The Effects of Corneal Eccentricity and Shape on Toric Soft Lens Rotation by Change of Postures (이심률 및 각막형상이 자세변화에 의한 토릭소프트렌즈의 회전에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The present study aimed to investigate the effects of corneal eccentricity and shape on the rotational pattern of toric soft lens by the postural change of lens wearers. Methods: The corneal eccentricity of 41 eyes (aged 20s) having -1.0 D with-the-rule corneal astigmatism (WRCA) was measured, and then toric soft lenses were fitted with the amount of total astigmatism. In lying and straight postures, the rotation of toric soft lenses was recorded by a camera attached to slitlamp and analyzed. Results: Most toric soft lens designed with accelerated stabilization rotated to the temporal direction, which was the lying position direction, regardless of corneal eccentricity, and some lenses rotated to the nasal direction for high corneal eccentricity and corneal type of asymmetric bowtie. There was no correlation between the amount of rotation and corneal eccentricity right after of contact lens wearing in straight and lying posture, however, the amount of rotation was the greater for the cornea with the higher eccentricity after the subjects laying down for some period. The speed of lens rotation started to decrease after the subjects laying down, but the speed was not different according to corneal eccentricity difference. The amount of lens rotation for symmetric and asymmetric bowtie-typed corneas increased more than it for oval-typed cornea, and it was same even with time elapsing. The speed of lens rotation in lying posture was the slowest in asymmetric bowtie-typed cornea compared with other corneal types. Conclusions: From the present study, it was revealed that the rotational pattern of toric soft lens was affected by corneal eccentricity and corneal shape when the wearer's posture changed. Thus, it should be considered for the development of the fitting guideline and the design of toric soft lens.

  • 본 연구에서는 5축 능동형 자기베어링 시스템에 대한 설계 및 제작 방법을 소개하고 모우드 변수 및 임계속도, 과도 및 정상상태에서의 응답 특성 등 관련 동특성을 실험으로 규명하였다. 자기베어링 제어방식은 PID 제어를 이 용하였고, air jet를 이용하여 회전체를 구동할 수 있도록 실험장치를 구성하 였다. 실험을 통하여 안정한 부상특성을 실현하였고, 1,2차의 임계속도를 통 과하여 10,000rpm이상이 회전속도에서도 안정하게 운전할 수 있었다.

  • 현대는 4차산업 혁명 시대로 정보 통신 기술(ICT)의 융합으로 다양한 분야에서 기술 혁신이 일어나고 있다 특히, 이 4차 산업혁명의 핵심은 시스템을 자동화 하는 로봇 기술이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 로봇 기술의 바탕은 시스템에 필요한 데이터 값을 읽어오는 센서 라고 볼 수 있는데 4차 산업혁명 시대에 맞춰 이 센서 역시 많은 종류가 있어 우리 주변에 존재하는 다양한 물리량(온도, 빛, 색, 압력, 전기, 속도 등)을 측정하여 우리가 필요로 하는 데이터 값을 손쉽게 읽어 올 수 있다. 이러한 센서 기술들을 적극 활용해 현대 시대에 뒤쳐진 선풍기를 소재로 하여 선풍기의 모든 시스템을 자동화 하여 사용하는 "스마트 선풍기"를 구현 하고자 한다. 스마트 선풍기의 가동은 선풍기 앞에 사람이 있는지를 판단하여 전원을 가동한다 이를 위해 선풍기 앞쪽에 열상카메라를 장착하여 선풍기 앞에 사람을 인식한다 만약 사용중 자리를 비우게 되면 따로 전원을 끌 필요 없이 센서가 읽는 값에 따라 자동으로 가동을 멈춘다. 또한 열상카메라로 사람이 움직이는지 판단하고 사용자가 움직이고 있다면 방향을 회전하여 해당 방향으로 바람이 가도록 만든다. 바람 세기 또한 온도 센서, 초음파 센서를 사용하여 온도값에 따라, 선풍기와 사람 간의 거리에 따라 바람세기를 제어할 수 있다.

  • 최근 산업 분야에서 리니어모터는 고속, 고정밀도의 요구사항에 따라 회전 모터와 볼 스크류, 벨트를 이용한 직선구동방식보다 빠르고 정확하며, 효율이 높기 때문에 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 리니어모터 중에서 선형 브러시리스 직류 전동기(LBLDCM)는 다른 리니어모터에 비해 소형, 경량이 가능하고, 저속 및 고속의 운전이 용이하며, 기계 가공 정도보다는 엔코더 등과 같은 위치 결정 응용 분야에 적합하며 본 연구에서 사용된 LBLDCM은 코일 가동형으로 영구 자석에 의해 발생된 자계와 가동자 코일에 흐르는 전류 사이에 작용하는 힘을 이용하게 된다. 이와 같은 LBLDCM을 응용분야에 적용하기 위해서는 구동 중에 속도가 변하는 지점에서 발생하는 진동을 줄여야 하며 목표지점까지의 정확한 위치 제어가 필수적이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 다양한 속도 프로파일에 따른 진동에 대해 비교 분석한 후, 이동거리에 따른 적합한 속도 프로파일에 대해 알아보았고, 그 결과를 토대로, 목표지점까지의 위치 오차를 저감하면서 정밀한 위치 제어에 적합한 프로파일을 제시하였다.

A Correlation between Axis-Rotation and Corneal Eccentricity in Toric Soft Contact Lens Fitting in With-the-rule Astigmatism (직난시안에서의 토릭소프트렌즈 피팅 시 축 회전과 각막이심률과의 상관관계)

  • Purpose: A correlation between the rotating direction and rotation amount according to the eccentricity was analyzed in the present study when fitting the toric soft contact lens. Methods: One hundred fourteen eyes of with-the-rule astigmatism in 20s and 30s were appropriately applied toric soft contact lens by the guideline of manufacturer and fitting evaluations and analyzed the rotating direction and rotation amount when fixating at primary position and 8 different directions of gaze. The speed of reorientation and the correlation between the rotation amount and cornea eccentricity were also analyzed when rotating $45^{\circ}$ each toward the temporal and nasal direction. Results: The cornea eccentricity and rotation amount was shown positive correlation. For the gaze of direction, it was identified that the gaze of directions other than the gaze of direction towards the nasal and temporal had correlation, and among them, the gaze of directions to superior and the superior-temporal showed the tendency of decreasing rotation amount as the cornea eccentricity increased. On the contrary, the gaze of direction towards the inferior, inferior-temporal, superior-nasal, and inferior-nasal showed tendency of increasing rotation amount as the cornea eccentricity increased thus, it was identified that the cornea eccentricity showed different correlation according to the gaze of direction. For the case of re-orientational speed, the speed of lens reorientation in the group having the smallest corneal eccentricity was fastest in both direction but was not significantly different. Conclusions: Considering cornea eccentricity to current method of prescribing toric soft contact lens which is based on total astigmatism, it will be helpful to establish the optimal axis stabilization.

  • Structural analyses of a turbine bladed-disk for a liquid rocket turbopump are peformed to investigate the safety level of strength and vibration at design point. Due to the high rotational speed of the turbopump, effects of centrifugal forces are carefully considered in the structural analysis. Thermal load caused by extreme temperature distribution is also considered as an external force applied to turbine bladed-disk. A three dimensional finite element method (FEM) is used for cyclic symmetry structural analyses with the MSC/NASTRAN DMAP Alter. Interblade phase angles are considered to investigate structural dynamic characteristics as a function of rotational speed. Through the numerical analysis, effects of centrifugal and thermal loads on the turbine bladed-disk are examined.

  • Turbo compressor needs high speed rotation of impeller in structure, high rated gearbox and conventional induction motor. This mechanical system increased the moment of inertia and mechanical friction loss. Resently, the study of turbo compressor applied super high speed motor and drive, removing gearbox made its sire small and mechanical friction loss minimum. This paper describes the implementation of the vector control schemes for a variable-speed 131㎾ PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive in super-high speed application.

  • A theoretical study is made of the flow in a confined cylindrical container with differential rotating top and bottom disks. Two kinds of theoretical solution for the azimuthal velocity were obtained: one is an exact solution of Bessel function type and the other is an approximate solution of exponential function type which comes from WKB approximation. Both theoretical solutions are shown to be self consistent with each other as well as a good agreement with previous studies. Moreover, in a range of relatively low Reynolds number, the obtained solution of Bessel function type shows better result than previous solutions.

  • Structural behaviour of PSC box bridge, on which KTX train runs, is analysed up to 500 km/h speed considering 12 stages track irregularity and interaction between bridge and vehicle. To evaluate wheel forces and rotations of vehicle, lateral wheel forces, derail factor and offload factor calculated on the track combining the bridge and 170 m normal track are compared with existing allowed limits. Maximum longitudinal displacement and accumulated sliding distance of the brige bearings for simply supported and 2 span continuous PSC bridges are presented by each running speeds. Long-term friction tests based on EN-1337-2 are conducted between PTFE and DP-mate plates. Finally, the long-term friction tests are proposed to consider the increasing speed of next generation high-speed train.
