수송용기 충격완충체 용접강도의 충돌거동 영향 평가

  • 사용 후 핵연료 수송용기의 충돌사고에 대한 안전성은 층격완충체의 층격흡수특성에 지배되며, 충격완충체의 충격홉수특성은 외부의 케이스와 내부 격막판 둥의 철제 구조물과 내부에 삽입된 충격흡수재의 변형특성에 지배를 받는다. 충격흡수재를 감싸주는 철제 케이스와 내부 격막판의 용접 접합부는 일부 부분이 제작공정상 부득이 부분용접의 접합형태를 갖기 때문에 판재나 완전 접된 부분에 비해 강도가 약해 충돌사고시 취약부위가 파단된다. 이러한 케이스 용접부의 파단은 충격완충체의 변형특성을 변화시켜 충격흡수거동이 달라지는 원인이 된다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 용접 접합부의 강도특성을 수송용기의 자유낙하 충돌해석에 적용할 수 있는 해석모델을 구성하고 부분용접된 접합부의 파단강도가 수송용기의 충돌거동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

The Use of Special Washers in Bone Plates for Improved Impact-Absorbing Characteristics (충격흡수 특성의 향상을 위하 내고정용 특수 와셔에 관한 연구)

  • Unlike the usual bone plate and screw fracture fixation, an improved plate fixation method, which can transfer gradually physiological load to bones, is described. The key feature of the present method is to use washers between the plate and the screw. Bio-absorbable materials or non-ferrous materials with good damping characteristics are used to manufacture the washers. The purpose of this paper is to discuss potential advantages of the proposed method, and to show experimentally its improved impact-absorbing characteristics. Vibration experiments are carried out for pig femurs and cow tibias with and without the proposed washers. This experiments show that the washers can drop the first peak value suite substantially in the FRF plots. Although in-vivo experiments have not been conducted, the present fixation method appears to be a simple and effective alternative to the presently used method.

  • In the built-up structure consisting of a stiff beam and a flexible plate, Grice showed that the plate behaves as an energy absorber in narrow frequency bands(called plate blocking effect). This paper deals with such beam-plate coupled structures, where the plate is an energy absorber and the excited beam is an energy path. It is found that such energy dissipation can occur in the relatively broad bands, if different stiffnesses are used in the rectangular plate. It was experimentally verified by Heckl that the energies in terms of one-third octave band averages transferred to the plate(or dissipated in the plate) increase for increased plate damping. This Paper, however, shows that the energy absorption suddenly reduces at the certain narrow frequency bands where the plate damping effect upon the coupled beam is maximum. Also, in order to minimize energy transfer through the beam in terms of one-third octave band averages, it is advantageous to increase the plate damping closer to the excitation point All these results are based on the wane method.

  • Tbis topic is about the development of a 2-dimensional specular reflector design aid software. For a long and cylindrical shaped lamp with perfect diffusing smface, direction and quantity of reflected light flux from a specular reflector strip can be calculated consideJing reabsorption by the lamp itself. Assuming a reflector as a combination of several strip segments, the reflected flux is calculated as position, length and declination of each segment are detennined. At each step, calculated reflected flux distribution and desired flux distribution is compared graphically and numerically, so that roost optimized and efficient reflector shape can be decided by the designer. We think that this software would be useful for designing reflectors for relatively long light sources, such as fluorescent lamp, tubular high pressure sodium lamp, low pressure sodium lamp, and so on. so on.

  • The aim of the present study is to derive an empirical formula relating the absorbed energy and the cutting length for longitudinally stiffened steel palates which are cut by a wedge, idealizing the ship bottom stiffened platings in groundings. This study is based on the test results and the investigations of some parameters affecting the cutting response, described in Part I. By dimensionless ana1ysis of the test results obtained in a quasi-static loading condition, the energy absorbed while a longitudinally stiffened plate is cut by a wedge is expressed as functions of the cutting length, the yield stress, the equivalent plate thickness and the wedge angle. Also, the dynamic effects are incorporated into the static formula such that the proposed formula can be applied to the impact loading situations. The validity of the proposed formula is checked by comparing with the results obtained by the other existing formulas or by the drop-hammer tests.

  • Fracture of mandible is the most frequent fracture among many types of maxillofacial fracture, and reduction of mandible fracture is performed using various methods of treatment to maintain bonding strength of fractured bone. Among these treatment of bone fracture, a semirigid fixation method which can reduce the period of intermaxillary fixation using metal mini plate under general or local anesthesia is spotlighted these days. The metal mini plate used during this semirigid fixation procedure is Titanium which is bio-inactive one and was used widely, but because the side effect of fracture reduction using titanium have been demonstrated recently, fracture reduction using biodegradable plate become to attract people's attention. The purpose of this study was to report the clinical case and review of the literature with the reduction of mandible fracture using biodegradable plate.

평행평판형이온함을 이용한 전자선 흡수선량결정에 대한 연구

  • 물 흡수선량 표준에 토대를 두고 있는 프로토콜에서는 저에너지 전자선의 경우 평행평판형이온함의 사용과 기준 선질 $^{60}$CO 감마선의 물 흡수선량 교정정수를 받은 원통형이온함을 사용하여 고에너지 전자선에서 평행평판형이온함을 교차교정하도록 권고하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국제원자력기구의 프로토콜(IAEA TRS-398)에서 권고하고 있는 절차에 따라 저에너지 전자선에 대한 원통형이온함의 선질보정정수를 계산하고, 원통형이온함과 평행평판형이온함의 교정방법에 따른 흡수선량을 상호 비교하였다. 그 결과 전자선에너지 10 MeV 이상에서는 두 이온함간의 선량이 잘 일치하였으나 전자선에너지 6, 9 MeV에서 최대 3.3%까지 선량 차이를 보여 저에너지 전자선에서는 반드시 평형판판형이온함의 사용하여 선량측정 할 것을 권고한다. 교정방법 차이에 의한 평행평판형이온함의 선량은 서로 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타나 표준기관에서 직접 교정받은 $^{60}$Co 감마선의 물 흡수선량교정정수를 사용하여 전자선 물 흡수선량을 결정해도 큰 영향은 없을 듯하다. 또한 평행평판형이온함을 교차 교정하기 위한 전자선 에너지에 따른 흡수선량을 상호 비교한 결과 20MeV이외 12, 16 MeV의 전자선 에너지에서도 잘 일치하여 교차교정을 위한 전자선의 기준 선질에 대한 연구가 더 진행되어야 한다고 사료된다.

  • It is one of the most important factors to enhance the efficiency of the solar collectors by in-creasing collecting efficiency and decreasing heat loss. The pulse electrodeposition method has been involved in this study to improve characteristics of the solar selective coating on 230cm${\times}$60cm substrates and electrical efficiency of the process. The composition of the electrolyte was 280 g/$\ell$ chromic acid, 15 g/$\ell$ propionic acid, and 10 g/$\ell$ appropriate additive. 230cm${\times}$60cm copper and aluminium sheets were utilized as the substrates. It has been observed that the black chrome coatings exhibited reasonable optical properties for commercialization when the plating parameters were properly controlled; the absorptance was 0.98 and 0.97 and omittance was 0.17 and 0.23 for copper and aluminium substrate, respectively. This study implies that the pulse current electrolysis method could be applied to the large scale substrates, and the various products can be avilable after the consideration of the thermal conductivity, heat transfer efficiency and cost problems of the substrates.

  • The aim of the present paper is to clarify the damage characteristics fur ship bottom stiffened platings in grounding. For this purpose, a series of tests are performed. A rigid wedge is quasi-statically pushed into the high tensile steel plates with two stiffeners. The aspect ratio of plates(a/B) is in the range from 1.0 to 2.5 and the thickness of plates is in the range from 3.4 to 7.0mm. Also other parameters, namely the shape of wedge tip, wedge angle and property/direction of stiffeners are varied. The test is carried out using the 100ton universal test machine. During the loading. both applied force and length of cutting(penetration) resulting in the grounding force-penetration response are measured.

Comparison of Dose and Quality of Copper and Nickel Additional Filter Plate in Diagnostic X-ray Generator (진단용 엑스선 발생장치에서 부가 여과판에 따른 선량과 화질 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the difference of dose and image quality according to the material of the additional filter plate by selecting copper and nickel. First, the absorbed dose was measured using a Rando phantom setting the additional filter plates of copper and nickel None, 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, and 0.3 mm under 120 kVp, and 6.3 mAs. Second, We acquired image according to filter thickness of copper and nickel. by changing the tube voltage of 90 kVp, 100 kVp, 110 kVp, 120 kVp and exposure indexes of 400, 800 and 1600. Third, we obtained the SNR and CNR values using the Image J program and evaluated quantitatively and then evaluated image quality. As a result, Absorbed dose measurements showed that nickel was higher than copper, and the absorbed dose decreased as the thickness increased(p<0.05). Furthermore, Quantitative analysis of images showed no significant difference between the two images according to change the voltage and the exposure index(p>0.05). In conclusion, this study confirms that the nickel addition plate can maintain the current image quality while reducing the exposure dose compared to copper.
