A Probabilistic Load Balancing Scheme for Improving Service Quality of a Wireless Mesh Network (무선 메쉬 망의 서비스 품질 향상을 위한 확률적 부하 분담 기법)

  • As the use of Internet and information communication technology is being generalized, the SSL protocol is essential in Internet because the important data should be transferred securely. While the SSL protocol is designed to defend from active attack such as message forgery and message alteration, the cipher suite setting can be easily modified. If the attacker draw on a malfunction of the client system and modify the cipher suite setting to the symmetric key algorithm which has short key length, he should eavesdrop and cryptanalysis the encrypt data. In this paper, we examine the domestic web site whether they generate the security session in the symmetric key algorithm which has short key length and propose the solution of the cipher suite setting problem.

Performance of TCP without congestion control (혼잡제어를 하지 않는 TCP의 성능)

  • In this study, the performance is compared between RFC compatible normal TCP and several speed constraints Ignored TCP. To do these, the main algorithms that constraints the transmit rate of TCP are modified. We have modified TCP protocol stack in a Linux kernel to compare the speeds between the standard TCP and our modified TCP. We find that if the destination is short distance away from the source and packet error is scarce then the speed differences between normal and modified TCP nay be negligible. However, if the destination is far away from the source and slow start algorithm is not adopted then the transfer time for small file is different greatly In addition, if packet error occurred frequently, our modified TCP is faster than the standard TCP regardless of distance.

  • 첨단교통정보시스템(ATIS)의 핵심 요소라 할 수 있는 동적경로안내 시스템(Dynamic Route Guidance System : DRGS)은 운전자가 목적지에 도착하기까지 실시간 교통정보를 토대로 최적경로를 안내해 줌으로써 날로 심화되어 가고 있는 교통혼잡을 최소화할 수 있으리라 기대를 모으고 있다. 특히 교통사고나 긴급도로공사 등으로 인해 발생하는 돌발적 교통혼잡하에서는 DRGS의 역할이 더욱 커질 것으로 예상되고 있다. 본 논문은 돌발적 교통혼잡하에서 보다 효과적인 DRGS의 경로 안내 알고리즘을 개발하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 우선 하부구조기반(Infrastructure Based) DRGS와 개인차량기반(In-vehicle Based)DRGS의 장단점을 운전자, 교통행정당국, 그리고 교통체계관점에서 비교하였고, 시스템 아키텍쳐와 경로안내 알고리즘간의 상호관계를 규명하였다. 또한 효율적인 경로안내를 위해 사용자 평형(User Equilibrium)경로안내전략과 시스템최적화(System Optimal) 경로안내전략을 이상형 교통망(Idealistic Network)을 통해 비교분석하였다. 여기에는 현재 ITS-America에서 System Architecture 평가를 위해 사용한 INTEGRATION이라는 ITS Simulation Model과 그 통행저항함수를 사용하였다. 이를 토대로 돌발적 교통혼잡상황 아래서 사용자평형 경로안내를 제공할 경우 야기될 수 있는 Braess` Paradox 문제와, 총통행시간을 최소화하기 위한 시스템최적 경로안내를 제공할 경우 일어날 수 있는 사용자 호응도(User Compliance)문제를 동시에 고려한 적응형 동적경로안내 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 여기에는 돌발적 교통혼잡하에서 통행시간을 동적으로 예측하기 위해 이산형 확정적 대기행렬모형(Discrete Deterministic Queueing Model)이 사용되었다. 한편 알고리즘의 효율성을 평가하기 위해 이상형 교통망과, 실제 미국 Virginia 주의 Fairfax County에 소재한 주간 고속도로 66번(I-66)과 인접 교통망의 교통자료를 사용하여 각종 돌발교통 혼잡 상황을 전제로 한 Traffic Simulation과 정보제공시나\리오를 INTEGRATION Model을 이용해 실행하였다. 그 결과 적응형 알고리즘이 개개인의 최단시간 경로를 제공하는 사용자 평형 경로안내전략에 비해 교통혼잡도와 정체시간의 체류정도에 따라 3%에서 10%까지 전체통행시간을 절약할 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다.

A Handoff Mechanism to Avoid Congestion in Wireless Cells (무선 셀에서의 혼잡 발생을 피하는 핸드오프 방안)

  • To provide mobile nodes with continuous communication services, it is important to reduce the packet losses during handoffs. The handoffs of mobile nodes cause packet losses and decrease of TCP throughput on account of a variety of factors. One of those is the congestion in the new cell. Due to the congestion, not only the node moving into the cell but also the already existing nodes that were successfully communicating in the cell suffer the performance degradation. In this paper we propose a new handoff mechanism called‘packet freeze control’, which avoids the congestion caused by handoffs by regulating the influx of traffic burst into the new cell. Packet freeze control is applicable to a wireless network domain in which FAs(Foreign Agents) are connected hierarchically and constitute a logical tree. It gradually increases the number of packets transferred to the new cell by buffering packets in the FAs on the packet delivery path over the wireless network domain. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism not only reduces the packet losses but also enhances the TCP throughput of other mobile nodes in the cell.

  • Currents which are generated at both ends of drive motor by operating brake pedal when subway train is driving, will generate the reviltalization actual effect if they are not used immediately. So there exist rolling stock established Dynamic braking annex for the purpose of stable brake performance in case there are no retrogress train around or no stable wiring voltage.Therefore 55% of entered energy are consumed in subway train. 45% are used in down gradient section or for regeneration energy and among them 25% are used for another train's retrogression through the wiring. So to reduce reviltalization method keeping the existing system, substation's service voltage should be declined about 5%. And then it will ease off excessive wiring voltage rise. And there need energy reduction by flexible service voltage adjustment and study for energy consumption efficiency in the subway.

  • 본 고에서는 미국의 GPS로 대변되는 GNSS의 현황을 개괄하고 선진국들이 경쟁적으로 구축하고 있는 현 시점에서의 화두인 주파수 혼잡도에 대해서도 설명한다. 그리고, 다원화 GNSS시대를 맞아 예견되는 사용자 측면에서의 활용기술 발전을 전망하고 특히 GNSS 체계로부터 획득할 수 있는 PNT 정보와 IOT의 연계에 대해서도 전망한다.

The Performance Improvement using Rate Control in End-to-End Network Systems (종단간 네트워크 시스템에서 승인 압축 비율 제어를 이용한 TCP 성능 개선)

  • In this paper, we extend the performance of bidirectional TCP connection over end-to-end network that uses transfer rate-based flow and congestion control. The sharing of a common buffer by TCP packets and acknowledgement has been known to result in an effect called ack compression, where acks of a connection arrive at the source bunched together, resulting in unfairness and degraded throughput. The degradation in throughput due to bidirectional traffic can be significant. Even in the simple case of symmetrical connections with adequate window size, the connection efficiency is improved about 20% for three levels of background traffic 2.5Mbps, 5.0Mbps and 7.5Mbps. Otherwise, the throughput of jitter is reduced about 50% because round trip delay time is smaller between source node and destination node. Also, we show that throughput curve is improved with connection rate algorithm which is proposed for TCP congetion avoidance as a function of aggressiveness threshold for three levels of background traffic 2.5Mbps, 5Mbps and 7.5Mbps. By analyzing the periodic bursty behavior of the source IP queue, we derive estimated for the maximum queue size and arrive at a simple predictor for the degraded throughput, applicable for relatively general situations.

Studies on User and Use Characteristics of Soknisan National Park, Korea (속리산 국립공원의 이용객 및 이용특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate user, use characteristics and use pattern of Soknisan national park. In this study, the questionaire was used which was included the questions on socioeconomic variables of users, visiting motivations, attitudes on management and services, and so on. And to count the passingers, 9 observation points were selected. Visitor's important motivations were to escape from crowded city, to escape from daily routine, to enjoy natural seeing beauty, and so on. Their main activities were temple visit, stroll and mountain climbing. The visitor's composition showed that high school or more graduated twenties were respectively dominant. Perceived crowding level in this park were relatively high and most crowded area was Bupjusa area. Visitors had unsatisfactory attitudes on management and services as like trail, facilities, educational environment and others related services. Accordingly satisfaction level was comparatively low. A major portion of visitors merely visited Bupjusa area, only 15% and less climbed as far as top of mountain.

  • 서울시는 선진 대도시와는 달리 노면교통이 도시고속도로 중심이 아니라 신호교차로와 좌회전이 많은 일반 간선도로에 대한 의존도가 높기 때문에 일부 구간에서의 정체는 공간적으로 파급효과가 크게 나타나는 도로교통체계를 갖고 있다. 따라서 통행량 유발이 집중되는 시설이 많이 위치한 강남과 도심의 일부구역의 정체는 강남과 도심 전체의 교통소통에 악영향을 주고 있고 이러한 문제를 해소하기 위해서는 교통zoning제도의 한 방식인 교통특별관리구역 제도의 도입을 통한 강력한 블록별 통행규제가 절대적으로 필요하다고 판단된다. 본 연구의 목적은 서울시에서 $\ulcorner$교통특별관리구역$\lrcorner$ 제도를 성공적으로 도입하기 위해 아시아-유럽 정상회담 개최장소인 강남의 ASEM지구에 대한 사례연구를 통해 그 적절한 시행방안을 사전적으로 검토하는데 있다. 본 연구결과 특별관리구역의 공간적 범위를 크게 하고 통과교통도 규제하는 것이 교통개선효과 측면에서는 가장 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 공간적 범위를 크게 할 경우에는 직접적으로 혼잡유발에 책임이 없는데도 불구하고 규제의 대상이 되는 형평성 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 한편, 공간적 범위를 혼잡유발시설 주변으로 축소하고 도착통행만을 규제할 경우에는 전이교통이 늘어나서 규제의 효과가 잘 나타나지 않고 오히려 규제대상만 불편하게 하는 문제점이 나타났다. 연구결과 나타난 문제를 보완하기 위해서는 가능한 구역의 범위는 혼잡유발정도가 큰 건물이 밀집되어 있는 블록 주변으로 한정하되, 교통개선효과를 높이기 위해서는 구역 내를 통과하는 교통도 규제의 대상이 될 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다. 통과교통도 규제의 대상이 되기 때문에 구역을 범위를 설정할 때 구역 주변도로의 교통상황을 신중하게 고려해야 할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Conceptualization of store image have been suggested in the past by many marketing scholars. The dominant perspective about store image is treated as the results of a multi-attribute model. Store image is expressed as a function of the salient attributes of a particular store that are evaluated. Though, there is a little confusions about what elements compose the store image, most scholars agree that merchandise, service, atmosphere, physical facilities, comfort, and location are generally accepted elements as store image. A considerable researches support that shopping can provide both hedonic and utilitarian value. Hedonic shopping value reflects the value received from fantasy and emotive aspects of shopping experience, while utilitarian shopping value reflects the acquisition of products. These two types of shopping value can affect shopping satisfaction. This study examines the relationships among stores images(store atmosphere, salespeople services, facilities, product assortment, and store location), shopping values(utilitarian shopping value and hedonic shopping value), and shopping satisfaction based on discount stores (E-Mart, Home plus, and Lotte Mart). The author hypothesized that five store image components affect shopping values, and these shopping values affect shopping satisfaction. The author focused on the roles of perceived retail crowding between these relationships. Specifically, the author hypothesized that perceived retailing crowding moderated the relationship between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. The author also hypothesized the direct effect of perceived retail crowding on shopping satisfaction. Finally, the author hypothesized that five store image components affect directly shopping satisfaction. Research model is presented in

    . To test model and hypotheses, data were collected from 114 consumers located mid-size city in local area. The author employs PLS methodology (SmartPLS 2.0) to test hypotheses. Data analysis results indicate that among five store images salespeople services, and store location affect utilitarian shopping value. Store atmosphere, salespeople services, and store location affect hedonic shopping value. Two shopping values affect shopping satisfaction.     . The author analyzed the relationship between perceived retail crowding and shopping satisfaction using WarpPLS 3.0 which can analyze the non-linear relationship. Result indicates that perceived retail crowding affects directly shopping satisfaction and there is a non-linear relationship between them. Among five store image components, store atmosphere and salespeople services affect directly shopping satisfaction. The author describes about the managerial implications, limitations, and future research issues.
