Development of Shading Tape for Manufacturing of Touch Panel Display with High Screen-to-Body Ratio (기기 면적 대비 높은 화면 비율을 갖는 터치 패널 디스플레이 제조를 위한 차광 테이프의 개발)

  • The design trend of information technology is quickly changed with the times. The design trend of information display is a bezel-less display, recently. The bezel-less display or edge-less display is a new trend of mobile phone display. In this study, the shading tape was manufactured for assembling process of touch panel display with the high screen-to-body ratio so-called bezel-less display. The shading tape was fabricated on PET film with the UV curable acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive(PSA) by roll-to-roll process. The UV curable PSA was synthesized with the eco-friendly toluene-less manufacturing method. The adhesive power of manufactured shading tape was investigated by motorized tensile testing machine. The thixotropic, maintaining property of cutting shape, was characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope. As results, the shading tape exhibits high adhesive power and good thixotropic performance suitable for assembly process of touch panel display. The functional shading tape will be expected to improve productivity of assembly process of touch panel display.

Design of Dual-Band Monopole Antenna Fed-by CPW Using Asymmetric Ground Plane (CPW 급전 비대칭 접지면을 이용한 이중 대역 모노폴 안테나 설계)

  • The folded monopole antenna for applying mobile communications equipment and wireless devices is presented in this paper. By using the coplanar waveguide feed the operating bandwidth has improved. In addition, each individual resonant elements has occurred different capacitance through asymmetrical left and right ground planes; therefore, the bandwidth has kept and the impedance matching has stabilized. By measurement results, the impedance bandwidth under VSWR< 2.5:1 are $824{\sim}890$ MHz and the $1,500{\sim}2,170$ MHz, also radiation patterns has omni-directional characteristics. The maximum gains of the proposed antenna are 5.52, 0.64, 3.00, 0.94 and 1.85 dBi at 850, 1,575, 1,790, 1,930 and 2,050 MHz respectively. The proposed antenna will be adapted to the internal antenna of the mobile communication devices.

  • As mobile devices evolve and digital convergence trend is here to stay, mobile phones are built with multiple functions including cameras, MP3s, TVs and game consoles. As a consequence, such multi-functional mobile phones come to spend more power, facilitating development of next-generation ultra-capacity lithium ion battery. In addition, environmental regulations and rising oil prices cause demand for hybrid cars to keep rising. Accordingly, more and more attention is being paid to medium and large batteries and more efforts are being made to realize lower battery prices, higher outputs and stability. This study presented a patent technology related to the lithium ion battery packing that allows reducing processes related, increasing productivity and recycling parts other than the body. The lithium ion battery pack to which protection circuits are elastically attached provides short circuit protection for the circuit and the body and makes electric connection of the circuit and the body easier.

A Design of the Smart Control System for Industrial Automation Equipment (산업용 자동화 장비를 위한 스마트 제어 시스템 설계)

  • Smart devices are used in a variety of industries, because applications for them are easy to develop and portable. However, industrial equipment can cause security problems for information and accidents when controlling the actuator of the equipment at a remote location. In this paper, we studied methods of solving these problems and the advantages of applying smart control systems to industrial equipment. We propose a manual manipulation method using queries and a smart control access procedure for controlling equipment using a smart device. In addition, we propose a data transmission method employing multiple encryption protocols and a user authentication method using unique information from the smart device and Q & A as the communication data protection and user authentication methods, respectively. In order to evaluate its performance, an operation test of the smart control system and user authentication comparison experiment were performed. In order to understand the advantages of applying the smart control system to the equipment, we conducted a comparative experiment with a teach pendant and evaluated its reaction time in case of error.

  • 사회적 약자인 청각장애인들의 수화통역 서비스가 대체로 만족스럽게 제공되고 있지 않다. 또한 청각 장애인수 대비 수화통역가의 부족과 일반인과의 즉각적인 소통이 어려워 일상생활에 불편함을 느끼는 청각장애인들이 많다. 이의 문제점을 착안하여 본 연구에서는 청각장애인들이 휴대할 수 있는 수화 통역기를 개발하고자 한다. 청각장애인들의 손동작을 인식할 수 있는 3D센서 립모션(Leap-Motion)을 통해 수화를 인식한다. 립모션 센서와 안드로이드 스마트폰 및 태블릿과 연결하여 손 데이터 값을 분석했다. 분석한 손 데이터 값과 특정 지화(자음, 모음)와 간단한 인사말의 수화동작을 취할 때, 트래킹되는 데이터 값을 비교하여 수화를 인식하고 수화와 인식된 지화의 자음과 모음을 글자로 완성시켜, 텍스트와 음성으로 출력한다. 또한 립모션이 부착된 하드케이스 안에 스마트기기 탈착이 가능한 실용성 있는 수화통역기 제품 개발에 대한 연구를 목표로 하고 있다.

Morphological Characteristics Optimizing Pocketability and Text Readability for Mobile Information Devices (모바일 정보기기의 소지용이성과 텍스트 가독성을 최적화하기 위한 형태적 특성)

  • Information devices such as a cellular phone, smart phone, and PDA become smaller to such an extent that people put them into their pockets without any difficulties. This drastic miniaturization causes to deteriorate the readability of text-based contents. The morphological characteristics of size and proportion are supposed to have close relationships with the pocketability and text readability of mobile information devices. This research was aimed to investigate the optimal morphological characteristics to satisfy the two usability factors together. For this purpose, we conducted an controlled experiment, which was designed to evaluate the pocketability according to $size(4000mm^2/8000mm^2)$, proportion(1:1/2:1/3:1), and weight(100g/200g) of information devices as well as participants' pose and carrying method. In the case of male participants putting the models of information device into their pockets, 2:1 morphological proportion was preferred. On the other hand, the female participants carrying the models in their hands preferred 2:1 proportion$(size:4000mm^2{\times}2mm)$ and 3:1 proportion$(size:8000mm^2{\times}20mm)$. For the device in the size of $4000mm^2$, it was found that the weight of device has an significant effect on pocketability. In consequence, 2:1 proportion is optimal to achieve better pocketability. The second experiment was about how text readability is affected by size $(2000mm^2/4000mm^2/8000mm^2)$ and proportion(1:1/2:1/3:1) of information devices as well as interlinear space of displayed text(135%/200%). From this experiment result, it was found that reading speed was increased as line length increased. Regarding the subjective assessment on reading task, 2:1 proportion was strongly preferred. Based on these results, we suggest 2:l proportion as an optimal proportion that satisfy pocketability of mobile information devices and text readability displayed on the screen together. To apply these research outputs to a practical design work efficiently, it is important to take into account the fact that the space for input devices is also required in addition to a display screen.

웹캠에 의한 무선원격 모니터링이 고객충성도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

  • 서비스 산업의 비중이 날로 높아지는 시기에 마케팅 전략 수립에 있어서 차별화된 서비스 품질 제공이 더욱 중요하게 인식되고 있다. 감시카메라 등으로 사용되면서 문제점만 부각되고 있는 웹카메라를 감시나 보안 등의 목적 외에 차별화된 서비스 품질 제공의 수단으로 활 용되기 위한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 유치원/어린이집 학부모를 대상으로 웹캠에 의한 원격모니터링 서비스의 서비스 품질 구성요인에 대한 재구성 및 서비스 품질요인이 고객의 성향에 따라 어떻게 인식되는지에 대한 연구를 실시하였으며, 웹캠에 의한 서비스 품질 구성요인이 고객만족 및 고객충성도에 주는 영향요인을 규명하였다. 이러한 변수의 상관관계와 영향 현상을 연구하기 웹캠 원격모니터링 서비스를 사용하고 있는 유치원/어린이 집을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 연구결과 웹캠 모니터링 서비스 품질 구성요인을 영상품질 및 전송속도, 이동성 및 휴대성, 편의성, 가시성, 신뢰성으로 설정하였으며, 그 중 영상품질 및 전송속도가 고객만족 영향요인으로 나타났다. 이러한 서비스 품질 구성요인들을 고객이 인식함에 있어서 고객성향 중에서 디지털 기기 숙련도가 서비스 품질 인식에 영향을 주는 요인으로 나타났다. 그 외 인구통계학적 변인과 서비스 품질 구성요인들은 유의미하지 않은 것으로 분석되었는바, 이러한 결과가 마케팅적으로 어떻게 활용될 수 있는가가 논의된다.

  • Nowaday, a system development which does to the foundation is drawing the concern that new foundation technique for Web application development. Various terminal is a service supply is not easy. Because of the protocol to use differs for every each terminal, We must make a server program the each every protocol. A reservation system setup itself was not easy at the reason. Because of the importance of the field which is the mobile have been enlarged to a day, We have been raised in reality to the problem to solve. This facility which the technique supports in the paper to use, We can offer the service to server program. The design will try to implement about the reservation system besides.

  • Compared with the desktop, the MIDP on J2ME has many limitations on memory capacity, screen size, networking ability and processing speed. In addition, screens vary with device providers in size, and service platforms vary with mobile service providers. These factors require additional functions to server and cause overheads of the server. On this paper, we propose the wav to reduce overheads of the server and to overcome disadvantages of the J2ME clients, with the server that provides the service of data in XML document type and the client on MIDP that is developed including the kXML parser.

  • Proportionately with a rapid development of mobile instrument technology, the number of mobile contents utilizing computing environment's graphic technology or image processing is increasing. In this paper, I designed a middleware which supports facial detection and recognition system based WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability), the Korean standard mobile platform. The facial recognition middleware introduced the object oriented concepts, to apply to recognition security and other contents by using mobile camera. This can reduce the development time and cost by dividing process while developing software. Therefore, it would be applied to content security or technology transfer with other company. Facial recognition middleware system is composed of face detection module and face recognition module, and proposes the application contents design method based on WIPI platform.
