Selective Cu-MOCVD by Furnace Annealing and N$_{2}$ Plasma Pretreatment (furnace 열처리와 질소 플라즈마 처리에 의한 유기화학증착법을 이용한 선택적 구리 증착)

  • The selective chemical vapor deposition techniques for Cu metallization were studied. For enhancing the selectivity, furnace annealing and N$_{2}$ plasma were treated on patterned TiN/BPSG prior to the copper deposition. As a result, Cu did not deposited lead to suppressing the nucleation on BPSG singificantly. With the increasement the plasma treatment temperature, copper nucleation on BPSG was suppressed mote effectively, From TOF-SIMS(Time-of-Flight Secondary ion Mass Spectrometry), it is considered that annealing and N$_{2}$ plasma treatment remove hydroxyl(0-H) group so that eliminating the nucleation site for copper precursor enhance the selectivity.

  • 최근 생명공학 기술과 분석화학 기술의 발달로 생물 유전 데이터를 대량으로 얻는 것이 가능하게 되었다. 아울러 이렇게 얻어진 데이터를 적절하게 처리하고 분석하는 방법들도 여러 가지가 소개되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 DNA 마이크로어레이 정보를 분류하기 위하여 세 가지 데이터에 대하여 여러 가지 특징 전혀 방법으로 선택된 유전자들을 사용하여 신경망 분류기에 적용시켜 보았다. 실험 결과 백혈병 데이터의 경우 피어슨 상관계수를 이용한 분류가 97.1%로 가장 높은 인식률을 보여주었다. 한편 여러 가지 특징 선택 방법에 의하여 공통적으로 선택된 유전자를 사용하여 분류하면 더 높은 인식률이 나올 것 같았지만 실제로는 기대에 못 미치는 성과를 보여주었다. 따라서 무조건 여러 번 선택된 특징을 선택하기 보다는 특징들끼리의 상관관계를 고려하여 선택하는 방법이 필요할 것이다.

One-pot Synthesis of Hydrous MnO2 Nanowires for Selective Oxidative Transformation of Furfuryl Alcohol (Furfuryl 알코올의 선택적 산화 전환에 대한 수화 이산화망간 나노와이어의 One-pot 합성)

  • Hydrous $MnO_2$ nanowires were easily synthesized by an one-pot synthesis with a simple hydrothermal method. As prepared hydrous $MnO_2$ nanowires were characterized with scanning emission microscopy (SEM), transmit emission microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). They showed a good catalytic activity with the suitable nano-size of 4-5 nm and morphology. The furfuryl alcohol was selected as a substrate and the reaction was carried out in a toluene solvent at $100^{\circ}C$ under the atmospheric pressure of oxygen. The hydrous $MnO_2$ nanowire catalyst exhibited an excellent yield of furfural with the first-rate selectivity and conversion. The catalytic performance during recycle tests was also carried out and the catalyst showed a good mechanical strength with a negligible loss in the activity over five reaction cycles.

  • Nitrogen in the form of nitrate was electrochemically reduced with different cathode materials including Fe, Ni, Cu, and Zn. Zn cathode shows the greatest electrocatalytic activity on the transformation of nitrate ions into ammonia and the $NO_3^-$ removal efficiency has highest value at pH 8.5. Nitrogen in the form of nitrate was initially reduced into nitrite and sequentially, converted into nitrogen inside $NH_3$. Nitrogen in the form of ammonia was completely removed by the reaction with HOCl.

Evaluation of Mechanical Characteristic and Biological Stability of Dental Alloys by the Manufacture Method (가공방법에 따른 치과용 합금의 기계적 특성 및 생물학적 안정성 평가)

  • The material of the dental prosthesis was required bio-compatibility for biological, chemical, and physical stabilities. This study was conducted the stability evaluation of mechanical, biological characteristics through comparing Co-Cr alloy(SC group), Ti alloy(ST group) made by the selective laser melting method with Co-Cr alloy(CC group), Ni-Cr alloy(CN group) made by the casting method. Modulus of elasticity for mechanical characteristic evaluation was measured by the tensile test. And we conducted the release material analysis using lactic acid-NaCl solution for the evaluation of biological stability and were observed cytotoxicity through the content of this release medium. Taking these results into account, the Co-Cr alloy made by the selective laser melting method was observed modulus of elasticity higher than he Co-Cr alloy made by the casting method. And the Co-Cr alloy made by the selective laser melting method had more superior biological stability than the other groups as the result of cytotoxicity evaluation through the release material analysis. By this results, we think that alloys made by the selective laser melting method can be applied as materials for making the dental prosthesis.

Improvement Schemes of STS Contents and Structure of the High School Chemistry Ⅰ Textbooks to be developed by the 7th Curriculum (고등학교 화학 Ⅰ교과서의 STS 교육 내용 및 구성 방식 개선 방안)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine for high school chemistry I textbooks published by the 6th curriculum and some foreign STS programs such as Chemistry in the Community, Science and Technology in Society, Chemistry: The Salter's Approach by analyzing STS contents, students' activity, overall structure of the books and space devoted to STS, and to provide improvement schemes for developing high school chemistry I textbooks to be developed by the 7th curriculum in future. It was found that STS topics in the high school chemistry I textbooks were related only to 'social problems and issues', 'applications of science', 'multiple dimensions of science', and STS contents were presented mostly by narration. Students' activities were limited to discussion and survey, and none of the topics were related to 'career awareness', and 'cooperative work on real problems' in high school chemistry I textbooks. On the contrary, a variety of STS topics and activities such as case study related to local and community, practicing decision-making strategies, role play, practical work career awareness were included in foreign STS programs. Desirable directions for the improvement of STS contents and structure of present high school chemistry I textbooks were proposed in this paper.

Lead Ion-Selective Electrode Based on Upper-rim Calix[4]crown Ionophore (캘릭스[4]크라운 유도체를 이온선택성 물질로 사용한 납이온 선택성 막전극)

  • A PVC membrane electrode based on upper-rim calix[4] crown as ionophore was prepared using dioctyl sebacate (DOS) as a plasticizer. The potential response of this membrane electrode to alkali, alka-line earth and transitionmetal metal cations were examined. This membrane electrode exhibited a Nernstian response to $10^{-6}{\sim}10^{-2}M\;Pb(NO_3)_2$ with a slope ot 27.0 mV/decade. Its response time ($t_{90}$) was 10s and it could be used for at least 2 months. Also, the potential was maintained constantly in the rage of ph $2.0{\sim}12$.

  • Recent studies dealing with the fundamental understanding and applications of bimetallic catalysts are discussed. Bimetallic catalysts have had a major industrial impact, specifically for the reforming of petroleum naphtha, for the hydrogen reduction of carbon monoxide, and for the three way catalytic converter system. The action of the bimetallic catalysts in these reactions may be interpreted in terms of ensembles, electronic influences and surface structure. Various combinations of metal pairs have been considered in order to evaluate the role played by the added metals. For catalyst selectivity control, the possibility of surface enrichment of one element has been recognised. More generally, the influence of preparative variables on the formation of supported catalysts has been clarified, In particular by temperature programmed reduction (TPR). Information on the structure of bimetallic catalysts has been obtained with chemical probes, such as chemisorption and reaction rate measurement and physical probes, such as extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS), scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and Xe-NMR.

  • The electrochemical behaviors and analytical application of copper-1,5,9,13-tetrathiacyclohexadecane[16-ane-$S_4$] complex in acetonitrile(AN) solution have been investigated by the use of DC polarography and differential pulse polarography. Thus the formation constant of copper complex was $10^{3.51}$. Copper (Ⅱ) ion was found to form complex of 1-to-1 composition with [16-ane-$S_4$]. In addition, reduction step was irreversible and the reduction current was diffusion controlled. And the effect of concentration of the salting-out reagent and chelating agent and pH of aqueous phase on the determination of copper (Ⅱ) was investigated and diverse ion effect was discussed. By salting-out extraction technique, we can be determined until the concentration of copper (Ⅱ) of 60 ppb.

전자빔 조사에 따른 IZO 박막의 물성 변화

  • Indium Zinc Oxide (IZO)는 가시광 영역(380~780 nm)에서 높은 투과율과 적외선영역에서 높은 반사율을 보이는 투명산화막으로서 Flexible display 적용으로 주목 받는 재료이다. 특히 비 화학적 양론비(non-stoichiometric)로 성장된 박막은 N형 반도체 특성을 갖기 때문에 광전자 소자, 액정표시소자와 태양전지의 투명전극 재료로 이용되고 있으며, 향 후에도 수요는 계속 증가될 전망이다. 일반적으로 IZO 박막은 높은 열처리 온도에 의한 기판재료의 선택이 한정적인 단점이 있다. 따라서 최근에는 정밀하게 제어된 에너지를 가진 전자를 표면에 조사(E-beam irradiation)하여 박막의 물성을 개선하고 기판재료의 선택성을 넓히는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다 [1]. 본 연구에서는 RF Magnetron Sputtering 법을 이용하여 Glass 위에 IZO를 증착하였다. 스퍼터링타겟은 고순도 IZO 타겟을 이용하여 100 nm의 두께를 가지는 박막을 증착하였다. 증착된 IZO 박막에 E-beam Source ((주)인포비온)를 이용하여 E-beam irradiation energy 조건에 변화를 주어 박막의 물성 변화를 관찰하였다. IZO 박막의 두께를 측정하기 위해 SEM (Cross section)을 이용하였다. E-beam irradiation energy에 따른 가시광 영역(380~780 nm)에서의 광투 과도는 UV-Vis spectrometer를 사용하여 측정하였고, 전기적인 특성은 Hall measurement system 을 이용하여 측정하였다. 또한 박막의 결정성과 거칠기의 변화는 XRD (X-ray Diffraction)와 원자 간력현미경(Atomic Force Microscope; AFM)을 이용하여 측정하였다. Rf magnetron Sputtering 법을 이용하여 증착한 IZO 박막에 Post E-beam irradiation이 전기전도 및 광 투과특성과 결정성과 표면 조도를 향상시키는데 크게 기여함을 확인할 수 있었다.
