Céline Sciamma is a leading female director of her time. She is constantly making works on the subject of women. It can be said that it has pioneered a 'female narrative'. In particular, it shows a unique perspective in dealing with the complexities surrounding the formation of a girl's sexual identity and the influence of peer culture on individuals. In Portrait of a Lady on Fire, 'The Handmaiden', 'The Painter', and 'The Maid' show the solidarity of women without hierarchies in a liberated space where the patriarch is absent, showing a feminist interpretation of classics and a self-reflecting consciousness of women's historical records. Based on the setting of drawing, this film explores the genderization of gaze, gaze and objectification, issues of seeing and power, etc. constructed throughout the history of visual arts. The portrait work of Heloise and Marianne in the film deconstructs the formula of 'a male painter as a viewer and a female model who gazes at herself through the male gaze' and turns the gaze into an interactive process of giving and receiving. The process of exchanging gazes is sealed with a nude painting in which Marianne's face is superimposed on Heloise's body. This overturns the nude painting as the dominant form of engraving the male audience's position in the image through the stylization of the viewing method in the history of Western painting with the erotic gaze of a lesbian in an instant.

The purpose of this study is to primarily explore the characteristics of 'irony' and focus on the process of visualizing it. 'Irony' is one of the rhetorics used to describe the context or situational aspects of writing. This 'Dépaysement' that appears in art history corresponds to 'ironic' rhetoric in writing. 'Dépaysement' is a combination of techniques, which conveys a message through de-familiarizing rhetoric. With the images conflicting with each other in logic on the same canvas. 'Dépaysement' and 'ironic' rhetoric have commonalities in that they produce a situation with opposite or contradictory images and obscure the images and the situation by distorting them into being different from what has usually been known. In conclusion, Ironic Characteristics and Visual technique elements of dépaysement are identical, this study attempts to understand the visual language by analyzing 'the visual irony' that appears in artworks.

Humanism connotes dignity and esteem with the essential idea of human and more human. This paper has conducted a inquiry of the understanding about human and humanism represented by visual image of film. Especially, this study investigated the way to adhere to reflective attitude about human and society. It is based on theoretical discussion of formalism and auteurism and analyzed the way of constructing time-space structure of (by Lars von Trier) which is known the typical formalism film. According to the findings, appeared to appropriate the ocularcentrism aesthetic to film form and give the self-regulation to definite the idea of film art through picturesque imagination of dramatic stage. Such a result means that it converts the filmic time-space to the virtual things and practicalize the classification of the ethical doctrine of innate goodness and innate sin of human and the definition of humanism. Also it means formalism film overturns the existing institutional mode of representation.

Amelogenesis imperfecta, one of the dental genetic disease, is clinically and genetically complex disease. Amelogenesis imperfecta can be classified into three major categories according to clinical phenotype; hypoplastic, hypomaturation, and hypocalcification. Recently a novel gene, Fam83h, was identified to cause autosomal dominant hypocalcification amelogenesis imperfecta, however its functional role in the pathogenesis of enamel defect is not known yet. So this study was aimed to identify the knockdown effect of Fam83h gene on the amelogenin mRNA expression via shRNA transfection into immortalized ameloblast cell line. The result showed that the knockdown of Fam83h did not influence the amelogenin expression. Further study of the functional role of Fam83h gene should be performed to understand the complex nature of amelogenesis as well as molecular pathogenesis of amelogenesis imperfecta.

A graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) with matrix modification has been used to determine trace amounts of arsenic, lead and selenium in rice flour samples. A mixed solution of palladium and magnesium nitrate was used as a matrix modifier to convert the analyte elements into a phase of higher thermostability and to increase the volatility of concomitants in graphite furnace. Matrix modification effects by the mixed solution were investigated for several elements (As, Cd, Cu, Pb, Se, Zn). It has been found that the matrix modifier substantially increase the pyrolysis and atomization temperature, and absorbance for As, Pb and Se. The concentration of As, Pb and Se in rice flour samples were determined by standard addition method with Zeeman background correction after microwave acid digestion. In this method the characteristic concentrations of As, Pb and Se are 26 ng/g, 18 ng/g, 24 ng/g on the basis of dry sample respectively.

The image that reflects the lapse of time can only take the form of segmentation originally. All of the fixation status in an image is shown to us as the form of division(segmentation) whether it is the form of two dimensional paintings or three dimensional sculptures, but not the form of video monitors. This kind of method was extremely developed in the cartoon field. Therefore, the cartoon evolves the subjects of events and finds the worth and meaning through the arrangement of cuts. Also, Animation inquires into the principles of attaching the media continuously. The media is represented in the segmentation according to the lapse of time and I tend to analyze the origination of cartoon formation. Consequently, I tired to find the examples of the prehistoric cuts and forms, the divisions of fragmented cartoon stripes, and the cuts and forms which are composed of narrative and descriptive styles of arrangement, and finally can certify and validate them. In summary, the sections and divisions of the variable kinds of cuts and frames for the expression of the time were corroborated. The potentials of the space usage and the diversity of the cartoon formation were also founded and illustrated to suggest the broader stands of cartoon.

Humankind longed for an image like the sense of sight and has developed history of image on the basis of the will toward record and reproduction. A long period of time was required for accumulation of technology for reproduction of an object, but directing point has always been impression experienced by the 'eyes.' But it has not all been pointing in the realistic image. This study aimed to discuss about its process and directing point of the paradigm of image creation that has been continued together with progress of humankind based on the academic outcomes achieved by Platon. 'Mimesis' classified by Plato required techne how far it may be distant from 'Idea.' Techne went forward in the direction of securing rationality according to accumulation of civilization in the end and reality, the history of mimesis was the process toward 'realistic image' and 'fantastic image'.

요즈음 각종 미디어를 통해 '디지로그' 라는 신조어가 주목 받고 있다. 디지로그의 핵심은 디지털 기반의 이분법적인 사고의 틀을 보완하기 위해 아날로그적인 감성의 도입을 의미한다. 이는 기능중심적인사고로 해결할 수 없는 인간과 컴퓨터의 간극을 새롭게 조명할 수 있는 기회를 제공함으로서 HCI 문제의 새로운 대안으로 떠오르고 있다. 기존 생활가전제품 인터페이스의 중요한 목적은 사용성, 유용성과 같은 기능적인 측면 이었다. 이는 제품자체의 목적을 그 기능에 국한하였기 때문이다. 하지만 현재 에어컨, 냉장고와 같은 생활 가전제품들의 위상은 기능을 넘어 집안의 인테리어의 요소로써의 역할 뿐만 아니라 자신을 대변 할 수 있는 혹은 과시하고 싶은 명품 이미지로써 점차 자리잡기 시작하였다. 또한 TFT Color LCD의 도입은 제품의 상태를 단순히 전달해 주는 단계를 벗어나 심미적인 표현까지 가능하게 해주었다. 이를 계기로 수채화 표현기법과 같은 아날로그 메타포를 활용한 감성적 인터페이스가 시도될 수 있었다. 아날로그 메다포를 활용한 디지털 가전 인터페이스의 첫 번째 단계는 스타일이다. 아날로그적인 스타일을 가장 대표적으로 보여주는 것은 바로 회화영역이다. 에어컨 공기청정기능의 프로그레시브 영역에 수채화로 표현된 산과 들을 보여줌으로서 인터페이스가 하나의 풍경화로서의 접근이 가능하게 된다. 이는 소비자들에게 정신적인 만족감과 더불어 제품의 프리미엄의 이미지를 각인시킨다. 두 번째 단계는 스토리이다. 기능을 디지털의 On/Off에 의거하여 나열 하기보다 기능과 기능사이의 문맥을 스토리로 연결함으로서 아날로그적인 접근이 가능하다. 이러한 스토리의 기준은 사용자의 경험에 기인하여 만들어지게 된다. 마지막으로 활용할 수 있는 단계는 컨텐츠이다. 이제는 한가지로 집중된 기능만으로는 사용자를 만족 시킬 수 없다. 사용자에게 인간적인 체온이 느껴지는 아날로그적인 컨텐츠를 제공함으로서 인터페이스 자체로 감동을 줄 수 있게 된다. 이와 같은 변화는 디지털제품의 궁극적인 목표가 사용자에게 있다는 것을 다시 한번 확인시켜준다. 이제는 똑똑하고 편리한 인터페이스를 넘어 사용자체가 감성적 만족감을 주는 매력적인 인터페이스로 진화 하고 있는 것이다.

MeLuhan's work has enormous power in the study of media theory. In Lee-Sang's works, we can find out the Macluhan's idea, "tactile" writing, which enhances more than one single sense, we-Sang's pieces, viewed as the origin of Korean concrete poetry, are being reconfigured in modern times. After publication, Lee-Sang's esoteric and complicated poem was considered as the result of schizophrenia. However, in the reconfiguring process, his continuously issued poems were reconsidered as a fraction of visual arts and analyzed as the substances of Korean dadaism and an attitude to challenge. But the real importance of Lee-Sang's poem is the extension of a sense; his poem is unbiased either by visual part or by emotional part, though one sense is extended to another sense. Now you will see the reinterpretation of we-Sang's world from the viewpoint of media, 'extension of senses'.

There are several diseases characterized by neurologic abnormalities and renal disease. Joubert syndrome is one of them. Joubert syndrome Is a relatively rare autosomal recessive syndrome. The most significant and constant neurologic finding is hypoplasia of the cerebellar vermis. Joubert syndrome is associated with hypotonia, retinal dystrophy, abnormal eye movement, delayed development, abnormal respiratory pattern (neonatal episodic tachypnea or apnea) and nephronophthisis. We report a boy with Joubert syndrome associated with nephrocalcinosis and agenesis of the cerebellar vermis. This patient had also abnormal eye movement, hypotonia, abnormal respiratory pattern, delayed development and chronic renal failure.
