  • In this study, a vision system with image processing method have been introduced to find the edge radius of curvature. It was applied to inspect the edge quality of the deburring process product with brush grinding. Size of data was found to be critical in calculating the radius of curvature. Results using laser measurement system were compared.

  • 본 논문에서는 H.263과 G.723.1을 이용한 인터넷 화상회의 시스템의 구현을 기술한다. 시스템은 회의요청자의 요구에 대한 처리를 담당하는 프로세스와 미디어를 압축하여 전송하는 송신부, 그리고 상대방이 전송한 미디어를 복원하여 재생하는 수신부로 구성된다. 비디오와 오디오의 엔코더 및 디코더 모듈들은 소프트웨어 콤포넌트로 구현되어 다양한 스트리밍 시스템의 개발에 사용될 수 있다. 또한 IP 멀티캐스트, TCP/UDP 등의 프로토콜을 지원하여 다양한 형태의 회의를 가능하게 한다.

  • 자동차용 타이어중 측면에 백색문자가 들어가는 제품은 물류이송 및 유통과정에서의 오염방지를 위해 수성페인트를 도포한다. 이 작업을 라인스켄 카메라와 P.L.C를 이용하여 문자 위치 및 크기를 인식하여 노즐을 통해 자동 도포하는 설비개발을 목표로 시스템의 설계 및 시운전을 실시하였으며 인식 알고리즘의 개발로 화상인식 정도의 향상 및 PLC제어에 따른 유지보수성을 높일수 있었으며, 설비투자비용 역시 현저히 줄일수 있었다.

  • 본 논문은 자동 시각 굴절력 곡률계의 전자 부문에 연동될 곡률 측정 알고리즘을 소개한다. 만약 자동화된 시스템이 광학계로부터 나오는 영상을 이용하여 내부 처리를 거친 후 정확한 시각 측정치를 검사자에게 알려줄 수 있다면 잘못 측정되는 측정 횟수를 크게 줄일 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 형태학적 필터링(morphological filtering)과 그레이-레벨의 신호 강조(signal enhance) 기술들을 이용하여 자동 시각 굴절력 곡률계에 연동될 각막 곡률과 굴절력 측정 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 알고리즘에서는 광학계로부터 도출된 링 모양 광원의 화상을 처리하기 위해서 새로운 방법을 사용하는 대신에 구면 굴절력 측정을 위해서 6 개의 점으로 구성된 화상을 처리하는 방식으로 변형 적용시킨다. 이 때 링의 띠를 6 개의 덩어리 점으로 변형하는 과정만을 제외하면 구면 굴절력 영상을 처리하는 방식과 같게 된다. 이는 알고리즘의 간결화와 측정 시간을 줄이는 효과를 얻게 된다. 그리하여 본 각막 측정 알고리즘은 정확한 측정값 도출이 어려운 시각 영상에 적용되어 효과적으로 오차를 줄임으로써 보다 효율적인 각막 측정을 가능하게 하였다.

  • The joint treatment of concrete is one of the technical problems in top down construction method. Joints created with the top down construction result in serious weakness from the aspects of both structural and water-barrier function. Ultrasonic method was used for the inspection of top down construction joints of a various column in SRC structure in this study. The advantages and limitations of this method for non-destructive inspection in top down construction joints are investigated. As a result, it has been verified that the semi-direct measurement method is more effective than the other methods for detecting the voids of construction joints using ultrasonic method.

A Study on an Algorithm for Eliminating False Feature Points (의사 특징점 제거 알고리즘 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we proposed an algorithm to eliminate false feature points to upgrade the system ability using the cross number method. By using the proposal algorithm, it was able to extract feature points exactly and increase the recognition rates.In the experiment, we used3 groups : the uncut-partially noised, and uncut completely noised fingerprint to verify our proposal. We then compared the results of the proposed system with those of another system in which false feature points were not eliminated. We have obtained good recognition rates of 97.7%, 97.7%, and95.0% in the cut, uncut-partially noised, and the uncut-completely noised fingerprints. However, the other system received the results of the cut 60%, the uncut-partially noised 35%, and the uncut-completely noised 50% respectively. As a result, we belive that the fingerprint may be recognized after adapting the proposal algorithm.

An Image Processing Algorithm for a Visual Weld Defects Detection on Weld Joint in Steel Structure (강구조물 용접이음부 외부결함의 자동검출 알고리즘)

  • The aim of this study is to construct a machine vision monitoring system for an automatic visual inspection of weld joint in steel structure. An image processing algorithm for a visual weld defects detection on weld bead is developed using the intensity image. An optic system for getting four intensity images was set as a fixed camera position and four different illumination directions. The input images were thresholded and segmented after a suitable preprocessing and the features of each region were defined and calculated. The features were used in the detection and the classification of the visual weld defects. It is confirmed that the developed algorithm can detect weld defects that could not be detected by previously developed techniques. The recognized results were evaluated and compared to expert inspectors' results.

  • This paper presents algorithms which are region labeling and data structure of a boundary segmentation as image intermediate description process. In the method, the algorithms are region labeling, boundary segmentation, line and curve fitting and extracting data structure of each segment. As a result, a data structure of image is described by a set of region number, segment number, line or curve, starting point and end point of each segment and coefficient of line or curve. These data structures would serve for higher level processing as object recognition. For example we will use this data structure to solve the correspondence problem of stereoscopic image information. And we verified these algorithms through the image reconstruction of data structure.

  • In this paper, a model of neural circuit was proposed, which abstracts the depth information in two images gotten from right and left retinas. The proposed neural circuit corresponds to binocular stereo vision based on psychologic and physiological knowledge, and we examine a restoration method of three-dimensional surface. In case of drawing a disparity based on characteristics of images, we can not abstract the depth information correctly if resemblant characteristics are repeated on the boundary region of an object. A binocular disparity is decided in a model of neural circuit by abstraction, synthesis, and correction of a disparity. And we propose a method which restores three-dimensional shape by correcting a depth information, and also restores a three-dimensional surface by mapping a left input image on the restored three-dimensional shape. And we confirmed that the computation time for disparity abstraction can be greatly reduced through the simulation.
