The Deduction of Evaluation Element and Design of Debriefing System for Fire Training Simulation (소방훈련시뮬레이션을 위한 평가 요소 도출 및 디브리핑 시스템 설계)

  • 긴급 상황이 많은 일선 소방관들에게 실제 화재 상황에서 대응할 수 있는 능력을 고양하고자 소방관들을 위한 훈련용 시뮬레이션 게임을 연구 개발하고 있다. 이러한 훈련용 시뮬레이션 게임을 소방관들이 개인이나 팀으로 게임을 마쳤을 때, 훈련 성취도를 분석하고 평가할 수 있는 정보를 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 훈련용 시뮬레이션 게임에서 훈련 성취도를 분석하고 평가할 수 있는 객관적 평가 요소를 도출하여 디브리핑 시스템에 적용한다. 이러한 디브리핑에 대한 최종 결과 데이터를 통해 훈련생은 시뮬레이션과 실세계를 연결할 수 있고 훈련에 대한 참여도와 목표의식, 그리고 성취감을 얻을 수 있다.

Development and Usability Analysis of a Serious Simulation Game on the Smart Phone (스마트폰 기반 기능성 시뮬레이션 게임 개발 사례 분석)

  • Various types of games have been published in a smart phone game market. However, there are little serious simulation games among them. In this study, parking simulation game has been developed and published on the Apple app store and Android market, to analyze the usability and prospects of the smart phone based serious simulation game. Developed game was designed to give users realistic simulation experience with immersion in the smart phone environment. In case of Apple app store, more than 300 thousands download have been recorded. This means serious simulation games have much more potential for commercial value, even though there are constrains with small display and user interface.

  • To minimize a negative cognition of the game, recently the game industry has been researched of serious games such as medical game, tutoring game, advertisement and game training simulation game. The development and method of those serious games is far less formalized than other software development and is still in the beginning stages. We will define three types of advertisement games in the paper and propose a serious game development method which is based on traditional activities culture. Also we will explain element technologies and process for developing a serious game and apply a suggested method to YOOT games which is a typical Korea traditional game among several games.

Development of a Serious Game for Rehabilitation Training using 3D Depth Camera (3D depth 카메라를 이용한 재활훈련 기능성 게임 개발)

  • This paper proposes a serious game for rehabilitation training targeting old persons and patients for rehabilitation. The serious game suggested for rehabilitation training provides the whole body movement recognition-based interface using the 3D depth camera. When the user stands before the camera, it distinguishes the user from the background and then recognizes the user's whole body with 15 joints. By analyzing the changes of location and direction of each joint, it recognizes gestures needed for the game. The game contents consist of the games for upper limb training, lower limb training, whole body training, and balance training, and it was realized in both 2D and 3D games. The system suggested in this article works robustly even with the environmental changes using the 3D depth camera. Even with no separate device, the game recognizes the gestures only using the whole body movement, and this enhances the effect of rehabilitation.

  • In the field of defense M&S, we are actively pursuing researches that interoperable multiple war game models to simulate various combat environments at the same time. Although the 'unit DB(Database)' for operating the war game models is originated from the identical data, it has been recognized that the method of expressing the attribute of the data is different and the cross reference is impossible. As a result, it makes unnecessary time and effort in establishing the same unit DB in the organizations that operate the war game model. In this study, a method of reusing the unit DB of the training war game model to the analysis war game model with similar resolution and simulated logic was applied to the actual field. For this purpose, we defined the procedure for converting the unit DB by analyzing metadata of the 'Chang-Jo21', a combat training model for corps and division, and the 'Vision21', an analysis model for corps and division operation plan. And we introduced an algorithm that can map different metadata of two unit DBs. This study was meaningful as the first attempt to map and integrate heterogeneous metadata semantically for the reuse of unit DB between different war game models in defense M&S field. Also, it provided implications for the necessity of paradigm shift that reuse of the unit DB between two different war game models is possible and the need for standardization of the unit DB metadata in the defense M&S filed.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 노년층의 치매 예방을 위해 노년층에게 익숙한 매체와 컨셉으로 게임을 제안 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 노년층을 위한 보드게임 개발 요소 7가지를 제안하고, 이 중 인지력 저하 예방을 위해 시간차회상훈련을 중심으로 노년층에게 익숙한 환경인 '장독대'를 컨셉으로 보드게임 "옹기종기"를 제안하고, 프로토타입을 개발하였다.

  • This study explored the effects of neurofeedback on electroencephalogram, impulsivity, sensation seeking, game addiction symptoms and game craving of university students with game addiction symptoms. Twelve university students participated in this study, six were assigned to the experimental group, and the rest were assigned to the control group. The experiment group received 20 sessions of neurofeedback, but the control group received any treatment. The neurofeedback group showed more significant improvement in EEG, game addiction symptom severity and impulsivity than control group, and the improvements were maintained at follow up.

  • 가상현실 기반 훈련시스템은 3D 모델링 기법으로 개발되어 실시간 렌더링(Realtime Rendering)되는 훈련용 콘텐츠와 운동감 제공을 위한 모션플랫폼, 촉감 제공을 위한 햅틱장치 등 다양한 하드웨어를 이용하여 인간 감각에 대한 모의 체험환경을 제공함으로써 높은 훈련 몰입감을 제공한다. 훈련시스템의 구성요소 중 하드웨어들은 설계 성능을 바탕으로 정량적 시험평가로서 검증(Verification)과 확인(Validation)이 가능하나, 훈련환경에 대한 사실적 가시화가 요구되는 훈련용 콘텐츠는 시현을 위한 실시간 렌더링 성능 등의 정량적 시험평가 만으로 검증과 확인에 어려움이 많다. 본 연구에서는 일반 소프트웨어와 콘텐츠 소프트웨어 테스팅 요소 차이와 상용게임 콘텐츠와 훈련용 콘텐츠의 차이점을 분석하고, 훈련용 콘텐츠의 정량적 시험평가를 위한 명세서의 작성과 활용을 제안한다.

  • Recently, increasing numbers of games and simulators are being implemented by employing the physically-based modeling techniques for better realism. In this paper, we propose the implementation techniques for overhead crane simulator based on ODE, the well-known open source dynamic engine. By comparing the dynamic behavior of the proposed system with a commercial engine based simulator, the physical plausibility and the effectiveness of the ODE based OHC simulator are verified. We expect the proposed the OHC simulator can be successfully utilized for virtual training in various educational institutes.

  • 게임의 순기능을 이용해 교육, 훈련, 치료 등의 목적으로 개발된 기능성 게임은 이용자들의 게임 선택을 위해 게임의 품질과 관련된 정확한 정보가 제공되는 것이 중요하다. 기능성게임의 품질을 평가하기 위한 기술적, 비기술적 영역 가운데 비기술적 영역은 기능성게임의 종류를 반영한 요소들로 구성된다. 본 연구는 교육용 기능성 게임의 비기술적 품질 평가 영역을 추출하고 이를 검증하였다. 본 연구를 위해 사용된 방법론은 다른 종류의 기능성 게임의 품질평가 요소 추출을 위한 가이드 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 향 후 본 연구의 결과를 이용하여 교육용 기능성 게임의 품질 평가 메트릭을 개발할 예정이다.
