This paper presents an experimental investigation in order to evaluate fresh and hardened properties of LP (Limestone Powder) blended cement concrete. The cement contents of the mixtures are replaced by LP in the range of 10%, 15%, 25%, and 35%, while a control mixture is prepared with only OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement). The fresh concrete properties like slump and air content are similar to those of control mixture up to 35% of replacement ratio of LP, however a delay in setting time is evaluated. The hardened properties including compressive strength, flexural strength, and rapid freezing and thawing resistance shows similar results of control mixture up to 15% of replacement. Relatively lower strength development is evaluated over 25% replacement of LP. For accelerated carbonation test, resistance to carbonation rapidly decreases with increasing LP replacement ratio due to the limited amount of $Ca(OH)_2$. From the study, LP replacement under 15% can be adopted considering reduction of strength and resistance to carbonation.
In this work, in order to inrprove the flexural strength of hardened portlarid cerncrit paste, mix ing water was reduced to water ccrnent ratio of 0.1 aid water soluble polymer such as hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose was adclelri to the paste to obtain a better dispersion. The paste was kneaded by the twin roll mill for cornpact and homogeneous mixing. The high strength mechanism of the hardened cement paste may be due to the removal of macropores larger than 100${\mu}m$, the reduction of capillary pores acting as the passage of crack propagation, the increase of Young's moculus with iticrease of unhytlratcci cenxxnt ard the incicasc of fracture toughnevs with the crack toughening mechanism (grain bridging, polymer fibril bridging and fritional inter-locking).
The reinforced high-strength-concrete beam subjected to flexure moment behaves more brittly than the moderate-strength-concrete beam reinforced with equal reinforcement ratio($\rho$/$\rho_b$). Test results show that when the concrete strength exceeds 830kg/$cm^2$, the maximum reinforcement ratio should be less than $0.6{\rho}_b$ for ductile behavior (${\rho}_b$=balanced steel ratio). The ratio of flexural strength between experimental results and analytical results with rectangular stress block decrease as the compressive strength of concrete increase. The shape of the compressive stress block distributed triangularly. because the ascending part of the stress-strain curve shows fairly linear response up to maximum stress in contrast to the nonlinear behavior of the medium and low strength specimens.

In this study, the flexural behavior of high strength concrete members with different curing condition of 90 MPa of compressive strength was investigated. Experimental parameters included normal and low temperature curing conditions, tensile steel amount and concrete compressive strength. 8 beam members were fabricated and flexural tests were carried out. Crack spacing, load-deflection relation, load-strain relation and ductility index were determined. Experimental results show that as the amount of rebar increases, the number of cracks increases and the crack spacing decreases. The higher the concrete strength, the smaller the number of cracks, but the effect is significantly smaller than the amount of rebar. As a result of comparison with the proposed average crack spacing in the design criteria, the experimental results are slightly larger than the results of the proposed formula, but the proposed formula does not reflect the concrete strength and curing conditions. The ductility index of normal temperature cured members was 3.36~6.74 and the ductility index of low temperature cured members was 1.51~2.82. The behavior of low temperature cured members was found to be lower than that of normal temperature cured members. As a result of comparing the ductility index with the existing studies similar to the experimental members, the ductility index of the high strength concrete member was larger than the ductility index of the ordinary strength concrete of the previous study. Further research is needed to understand more specific results.

This study evaluates the mechanical properties of steel fiber reinforced porous concrete for pavement according to content of slag aggregate and fly ash to elicit the presentation of data and the way to enhance its function for the practical field application of porous concrete as a material of pavement. As a result, void ratio and permeability coefficient of porous concrete for pavement increased a little as mixing rate of slag aggregates increased. Void ratio and permeability coefficient increased a lot as mixing rate of fly ash decreased. As fly ash was mixed, national regulation of permeable concrete for pavement(8% and 0.1 cm/sec) was met. Compressive strength and flexural strength decreased as mixing rate of slag aggregates increased, but they increased a lot as mixing rate of fly ash increased. Even when slag aggregates were mixed 50% with 5% fly ash mixed, national regulation of pavement concrete(18MPa and 4.5MPa) was met. In addition, compared to non-mixture, flexural strength increased about 22.8% when 0.75vol.% of steel fiber was added. Regarding sliding resistance, BPN increased as mixing rate of slag aggregates increased. But BPN decreased as fly ash was mixed. Compared to crushed stone aggregates, abrasion resistance and fleers-thaw resistance decreased as mixing rate of slag aggregates increased. When fly ash was mixed, abrasion resistance and freeze-thaw resistance improved remarkably. Compared to non-mixture, 10% mixture of fly ash improved abrasion resistance and freeze-thaw resistance about 5.6% and 14.3 respectively.
Chemical admixture stabilization has been extensively used in both shallow and deep stabilization in order to improve inherent properties of the soil such as strength and deformation behavior. An increment in strength, a reduction in compressibility, an improvement of the swelling or squeezing characteristics and increasing the durability of soil are the main aims of the admixtures for soil stabilization. Recently, the various advanced cement stabilizer mixing technique was developed. Advanced cement stabilizer mixing technique is environmentally-friendly and has an excellent mixing property and outstanding mixing speed. In this study, to develop the rural road pavement technology using cement stabilizer, compaction and unconfined compression test were performed with various mixing ratio and two types of soil(clay and silty soil). And the freezing/thaw test and bending strength test performed to develop suitable cement stabilizer material for stabilization of rural road. Based on the test results, the liquid types of cement stabilizer material and silty soil mixture are most suitable for rural road construction and although the mixing ratio is low, cement stabilizer mixture is effective for durability of rural road surface layer.
To develop environmental-friendly insulating composite materials, natural cellulose and porous ceramic balls were used as core materials and activated Hwangtoh was used as a binder. Various specimens were prepared with different water/binder ratios and core material/binder ratios. The physical properties of these specimens were then investigated through compressive strengths, flexural strengths, absorption test, hot water resistance test, pore analysis, thermal conductivity, and observation of micro-structures using scanning electron microscope. Results showed that the maximum compressive strength varied appreciably with the water/binder ratios and core material/binder ratios, but the flexural strength increased with the core material/binder ratios regardless of water/binder ratios. The compressive strength and the flexural strength measured after the hot water resistance test decreased remarkably compared to those measured before test. The pore analysis measured after the hot water resistance test showed that total pore volume, porosity and average pore diameter decreased, while bulk density increased by the acceleration of hydration reaction of binder in the hot water. The thermal conductivity decreased gradually with an increase of core material/binder ratios. It can be evaluated that the composite insulation materials having good insulating properties and mechanical strengths can be used in the field.

This study investigated mechanical properties of the concrete using standard contents which was existent fibers in korea to apply the method for reducing crack of the non-reinforced concrete for the public space of an apartment with a fiber reinforcement. Results were summarized as following. The slump was slightly declined corresponding to the increase of the surface area and bridge effect of the fibers. For properties of the hardened concrete, the compressive strength was slighty reduced caused by the decrease of bonding strength between fiber and cement paste. The tensile strength was little increased according to bridge effect of the fibers, and the flexible strength and length change due to the drying shrinkage did not showed remarkable tendency.
The results of an experimental study on the manufacture and the mechanical properties of fiber reinforced fly ash$\cdot$lime$\cdot$gypsum composites are presented in this paper. 'The composites using fly ash, lime, and gypsum were prepared with various fibers (PAN-derived and Pitch-derived carbon fiber, alkali-resistance glass fiber) and a small amount of polymer emulsion-styrene butadiene rubber latex (SBR). As the test results show, the manufacturing process technology of fly ash$\cdot$lime$\cdot$gypsum composites was developed and its optimum mix proportions were successfully proposed. And the flexural strength and toughness of fiber reinforced fly ash$\cdot$lime $\cdot$gypsum composites were increased remarkably by fiber contents, but the compressive strength of the composites were influenced by the kinds fiber more than by the fiber contents. Also, the addition of a polymer emulsion to the composites decreased the bulk specific gravity, but the compressive and flexural strength, and the toughness of the composites were not influenced by it, but were considerably improved by increasing fiber contents.
This study was performed to obtain the basic data which can be applied to the use of foamed mortars using foaming agent of prefoamed type. The data was based on the properties of foamed mortars depending upon various mixing ratios of cement to fine aggregates, flow values and foam-cement ratio to compare those of cement mortar. The results obtained were summarized as follow; 1. At the mixing ratio of 1:0 and the foam-cement ratio of 6.00%, the increasing rate of water-cement ratio was 25% by flow $200{\pm}5mm$, 28% by flow $240{\pm}5mm$ and 32% by flow $280{\pm}5mm$. But it decreased as the mixing ratio gets poorer. The result showed that water amount increased because of the high viscosity caused by the increase of foam-cement ratio. The decrease of water-cement ratio was the greatest when the foam-cement ratio was 1.50%. 2. Absolute aridity bulk density of foamed mortars decreased with the increase of foam-cement ratio and the decrease of flow values. 3. Generally, compressive, tensile and bending strenghs of foamed mortars decreased with the decrease of flow values and the increase of foam-cement ratio. 4. The compressive strength was in proportion to tensile strength. It was estimated that the compressive strength was 8.8 times of tensile strength. The compressive strength was in proportion to bending strength. It was estimated that the compressive strength was 4.0 times of bending strength. The bending strength was in proportion to tensile strength. It was estimated that the bending strength was 2.1 times of tensile strength. 5. At the mixing ratio of 1:1 the lowest absorption rates were showed by foamed mortars, respectively. It was significantly higher at the early stage of immersed water.
