Purpose: This study aimed to find the factors affecting medical sequelae management service satisfaction among injured workers. Method: This study population were 200 randomised samples of 619 medical sequelae management beneficiaries from April to June 2007 among occupational accident treatment ending workers in 2006. Data were collected through the telephone survey from November 28 to December 7 in 2007. Data were analyzed by ${\chi}^2$ test and multiple logistic regression using SAS 9.1 version. Results: According to the finding of this study, positive perceptions for the purpose and the effect of medical sequelae management were the factors influencing the satisfaction of medical sequelae management service. Conclusions: We recommend key issues to take into account for enhancing medical sequelae management service satisfaction in workers' compensation as follows; explaining the purpose and effect of medical sequelae management to client, evaluating medical sequelae management effect, and the policy participation of medical profession.
Purpose: To evaluate the availability of ultra-wide field fundus photography based on eye steering technique to diagnose retinal breaks in patients with symptomatic posterior vitreous detachment (PVD). Methods: The medical records of patients with symptomatic PVD were reviewed. Retinal breaks were independently identified using four eye steering capture images of ultra-wide field fundus photographs. The sensitivity and specificity of eye steering capture imaging for diagnosing retinal breaks were calculated. Results: A total of 94 eyes of 94 patients were included. Using fundus examination after pupil dilatation, retinal breaks were diagnosed in 42 (45%) eyes. The sensitivity of the eye steering capture imaging was 98% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 88-100%), and the specificity was 98% (95% CI: 90-100%). Of the 58 retinal tears, 28 (97%) involving the superior quadrant, 10 (100%) involving the inferior quadrant, 6 (100%) involving the nasal quadrant, and 13 (100%) involving the temporal quadrant were identified using eye steering capture images. Conclusions: Ultra-wide field fundus photography based on eye steering technique was useful for diagnosing retinal breaks in patients with symptomatic PVD. However, eye steering photography could not adequately replace the fundus examination after pupil dilatation in all cases.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of continuous and detailed follow-up of patients after spinal surgery by reviewing the literature on epidural hematoma and the lower court ruling on lumbar MRI during the judgment on the negligence of postoperative follow-up. In the case of neglecting MRI examination or cooperation after surgery, delaying MRI examination after pain and symptom appeal after surgery, and returning home immediately after neurological symptom development after surgery, negligence in progress observation was recognized. In the case of the case where the negligence was not recognized even after the occurrence of the aftereffects by taking measures against the symptoms, and the case where the scope of the doctor's discretion for the execution of the test was recognized, It is hoped that this study will help prevent medical accidents and disputes related to follow-up after spinal surgery by increasing awareness of the importance of prompt MRI examination, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and power, especially in the case of new neurological symptoms.
The ambulance service time interval, in particular the response time, has been used as an important indicator for the quality control of ambulance services in that it can be improved to increase the probability of survival and decrease the sequela-related disability. Based on the 2011~2014 Prehospital Care Reports in a metropolitan city, this study analyzed the time interval of ambulance services considering the patient's characteristics and chief complaints. If the definition of the time of ambulance services can be refined further, and a variety of economic and social factors and local characteristics would can be analyzed, the quality of the ambulance service is expected to be enhanced significantly.

Objectives : This pilot study examined the physical and psychological sequela of Korean War victims. Methods : Of 255 elderly who completed the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI), we selected 16 subjects who suffered severe traumatic experiences during the Korean War and met more than 2 specified symptoms of PTSD in DSM-IV-TR and 16 controls. Demographic characteristics, medical history including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia and brain infarction, Geriatric Depression Scale, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, suicide scale in MINI, and a scale for the assessment of somatic symptoms were compared between subjects with trauma experience and controls. Results : Subjects with trauma experience were more likely to have brain infarction and diabetes mellitus compared to control group. Depressive symptoms and suicidal risk were significantly higher in subjects with trauma experience than controls. Subjects with trauma experience showed significantly higher scores in Trait Anxiety scale and more complained of pain than controls. Conclusion : This study suggests that traumatic experience probably induce physical and psychological problem even 60 years later. Further studies are needed to confirm the results of this pilot study.
The anemia which is accompanied with chronic primary diseases has been showed most frequently in the clinic. The purpose of this study is to give an account of the effects of the Korean herbal medicine therapy which is based on the constitutional medicine for the patient who has suffered from mild anemia, pneumonia and general depressed condition in the chronic stage of post-cerebellar hemorrhage. The subject is a 75-year-old woman who has had the symptoms caused by hemorrhage, which are headache, dizziness, walking disturbance, dysphasia, and general weakness and so forth. Therefore, she has normocytic normochromic anemia in the hematomancy. We have diagnosed her as Soeumin(少陰人) Ulkwangjeung(鬱狂症) and have prescribed Palmulgunjatang(八物君子湯) in accordance with the principle of Seungyangikgi(升陽益氣). The consequence is that the accompanied anemia and genseal depressed condition have improved.

Methods: To assess the treatment outcomes, we used the modified medical research council scale (mMRC), 6-minute walk distance (6MWD), peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR), St. George respiratory questionnaire (SGRQ). Results: After treatments, the patient's clinical symptoms were improved with mMRC, 6MWD, PEFR, and SGRQ. Conclusions: The Korean medicine pulmonary rehabilitation was effective in the treatment of late complications of COVID-19 patient. Objectives: Delirium after head trauma results in various cognitive and behavioral dysfunction. This study aimed at developing and validating a predicitive model for clinical improvement after delirium based on precipitating factors during hospitalization Method: Data were collected on 45 patients who developed delirium after head trauma using 5 year retrospective design, based on reviews of medical charts including psychiatric consultation reports. The differences of the group who sustained residual symptoms of delirium(The RS group) and the group of full recovery(The FR group) at 4 week follow-up visits were compared by motoric type of delirium, socio-demographic variables, neuroimaging variables and clinical variables of interest. Result: There was significant difference in reason for initial consultation between two groups, in terms of hyperactivity(p<.01). The presence of compensation claim, subcortical gray matter lesion was significantly associated with the RS group(p<.05). Total length of intensive care unit(ICU) admission and of hospital stay were significantly longer in RS group than FR group(p<.01). Conclusion: This study shows that hyperactivity on initial consultation, compensation claims, specific brain lesion were altogether significant factors in explaining prolonged duration of delirium after head trauma. A simple predictive model based on the presence of precipitating factors might be used to identify delirious patients at high risk for prolonged cognitive dysfunction. Early psychiatric intervention would be required for evaluating efficacious management and shortening admission period.
