We focus on the RP (Rendezvous Point) system model in the multicast network based on BcN (Broadband Convergence Network) integrating broadcasting, telecommunication and Internet with one. Based on the condition multiple queues with different service and single server, when the arrivals tome in group with the site of the group geometrically distributed, we define the relationship between incoming arrival rate and corresponding buffer size. We also investigate the Profit according to both Service Provider and Network Operator Then we make a decision whether a new service request is accepted or not based on given interning rate range.

An object to reflect or emit light is captured by imaging system as distorted image due to various distortion. It is called image restoration that estimates original object by removing distortion. There are two categories in image restoration method. One is a deterministic method and the other is a stochastic method. In this paper, image restoration using Minimum Fisher Information(MFI), derived from B. Roy Frieden is proposed. In MFI restoration, experimental results to be made according to noise control parameter were investigated. And cross entropy(Kullback-Leibler entropy) was used as a standard measure of restoration accuracy, It is confirmed that restoration results using MFI have various roughness according to noise control parameter.

A method is presented for evaluating the economic efficiency of a semi-active magneto-rheological (MR) damper system for cable-stayed bridges under earthquake loadings. An optimal MR damper capacity maximizing the cost-effectiveness is estimated for various seismic characteristics of ground motion. The economic efficiency of MR damper system is addressed by introducing the life-cycle cost concept. To evaluate the expected damage cost, the probability of failure is estimated. The cost-effectiveness index is defined as the ratio of the sums of the expected damage costs and each device cost between a bridge structure with the MR damper system and a bridge structure with elastic bearings. In the evaluation of cost-effectiveness, the scale of damage cost is adopted as parametric variables. The results of the evaluation show that the MR damper system can be a cost-effective design alternative. The optical capacity of MR damper is increased as the seismic hazard becomes severe.

In this paper, a new filtering scheme for adaptive cruise control (ACC) system is presented. In the proposed scheme, the identification of the mode of the preceding vehicle is considered as a classification problem and it is done by a neural network classifier. The neural network classifier outputs a posterior probability of the mode of the preceding vehicle and the probability is directly used in the IMM framework. Finally, ten scenarios are made and the proposed NIMM is tested on them to show its validity.

With the improvement of information telecommunication technology, the various service in broadband integrated services digital networks have a wide range of delay, delay jitter and cell loss probability requirements according to traffic specification. Therefore, the design of appropriate control schemes that can satisfy the cell loss, delay requirements with various traffic specification for B-ISDN is an extremely important challenging problem. In this paper, we propose a priority control scheme using a window counter and a cell counter per each type of class. In the proposed priority control scheme, for satisfying required service quality, we performed the priority control scheme using the delay/loss factors obtained by comparing window counter with cell counter. The performance of proposed control scheme is estimated by computer simulation. In the results of simulation, we verified that the proposed method satisfied per class requirements as the results showed that cell loss probability has a order of video, data, voice and delay time has a order of video, voice and data.

In this paper, we propose a control model which can control the burst input messages of the BSC(Base Station controller) in mobile communication systems more efficiently and reliably, by dividing the input messages characteristically and using multiprocessor system. Using M/M/c/K queueing model, we briefly analyze proposed model to get characteristic parameters which are required to performance improvement. On the base of the results, we compare our proposed model with the conventional one by using SLAM II with regard to the following factors : the call blocking rate of the input message, the distribution of average queue length, the utilization of process controller(server), and the distribution of average waiting time in queue. In addition, we modified our model which has overload control function for burst input messages, and analyzed its performance.

In this paper, a dynamic minislot reservation protocol(DMRP) is proposed and analyzed to improve the performance of the multicast traffic processing in wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) networks. For the proposed protocol analysis, the WDM network architecture with a passive star coupler is used. One pair of transceiver is used for a control channel and the ocher pair of transceiver with one fixed transmitter and one tunable receiver are used for data transmission. In this protocol. the packets which fail to have successful transmission in the present time slot due to data channel and destination collisions, have priority to have successful reservation in the contention-less minislots of the next time slot. Therefore, protocols have improved the throughput and the system delay performance caused by the reduced probabilities of control channel contentions and destination collisions probability. Today, the efficient protocol that can handle the various types of data traffic is needed. As results, the DMRP is useful to improve the performance of throughput and system delay characteristics regardless of the kinds of traffic.

The network interference gives positive and negative effects to security and QoS simultaneously by disturbing the decoding of receiver and eavesdropper. The transmission of artificial noise enables to indirectly control these contradicting effects. This paper proposed the secrecy enhancement technique via artificial noise with protected zones of transmitter and receiver and investigated its gain by using stochastic geometry. For given arbitrary artificial noise power ratio, we first analyzed connection outage probability and secrecy outage probability for four different scenarios (separated, overlapped, included secrecy protected zones- type A, B) according to distance and size of protected zones of the transmitter and receiver. We then derive the secrecy transmission rate and find the optimal artificial noise power ratio to maximize it. Finally, with numerical examples, we investigate the effects of the system parameters such as size of protected zones of transmitter and receiver on the optimal artificial noise power ratio.

Optimal design method of nonlinear damping system for seismic response control of adjacent structures is studied in this paper. The objective functions of the optimal design are defined by structural response and total amount of the dampers. In order to obtain a solution minimizing two mutually conflicting objective functions simultaneously, multi-objective optimization technique based on genetic algorithm is adopted. In addition, stochastic linearization method is embedded into the multi-objective framework to efficiently estimate the seismic responses of the adjacent structures interconnected by nonlinear hysteretic dampers without performing nonlinear time-history analyses. As a numerical example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique, 20-story and 10-story buildings are considered and MR dampers of which hysteretic behaviors vary with the magnitude of the input voltage are considered as nonlinear hysteretic damper interconnecting two adjacent buildings. The proposed approach can provide the optimal number and capacities of the MR dampers, which turned out to be more economical than the uniform distribution system while maintaining similar control performance. The proposed damper system is verified to show more stable performance in terms of the pounding probability between two adjacent buildings. The applicability of the proposed method to the design problem for optimally placing semi-active control system is examined as well.

In this paper, a novel multi-object tracking method to track an unknown number of objects is proposed. To handle multiple object states and uncertain observations efficiently, a probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter is adopted and modified. The PHD filter is capable of reducing false positives, managing object appearances and disappearances, and estimating the multiple object trajectories in a unified framework. Although the PHD filter is robust in cluttered environments, it is vulnerable to false negatives. For this reason, we propose to exploit local observations in an RFS of the observation model. Each local observation is generated by using an online trained object detector. The main purpose of the local observation is to deal with false negatives in the PHD filtering procedure. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method robustly tracked multiple objects under practical situations.
