Environment-friendly design becomes one of the main issues of the contemporary design. It has been developed with the advent of the organic view of the wend. It started as the environment-protective orientation and then enlarged its boundary including the designs which aims to revive the organic relationship between human and nature. Recent design approach in environment design emphasizes to be 'synchronized with the nature' and its basic attitude is the revival of the right relationship between man and nature. It also can be described as the design for Green Amenity. This paper researches on the concepts, types and the roles of the environmentally-friendly design. There are two basic concepts : one is environment-protective attitude and the other is the attitude which emphasizes the function of Green Amenity. This paper focuses on the latter approach. Through the analysis of the necessity and the function of the environmentally-friendly design, it aims to prove the fact that valuable human life need the design which connects human life aye with natural environment.

최근 환경오염과 생태학적 환경문제가 사회적 중요한 관심사로 인식되고 있다. 포장디자인에 있어서도 재활용과 재사용에 대한 요구와 함께 스티로폼이나 플라스틱을 대체하는 친환경 포장용기와 생분해성 필름 등의 포장재의 개발과 생산이 점차 증가하고 있다. 이러한 사회적 배경에서 본 연구에서는 환경친화적 포장디자인의 개발을 위한 가이드라인 설정을 목적으로 하고 있다. 연구내용은 환경친화적 디자인의 개념과 에코 포장디자인 적용범주, 국내외 에코패키지의 동향 및 포장재 현황을 살펴보고, 각종 정책과 규정 및 관련지침 등의 이론적 자료들을 근거로 일반적으로 고려되고 있는 에코패키지의 기본 방향과 체크리스트를 분석하였으며 이에 따른 가이드 라인 및 수행 절차를 고찰하였다. 에코 패키지의 기본방향은 첫째, 포장디자인의 제작, 사용, 폐기에 이르는 전과정에서 환경측면을 고려해야 하며 둘째, 비용과 품질, 시장성, 디자인 등 다중요소를 고려해야 한다. 셋째, 디자인 부서와 제품설계부서, 생산부서, 환경팀 등 조직 내의 다른 시스템과 기능적으로 협력하여야 하며 넷째, 기업의 다른 여러 가지 환경 활동을 통해 잠재적인 소비자와 시장을 확대할 수 있다는 것이다. 가이드라인의 내용은 자원 절감과 물질 사용량 절감, 재활용성 확대, 에너지 효율 향상, 유해 물질 저감과 안전성 확보, 폐기 효율성을 중심으로 하고 있다. 환경 친화적 포장디자인의 실천을 통해 환경영향성을 개선하고 비용을 감소시키며 소비자의 이미지 개선에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

It is the purpose of this study to propose improvement options and guidance methods for public design around elementary schools from the perspective of child friendly cities. The study first takes the Convention on the Rights of the Child as a benchmark, and integrates relevant United Nations documents on child friendly cities and those on child friendly cities in Shenzhen to derive five principles of public design around child friendly schools, namely, safe environment, protective measures, pedestrian friendly environment, independent environment for going out, convenient and fun environment. Subsequently, this study investigates the public design of 25 elementary schools in Futian District, Shenzhen, China, evaluates the quality level of public design according to the five principles, and points out the problems that exist in public design with lower quality level. Furthermore, in response to the existing problems of public design around elementary schools in Shenzhen, this study improves them from three aspects: public space, public facilities and public media design. More importantly, the design reinforces the safety and child protection of the environment, facilitates children's walking and independent going out, and provides a convenient and fun design that meets the physical and psychological needs of children, designed to be child-friendly. Not only does this design provide guidance for the construction of the environment around the elementary school in Shenzhen, but also provides guidelines for the construction of a child-friendly city in Shenzhen.

The age-friendly environments have the benefits that they provide not only the elderly, but also the disabled, children, pregnant, and young persons with the convenient environments. The study examined how degree the aged perceived their physical living environments were age-friendly. The data were collected from 525 old peoples living in Busan using by the person to person interview. All 34 items related to the age-friendliness of outdoor space and building, traffic, and housing were analyzed. The aged perceived that the agefriendliness of their living environments were mid-range. This implies that the improvements of their physical living environments were needed. The age-friendliness of housing area was the lowest among three areas. This means that the alternatives for improving the old persons' houses were needed. The characteristics which affected the aged' perception of the age-friendliness of physical living environments were economic level, housing type, home-ownership, and health condition.

Contemporary human beings have tendency to orient themselves to a natural environment while they have adapted themselves to artificial surroundings, which implies that a development of interior space where man, nature and space are in a sympathetic harmony with one another through overcoming non-naturalness and non-humanization is seriously needed. There are two methods in that; one concerns an introduction of environment-friendly expressions into the interior space as its natural factor, and the other involves expressing natural objects or beauties with orderly change commonly seen around in form of artificial design. On this study, the definition of ″Environment-friendliness″ and how it has evolved itself with time are first considered to search out for environment-friendly characteristics in the interior design. And then, among the characteristics of environment$.$friendly expressions widely observed in the interior space, the two aspects are studied for our purpose; an introduction of natural factors and an expression with artificial design. For the study, public facilities located in Ulsan were proposed since they accommodated lots of people. To meet the needs of the times that the development of environment-friendly space should reflect the factors of beauty and comfort enough to live in, relevant studies should be more activated and specialized. When there are a wide understanding of and a profound work upon introducing natural factors as well as ones of sound design into the interior space, a desirable environment-friendly expression could be created.

More recently, the ecocide like an environmental shocks of acid rain, oil spills and now the ozone layer have driven home the fact that we're all responsible for looking after our natural environment and threaten the our right to live. At such a situation enterprises has been to develop techniques of enhancing environment friendly design. However it is difficult to producing environment friendly product - especially at electronic product like a high accumulated thing and produced with a small amount - while they know the importance of environment. Because of a direct and actual disadvantage of enterprise and customer. Moreover it is rare and negative for physical point that an adaptation case of recycled material or natural one for designing. Therefore it is important to positive consideration and action of design process for the nature. In this paper the focus of interest is find out the active and real environmental friendly design practice scheme as a designer and understanding of basic of the environmental friendly design for a coexistence of the enterprise, customer, and environment.

Since the 20th century, it has been the most important agenda that issued the environment of earth. And it has been enormous endeavors for providing the environmental-friendly. It has now outcome as a policy of estimate and acknowledgement for providing the environmental-friendly. Regarding that is the most efficient method in a practical sense, the policy has rapidly been developed. This study is an attempt to categorize interior design of the policy. Thus main-body of this study shall be clarified the definition of the notion of the environmental-friendly design and investigated the element of harm against the environmental-friendly as well. Eventually the conclusion is to provide a guideline for the environmental-friendly especially for the field of interior design materials, by the investigation of the exiting policy for the environmental-friendly design.
