Properties of Alkali-activated Slag-Red Mud Soil Pavement Using Recycled Aggregate (순환골재를 사용한 알칼리활성화 슬래그-레드머드 흙포장재의 특성)

  • Red mud is an inorganic by-product produced from the mineral processing of alumina from Bauxite ores. the development of alkali-activated slag-red mud cement can be a representative study aimed at recycling the strong alkali of the red mud as a construction material. This study is to investigate the optimum water content, compressive strength, moisture absorption coefficient and efflorescence of alkali-activated slag-red mud soil pavement according to the recycling fine aggregate content. The results showed that the optimum water content, moisture absorption coefficient and efflorescence area of alkali-activated slag-red mud soil pavement increased but the compressive strength of that decreased as the recycled fine aggregate content increased.

  • Lots of soil-pavement concrete placed showed a number of problems such as decreasing strength, and durability. In this research, to provide a solution of the problem reported the wasting materials of natural organic lime and magnesia lime were used as a hardener to achieve sufficient performance of soil-pavement concrete. Namely, as a stimulus of blast furnace slag, the natural organic lime and magnesia lime were tested within the mix proportion of 0 to 10 % for each lime to make a new hardener. As a result, in the case of mortar with 1 to 3 % of cement to fine aggregate, 30 % replaced blast furnace slag showed the more favorable results with 5 to 5 % of mix proportion for natural organic lime and magnesia lime.

  • In this search, by evaluating the field applicability of soil mixed pavement of Red mud is mixed into the soil mixed pavement field applicability, and tries to present the basic data about the site application of recycling of red mud and low carbon construction material to. As a result, the conventional soil concrete organization standards (SPS-KSCICO-001: 2003) meets the criteria for a bicycle road, making use of red mud, natural color as well as the natural loess is expressed.

  • 우리나라 농산물 중 최고의 브랜드 가치를 지닌 고려인삼은 최근 국내 외 소비자들의 관심 증가와 홍삼에 대한 인기에 힘입어 국내시장 규모가 1조원대로 성장, 소비자들이 가장 선호하는 건강 기능성 식품으로 자리잡고 있다. 그러나 수삼은 수확 후에 흙이 묻은 채로 바구니 등에 담아 소비시장에서 유통돼 수삼의 선도유지 측면에서 과학적이지 못하다는 평가를 받아왔다. 이런 상황 아래 농촌진흥청 인삼약초가공팀이 "국내 수삼 시장에서의 과학적인 유통"을 이룬다는 기치 아래, 수확 후 선도유지를 통한 소비자 신뢰도 제고 및 기호도를 충족시키고자 수삼 유통시 신선하게 오래 보관이 가능한 '수삼 전용 숨쉬는 포장재'를 개발했다. 농촌진흥청 국립원예특작과학원 인삼특작부 박철웅 부장에게 수삼 전용 숨쉬는 포장재 개발 배경과 특징에 대해 들어보았다.

  • This study is alkali-activated slag-red mud soil mixed pavement of efflorescence characteristics analysis of mitigation measures is drawn to the red mud substitution rate in accordance with the alkali-activated slag-red mud soil mixed pavement of efflorescence characteristics were exhibited.   • For this study, alkali-activated slag red-mud pavement is manufactured to examine the usability of red-mud as a recycling material in the construction industry. In the compaction curve in terms of the replacement ratio of red mud by binder type, the dry density changed gradually depending on the water content, which implies that there is no distinct difference in compaction according to the replacement ratio of red mud. The compressive strength at 28 days was observed to be 18.9~27.0MPa in ASS, and 18.4~28.8MPa in OPC, showing a similar level between the specimens.

  • In this study, the problem of existing soil pavement is a long-term durability lack and crack occurrence. It complements in order to develop the environmental soil pavement material which composites readily blended mineral binder of liquid and decomposed granite soils. It was estimated optimal mixture proportion for unconfined compressive strength, permeability, $Cr^{6+}$detection test, SEM test with age, freezing and thawing test. It resulted mixture proportion of powder types mineral binder for rates of cement : fly ash : plaster was optimal rates of 50 : 33 : 7, and $Cr^{6+}$detection test as a result was a slight production. SEM test with 3days as a result was made Ettringite. It was found that this material was early development of early-strength for chemical. This study indicated that it will execute field appliciability Evaluation test, examination of soil pavement method with decomposed granite soils and mineral binder.
