본 연구에서는 2003년부터 시행된 일본 고등학교 학습지도요령의 수학과 구성과 성격을 연구하였다. 또한, 교육과정상의 확률통계교육의 구성과 성격 및 편제에 대하여 고찰한 결과, 새 교육과정에 따른 교과위주의 교육과정의 구성과 내용 및 편제의 특징은 통합학습시간 신설로 미국식 주제 교육의 도입, 완전학교 주 5 일제실시, 중고 일관교육, 단위제 고등학교학교 신설, 종합 학교의 설치로 설명된다. 확률통계 교육의 내용과 범위는 과거 교육과정과 크게 달라진 점은 없으나, 7교과 분야 가운데 3 교과 부분에 자료 위주의 실용통계계산 교육과 통계소프트웨어교육 강화가 그 특징이다.

본 연구에서는 고등학교 확률통계교육의 바람직한 방향 제시를 위하여, 한국의 제7차 수학과 교육과정과 일본고등학교 학습지도요령의 수학과 구성과 성격을 비교, 연구하였다. 또한, 교육과정상의 확률통계교육의 구성과 성격 및 편제에 대하여 비교하였다. 양국의 고등학교 수학과 교육과정을 비교, 고찰한 결과, 한일 양국의 새 교육과정에 따른 교육위주의 교육과정의 구성과 내용 및 편제가 상당한 부분 비슷하거나 같았다 그러나, 지도목표 서술과 학제가 다르며, 실제 수학과 교과운영에는 차이가 많이 있다.

우리나라 초$\cdot$중$\cdot$고등학교 확률 및 통계영역 교육은 1997년 교육인적자원부 교시로 제 7차 수학과 교육과정이 개정되어 현재 초$\cdot$중$\cdot$고등학교 현장에서 시행되고 있다. 교과서 전수 조사를 통하여 제 7차 수학과 교육과정에 따른 실용수학 및 수학 I 확률 및 통계단원을 분석하였다.

한국과 미국(North Carolina주)의 확률과 통계 교육 내용을 고찰한 결과 한국과 미국(North Carolina주)은 내용적인 면에서 많은 차이를 보였다. 한국의 경우, 9-가 단계와 10-가 단계, 선택과목 중 수학 I, 실용수학, 이산수학 과목에 제시되어 있는 확률과 통계 영역은 심화선택과목인 확률과 통계 과목의 내용을 축소하여 재구성한 내용을 제시하고 있다. 미국(North Carolina주)은 한국과는 달리, Introductory Mathematics, Algebra(I, II), Technical Mathematics(1, 2) Advanced Mathematics, Advanced Placement Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Integrated Mathematics(1, 2, 3), Geometry 과목에서 확률과 통계 영역은 각 과목과 연관성 있는 내용으로 구성되어 있다. 한국의 심화 선택과목인 확률과 통계 과목과 미국(North Carolina주)의 AP통계(Advanced Placement Statistics)를 비교한 결과, 전체적으로, 자료의 정리, 확률변수와 확률분포 영역에서 한국과 미국(North Carolina주)은 거의 유사성을 보이고 있지만, 통계적 추론에서는 미국(North Carolina주)이 한국에 비하여 강화되어 있음을 알 수 있다.

이 연구는 우리 날 초등학교 수학과 교육과정에서 확률과 통계영역의 내용에 대한 변천과정을 살펴봄으로서, 앞으로의 교육과정 개편에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다. 또한 확률과 통계영역의 내용에 대한 가감과 외국의 예를 밝힘으로서 교수-학습의 기초자료로 활용하도록 하였다.

This study aims at presenting the educational model for the effective application of probability and statistics to the H/W curriculum. In order to do this, this paper conducts a survey with H/W major college students, and then analyzes how probability and statistics can be correlated with other H/W core subjects and how the knowledge of probability and statistics can affect the understanding of H/W majors through the actual class experiment. Consequently this study suggests probability and statistics as a prerequisite subject in the H/W curriculum.

We can use R package as a statistical package on the education of probability and statistics in elementary, middle and high school mathematics. R is an interactive mode package and graphical presentation tools in R are powerful. The greatest advantage is that R is a general public license package. We need to consider R package as a standard statistical package on the education of probability and statistics in elementary, middle and high school mathematics.

본 논문에서는 스프레드쉬트 프로그램 중에서 가장 활용도가 높은 Excel을 이용하여 만든 여러 가지 모의실험이 확률 통계학습에 어떻게 활용되는 지를 제시함으로써 개념의 지도 및 문제풀이 능력 향상의 효율성을 높이는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 즉 이는 단순한 이론적 수치계산이 아닌 구체적 경험을 제시하여 학생들에게 확률적 상황에 내재된 확률적 정보의 의미를 파악하게 함으로써 확률의 개념에 대한 이해를 돕고 확률 통계단원에 대한 흥미를 유발케 하고자 한다.

We described the overall explanation about R statistical package in Jang(2007). With referring the contents of the 7th national mathematics curriculum, we suggest the plan for applications of R package on probability and statistics education in elementary, middle and high school mathematics.

In Korea, mathematics education of 1-6 grade students has been taken according to the 7th national mathematics curriculum, which was renovated by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development announcement in 1997. The education of probability and statistics has been carried out as a part of this curriculum. We analyze the contents of probability and statistics in 1-6 grade mathematics textbooks and propose the solutions about the problems on the contents of probability and statistics.
