Objectives: This paper was aim to report the clinical study for five cases received Korean medicine hospital treatment because of hysterectomy sequelae within 5 days after surgery.Methods: The patients having treated with hospital management, from March 1st in 2014 until March 24th in 2015, was enrolled in this study. We collected their age, chief complaint, vice complaint, diagnosis, visit days after surgery, treatment period, and etc. We treated the patients with acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine.Results: All of the cases treated with Korean medicine in this study revealed the recovery. The vice complaint also had improved.Conclusions: Korean medicine is effective on patients having variable postoperative symptoms following hysterectomy. And it is necessary to conduct an additional treatment about menopause symptoms.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to know the clinical effects of hydrotherapy based Ultrasonic spa using SoPung-Tang on pulse wave velocity in patients with sequelae of CVA. Methods : PWV(Pulse wave velocity), Bio Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Pressure were investigated in 20 patients(Experimental group 13, Control group 7) who have been in Semyung Oriental medicine hospital from December 2005 to February 2006. Results : 1. In experimental group, Rt PWV diminished 4.8%, Lt PWV 5.1%. 2. In control group, Rt PWV diminished 3.3%, Lt PWV 1.8%. Conclusion : Hydrotherapy based Ultrasonic spa using SoPung-Tang showed useful effects in patients with sequelae of CVA.

The purpose of this research was to clarify the impact of sexual abuse experienced by female adolescents on depression and to examine mediation effects of distorted beliefs related to sex. Self-report questionnaires were distributed to middle and high school female students in Seouland Gyonggi Areas. The549responseswereanalyzedbyregressionanalysis. Results indicated that 22.2% of the respondents had experienced sexual abuse; the experience of sexual abuse had a significant effect on distorted sex-related belief, but not on depression. Distorted sex-related beliefs, however, mediated between the experience of sexual abuse and depression. This study suggests the necessity for intervention and practical methods for the prevention of adolescent sexual abuse.

Objectives : This study was to investigate the effectiveness of bee venom phamacopuncture complex therapy on the sequelae of peripheral facial palsy. Methods : We observed the effectiveness of bee venom pharmacopuncture complex therapy on three patients who have residual symptoms of Bell's palsy although early stage(0 to 3months) elapsed. H-B grade and Yanagiha's total score was used for evaluating the patient. Results : 1. Deviation of the bee venom therapy on the sequelae of peripheral facial palsy, One patient was improved from 19 to 39, another patient was improved from 25 to 40, the third patient was improved from 15 to 26 on Yanagiha's total score. 2. In the bee venom therapy on the sequelae of peripheral facial palsy, compared with baseline, at final, H-B grade and Yanagiha's total score was increased. Conclusions : Bee venom phamacopuncture can be available for relieving residual symptom of bell's palsy after the early stage.

Objectives : The purpose of this case study is to report the improvement after Sasang Constitutional treatment to patient who has liver disease sequelae. Methods : This patient was treated by Soyangin's Constitutional Medications according to the result of Sasang Constitutional diagnosis. We checked visual analog scale(VAS) to evaluate the symptoms of liver disease sequelae. Results : The general condition of the patient improved by the end of hospitalization. The visual analog scale(VAS) of general weakness dropped from 10 to 3. Other symptoms also showed improvement. Conclusions : This case study shows Sasang Constitutional treatment has effectiveness on liver disease sequelae.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to observe the effect of Needle-embedding therapy on sequelae of peripheral facial palsy. Methods : 27 patients with sequelae of peripheral facial palsy were treated with Needle-embedding therapy. Yanagihara score, number of symptoms, symptoms score were compared between before and after treatment to evaluate the effect of Needle-embedding therapy. Results : After treatment, Yanagihara score, number of symptoms, symptom score were significantly decreased(p<0.05). Conclusions : Needle-embedding therapy could be effective to improve symptoms of sequelae of peripheral facial palsy patients.

골수염은 조기에 적절한 치료를 하지않으면 중대한 후유증이 초래되므로 신속한 진단과 치료가 요구된다. 골수염을 진단하기 위해서는 구강검진, 방사선검사, 병리조직학적 검사, 혈액 및 세균배양검사와 골스캔등이 필요하다. 골수염의 감염과정은 골에 파괴적 및 재생적 변화의 양자를 모두 일으키지만 X선사진소견에서는 임상증상이 발현된 후 약 10내지 14일이 경과되어야만 골변화를 관찰할 수 있으며 그 이전에는 대체로 비특이적 연조직의 종창만을 보인단. 반면에 골스캔을 이용하면 급성염증기의 골질환을 감견하기가 용이하다. 골스캔제의 국소골섭취의 증가는 골의 어떤 부위에서 대사능이나 혈류가 증가된 경우에 일어나기 때문에, 실제로 임상증상이 발현된 후 24시간정도의 조기에 골스캔상은 양성반응을 보인다. 즉 골의 국소적 병변은 어느정도 신생골 형성과 골파괴가 같이 수반되어있고 이러한 신생골은 골스캔제와 친화력이 강하므로 골형성반응을 야기하는 어떠한 병변이라도 골스캔에 의하여 발견될 수 있다. 임상적으로 골수염에 대하여 골스캔을 시행하는 경우는 골수염의 조기진단, 골수염과 봉와직염과의 감별진단, 만성 공수염의 악화여부 및 치료에 대한 반응을 monitoring하기 위해서 시행된다.

Aneurysms of the extracranial carotid arteries are relativeley rare in comparison with the total arterial system, but can cause death or a cerebrovascular accident. The treatment of choice is resection of the aneurysm and restoration of arterial continuity. This report describes two cases of extracranial internal carotid arterial aneurysm, which were saccular type. In both cases, the operations were performed under general anesthesia without shunt. The patients were recovered without any neurological sequelae.

The objective of this study is to report the improvement of one patient with physical sequelas induced by spinal epidural abscess surgery. The patient was treated by acupuncture therapy with pulsed electromagnetic therapy and herb medicine. We evaluated the effectiveness by numerical rating scale (NRS). As a result, the patient improved significantly NRS score. And the patient's symptoms were alleviated. We guess that the causes of the patient symptoms are chronic inflammation and fibrosis of dural. We conclude that acupuncture therapy with pulsed electromagnetic therapy is an effective treatment to reduce the residual pain after spinal epidural abscess surgery. But there is a limit on this study due to sufficient number of case. Further studies will be needed.

Objectives: Electroacupuncture has the effect of recovering paralytic nerves and muscles. To treat disproportional muscles of expression with electroacupuncture, it is essential that we know the correct point of paralytic muscle. Methods: We investigated 20 cases of patients with facial palsy sequelae. We measured nasolabial angles, checked grade of muscle palsy, and tested ENoG. Results: This study showed significant correlation between nasolabial angles with these muscle groups (zygomatic group I, zygomatic group II, orbicularis oris muscle). Conclusions: Disproportional facesare fixed by muscles of expression observed in facial palsy sequelae. We can treat muscular paralysis of these muscle groups with electroacupuncture for more complete recovery.
