  • Smart Multiple-Tap to be introduced in this paper, is an electronic device that controls the Multibple-Tap through the Smartphone. It runs on network and has an inbuilt Zigbee communication module. Thus, users can control home devices from remote through home server. Mentioned home server is operated as a gateway and is connected with smart devices on the Internet. To sum up, Users using this Smart Multiple-Tap can check the state information of the multi-tap ON/OFF and can control immediately by smartphone. also, Smart Multiple-Tap perfectly shut down the standby power. when users turn off each of the Smart Multiple-Tap's circle, It drives automatically lowest electricity-consuming mode and shut down the standby power by its own built-in SSR module. therefore, it will bring the energy saving effect on environment using Smart Multiple-Tap.

  • UPnP presents home network middleware for local home electrical appliances basedon internet protocols that is available access and control electrical appliances just in local home network. Itis designed to bring easy-to-use, flexible, standards-based connectivity to ad-hoc or unmanaged networks in the home, a small business, public spaces, or attached to the Internet. In this paper, Internet Gateway expands UPnP IGD(Internet Gateway Device) DCP(Device Control protocol) and UPnP IGP Bridge for Internet Home Network Electrical Appliance Control. UPnP IGD DCP is configurable initiation and sharing of internet connections, advanced connection-management features, management of host configuration service, and supports transparent Internet access by non-UPnP-certified devices. UPnP Bridge search for local home network devices by sending control messages. Control Point of UPnP Bridge search for devices of interest on the network and can control or be controlled all of functions by IGD DCP with control commands. Outside client, approach to UPnP IGD DCP, send control messages UPnP Bridge, and invoke each UPnP device. As a result, Electrical Appliance of Home Network base on UPnP, can control and be controlled via the Internet like ones in the one Home Network without modification of existing UPnP.

  • The OSGi service platform has several characteristics as in the followings. First, the service is deployed in the form of self-installable component called service bundle. Second, the service is dynamic according to its life-cycle and has interactions with other services. Third, the system resources of a home gateway are restricted. Due to these characteristics of a home gateway, there are a lot of rooms for malicious services can be Installed, and further, the nature of service can be changed. It is possible for those service bundles to influence badly on service gateways and users. However, there is no service bundle authentication mechanism considering those characteristics for the home gateway In this paper, we propose a service bundle authentication mechanism considering those characteristics for the home gateway environment. We design the mechanism for sharing a key which transports a service bundle safely in bootstrapping step that recognize and initialize equipments. And we propose the service bundle authentication mechanism based on MAC that use a shared secret created in bootstrapping step. Also we verify the safety of key sharing mechanism and service bundle authentication mechanism using a BAN Logic. This service bundle authentication mechanism Is more efficient than PKI-based service bundle authentication mechanism or RSH protocol in the service platform which has restricted resources such as storage spaces and operations.

  • In the standard location strategy such as IS-41 and GSM, Home Location Register(HLR) and Visitor Location Register(VLR) databases are used to manage the location of mobile terminals. The primary goal that location management schemes investigate is to reduce the cost of database access and the traffic for signaling network. When mobile terminals move frequently, one of problems in the standard location management scheme is that HLR database is highly updated and the traffic in signaling network can be occurred significantly due to high message transfer rate between HRL and VLR. As a solution to these problems, this paper proposes the location management scheme using VLR Gateway(VG) to reduce the both traffics of HLR update and signaling network which are resulted from location registration requirements of mobile terminals whenever they cross their registration area boundary. VG is a kind of database that is placed between HLR and VLR. It integrates one or more registration area defined in a system into one group and plays a role on behalf of HLR in a integrated registration scope so that the call delivery and the movement of mobile terminals are possible without HLR access in the scope. In order to evaluate performance of IS-41 and proposed scheme, we simulate two schemes based on wide range of call to mobility ratio. Its experiment result shows that in the proposed scheme total database cost increased slightly whereas HLR and signaling traffic decreased remarkably.

  • In this paper, we propose a CQS(Calendar Queue Scheduler) architecture which was designed for processing multimedia and timing traffic in home network. With various characteristics of the increased traffic flowed in home such as VoIP, VOD, IPTV, and Best-efforts traffic, the needs of managing QoS(Quality of Service) are being discussed. Making a group regarding application or service is effective to guarantee successful QoS under the restricted circumstances. The proposed design is aimed for home gateway corresponding to the end points of receiver on end-to-end QoS and eligible for supporting multimedia traffic within restricted network sources and optimizing queue sizes. Then, we simulated the area for each module and each memory. The area for each module is referenced by NAND($2{\times}1$) Gate(11.09) when synthesizing with Magnachip 0.18 CMOS libraries through the Synopsys Design Compiler. We verified the portion of memory is 85.38% of the entire CQS. And each memory size is extracted through CACTI 5.3(a unit in mm2). According to the increase of the memory’sentry, the increment of memory area gradually increases, and defining the day size for 1 year definitely affects the total CQS area. In this paper, we discussed design methodology and operation for each module when designing CQS by hardware.

  • 정보통신 기술의 발달과 디지털 방송의 시작, 뉴미디어의 출현으로 인한 통신과 방송의 융합은 가속화되고 있다. 또한 2010년까지 광대역통신망 BcN과 홈네트워크 구축을 위한 정부정책이 실행 중에 있다. 100Mbps의 전송속도를 구현해야 하는 광대역 통신망(BcN)을 위해 기존 인터넷 백본 1)망은 잘 구축이 되어 있으나 가입자까지의 망 구조에 많은 문제점을 앉고 있다. 기존 전화국을 이용한 XDSL과 지역 SO를 활용한 Cable Modem의 경우 병목현상과 이론상 속도 또한 BcN과 통방통합이 요구하는 50-100Mhz의 전송속도를 만족하지 못한다. 새로운 망 구조를 구축하기 위해 많은 비용과 시간의 소요가 예상된다 가입자 망 구축에 따른 많은 방법과 이론이 제시되고 있다. 똔 논문에선 지역 SO를 활용하여 가입자까지 망을 통방통합과 BcN에 적합한 가입자 망을 새롭게 구성하는 것을 목표로 한다. 먼저 지역 50의 망을 활용하기 위해선 기존 KT와 파워콤의 COF(Glass Optical Fiber)망과 지역 케이블 SO의 HFC 망을 이용하기에는 동축케이블 망의 물리적 특성에 따른 한계로 통방통합과 BcN에 부적합하다. Tree And Branch 구조의 HFC망 대신 $SMF^{2)}$의 기존 SO의 자가망을 새롭게 설계하고 광분배망 기술인 $E-PON^{3)}$방식을 접목시켜 최대한 동축망을 사용하지 않고 굴곡 특성에 약한 $FOG^{4)}$의 특성을 극복하기 위해 $POF^{5)}$망을 이용하여 댁내 홈게이트웨이까지 연결하는 방식으로 지역 SO를 거점으로 활용하여 댁내까지 FHHT와 홈 네트워크까지의 가입자 망을 새롭게 구성하고자 한다. 저장의 효율성을 위해 이진 포멧인 IPMP화된 MP4 파일을 생성할 수 있다.으로써, 에러 이미지가 가지고 있는 엔트로피에 좀 근접하게 코딩을 할 수 있게 되었다. 이 방법은 실제로 Arithmetic Coder를 이용하는 다른 압축 방법에 그리고 적용할 수 있다. 실험 결과 압축효율은 JPEG-LS보다 약 $5\%$의 압축 성능 개선이 있었으며, CALIC과는 대등한 압축률을 보이며, 부호화/복호화 속도는 CALIC보다 우수한 것으로 나타났다.우 $23.87\%$($18.00\~30.91\%$), 갑폭 $23.99\%$($17.82\~30.48\%$), 체중 $91.51\%$($58.86\~129.14\%$)이였으며 성장율은 사육 온도구간별 차는 없었다.20 km 까지의 지점들(지점 2에서 지점 6)에서 매우 높은 값을 보이며 이는 조석작용으로 해수와 담수가 강제혼합되면서 표층퇴적물이 재부유하기 때문이라고 판단된다. 영양염류는 월별로 다소의 차이는 있으나, 대체적으로 지점 1과 2에서 가장 낮고, 상류로 갈수록 점차 증가하며 지점 7 상류역이 하류역에 비해 높은 농도이다. 월별로는 7월에 규산염, 용존무기태질소 및 암모니아의 농도가 가장 높은 반면에 용존산소포화도는 가장 낮다. 그러나 지점 14 상류역에서는 5월에 측정한 용존무기태질소, 암모니아, 인산염 및 COD 값이 7월보다 다소 높거나 비슷하다. 한편 영양염류와 COD값은 대체적으로 8월에 가장 낮으나 용존산소포화도는 가장 높다.출조건은 $100^{\circ}C$에서 1분간의 고온단시간 추출이 적합하였다. 증가를 나타내었는데

  • Pulse Oximeter is used two different wavelength light sources. Two signals measured by light transmission in the body parts. SPo2 is calculated from the measured signal. These optical methods is have the light absorption properties of oxygen in the blood. SPo2 is to be called vital signs of $5^{th}$and important in modern medical. But, exist pulse oximeter was used just user for viewing the SPo2. That was a lack of used communication Monitoring function. In this paper using the Bluetooth feature on the exist pulse oximeter to communicate with the outside of the Gateway for design medical devices standards protocol IEEE 11073-10404 built-in pulse oximeter. Also user can be monitoring the U-Health Gateway through the pass SPo2 information.

  • This paper presents calorie expenditure prediction model of daily activity of elderly living alone for LBS(Location Based Service) applications. The proposed method is to describe the daily activity patterns of older adult using PIR (Passive InfraRed) motion sensors and to examine the relationships between physical activity and calorie expenditure. The developed motion detecting system is composed of a sensing system and a server system. The motion detecting system is a set of wireless sensor nodes which has PIR sensor to detect a motion of elder. Each sensing node sends its detection signal to a home gateway via wireless link. The home gateway stores the received signals into a remote database. The server system is composed of a database server and a web server, which provides web-based monitoring system to caregivers for more effective services. The experiment results show the adaptability and feasibility of the calorie expenditure model.

  • According to an aging population has dramatically increased in over the world, silver care becomes more important than other field. In this paper, we design and implement an old age patient care system that allows a carer to instantly monitor the status of proteges and notifies emergency of a patient to a medical institute. The system uses RFIDs and infrared sensors implemented in embedded software to analyze the activity and movement detection of the elderly. And the home gateway allows easy integration with heterogeneous devices by employing OSGi that is a middleware standard for home gateways. We can verify the information on the activity per day and the activity per week by Web browsers and view realtime video on the elderly by Web Cam using the implemented system. The system also can send us cell phone messages and E-mail in case of emergency.

  • In this paper, we proposed the novel algorithm which controls the resolution of the HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface) by the channel estimation from WiFi-AP(Access Point) in the ISM(Industry-Science-Medical) band. The 2.4 and 5 GHz channel models are widely used since they have identical RF property as RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication). Especially, the performance degradation of signal-transmission and streaming of WiFi will be occurred by the co-channel interference between AP(Access Point) and increased number of smart devices. Therefore, the optimization scheme of video format timing was designed by HDMI-CEC(Consumer Electronics Control) which considers the transmission speed of radio channel. The HDMI resolution, video quality of home-gateway and digital TV and the decision of PIP position can be maintained by the protocols between smart devices and DLNA(Digital Living Network Alliance) via proposed technique.
