Nowadays, the demand of HPI(High-speed Portable Internet) has been gradually increased to support the various services of high speed wire line internet such as xDS. HPI can support high speed internet in anyplace, anytime. For successful development of HPI, the performance should be evaluated according to the cell size and/or the number of users and cell design should be carried out based on these criteria. The previous cellular systems using CDMA technique focus on the establishment of link based on power control but HPI systems consider the QoS (Quality of Service) and its performance based on the scheduling technique. The results from the system level simulation show that the throughput is sensitive to the cell size and the number of users has little impact on it. Moreover, the variation of service delay is more sensitive to the number of users but less to the cell size.

네트워크와 휴대 무선 장비의 발달로 데스크 탑 PC에서만 사용할 수 있었던 각종 인터넷 서비스들이 무선 단말기를 지원하고, 확장되기 시작했다. 이에 따라 휴대 단말기에서 웹에 접근하기 위한 응용 프로토콜인 WAP의 표준화가 빠르게 확산되고 WML을 지원하는 WAP 브라우저를 탑재한 인터넷폰의 개발이 다양하게 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 휴대 무선 장비와 PC간에 메시지를 전달하는 기법을 설계하고 인터넷상에서 폭발적인 이용률을 보이는 인스턴트 메신저에 이 기법을 적용하여 휴대 무선 장비에서도 인스턴트 메신저를 사용할 수 있는 시스템을 구현한다.

본 논문에서는 5개 이동통신 사업자 식별을 위한 사용자 에이전트와 개인휴대전화를 이용한 유 무선인터넷 통합서버에 의해 각 이동통신사업자를 경유한 유선 포털사이트 또는 특정 사이트(URL 접속)에 직접 접속하여 WAP 또는 ME를 동시에 지원할 수 있는 NT 또는 LINUX 통합서버를 구축한다. 이로서 휴대전화를 이용한 입학관리시스템, 휴대전화를 이용한 만성질환자의 원격 진료시스템, 휴대전화를 이용한 방송 순위집계 시스템과 사용자 참여방법, 시청률 및 여론조사, 무선성경 검색 등의 다양한 컨텐츠의 개발이 용이하고, LINUX/UNIX, NT 서버구축이 단순함으로서 이동전화의 장점인 휴대성으로 시간과 공간의 제약을 벗어나 다양한 무선 인터넷 검색이 가능해 질 것이다.

It is necessary to research on wireless position determination technology that enables location based services on Portable Internet. In this paper, I consider the position determination technology based on TDOA belong to trilateration method. That is using the difference of relative distance between base stations and terminal due to the time difference of arrival of downlink signal. In order to design the positioning server, This paper reviews the related research on current status of wireless position determination technology based on TDOA on Portable Internet. And then, it is suggested that system architecture, network interface, the calculation model for position determination, which are adapted to circumstance of portable Internet. Through this research on the positioning server, it is expected to guarantee that low cost and high efficiency of wireless positioning server on Portable Internet will be developed.

Due to rapid development of high speed wire/wireless internet technologies, at the current age, it cares into being one phenomenon that the internet business is able to work on anyplace and anytime. In this environment, a technology of mobile agent provides very useful mechanism for personal handheld devices because of supporting migration as autonomously executable software object Instead of users. Therefore, this paper focuses on Implementing a mobile agent platform for personal handheld devices, which supports mobile agents in wire/wireless internet environment. To do this, we construct the system with modified JAMAS, based on Java, in our previous research. Based on our proposed system, we implement the browsing application in personal handheld devices to access the MIB(Management Information Base) on SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol), which supervises network environment on wire/wireless internet. This proposed application system is easily to access the MIB managed by SNMP agent. then provides network map viewer and updates the MIB through the browser to network administrator. As a result, we can support application area of mobile agents such as hare network management. M-Commerce, integration of remote database systems, active message and active network with personal handheld devices.

2.3GHz 대역을 활용하는 초고속 무선 인터넷 서비스는 국가적으로 미래 통신인프라의 방향을 제시한다는 점에서 현재 크게 관심을 갖게 하는 서비스이다. 휴대 인터넷 서비스는 무선랜과 이동통신 무선 서비스를 보완하는 서비스로써 높은 주파수 효율을 가지고 있으며 저렴한 가격으로, 이동 중에도 $1{\sim}4Mbps$의 빠른 속도를 지원할 수가 있는 서비스를 제공한다. 또한 간단한 망 구조로 투자비를 낮출 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 초고속 휴대인터넷 서비스에 대하여 개괄하고, 휴대인터넷 서비스의 종류와 현재 동향 그리고 LG 전자에서 설치한 어레이콤사의 i-Burst시스템의 특징 및 장점을 고찰하고 향후 발전 방향을 알아본다.

Nowadays, various wireless internet contents are serviced in a cellular phone. However, because of the memory limit of the cellular phone, you should delete the wireless internet contents periodically. Also it has been quite inconvenient to move the existing data to a new cellular phone. In this paper I proposed MobileFolder to reuse wireless internet contents and provided a simple client application in a VM environment.

본 논문에서는 고정된 공간에서 유선 인터넷망에 접속하던 환경에서 벗어나 휴대성과 이동성의 특징을 갖는 개인 휴대 단말기(PDA)에 무선 랜 카드를 장착하여 이동 중에도 무선 인터넷에 접속하여 실시간으로 영상을 전송 받아 원하는 장소를 감시 할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하여 공간적 한계를 극복하는데 초점을 맞추고 있다.
