The term hybridity has recently emerged as one of the most popularized leitmotivs in contemporary diasporic and transnational problematics on migrants' nomadic experiences. Especially, in postcolonial politics, hybridity is argued to provide a critical 'third space' on which to challenge discursive boundaries and redescribe power-embedded history However, this paper suggests that the hybrid subject position can be easily articulated in producing new cultural discourse and empowering hegemonic subjects in certain spates. Based on distinguishing the intentional, conscious hybridity from the organic, lived hybridity, this research Intends to investigate the Janus-faced, double-edged nature of the postcolonial politics of hybridity in the case of Los Angeles Koreatown. First, I discuss how a place of organic hybridity in Koreatown can lead to challenging invented and depoliticized ethnicity. At the second half of this paper, 1 focus on understanding the ways in which new Korean American professionals and elites employ the discourse of '1.5 generation' as an intentional hybridity for empowering their own political position at a local scale. I conclusively suggest that hybridity should be a deconstructive strategy to unlearn dominant socio-spatial boundaries rather than bring about the third space as a reterritorialized political position.

My former thesis was about the present status of Korean film aesthetics of Korean blockbusters through the cultural hybridity. Now this thesis focuses on hybridity and tragedy in Korean blockbusters from the postcolonial perspectives. Typical examples are Shiri, JSA, Taegukgi containing a special Korean situation of division ideology and expressing an extremely Western style of production. These movies hardly provide any historical causes, critical explanation, or vision beyond the discourse of national tragedy. They simply supply sentimental feeling of sympathizing with the misfortune of heroes in the course of national suffering. Therefore, these movies shows limitation not to accomplish postcolonial resistance.

The purpose of this study was to research the limits of sports films from the perspective of social structural on the category, the material, the formulas and the mixture of the materials in the movie. The results were as follows: First, Sports films have been faced with the basic problem as to what a standards the category were classified with because of the conceptual confusion about what sports movie was. Second, sports movies could not catch up with a lot of changes in the movies. Third, sports movies were confined, without flexibility, within old fashioned formality of stories which prevails in modern sports. Lastly, they didn't have the mixture of the materials due to the fixed recognition on sports.

국내의 주요 외곽시설은 대수심화 및 설계외력의 증대 등으로 경제성 및 안정성 등의 확보를 위해 혼성제 형식의 구조물을 적용하는 사례가 주를 이루고 있다. 혼성제 근고부 안정성과 관련해서는, 설계파에 대한 안정적인 피복재 중량을 구하는 것이 설계상 중요하다. 기존의 직각 입사파에 대한 연구는 많이 수행되어 왔으나, 경사 입사파 조건에 대한 검토 사례는 미미한 실정이다. 또한 직각입사 뿐만 아니라 경사 입사파에 대한 근고부 중량산정식으로 확장된 Tanimoto식을 적용하고 있으나, 수리실험과 중량산정식에 대한 오차가 발생하고 있어 수리실험을 통해 기존의 산정식에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 경사입사파 조건에 따른 혼성제 제두부 구간의 피복재 안정성에 대하여 실험을 수행하였다. 설치수심은 0.3m 수심으로 고정하고, 입사각도를 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° 및 75°로 변화시켜 실험을 수행하였다. 전체 연장 10m의 모형에서 종점부 1m 구간을 실험구간으로 설정하고, 피복재의 종류는 피복석(50g), 콘크리트 피복블록(Tetrapod, Tripod)를 사용하였으며, 파랑조건은 불규칙파를 적용하였다. 주기 및 파고를 변화시켜 수리실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과는 제두부 구간에 피복된 피복재의 구간별 피해율을 분석하기 위해 구역분할도 적용하였으며, 확장된 Tanimoto식과 비교분석하여 중량산정식의 타당성을 검토하였다.

본 연구에서 혼성기준 어프로치의 성과가 기존 방법론들의 성과를 선형결합 한 직선보다 상당히 아래에 나타나 기존 방법들보다 우월함을 알 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 일부의 경우에는 배칭 어프로치보다 짧은 평균 리이드 탐임과 유연 어프로치보다 짧은 총생산지체시간을 나타내고 있다. 혼성기준을 선정 할 때 모든 상황에 대해서 효율적인 혼성기준이 있는 것이 아니라 전체시스 템의 가동률이 높고 낮음에 따라, 즉 기계 유형간 작업시간의 불균형의 정도 에 따라 유동적으로 선택하여야 한다. 시스템의 가동률이 전반적으로 낮을 때는 혼성기준을 낮게 설정 (약 40%에서 65%)하는 것이 바람직하고, 시스템 의 가동률이 높을 때는 (약 65%에서 90%정도)는 혼성기준을 높게 설정하는 것이 바람직하다.

Through the biographical approach, the current research purports to reconstruct the Changeprocess of values and identities on the lives of the first-generation Korean-German females in Germany from the transnational perspective. Ten interviews were conducted, using Schutze's autobiographicalnarrative interview. Interview data were analyzed through the application of Schutze's autobiographical-narrative interview and Mayring's qualitative content analysis. Findings showed that on the onset of emigration, their values centered around hybrid collectivism. Their life in the process of emigration was characteristic of a shift to hybrid individualism. Furthermore, the life at beginning of emigration was found to be characterized by a singular regional identity. The process of emigration was shown to mark the conversion into dual identity, dual regional and dual national. Some theoretical and practical suggestions for the emigrants' welfare were finally offered that were associated with the process of values and identities changes in their life.

It is not easy to understand that the drama with various aspects of political-economics and psychology in a certain popular cultural contents. People, however, does want to reconstruct the meaning of the real world and the hyper - reality, it means cross of oldness and newness, through the films. We try to analyze in religious/philosophical aspect with hybrid narrative, characters and condensed meaning in series. This try shows a good example way of understanding series which on the border line of newness and oldness.

Partial safety factors of the load, resistance, and reliability function are evaluated according to the target probability of failure on sliding mode of monolithical vertical caisson of composite breakwaters. After reliability function is formulated for sliding failure mode of caisson of composite breakwaters regarding bias of wave force, uncertainties of random variables related to loads, strengths are analyzed. Reliability analysis for the various conditions of water depth, geometric, and wave conditions is performed using Level II AFDA model for the sliding failure. Furthermore, the reliability model is also applied to the real caisson of composite breakwaters of Daesan, Dong- hae, and Pohang harbor. By comparing the required width of caisson of composite breakwater according to target probability of failure with the other results, the partial safety factors evaluated in this study are calibrated straightforwardly. Even though showing a little difference on the 1% of target probability, it may be found that the present results agree well with the other results in every other target probability of failure.

N-Vinylurea(VU) was radically copolymerized with vinyl acetate (VAc). VU-vinyl alcohol (VA) copolymer, which is a water-soluble polymer with pendent urea and hydroxyl groups, was synthesized by the methanolysis of the VU-VAc copolymer.VU shows vinyl polymerization, and this result is in agreement with that of Nozakura, et al. Huggins constant for the aqueous solution of the VU-VA copolymer containing more than about 30 mole percent of VU was observed to be a high value.

본 연구는 1980년 Moses-Anas에 의해 제안된 $\ulcorner혼성로-짓모형\lrcorner$의 유효성을 서울 시의 출근통행실태 자료를 이용하여 검증하기 위한 것으로, $\ulcorner혼성로-짓모형\lrcorner$에 의한 추정 결과와 $\ulcorner전통적로-짓모형\lrcorner$에 의한 추정결과를 통계적 시점에서 상호 비교하였다. 이용된 자료는 1981년6월10일부터 6월16일까지 일주일간의 출근통행실태자료이며 조사표본수는 약 2000여 표본이었다. $\ulcorner혼성로-짓모형\lrcorner$에 의한 추정결과는 $\ulcorner전통적로-짓모형\lrcorner$ 에 의한 경 우보다 통계적으로 우월한 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 통행시간 및 통행비용에 대한 선택확률 의 탄력성은 $\ulcorner혼성모형\lrcorner$에 의해 추정된 결과가 더욱 합리적인 것으로 판명되었다.
