화이트헤드의 실재론은 형이상학과 이후의 수리철학적 전통 뿐만이 아니라 20세기의 언어이론과 분석철학에 있어서도 다양한 기여를 하였다. 화이트헤드의 명제 개념 또한 인식과 언어와 상징을 포괄적으로 다루는 형이상학적인 성찰에 있어서도 매우 중요한 기여를 하였다. 화이트헤드에 의하면 명제의 일차적인 기능은 느낌을 위한 유혹으로 정의된다. 또한 명제에 대한 경험은 가능성과 현실성의 결합의 경험을 뜻한다. 이러한 점에서 명제의 실현은 각각의 현실성들이 새로운 방식으로 주체의 명제경험을 통하여 구현되고 탄생되어짐을 함축한다. 화이트헤드의 명제 개념의 구상에는 세계 경험들의 다차원적인 구현을 논리적으로 범주화 하려는 목적이 함축되어 있다. 이는 우주의 생생한 발현의 국면들을 논리적으로 해명하려는 화이트헤드 형이상학의 전체적인 성격와 연관된 지점이기도 하다. 그에 의하면 명제는 주체에게 언어를 수행하도록 하는 전언어적인 근본 범주이다. 화이트헤드의 이러한 명제-시스템은 주체의 다차원적인 현실의 해석가능성과 언어의 구체적 수행을 가능하게 논리적 토대가 된다. 명제에 관한 화이트헤드 사유의 점진적인 흐름과 발전의 시선에서 보면, 화이트헤드의 명제론은 명제가 특정한 개별적 주체의 세계와 언어수행에 어떻게 개입되고 발현되는지를 현실의 창조적 전진의 맥락에서 효과적으로 설명하려는 시도로 이해될 수 있다. 이러한 화이트헤드의 명제론에 대한 독특한 구상을 주목하는 이 연구는 화이트헤드의 형이상학적 체계에서 그의 명제론의 의미와 가치에 대한 근본적인 성찰을 시도하고자 하였다. 특히 화이트헤드의 명제론이 현실을 새로움과 창조성의 구현의 무대로 진술하는 그의 약동의 세계관에 어떠한 방식으로 긴밀하게 기여하고 있는지를 검토하였다.

화이트헤드는 수학적 개념과 방법을 철학에까지 확장시킨 대표적인 수학 철학자라 할 수 있다. 화이트헤드의 수학 철학은 한편으로 형이상학적 입장을 주장한다는 점에서 수학철학의 합리론적 경향을 가진 것으로 볼 수 있으며, 또 다른 한편 수학적 진리와 현실세계의 경험적 관련성을 강조한다는 점에서 수학철학의 경험론적 경향에 속한다고 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 수학철학에 있어 독특한 견해를 가진 화이트헤드의 수학 철학적 입장이 무엇인지 살펴보았다. 화이트헤드의 유기체 철학의 수학 철학적 경향은 수학 철학에서의 경험론적 경향과 합리론적 경향의 종합이라고 볼 수 있다.

지난 호에서는 인류 최초의 무인동력비행에 성공했고 라이트형제보다 먼저 유인동력비행에도 성공할 뻔했던 랭글리 교수의 이야기를 알아보았다. 이번호에서도 역시 최초의 유인 동력비행에 얽힌 이야기를 다루어 보고자 한다.

이 글에서 나는 세 단계의 다른 종교이해 방식을 구분하여 세 가지 형태의 종교다원주의 정의하고 그 특징을 설명하고 있다. 그 첫째는 차별적 다원주의인데, 현존하는 혹은 앞으로 그 모습을 드러낼 종교들 사이의 차별성을 그대로 인정하는 형태이다. 둘째는 상보적 다원주의로써 현존하는 또는 앞으로 출현할 종교들은 각각의 종교적 실천과 그 믿음이 그 내용상 상호보충적인 성격을 지니고 있다고 보는 것이다. 셋째는 통합적 다원주의이다. 이 관점은 모든 종교를 인류와 인간의 세계이해의 전체론적 발전 과정의 필수적 부분들로 보는 것이다. 이 가운데 통합적 형태의 다원주의가 가장 중요하다. 왜냐하면 이 관점은 각각의 다른 종교들에게 그것 고유의 이질적 역사적 관점에 의한 하나의 토대를 제공하기 때문이다. 이 관점은 또한 각기 다른 종교들의 차이점들을 창조적 전체와 연관시켜보는 개방적이고 창조적인 통찰력을제공함으로써 그 종교들이 인간의 앎과 실천에 가장 중요한 비젼과 관련하여 각각이 궁극적으로 적절한 위상을 성취할 수 있도록 하며, 상호간에 배우고 더욱 발전할 수 있는 존재로 서로 이해되고 격려하도록 하는 기능을 수행한다. 이와 같은 종교적 통찰력의 면에서 나는 상호보충적인 다원주의 이론을 발전시킨 존 콥과 데이비드 그리핀의 업적에 심심한 고마움을 전한다. 그러나 동시에 각 종교의 독특성은 유지하면서도 상대주의는 피하기 위해서는 어떻게 이 상호보충적인 다원주의가 화이트헤드의 창조성 철학의 관점에 의해 부분의 개성을 유지하면서도 전체를 감싸 아우르는 통합적 다원주의로 반드시 한 걸음 더 나아가야 하는지를 강조 설명하고 있다. 이 글의 후반부에서는, 나는 또한 통합적 다원주의 관점의 종교적 진리와 믿음의 고양이 중요함을 이해하기 위하여 서로 연관된 네 가지 주제를 논한다: (1) 지역적으로 상대적인 인류의 필요에 동시에 응하고자 하는 동서의 세계종교의 목표에 부응하기 위해서는 화이트헤드적 사유의 틀과 역경의 철학이 보여주는 사유의 틀이 어떻게 통합되어야 하는가 (2) 어떻게 상대주의의 내적 논리에 의해 제기된 논쟁점들이 세계종교 안에서 동시에 극복되고 고려되어 종교가 계속 발전하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는지 (3) 어떻게 인류가 창조성의 또는 창조자로써의 신의실존-우주론적 견해의 풍부함으로 인도 되는 신적 개별화의 근본 은유적 존재로 역할을 해왔는지 (4) 유가와 도가의 통합적 조화의 역사적 모범에 기초해 볼 때, 기독교와 불교 이 두 세계종교의 통합적 조화가 가능한지, 그리고 왜 이 두 종교가 세계의 종교들이 서로 다른 종교적 믿음과 행위의 통합적 조화의 상태로 나아가는 미래의 변화를 이루는데 유효한 종교가 되는지.

최근 안면 피부 미용에 대한 사람들의 관심이 높아짐에 따라 딥 러닝을 활용한 안면 피부 미용을 위한 피부 질환 인식 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 연구들은 여드름을 비롯한 다양한 피부 질환을 인식한다. 기존의 연구들은 단일 피부 질환만을 인식하지만, 안면에 발생하는 피부 질환은 더 다양하고 복합적으로 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Inception-ResNet V2 모델을 활용하여 다중 레이블 분류 방법으로 여드름, 블랙헤드, 주근깨, 검버섯, 일반 피부, 화이트헤드에 관한 복합적인 피부 질환을 인식한다. 사용한 평가 지표 중 정확도는 98.8%, 해밍 손실은 0.003을 달성하였고, 단일 클래스별 정밀도, 재현율, F1-점수는 모두 96.6% 이상을 달성하였다.

Whitehead's philosophy is evaluated as an applicable philosophy and an accurate, logical explanation system about the world through mathematics. Whitehead's ideological development can be divided into mathematical research, critical consciousness about sciences and philosophical exploration. Although it is presented as a whole unified conceptual framework to understand nature and human beings which is based on modern mathematics and physics in the 20th century, Whitehead's philosophy has not been sufficiently understood and evaluated about the full meaning and mathematics educational values. In this paper, we study relations of Whitehead's philosophy and the mathematical education. Moreover, we study implicity of mathematical education.

Spatial perception and spatial structure that focus on psychological effects produce a real force through the medium of space that can control human actions, even their psychology. The job of understanding the characteristics and effects of architectural spaces that recognize the relationship between architecture and human beings, including the psychological dimension, is an alternative search for quality spaces that can increase the mutual relationship between space and human beings. This paper introduces two propositions called "space" and "psychology" in order to discover a meta-pattern connecting space and the human mind with the aim of systematizing that internal network and establishing a new architectural system concerning space and human beings. This paper also proposes a method of accessing physical spaces that can affect psychological states through a conceptual substitution called "extension," with the aim of discovering the implications inherent in such extensive relationships and proposing a methodology of organizing psychological spaces based on the characteristics of that extensive connection. The means of extensively connecting psychological spaces were classified into the three categories of memory system, sensory system, and motor system, and their corresponding extensive connection characteristics called "simultaneous relativity," "non-mediated immediacy," and "purification process" were also derived. These characteristics accelerate the changes in psychological intensity and function as principles that organize psychological space.

The concepts of laws like regularity or persistence or recurrence those are discovered in nature, became the essential elements in speculative philosophy, study and scientific technology. Western civilization was spread out by these natural laws. As this background, this study is aimed to research the theories of natural laws and the development of geometry as the descriptive tools and the development aspects of the concepts of space. According to Whitehead's four theories on the natural laws, the result of this study that aimed like that as follows. First, the theories on the immanence and imposition of the natural laws were the predominant ideas from ancient Greek to before the scientific revolution, the theory on the simple description like the positivism made the Newton-Cartesian mechanism and an absolutist world view. The theory on the conventional interpretation made the organicism and relativism world view according to non-Euclidean geometry. Second, the geometrical composition of ancient Greek architecture was an aesthetics that represented the immanence of natural laws. Third, in the basic symbol of medieval times, the numeral symbol was the frame of thought and was an important principal of architecture. Fourth, during the Renaissance, architecture was regarded as mathematics that made the order of universe to visible things and the geometry was regarded as an important architectural principal. Fifth, according to the non-Euclidean geometry, it was possible to present the natural phenomena and the universe. Sixth, topology made to lapse the division of traditional floor, wall and ceiling in contemporary architecture and made to build the continuous space. Seventy, the new nature was explained by fractal concepts not by Euclidean shapes, fractal presented that the essence of nature had not mechanical and linear characteristic but organic and non-linear characteristic.
