A Study on Adaptive Partitioning-based Genetic Algorithms and Its Applications (적응 분할법에 기반한 유전 알고리즘 및 그 응용에 관한 연구)

  • Genetic algorithms(GA) are well known and very popular stochastic optimization algorithm. Although, GA is very powerful method to find the global optimum, it has some drawbacks, for example, premature convergence to local optima, slow convergence speed to global optimum. To enhance the performance of GA, this paper proposes an adaptive partitioning-based genetic algorithm. The partitioning method, which enables GA to find a solution very effectively, adaptively divides the search space into promising sub-spaces to reduce the complexity of optimization. This partitioning method is more effective as the complexity of the search space is increasing. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed by applying it to several bench mark test function examples and the optimization of fuzzy controller for the control of an inverted pendulum.

New Temporal Features for Cardiac Disorder Classification by Heart Sound (심음 기반의 심장질환 분류를 위한 새로운 시간영역 특징)

  • We improve the performance of cardiac disorder classification by adding new temporal features extracted from continuous heart sound signals. We add three kinds of novel temporal features to a conventional feature based on mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC): Heart sound envelope, murmur probabilities, and murmur amplitude variation. In cardiac disorder classification and detection experiments, we evaluate the contribution of the proposed features to classification accuracy and select proper temporal features using the sequential feature selection method. The selected features are shown to improve classification accuracy significantly and consistently for neural network-based pattern classifiers such as multi-layer perceptron (MLP), support vector machine (SVM), and extreme learning machine (ELM).

  • Periodic disturbance is practically occurred in several engineering applications, especially in data storage systems. However, recently addressed controls for such problem were mostly dealt with its deterministic nature, which is rarely practical in real-time implementation. We present an adaptive control approach for DC motor systems with periodic stochastic disturbance whose frequency and magnitude are both random variables. We establish adaptive state feedback control which is linearly composed of nominal and corrective control parameter matrices. The former is derived from a nominal system model voiding disturbance and the latter is constructed from a disturbed system model by using Lyapunov stability theory. We carry out computer simulation to evaluate the proposed control methodology and compare to the recently addressed control method to demonstrate its superiority.

  • 본 논문에서는 Differentiated Services (DiffServ) 망의 edge 라우터에 적용되는 3 단계 트래픽 제어기 (3 phased traffic conditioner : 3PTC)를 제안하였다. 제안된 3PTC 는 TCP 트래픽의 예약된 대역폭 (reserved rate) 의 차이, UDP/TCP의 상호작용, RTT 및 집합된 트래픽을 구성하는 작은 트래픽 수에 의한 영향을 최소화함으로써, DiffServ 망에서 제공하는 Assured Services 사용자들에게 공정한 대역폭을 보장해 줄 수 있다. 3PTC 는 토큰버킷 단계, 확률결정 단계, 그리고 버퍼관리 단계로 이루어져 있다.

  • Investigation is performed on the characteristics and new control technique for general form of dynamic system under the randomly disturbance. Also, a controller design method in stochastic domain in studied, which is preliminary result in the course of research on the control of stochastic system. The governing equation is derived via F-P-K approach in stochastic sense. A controller is designed in term of auto power density and cross power density.

  • A controller disign method is proposed for multivariable nonlinear stochastic systems with hard nonlinearities such as Coulomb friction, backlash and saturation. In order to take the nonlinearities into account statistical linearization techniques are used. And multi- variable pole placement techniques are applied to design controller for the statistically linearized multivariable systems. The basic concept of the controller design method is to solve two coupled equations, characteristic equation and Lyapunov equation, simultaneously and iteratively for statistically linearized multivariable stochastic systems. An aircraft with saturation serves as a design example. The design example illustrates the influence of nonlinear effects. The results of the analysis are compared to Monte Carlo simulation to test their accuracy.

  • The orthogonal polynomials have been widely employed to solve control problems, but the LQG(linear quadratic gaussian) problem remains unsolved. In this paper, we obtained the solutions of Riccati equation and covariance matrix Riccati equation by two point boundary problem and matrix fraction method using BPF(Block Pulse Function), respectively. This solutions are solved the problem of the LQG controller design.

  • Recently, there a lot of activities on the researches that implement many kinds of control system using power lines. To implement that, it is desirable to use hybrid PSK model because it takes advantage of PSK and DPSK which has a low-bit-error rate. In this parer, we implement the transmitter of this model. Because the power line is not designed for the data communication, we separated the signal generator circuit and the signal loading circuit so that minimized noises from outside. Also, to make it easy on the experiments, most of process are performed by software. As a result, transmitting a high frequency signal on the power line made no effects on the electrical devices.

  • 본 연구는 고전압 전력기기인 몰드형변압기와 계기용 변성기인 CT, PT 절연특성에 유용한 Epoxy/Nano-Micro Mixture Composites(이하,ENMMC)를 개발하기위해 무엇보다 중요한 것은 Nano입자인 $SiO_2$_10nm입자의 표면을 제어하여 즉, 표면의 소수성을 크게 하여 나노입자의 균질한 분산을 얻은것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 개발된 Epoxy/$SiO_2$_10nm Nanocomposites와 Microcomposites을 기계적 전단응력을 이용하여 균질 혼합을 실시하였다. 이런 조건을 이용한 전기적특성을 측정하기위해 구대구 전극이 완전함침된 평등전계하에서 절연파괴전압을 측정하기 시편을 제조하였다. 마이크로입자의 충진함량을 일정하게 유지하여 나노입자 충진함량비율을 4가지로 변화시켜 절연파괴특성을 연구하였다. 충진함량이 나노입자의 경우 1wt%이하의 값이 상대적으로 우수한 절연파괴특성으로 와이블 플롯을 통하여 알수있었다. 상대적으로 멀티나노콤포지트의 형상파라미터가 큰 결과값을 얻을수 있었다. 그리고 스케일파리미터는 누적확률 밀도함수로서 63.2%에서 대단히 큰 초절연성의 절연소재를 개발할수 있었다.

  • This paper is presented to study the error minimization of angular velocity for AGV(autonomous ground vehicle). The error minimization of angular velocity is related to localization technique which is the most important technique for autonomous vehicle. Accelerometer, yaw gyro and electronic compass have been used to measure angular velocity. And methods for error minimization of angular velocity have been actively studied through probabilistic methods and sensor fusion for AGVs. However, those sensors still occure accumulated error by mathematical error, system characters of each sensor, and computational cost are increased greatly when several sensor are used to correct accumulated error. Therefore, this paper studies about error minimization of angular velocity that just uses encoder and gyro. To experiment, we use autonomous vehicle which is made by ourselves. In experimental result, we verified that the localization error of proposed method has even less than the localization errors which we just used encoder and gyro respectively.
