  • Recently, lattice conditional independence models(LCIMs) have been introduced for the analysis of non-monotone missing data patterns and of non-nested dependent regression models. This approach has been successfully applied to solve various problems in data pattern analysis, however, it suffers from computational burden to search LCIMs. In order to cope with this drawback, we propose a new scheme for finding LCIMs based on the essential graph. Also, we show that the class of LCIMs coincides with the class of all transitive acyclic directed graph(TADG) models which are Markov equivalent to a specific acyclic directed graph(ADG) models.

  • Even though development paradigm of software has been changing very fast at the beginning of 21st Centuries, there are just few studies of quality and estimation metrics appropriate for Web environment. So in this study after analyzing the correlation between the size of the final code and property of objects, three industrial real world projects written in ASP have been used for deriving programs with high possibilities of faults. And then the size of programs was analyzed to correlate with the number of classes or the number of methods through linear regression. Among the web software with the complex architecture or server, client and un, type or form file written in Javascript for client has the high correlation and the number of methods is well correlated with the size of final code.

  • Even though software developing environment has been changing to Web basis very fast, there are just few studies of quality metric or estimation model for Web software. In this study after analyzing the correlation between the risk level and property of objects using linear regression, six middle sized industrial system has been used to propose the correlation model of size and Number of Classes(NOC), size and Number of Methods(NOM), complexity and NOC, and complexity and NOM. Among of six systems 5 systems(except S06) have high correlation between size(LOC) and NOM, and four systems(except S04 & S06) have high correlation between complexity and NOC / NOM. As Web software architecture with three sides of Server, Client and HTML, complexity of each sides has been compared, two system(S04, S06) has big differences of each sides compleity values and one system(S06) has very higher complexity value of HTML, So the risk level could be estimated through NOM to improve maintenance in case of that the system has no big differences of each sides complexity.

  • Aerial scene is greatly increased by the introduction and supply of the image due to the growth of digital optical imaging technology and development of the UAV. It has been used as the extraction of ground properties, classification, change detection, image fusion and mapping based on the aerial image. In particular, in the image analysis and utilization of deep learning algorithm it has shown a new paradigm to overcome the limitation of the field of pattern recognition. This paper presents the possibility to apply a more wide range and various fields through the segmentation and classification of aerial scene based on the Deep learning(ConvNet). We build 4-classes image database consists of Road, Building, Yard, Forest total 3000. Each of the classes has a certain pattern, the results with feature vector map come out differently. Our system consists of feature extraction, classification and training. Feature extraction is built up of two layers based on ConvNet. And then, it is classified by using the Multilayer perceptron and Logistic regression, the algorithm as a classification process.

  • The failure of the reefer container causes a great loss of cost, but the current reefer container alarm system is inefficient. Existing studies using simulation data of refrigeration systems exist, but studies using actual operation data of refrigeration containers are lacking. Therefore, this study classified the causes of failure using actual refrigerated container operation data. Data imbalance occurred in the actual data, and the data imbalance problem was solved by comparing the logistic regression analysis with ENN-SMOTE and class weight with the 2-stage algorithm developed in this study. The 2-stage algorithm uses XGboost, LGBoost, and DNN to classify faults and normalities in the first step, and to classify the causes of faults in the second step. The model using LGBoost in the 2-stage algorithm was the best with 99.16% accuracy. This study proposes a final model using a two-stage algorithm to solve data imbalance, which is thought to be applicable to other industries.

  • Although Korea's economic and domestic automobile market through the change of road environment are growth, the traffic accident rate has also increased, and the casualties is at a serious level. For this reason, the government is establishing and promoting policies to open traffic accident data and solve problems. In this paper, describe the method of predicting traffic accidents by eliminating the class imbalance using the traffic accident data and constructing the Hybrid Model. Using the original traffic accident data and the sampled data as learning data which use FP-Growth algorithm it learn patterns associated with traffic accident injury severity. Accordingly, In this paper purpose a method for predicting the severity of a victim of a traffic accident by analyzing the association patterns of two learning data, we can extract the same related patterns, when a decision tree and multinomial logistic regression analysis are performed, a hybrid model is constructed by assigning weights to related attributes.

  • Software changes for various kinds of reasons and they increase maintenance cost. Software metrics, as quantitative values about attributes of software, have been adopted for predicting maintenance cost and fault-proneness. This paper proposes relationship between some typical object-oriented metrics and software changes in industrial settings. We used seven metrics which are concerned with size, complexity coupling, inheritance and polymorphism, and collected data about the number of changes during the development of an Information system on .NET platform. Based on them, this paper proposes a model for predicting the number of changes from the object-oriented metrics using multiple regression analysis technique.

  • Urban expansion results in raising the temperature in the city, which can cause social, economic and physical damage. In order to prevent the urban heat island and reduce the urban land surface temperature, it is important to quantify the cooling effect of the features of the urban space. Therefore, in order to understand the relationship between each object of land cover and the land surface temperature in Seoul, the land cover map was classified into 6 classes. And the correlation and multiple regression analysis between land surface temperature and the area of objects, perimeter/area, and normalized difference vegetation index was analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the normalized difference vegetation index showed a high correlation with the land surface temperature. Also, in multiple regression analysis, the normalized difference vegetation index exerted a higher influence on the land surface temperature prediction than other coefficients. However, the explanatory power of the derived models as a result of multiple regression analysis was low. In the future, if continuous monitoring is performed using high-resolution MIR Image from KOMPSAT-3A, it will be possible to improve the explanatory power of the model. By utilizing the relationship between such various land cover types considering vegetation vitality of green areas with that of land surface temperature within urban spaces for urban planning, it is expected to contribute in reducing the land surface temperature in urban spaces.

  • In this study, a novel soft information based most probable classification scheme is proposed for sorting recyclable metal alloys with laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS). Regression analysis with LIBS captured spectrums for estimating concentrations of common elements can be efficient for classifying unknown arbitrary metal alloys, even when that particular alloy is not included for training. Therefore, partial least square regression (PLSR) is employed in the proposed scheme, where spectrums of the certified reference materials (CRMs) are used for training. With the PLSR model, the concentrations of the test spectrum are estimated independently and are compared to those of CRMs for finding out the most probable class. Then, joint soft information can be obtained by assuming multi-variate normal (MVN) distribution, which enables to account the probability measure or a prior information and improves classification performance. For evaluating the proposed schemes, MVN soft information is evaluated based on PLSR of LIBS captured spectrums of 9 metal CRMs, and tested for classifying unknown metal alloys. Furthermore, the likelihood is evaluated with the radar chart to effectively visualize and search the most probable class among the candidates. By the leave-one-out cross validation tests, the proposed scheme is not only showing improved classification accuracies but also helpful for adaptive post-processing to correct the mis-classifications.
