A study on the Research Methodology for the Installment of Ubiquitous Censors for Water and Sewer Management (지능형 상하수도 센서설치를 위한 연구방법론 수립에 관한 연구)

  • 최근 정보통신의 발달로 도시 지하시설물 지능화를 위한 다양한 기술들이 제공되어 '유비쿼터스 국토' 실현에 대한 요구가 지속적으로 높아질 전망이다. 다양한 기관에서 지능화된 시설물 관리에 대한 요구가 발생하고 있으며 각 지방자치단체들은 U-City 사업을 통하여 센서를 활용한 시설물 관리를 시도하고 있다. 하지만 사업의 대부분이 지상 시설에 대한 분야로 한정되어, 지상시설의 센서네트워크 기술은 다양한 응용분야로 발전하고 있으나 지하 환경의 시설물 관리를 위한 센서네트워크 기술은 아직 활용이 미흡하다. 본 연구는 지능형 상하수도 관리를 위한 유비쿼터스센서 설치방안 마련을 위한 연구방법론 수립을 제안한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 지능화(또는 유비쿼터스화)의 개념, 둘째, 상하수도 시설물 지능화의 필요성, 셋째, 시설물 지능화를 위한 센서설치의 역할 및 중요성, 넷째, u-City 구현을 위한 3대 영역(즉, 물리영역, 비물리영역, 정보통신영역)의 융합개념을 적용한 지능형 상하수도의 개념정립, 다섯째, 이상의 기반을 바탕으로 상하수도 지능화를 위한 센서설치 연구방법론을 제안한다. 이를 통해 물리영역(즉, 물리적 제한요소들), 비물리영역(실수요기반 시설물 지능화의 필요성) 그리고 정보통신영역(즉, 정보통신 관련 핵심기술 및 보조기술)의 상호융합에 의한 지능형 상하수도 관리를 위한 센서설치방안 마련이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Basic Study on Logical Model Design of Underground Facilities for Waterworks (상수도 지하시설물의 논리적 모델 설계에 관한 기초 연구)

  • This study proposes the logical data model design of a spatial data model that complies with international standards for the waterworks of underground facilities. We conduct a preliminary study related to underground spatial data standards and data models, and review the status of the existing systems. Then, we defined the conceptual design direction of underground spatial data model based on the problems and issues. Next, we defined the terminology, classification, semantic relationships of waterworks. Next, for the conceptual design of the underground spatial data model, we defined the naming criteria for all data according to the waterworks classification. In addition, a logical model is drawn and described using UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams. Based on the results, it is expected that the accuracy related to underground facilities data will be improved.

Automatic Extraction of River Levee Slope Using MMS Point Cloud Data (MMS 포인트 클라우드를 활용한 하천제방 경사도 자동 추출에 관한 연구)

  • Continuous and periodic data acquisition must be preceded to maintain and manage the river facilities effectively. Adapting the existing general facilities methods, which include river surveying methods such as terrestrial laser scanners, total stations, and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), has limitation in terms of its costs, manpower, and times to acquire spatial information since the river facilities are distributed across the wide and long area. On the other hand, the Mobile Mapping System (MMS) has comparative advantage in acquiring the data of river facilities since it constructs three-dimensional spatial information while moving. By using the MMS, 184,646,009 points could be attained for Anyang stream with a length of 4 kilometers only in 20 minutes. Levee points were divided at intervals of 10 meters so that about 378 levee cross sections were generated. In addition, the waterside maximum and average slope could be automatically calculated by separating slope plane form levee point cloud, and the accuracy of RMSE was confirmed by comparing with manually calculated slope. The reference slope was calculated manually by plotting point cloud of levee slope plane and selecting two points that use location information when calculating the slope. Also, as a result of comparing the water side slope with slope standard in basic river plan for Anyang stream, it is confirmed that inspecting the river facilities with the MMS point cloud is highly recommended than the existing river survey.

도시 폐기물 매립지반의 내진해석

  • 폐기물 매립시설물은 지진에 의해 파괴될 경우 시설물 파괴로부터 인명 및 경제적인 피해와 더불어 복구하기 어려운 환경적인 문제가 발생한다. 따라서 지진시 지반 및 구조물의 거동을 정확히 예측하기 위한 신뢰성 있는 지반 가속도의 증폭현상 평가가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 1차원 지반응답특성 평가 프로그램인 SHAKE91과 유한차분 프로그램인 FLAC을 이용 하여 폐기물 매립지에서의 지진거동 특성을 분석하였다. 1차원 해석결과 연약층이 존재하는 곳에서 지반변형이 많이 이루어졌고, FLAC 해석결과 폐기물층 사면부에서 뚜렷한 변위벡터가 발생하였으나 내진 2등급 매립지의 허용변위 30cm 이내이므로 해석 대상 구조물은 안전함을 알 수 있었다.

  • Accidents are greatly reduced through projects to improve frequent traffic accidents. These results show that safety facilities play a big role. Traffic accidents are caused by various causes and various environmental factors, and it is difficult to achieve improvement effects by installing one safety facility or facilities without standards. Therefore, this study analyzed the improvement effect of each accident type by combining the two safety facilities, and suggested a method of predicting the combination of safety facilities suitable for a specific point, including environmental factors such as road type, road type, and traffic. The prediction was carried out by selecting an XGBoost technique that creates one strong prediction model by combining prediction models that can be simple classification. Through this, safety facilities that have had positive effects through improvement projects and safety facilities to be installed at points in need of improvement were derived, and safety facilities effect analysis and prediction methods for future installation points were presented.

Research on the role of Smart Public Facilities -Focusing on public design policy- (스마트 공공시설물의 역할에 관한 연구 -공공디자인 정책을 중심으로-)

  • Background: The advancement of information and communication technology acts as a key driver in the implementation of smart cities. Smart Public Facilities leverage this technological progress to innovate urban operations, optimizing various city functions, enhancing the quality of public services, and improving citizens' accessibility and convenience. These Smart Public Facilities are introduced for the sustainable development of cities and the enhancement of citizens' quality of life. Method: This study systematically analyzed the public design policies of local governments and examined the use cases of Smart Public Facilities domestically and internationally to evaluate their functions and roles. Through this, the effectiveness and sustainability of public design policies were comprehensively reviewed, and the impact of Smart Public Facilities on urban operations and citizens' lives was analyzed from multiple perspectives. Results: The introduction of Smart Public Facilities significantly enhances the implementation and efficiency of public design policies, playing a crucial role in sustainable urban development and improving citizens' quality of life. Furthermore, positive impacts were observed in various areas such as energy management, transportation systems, and environmental monitoring. Major challenges included managing technological changes, ensuring data privacy and cybersecurity, and strengthening citizen participation. Conclusion: Smart Public Facilities serve as essential infrastructure for improving urban efficiency, sustainability, and citizens' quality of life. Successful implementation and operation require systematic management and citizen participation. Through this, Smart Public Facilities will support sustainable urban development and play a critical role in responding to environmental changes. To ensure that Smart Public Facilities function effectively as urban infrastructure, it is necessary to comprehensively evaluate their impact on the efficiency of public design policies, sustainability, citizens' quality of life, and the local economy, and to suggest concrete measures for their introduction and operation.

  • It is noted that the paper mapping system for University Building Facility has many limitations in terms of data maintenance, real-time GIS data acquisition, and economic efficiency. The aim of this research was to evaluate an operational potential of an on site real-time mobile GIS technique to resolve the problem faced in the university. The idea is based upon the recent trends in the field of 'Telecommunication and Information Technology' that uses a PDA (personal Digital Assistants), wireless network computing, mobile computing, etc. A real time mobile GIS approach has been adopted, in which a PDA is linked to a wireless internet and field workers record data on the computer at the site and analyse data on site. While there should be a considerable number and variety of factors associated with real-time mobile GIS quality, this research focuses on three criteria that are identified as fundamental to customer requirements; (1) data quarry (2) spatial analysis (3) real-time GIS database building. 'Art--empirical study for a case study facility has been conducted to confirm the validity for the system. The system has been checked experimentally, enabled the field users to quarry the data required simply and execute spatial analysis (buffer, overlay etc.,) accommodating versatile alternatives on the site. Detailed visual maps can be generated over large areas quickly and easily. The PDA interface, in particular, were ideally suited for field users to interactively displaying positional information with attribute data. This system has shown to be quite convenient to maintaining a highly reliable database since it could playa crucial role in documenting at real-time basis temporal and spatial changes occurred in the facilities. It is anticipated that this research output will greatly serve to introduce the reliable and cost-effective facility mapping system in the university by overcoming serious constraints suffered from the past non-real time mobile GIS approach.

Effective Maintenance of Urban Facilities via Smart Phones (스마트폰을 활용한 도시시설물 유지관리 효율화 방안)

  • Rapid urbanization is being portrayed around the world au causing difficulty to manage public hygiene and maintain public order. Common problems often detected in urban areas including traffic congestion and the deterioration of the ecological environment are also being exacerbated. Despite all the effort being made by the government and local governments to manage urban facilities, urban residents are subjected to various levels of difficulty, due to the number of facilities to be managed exceeding the number of management personnel and the lack of an adequate management system. The aim of this study is to propose a management method using smart phones to improve the maintenance efficiency of urban facilities. First, the one-stop maintenance of urban facilities, including facilities information management, maintenance management and history management, is made possible by using smart phones to collect and transfer pictures and the locations of the urban facilities. Second, maintenance management is based on the location and picture information of the subject, not the location of the smart phones, which enables a prompt understanding of and actions to be taken for the facility. This method is especially effective as the smart phone application sends the facility status information directly to the maintenance personnel. Third, all of the information and figures relating to the facilities is managed using a database, resulting in the easy utilization of the history management and data. Fourth, all of the urban residents have access to this information via smart phone applications and, therefore, expanding the role of the facility maintenance personnel is made possible without any additional investment in infrastructure. Lastly, the location-based information enables the management of roads, trees and trails.
