure drop and to prevent the engine damage by foreign objects at outdoor operating conditions. It was able to present a modified pressure drop coefficient equation from two data obtained from the computational simulation and experimental results for the total pressure loss by inlet screen installation.

A Study on the Comparison of Aspirating Smoke Detector and General Smoke Detector Detection Time according to the Fire Speed and Location of Logistics Warehouse through FDS (화재시뮬레이션을 통한 물류창고 화재 속도와 위치에 따른 공기흡입형 감지기와 일반 연기 감지기 감지시간 비교에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: Recently, the number of logistics warehouses has been on the rise. In addition, as the number of such logistics warehouses increases, number of fire accidents also increases every year, increasing the importance of preventing fires in large logistics warehouses. Method: investigated aspirating smoke detectors that are emerging as adaptive fire detectors in logistics warehouses. Then, through fire simulation (FDS), logistics warehouse modeling was conducted to compare and analyze the detection speed of general smoke detectors and aspirating smoke detectors according to four stages of fire growth and three locations of fire in the logistics warehouse. Result: Growth speed in Slow-class fires and Mediumclass fires, the detection speed of aspirating smoke detectors was faster regardless of the location of the fire. However, in Fast-class fires and Ultra-Fast-class fires, it was confirmed that the detection speed of general smoke detectors was faster depending on the location of the fire. Conclusion: It was confirmed that the detection performance of the aspirating smoke detector decreased as the fire growth speed increased and the location of the fire occurred further than the receiver of the aspirating smoke detector. Therefore, even if an aspirating smoke detector is installed in a warehouse that stores combustibles with high fire growth rates, it is judged that an additional smoke detector is attached far away from the receiver of the general smoke detector to increase fire safety.

  • Axisymmetric shear layers around a free jet is forced by co-flowing and counter-flowing secondary jets from/to an annular tube around the jet nozzle. The jet potential core extends far downstream with co-flowing secondary jets due to inhibited vortex developing and pairing. For counter-flowing cases, the axisymmetric shear layer around the jet transits from convective instability to absolute instability for velocity ratios R=1.3~l.65 for the uniform velocity jets. Consequently, the jet potential core length increases and the turbulence level in the jet core is reduced significantly. The jets are controlled better with extension collars attached to the outer nozzle exit because the annular secondary flow is guided well by the extension collars. For the vectoring of jet, the annular tube around the jet is divided in two parts and the only one part is used for suction. The half suction makes the different shear layer around the jet and vectoring the jet by Coanda effect. The vectoring and turbulent components are varied significantly by the suction ratio. The experiments are carried out to investigate the characteristics of forced free jets using flow visualization, velocity and turbulence measurements.
