  • Automated Container Terminals have been being developed over the world for many recent years and more and more countries get interested in it because the amount of containers exported or imported is steeply increasing. Existed Container Terminals were not designed to control this kind of heavily many containers. They would face many structural problems soon or later, although they have managed to do well until now. One of the most important things in developing Automated Container Terminal is to develop the equipment able to transfer the awfully many containers. Those are maybe Automated Transfer Cranes, Automated Guided Vehicles, and Automated Quay-Side Cranes. The word "Automated" means the equipment is operated without drivers and those equipments are able to work without taking any break. Through the researches on the existed transfer cranes, authors decided that the structure of existed transfer cranes is not proper to swift and fast transfer and it′s not impossible to handle so many containers in limited time. Therefore authors have been studying on the proper structure of the Automated Container Crane for past several years and a new type of transfer crane has been developed. Design concepts and control methods of a new crane will be introduced in this paper.

주파수 의존형 최적 레귤이터에 의한 크레인 흔들림 제어계 설계 (Swing Motion Control System Design Based on Frequency-shaped LQ Control)

  • In general, the swing motion of the crane is controlled and suppressed by activating the trolley motion. In many papers reported by us, we suggested a new type of anti-sway control system of the crane. In the proposed control system, a small auxiliary mass(moving-mass) is installed on the spreader and the swing motion is controlled by moving the auxiliary mass. The actuator reaction against the auxiliary mass applies inertial control forces to the container in order to reduce the swing motion in the desired manner. Futhermore the measuring systems based on image sensor have been proposed also. To obtain the robustness for our control system, $H_{\infty}$ based control techniques and other approach have been applied to suppress swing motion. As well known, the robust control technologies based on $H_{\infty}$ control need complicated and difficult process. In the result, the obtained closed-loop system becomes to high order system which may give us many difficulties to apply it to the real plants. Therefore, we introduce an easy approach which is based on LQ control theory. In this approach, we introduce the frequency dependent weighting matrices which give the system filters to shape frequency characteristics of the controlled system and guarantee the control performance.

천정크레인 부하의 위치 및 흔들림 제어 (Position and swing angle control for loads of overhead cranes)

  • This paper presents a systematic design method of an anti-swing control law for overhead cranes. A velocity servo system for the trolley of a crane is designed based on the dynamics of the trolley and its load. The velocity servo system compensates for the effects of load swing on the trolley dynamics so that the velocity servo is independent of load swing. The velocity servo system is used for the design of a position servo system for the trolley via the loop shaping method. The position servo system and the swing dynamics of the load are then used to design an angle control system for load swing based on the root locus method. The combined position servo and the angle control systems constitute the overall control system. In the presence of low frequency disturbances, the proposed control law guarantees accurate position control for the trolley and fast damping for load swing. Furthermore, the performance of the proposed control law is independent of the mass of the load. Experimental results on a prototype crane show the effectiveness of the proposed anti-swing control law.

이미지 센서를 이용한 크레인의 흔들림 계측 및 제어 (Measurement and Control of Swing Motion Using Image Sensor)

The measuring system is based on laser sensor or others. However it is not so useful in real world. Especially, in this paper, the image sensor is used to measures the motions of the spreader and the measured data are fed back to the controller in real time. The applied image processing technique is a kind of robust template matching method which is named Vector Code Correlation (VCC) and devised to consider the real environmental conditions. And the $H_{\infty}$ based control technique is applied to suppress swing motion of the crane. And the experimental result shows that the proposed measurement system based on image sensor and control system is useful and robust to disturbances.

초소형 카메라 흔들림 보정장치의 동특성 개선 (Improvement of Dynamic Characteristics of an Optical Image Stabilizer in a Compact Camera)

  • Optical image stabilization is a device to compensate the camera movement in the exposure time. The compensation is implemented by movable lens or image sensor that adjusts the optical path to the camera movement. Generally, the camera is moved by a handshake, thus the handshake is considered as an external disturbance. However, there are many other vibrations such as car and train vibration. In this paper, the optical image stabilization system in high frequency region is presented. Notch filter and lead compensator are designed and applied to improve the stability without changing the actuator. To verify the performance of the optical image stabilization system in high frequency region, the experiment equipment with moving object is established. It is confirmed that the opticalimage stabilization system does not diverge at the resonance frequency.

마찰 보상을 갖는 컨테이너 크레인의 흔들림 억제 추종 제어 (Anti-Sway Tracking Control of Container Cranes with Friction Compensation)

  • In this paper, we consider the sway suppression control problem for container cranes with the frictions between the trolley and the rail. If the friction effects in the system can be modelled, there is an improved potential to design controllers that can cancel the effects. The proposed control improves the trolley positioning and sway suppressing against various frictions. The proposed synthesis combines a variable structure control and the adaptive control to cope with various frictions including the unknown constants. First, the variable structure control with the simple switching action is designed, which is based on a class of feedback lineariztion methods for the fast stabilization of the under-actuated sway dynamics of container. Second, the adaptive control with a parameter estimation is designed, which is based on Lyapunov stability methods for suppressing the oscillation of the trolley travelling, especially due to Coulomb friction in the vicinity of the target position. The asymptotic stability of the overall closed-loop system is assured irrespective of variations of rope length. Simulation are shown under initial sway, external wind disturbances, and various frictions.

Anti-sway용 암을 가진 겐트리 크레인의 흔들림저감 제어 (Oscillation Motion Control of Gantry Crane System with Arm for Anti-Sway)

  • In practical fields, the sway of crane systems leads to extra stress to the crane structure during the transporting operation and it is in close connection with its life. Usually, when we operate the cranes with high speed and manual control, the sway motion is irreducible. In this paper, a new type of crane system is proposed to avoid the irreducible sway of the crane systems. The proposed system is composed of mechanical arm with function of anti-sway based on conventional line system. By the anti-sway arm, we can realize to prevent the sway of the container box but cannot avoid the oscillation for the overall body of the crane. So, a controller design method to solve the above stated problem must be considered. The problem is solved by adopting the velocity pattern control methods of trapezoidal and curve types and its effectiveness is proved through experimental results.

영역별 수직 투영 히스토그램 매칭 및 선형 회귀모델 기반의 차량 운행 영상의 안정화 기술 개발 (Regional Projection Histogram Matching and Linear Regression based Video Stabilization for a Moving Vehicle)

  • 본 논문에서는 블랙박스 혹은 운전석에 장착된 카메라로부터 얻어진 차량 영상에 대한 영역별 수직 투영 히스토그램 매칭 및 선형 회귀분석 모델을 활용한 강건한 차량 운행 동영상의 안정화 기법을 제안한다. 동영상 안정화 기법은 영상의 흔들림 보정 뿐 아니라 동영상 내 강건한 특징점 추적 및 매칭을 위한 이전의 전처리 과정으로 활용된다. 일반적으로 촬영 과정에서 많은 떨림이 포함될 수 있는 야외 CCTV 영상이나 손으로 들고 촬영된 동영상에 대한 흔들림 보정 등에 적용되고 있으나 영상 내 특징점이 지속적으로 변하고 영상의 변화 정도가 매우 심한 차량 운행 동영상에서는 적용된 사례가 드물다. 본 연구에서는 일반적인 비디오 안정화 기술이 적용되기 어려운 차량 운행 동영상에 대하여 흔들림 보정을 위한 동영상 안정화 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 입력 영상에 대한 영역별 수직 투영 히스토그램 매칭을 수행하고 선형 회귀모델을 통해 영상에 나타나는 수직 및 회전 이동 변환을 선형 근사하여 시간 영역상에서의 입력 영상에 대한 안정화를 수행한다. 제안 방법의 검증을 위해 블랙박스로 촬영된 동영상에 동영상 안정화 기술을 적용하였으며, 운행 중 불규칙한 노면으로 인한 영상의 흔들림이 효과적으로 제거되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

고속 CMOS A/D 변환기를 위한 기준전압 흔들림 감쇄 회로 (A DC Reference Fluctuation Reduction Circuit for High-Speed CMOS A/D Converter)

  • 고속 Flash, Pipelining type의 CMOS A/D 변환기에서 Sampling frequency가 고주파로 올라감에 따라 Clock Feed-through 현상, Kick-back 현상 등의 영향으로 DC Reference voltage 흔들림 현상이 심화되고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 측정 시 외부 Noise가 Reference voltage에 적지 않은 영향을 미친다는 것을 감안 할 때 High speed A/D converter에서 Reference fluctuation 감쇄회로는 반드시 필요하다. 기존의 방식은 단순히 커패시터를 이용했으나 면적이 크고 효과가 좋지 않다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Transmission Gate를 이용한 reference fluctuation 감쇄 회로를 제안하고 흔들림 현상이 크게 개선되었음을 정량적 분석 및 측정을 통하여 증명하였다. 제안하는 회로의 측정을 위해 6bit의 해상도를 갖는 2GSPS CMOS A/D 변환기를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제작된 A/D 변환기를 이용하여 Reference 전압이 40mV의 흔들림이 있음에도 원하는 범위 내에서 동작함을 측정하였다. 본 연구에서는 1.8V $0.18{\mu}m$ 1-poly 5-metal N-well CMOS 공정을 사용하였고, 소비전력은 145mW로 Full Flash 변환기에 비해 낮았다. 실제 제작된 칩의 SNDR은 약 36.25dB로 측정되었고, INL과 DNL은 각각 ${\pm}0.5$ LSB 이하로 나타났다. 유효칩 면적은 $997um\times1040um$ 이었다.

  • 본 연구는 공작기계중 대표적인 CNC LATHE의 검사항목에 관한 문헌연구를 통하여 기초 정밀도 개선 부품 적용 및 정적, 동적 정밀도 보정을 위한 기초 자료를 제시 한다. 그리고 공작기계의 기본 성능과 검사항목과의 관계를 정량적으로 연구하여 각 항목별 허용치를 제시함으로 고품질의 제품을 생산할 수 있는 데이터베이스와 관련 지침을 소개한다.
