The present article reports the results of a basic study for improving the fire safety of postpartum care centers. In the case of postnatal care center facilities, newborn babies and mothers reside 24 hours a day, and as they are located in high-rise and multi-use facilities, measures for fire safety are necessary, but there are no domestic manuals. This study examined the problems of fire safety through an analysis of fire cases of postpartum care facilities and related regulations, and conducted surveys on the fire safety consciousness of employees and mothers regarding postpartum care management. The fire safety consciousness of the mother was analyzed.

The aim of the study intends to investigate the fire safety awareness level of the young children's parents in Seoul and to provide the base data in the education for the fire safety. The results of the study are as follows. The young children's parents consider the fire safety awareness level of our society low, though their fire safety awareness level be above the average. The young children's parents choose infants schools as appropriate place to receive education for fire safety. And the young children's parents consider the development and diffusion of fire-safety teaching materials for young children to be supplied first of all. Also the young children's parents recognized observation learning and a field trip activity as appropriate teaching-learning method for fire-safety education.

The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the safety awareness and safety practice behavior of the college students. We carried out a questionnaire survey that was targeted at 294 college students from November 1st to November 20th, 2014. Data collected were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 statistical program. Analysis methods were t-test, one way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearsons correlation coefficient, and Stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings are as follows. Safety awareness point was an average of 177.5 points which was higher levels. Area showing the highest safety awareness was safety from fire. Safety practice behavior was an intermediate level of an average 63.3 points. Also, there was a positive correlation between safety awareness and safety practice behavior(r=.595. P<.01). The results of this study implies that we need the safety training program for the safety awareness of college students.

This study examined the firefighting publicity satisfaction (FFPS) and the effects of firefighting publicity (EOFFP) on efficient firefighting publicity (FFP). In addition, the relationship between FFPS and EOFFP was analyzed. The result of the investigation of the FFPS was 58.5 points, which was slightly higher than the medium. The result of EOFFP revealed an increase in fire safety consciousness. In particular, the fire extinguishing ability was higher than the other item. The most powerful FFP method in raising fire safety consciousness was the Internet/Smart phone. Another effective and favorite method of FFP was the media. Fire safety consciousness did not influence the FFPS but the FFPS had an impact on the EOFFP.
