Reaction kinetics between 4,4'-dihexyl methane diisocyanate($H_{12}MDI$) and n-hexanol in toluene with dibutyltin dilaurate(DBTDL) as catalyst was studied by experimental measurements and mathematical modeling. Experiments were carried out at various temperatures, catalyst concentrations and [NCO]/[OH] ratios, and the reaction kinetics were described by two second-order reactions, the one between NCO and OH leading to urethane and the other between urethane and NCO leading to allophanate. The rate constants were estimated by the Runge-Kutta 4th-order method. Experiments and mathematical simulations showed a good agreement for various experimental conditions. The [allophanate]/[urethane] ratios at 90% conversion of initial NCO were estimated to be over 20% for most conditions employed in the present study, indicating that allophanate formation might significantly affect the properties of urethane polymers.

The distinguishing feature of 3D animation is a reproduction of a reality. It is able to make the images that would be impossible with the conventional creative methods, and create the great fantasy. The development of creative image put great emphasis on importance of subject matter. Chris Landreth produces the unique 3D animation that has creative subject matter with great techniques. His work, Bingo(1998) describes social problem of mass-media and human being's agony in expression of theatre of the absurd. It is possible to have common interests in a matter with today's artists. The purpose of this study is to investigate how to express the theatre of the absurd in Chris Landreth's animation. A phase of social life is not only revealed with 3D features and his own techniques but communication capacity of 3D animation is also shown.

This review on ocular toxicology concentrates on the effects on ocular health and contact lens wear induced by systemically used drugs, including alcohol. Many systemically administered drugs produce ocular adverse effects. Fortunately, relatively few are capable of causing significant, irreversible visual impairment. The visual symptoms of acute intoxication are as follows : Drop in vision/visual acuity, diplopia, poor dark adaptation, increase in time for glare recovery, early cataract, decreased depth perception, blue-yellow or red-green colour defect and visual hallucinations. Blinking pattern, tear production, and discoloration of contact lenses can be affected by some systemic or local ocular medications. The cornea, conjunctiva, or eyelids may react to some systemic medications and to some preservatives used in contact lens solutions. The hydrogel contact lens act as a drug reservoir that emits the drug over time. I discuss management of contact lens-induced infectious and inflammatory conditions.

Objective of this study is to be utilized as foundational data of expression methods and to increase children's dream and imagination by researching and analyzing differences of imaginative reaction from patterns of imaginative activities and verbal response for the expressive methods of illustrations. Study subjects are 253 children aged from six to seven years old, and four different types of research tool of which are screens with simple pattern, realistic pattern, omitted pattern and indirect pattern has been used in the empirical survey conducted over two times. Result from provided research tools has shown that difference of diversity can be observed from patterns of imaginative activities and verbal reaction patterns. Especially, in terms of imaginative activities, structural and creative imagination responses can be observed from screens with simple, omitted patterns and indirect and metaphorical patterns compares to screens with simple patterns and direct, realistic patterns, and positive affection to children's dream and creativity and imagination can be found from the result of high imaginative response observed from patterns of verbal reaction.

Sideroblastic anemia is a rare, heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by hyperferremia, microcytic hypochromic anemia, and bone marrow erythroid hyperplasia with the presence of numerous ringed sideroblasts. We describe herewith the case of a rare coincidence of sideroblastic anemia and mitral valve prolapse with resultant regurgitation in a 2-year-old boy. In addition to the inherent propensity for the development of cardiac dysfunction in sideroblastic anemia due to transfusion-associated myocardial iron overload and chronic anemia, a coincidence of MVP will further increase the likelihood of the morbidity or mortality of th patient. in this patient. After response to pyridoxine, the patient remains in good condition with stable hemoglobin levels.

The Crying of Lot 49 presents the writer's major ideas through Oedipa Maas who tries to seek out the truth of a mysterious underground postal network, Tristero. Of the many themes inherent in The Crying of Lot 49, probably the most important and widespread of all is 'paranoia', which plays a major role in helping us to comprehend and appreciate other thematic ideas. The other main motif in this novel is a conspiracy. However, it is really difficult to distinguish between reality and fantasy in the crazed environment. Therefore, it is uncertain that the existence of Tristero is a real conspiracy or just a paranoia. The world revealed to her after considering Tristero's knowledge is totally different from the world previously familiar to Oedipa and she discovers that the nature and origins of Tristero will not be a quest of simple curiosity any longer and she greatly needs to escape from the closed system of perception. The secret of the Tristero case should be found in order to return to reality. In addition, accepting what Oedipa has seen and heard may be a reasonable way for her to become a paranoiac.

Polyglycerol fatty acid ester nonionic surfactants have been used for a long time in foods and have been suggested as an alternative to the safety problems of PEG based nonionic surfactants. The polyglycerol fatty acid ester surfactants are synthesized by combining a hydrophilic polyglycerin and a lipophilic fatty acid. The hydrophilic polyglycerin is polymerized using glycerin, glycidol, epichlorohydrin, etc. The main issues of the polyglycerol polymerization reaction are to increase the content of the polyglycerol in the form of linear rather than branched or cyclic forms and to narrow the distribution of the degree of polymerization. The method of binding a lipophilic fatty acid group to a hydrophilic polyglycerin includes chemical synthesis such as esterification reaction and enzyme synthesis using lipase enzyme. The main issues of polyglycerin fatty acid ester synthesis are to increase the yield and to control the degree of esterification while reducing side reactions.

Humankind longed for an image like the sense of sight and has developed history of image on the basis of the will toward record and reproduction. A long period of time was required for accumulation of technology for reproduction of an object, but directing point has always been impression experienced by the 'eyes.' But it has not all been pointing in the realistic image. This study aimed to discuss about its process and directing point of the paradigm of image creation that has been continued together with progress of humankind based on the academic outcomes achieved by Platon. 'Mimesis' classified by Plato required techne how far it may be distant from 'Idea.' Techne went forward in the direction of securing rationality according to accumulation of civilization in the end and reality, the history of mimesis was the process toward 'realistic image' and 'fantastic image'.

At present, the treatment of the radiation-induced diseases are only performing by the palliative treatment technique. Moreover, radioprotective drugs are a little toxic for human being and this seriously limits their application with various complication in clinical uses. Accordingly, new radioprotectors need developing. In our Lab., we synthesized trithioformaldehyde (TTFA), containing three sulfur atom, and examined the effect on mouse jejunal crypt cells after irradiation. Mice treated with TTF A (2.0 g/ kg) showed 78% survival ratio at 30 day after 800 rad irradiation. 1.0 g/kg and 2.0 g/kg of TTF A increased resistance of jejunal crypt cells to single doses of radiation by protection factors of 1.17 and 1.23, respectively.

In this paper, we present a conversion algorithm of the oblique ionogram obtained from Jeju and Icheon to the equivalent vertical ionogram of the path mid-point, based on some equivalence theorems between the vertical sounding and the oblique sounding for the ionosphere. And in order to verify the conversion algorithm under the condition of no vertical ionosonde at the mid-point on the test path, the equivalent vertical ionograms are compared to the real vertical ionograms measured adjacently in space-time. The comparison results show that the conversion algorithm performs well for the short-path oblique ionogram and the equivalent vertical ionograms could be applied to get the electron density profiles at the mid-point.
